TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

So the seat of the Ultimate Sickness is the mind; thus, it is that mind which must be the focus of the treatment. If persons' minds are split or torn as a result of being filled with dualistic, separatist beliefs, then the Ultimate Medicine which is an antidote for that mindset can address the problem; if minds are sick because of psychological splitting, then a different treatment is called for.

NON-DUALITY AS OPPOSED TO THE DUALITY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SPLITTING (Continued)

Post-Realization, the relative is not abandoned. The summative statement of Advaita is not "I AM THAT." Even post-Realization, the statement remains "I AM THAT; I AM." While "the Realized" - being free of living under the influence of false ego-states - will not become emotionally-intoxicated as a result of the desires or fears of such personalities, they will feel

While ego-states inspire emoting - and result in instability - the Realized with have feelings. They will generally be witnessed as they rise and fall; yet just as emoting can result in emotional intoxication, so too does the possibility exist for feeling intoxication - and thus instability - to manifest if the feeling lingers.

And why would feelings linger? If the cause is mental, then the "mind" has not yet been totally abandoned. There are lingering beliefs which are driving thoughts and words and deeds.

But what if the cause is not mental? What if feelings are lingering even though the "mind" has been totally abandoned and there are no lingering beliefs which are driving thoughts and words and deeds?

And what if physiological forces are at play which are generating feelings which have nothing to do with the "mind" or ego-states or emotions? The fact is, there are many such possibilities.

So, instability can be a result of multiple factors. So far, the following have been addressed:

1. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY DUALITY-BASED SPLITTING

2. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY PSYCHOLOGICAL SPLITTING with references to

3. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY CULTURAL INFLUENCES (especially among cultures that are dominated by those who have descended from the race which has historically been the most separatist and destructive and violent and which still disseminates much of the programming that supports a sense of superiority and "different-from-ness" and "better-than-ness" and aloofness and coldness and rigidity)

4. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY PERSONALITY DISORDERS (Including not only the Splitting Personality Disorder, the Idealization Personality Disorder, the Devaluation Personality Disorder, and the Cyclothymic Personality Disorder but also the entire spectrum of other personality disorders) and relatedly . . .

5. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY A FAILURE TO PSYCHICALLY INTEGRATE AND INSTEAD THE TENDENCY TO PSYCHICALLY DISINTEGRATE

6. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY ADULTS WHO MODEL CONSTANT MOOD SWINGS AND INSTABILITY AND BEING TEMPERAMENTAL AND INCONSISTENT SO THAT THEY ARE ALWAYS UNPREDICTABLE

7. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY FIXATING IN "THE PARENT" OR "THE CHILD" ROLE RATHER THAN INTERACTING FROM THE STANCE OF THE MATURE ADULT

 8. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY EMOTIONAL INTOXICATION

 9. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY RELIGIOUS / SPIRITUAL INTOXICATION

10. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY A NEED FOR FULL REALIZATION

11. INSTABILITY / INSANITY INDUCED BY CHEMICAL IMBALANCES AND BIOLOGICAL FACTORS (including biorhythmic shifts and both male and female menopause) and others to be discussed. It was asked, "What if physiological forces are at play that are generating feelings which have nothing to do with the "mind" or ego-states or emotions? The fact is, there are many such possibilities." The following has been shared previously but is relevant here:

Maharaj discussed the fact that, at times, certain disharmonies can manifest during this IS-ness that have nothing to do with being "Fully Realized" or not. There are times when the body chemistry is "off," when there is missing a synchronized combustion of energy throughout all of the body parts.

All efforts to Realize Fully and to fixate as Your Original Nature will be futile if this issue is not addressed:

Maharaj: “Suppose I am not able to think, that my mind is not clear. What does it mean? It means my food essence is rather dull today. It is not getting into combustion in proper order; therefore, the thinking is also dull. This mind pertains to the food essences.”

The following subject matter is discussed periodically to make clear that persons during these modern times are facing a new challenge in the efforts to remain stable, a challenge which had not even been an issue until the last 50-60 years or so. The food supply across most of the planet is now as contaminated as the "minds" of the masses.

Additionally, even if persons could find non-contaminated food that has the same nutritional value as farm-grown foods had fifty to one hundred years ago, most persons are not adhering to a food plan that is appropriate for their body type, metabolically-speaking.

THE THREE METABOLIC BODY TYPES

There are three metabolic body types, fairly evenly-distributed around the globe in thirds, and if one is not following the food plan which is appropriate for her / his specific body type, then there will manifest an assortment of problems that appear to be mental or emotional in nature but that are actually physical in nature.

So what are some examples of what can manifest when an improper food plan is being adhered to, examples that have formerly been thought to be mental or emotional only?

Adrenal glands under functioning? The result will be a sense of being overwhelmed, unable to cope with stress, and driven by anxiety.

Hypothalamus under functioning? One will be unable to differentiate true from false.

Like head lettuce or other foods that affect the body's Ph balance? With 2 out of 3 types, such foods can cause moodiness and depression.

Low in magnesium? Prepare for nightmares.

Thyroid under-functioning? Prepare for depression and weight gain.

Problems with blood sugar levels? Prepare for mood swings and a sense of loss of control.

Undernourishing the sympathetic branch of the nervous system? Then you will be driven into a go-do-zoom existence.

Deficient in calcium or magnesium? Forget about any chance to feel soothed and relaxed.

Consider this pointer offered many years ago by Spinoza:

“Whatever increases, decreases, limits or extends the body’s power of action, increases, decreases, limits or extends the mind’s power of action. And whatever increases, decreases, limits or extends the mind’s power of action, also increases, decreases, limits or extends the body’s power of action.” Thus, it should be seen that much of what the Advaita teachings offer to try to address mind and personality issues may well be body issues instead.

If you are among the "I've got it!" I've got it! Oh no . . . I lost it" crowd, you might consider all of the factors that could be at play in that scenario. As for adhering to religious and spiritual dietary restrictions and thinking that those can provide deliverance and salvation - as well as provide evidence of the purity and high nature of one's assumed roles - the invitation is to be aware of the scientific facts which reveal that such restrictions can and will lead to instability and pain and misery and suffering among two-thirds of the people on the planet.

To be continued.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
