FURTHER DISCUSSIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING SHAKESPEARE'S NON-DUAL QUOTES AND POINTERS 

Shakespeare's "Humours"

As the non-realized wander or ricochet through the relative, they take their “world” to be a stage (to use the realized poet’s words). Their imagined “world,” then, is conceived to be a stage and “all the men and women, merely players.” 

Each plays a role (actually, multiple roles) in the Theater of the Lie, in the Drama of Fiction, and eventually all of the actors become convinced that they are the roles being played. 

When reality is overlaid on the relative, then the acting ends. There is no one to “act stoical, rational, calm, or non-emotional.” There is no one left to continue living in the mirror as happened before. Realization is about not acting and about seeing that the stage is a stage and that persons are all actors; 

about seeing that so many are merely putting on an act; about walking off the imaginary stage; about no longer accepting roles that inspire depression, anger or fear; and about moving through the remainder of the manifestation fully awake, aware, and conscious. 

[Add “in a totally spontaneous and natural fashion” if the realization happened via the Nisarga Yoga.] 

The “Night of the Living Dead”-type of robotic-like, trance-like walking about as if asleep ends. 

The way the relative unfolds post-realization was also addressed in this exchange yesterday after a comment about the ways in which “the humours” fluctuate: 

By the way, to consider the sanguine and phlegmatic and choleric and melancholic humour states to be a part of what is natural is not outside the nisarga understanding—back to the biorhythms and the body's cycles—as long as it is clear that all of that involves a body and nothing more. 

The “Non-Dualist” Louise abiding in South Africa said: "A couple of years back, I had the sense that a feeling (joy, sadness, love, pain) blows through consciousness like a wave. Then human beings caught in that wave, personalize it. We say 'I am sad because . . . blah blah'."

Floyd: "Or that could be said to be 'mind-alizing' it as well as personalizing it. If 'fully realized,' (totally free of all the belief in all learned ignorance) then there can be no thought following a witnessed feeling."

Louise: “Is this true – the idea of a feeling wave? With personality in place, the humours or even the fundamental feeling tone of the enneatype must play its tune. How is that natural? Or is it only unnatural when we personalize rather than just witness the feeling?” 

Floyd: “It is natural in that the efficiency level of the brain’s operations—as well as the fluctuations in the body’s levels of energy—continually fluctuate in all humans, animals, birds, etc. 

“You infer accurately when noting that it becomes unnatural when the “mind” personalizes that which is not a “feeling” but is an “emotion.” Only ego-states can generate emotions . . . the emoting that leads to emotional intoxication, acting out, etc. 

“It is the unblocked, post-realization consciousness that can witness feelings rise or fall without becoming emotionally-intoxicated. 

"Consider: Maharaj noted that the body pain from his throat cancer had nothing to do with 'Him' (the witnessing consciousness). 

"Just as ‘He’ pointed out that ‘He’ was merely the witness of the body and the pain, You and I could as easily say, ‘Ah, the space has some of that black bile stuff going on - the stuff Shakespeare mentioned’." 

“Maharaj said that the body might have certain imbalances in its chemistry on any given day, so the consciousness can register or note some sense of ‘melancholia,’ but that has nothing to do with the witnessing agent. 

“To watch a train plowing through a truck that stalled on a railroad track is not to be plowed through your self. Maharaj explained that Westerners usually display tamas (darkness, melancholia, passivity) and rajas (motion, restlessness, the going-doing-zooming syndrome) rather than sattva (being as opposed to doing). 

“Tamas and rajas can indicate a lack of realization if involved with ‘personalizing’ sadness or if rooted in fears or desires that trap persons in their continuous efforts to accumulate and escape. When that is the case, there is no going into or out of harmony and disharmony. The disharmony dominates the existence. 

”Yet fluctuations in what were once called ‘the humours’ can also manifest as a result of the body’s physical condition. As is the case when a mix of water and gasoline are introduced into the tank of a car and the engine misfires, such is also the case when a food plan is being followed that is not the plan for a particular body type—three different types being in existence. 

“Maharaj addressed that very effect, making note of the way that the body’s chemistry can be out of balance, (the body being nothing more than a plant food body, chemical at its core.) 

“Either an absence of full realization or a body’s chemical imbalance can result in one exhibiting similar behaviors, but the causes are obviously quite different and require quite different approaches in addressing the real issue. 

“No matter what, however, the body has nothing to do with ‘What You Are’ or with ‘What I Am’.” 

Louise: “Ok – that is clear. So there may be effects that arise from the body (pain from illness; biorhythms, hormones, effects of diet or poor quality of food, etc) – but since I am not the body, these can simply be witnessed.” 

Floyd: “Exactly. Sickness and health can be associated with the body and are aspects of the consciousness, yet I am not the consciousness—neither are You. How is that known? Sickness and health are dualities and dualities have nothing to do with You or Me. 

“That Which You Are and That Which I Am is beyond the consciousness, beyond the beingness and even beyond the non-beingness. 

“The body needs so many things, but neither You nor I need anything. As for consciousness, it too is restless in that it is always in motion. Stability can only come via first abiding as the original nature, as that original state. Then, unwavering peace and resolute freedom come when abiding as the Void.”

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

Shakespeare's Pointer on Ego-State Assumption 

A “metaphor” is “a linguistic device by which one thing is said to be another.” 

The non-dual invitation is to understand that the relative existence is a metaphorical existence, and all metaphors are statements of untruth. For example: 

“I am a spouse.” 

Any belief in a personal identification / an ego-state triggers the use of egotism and other ego-defense mechanisms to defend / support that belief. 

Thus, “I am a spouse” soon leads egotism to upgrade one’s assumed ego-state so that the revised belief soon becomes: 

“I am a super spouse and thus deserve nothing less than a super spouse.” 

Since the belief in “spouse-ness” is a product of acculturation and is merely another lie / false identity which cultures have generated, and since the belief that one can be a “Super Spouse” is a product of acculturation + egotism, the result is . . . a divorce rate which is typically in the range of 50-60%. 

How's that? 

All ego-states / assumed personality identifications require a co-dependent, counterpart, corresponding, complementary player: 

For one to be able to assume and play the role of “employer,” that person must have . . . “an employee”; 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “teacher,” that person must have . . . “a student”; 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “leader,” that person must have . . . “a follower” or “followers”; 

and 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “spouse,” that person must have . . . “a spouse.” 

Yet always egotism kicks in to defend and support and perpetuate false identities / ego-states. 

Therefore, 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “super employer,” that person must have . . . “a super employee” or “super employees"; 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “super teacher,” that person must have . . . “a super student” or “super students”; 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “super leader,” that person must have . . . “a super follower” or “super followers”; 

and 

for one to be able to assume and play the role of “super spouse,” that person must have . . . “a super spouse.” 

Yet that desire / expectation is impossible to fulfill because there is no such thing as a “spouse,” much less “a super spouse.” All such false, culture-inspired and egotism-driven identities are bogus, false, not real at all. 

Some have asked, “Are you surprised that a divorce rate which is typically in the range of 50-60% is so commonplace?” 

The answer: “You bet. I would anticipate that the rate would be more like 95-100%, seeing how the characters involved in every marriage are based in delusions which are magnified by egotism-driven distortions and false self perspectives.” 

Yet the understanding is that all personal identities are driven by hidden motives involving desires or fears (or usually both), so it is also understandable why 40-50% do not divorce but “hang in there” for whatever payoff it is that they want. 

Add to the fact that the same 40-50% are asleep and therefore immune to being fully aware of the lie which they are living and then the lower-than-expected divorce rate can be comprehended. 

Moreover, remember that 59% of all of the women killed annually in the U.S. and 41% of all of the men killed annually in the U.S. are killed during a “breakup.” And what is a “breakup,” really? 

It is a breaking or shattering of a false identity which is believed to have been real; 

thus, a “breakup” is merely an event in which a cherished ego-state finds out that the co-dependent, counterpart, corresponding, complementary player (whose role playing allowed an ego-state / assumed personality identification to falsely believe that it was real) has announced that she / he is not going to be playing that counterpart role anymore. 

Now those killed during a “breakup” are not retroactively declared by record keepers to have been automatically divorced prior to their having been murdered, so the “divorce rate” / the “ended marriage rate” is actually far, far higher than reported. 

Now does all that sound pessimistic? It is not. It is realistic, which the assumed identities involved in the “breakups” most assuredly were not. 

Is the answer to ban marriage? Of course not. The answer would be for persons to wake up and realize what is real and what is not. As noted in a post more than five years ago: 

The non-dual take is that "husbanding" can happen without believing the lie that part of one’s actual identity is “The Husband” (who soon self-upgrades to “The Super Husband”) and that "wifing" can happen without believing the lie that part of one’s actual identity is “The Wife” (who soon self-upgrades to “The Super Wife”). 

Were that to be the case, then (a) pure witnessing could happen and (b) emotional intoxication could end because "the realized" feel but do not emote. 

Emoting / ego-state driven-emotional intoxication results in the 59% / 41% “murder rates during breakups” mentioned above. 

On the other hand, if one is not lost in the dream of false personality identifications and someone says, “I’m leaving you,” then the response might be, “Well, go in peace” or “Rock and roll” or “Goodbye” or even . . . silence. 

But if false roles and metaphors are taken to be true, then the toll can be this: 

When metaphors are taken to be true and when the accumulation-mentality leaves one with a sense that there is never enough and that no one is ever "good" enough, then misery and suffering are sure to follow at some point. 

The realized poet Shakespeare offered this non-dual consideration in metaphorical form as a pointer toward truth: 

“All’s the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Meaning? 

Meaning that nothing in what is called “the world” can be taken to be any more real than what is seen on a theatrical stage. In other words, what is seen is never the real. 

So, what is this? 

99%+ would say, “Why, that’s a brick, Floyd, you damn dimwit.” 

Were I to put the brick beneath an electron microscope and say, “Well look at it again, then you might reconsider your answer.” 

Were it to be looked at under that microscope, what would be seen is a spinning collection of subatomic particles. What the brick appears to be is not what it really is at all. 

That does not suggest that one blogger who says “Nothing is real” has the slightest clue of what she is talking about. The brick, and the elements of which it is composed, are all very real. What is not real is its temporary, assumed appearance. 

Next, while thorns can be used to remove thorns – that is, while “Non-Dualists” might offer many pointers along the “path” - in the end it is to be seen that the truth cannot be stated, that the world is not a stage, and that the non-realized are indeed merely acting like actors and players . . . playing the roles which they were assigned or which they have assumed. In the end, though, it is seen that such pointers are not statements of any final truth, either. 

The invitation is to understand this: the form is never the substance, and the appearance is never the real; 

furthermore,

what is taken to be “a woman” or “a man” or any of the roles being played thereby involves nothing more than persons playing roles that were dreamed up by their current culture or by members of an ancient culture whose superstition-and-ignorance-based beliefs are still assumed to be true by those persons who are presently superstitious and / or ignorant. 

To further understand that “your world” is an all-metaphorical mental construct, consider another definition of metaphor: “the use of a word or phrase that identifies something as being what it is not.” 

The use of illusion-and-delusion-inspiring metaphors that dominate the thinking and beliefs and talk of all cultures and societies is so prevalent that if you became awake to each one you heard or used during any given day, the mere act of cataloguing all of them would likely be exhausting. 

In the relative realm in which duality is considered real, all persons (all of the non-realized) will feel as if they are “multiple things” as a result of the fact that persons are so programmed and conditioned and acculturated that they take metaphors to be statements of truth. 

The phrase “I am” is followed in any given day by thousands of nouns or adjectives which misconstrue “self and Self”; personas for the real; the perceived and the misperceived for reality; nonsensical thoughts for truth; false beliefs for facts; fiction for non-fiction, ad infinitum. 

The result is a planet filled with persons who feel disjointed, torn, broken, in parts, shattered, fractured, cracked, split, ripped, apart from, and divided. Those are only some of the symptoms of the malady of duality and the dualistic thinking generated by the “mind” and by belief in the implications of a multiplicity of metaphors rather than the Oneness. 

With that “mindset” or “frame of mind,” how could one possibly feel anything other than “apart from”? Add in the egotism that comes along with the assumption of metaphor-inspired ego-states and it is a sense of separation rather than any sense of at-one-ment that most often characterizes the relative existence. 

When a man confessed that at a recent funeral he saw a woman with a “short, manly style of hair” and instantly judged her for that mode, he saw how the “mind” really does work to try to separate a person from everyone and everything. This suggestion was offered for his consideration: 

“As you saw when judging another person based on appearance, the mind / ego is always about separation and better-than-ness. All non-realized persons who look into a mirror see a 10, and all non-realized persons who look into a crowd see a 0, see . . . nothing.”

The Drama of the Lie

“Non-dualists” who teach by use of the original Sanskrit employ the term “lila," which means “play.” Other definitions of the word “lila” include “pastime” or “amusement.” The term “lila” is often used in conjunction with the word “maya” (meaning “appearance” or “illusion”) in order to make the point that what persons take to be real is not. 

What persons think they are seeing and what they believe is happening in "this world" is nothing more than a play or a false drama. (Shakespeare made reference to the fact that persons sleepwalk through life and simply play the roles assigned to them by their culture when he said, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women, merely players.”) 

Persons, being asleep and thus unaware, take the play to be real and take their roles to be real when in fact it’s all nothing more than an illusion or appearance. They are living the “Drama of the Lie.” (Shakespeare later provided the antidote: “To thine own Self be true and it must follow as the night the day: thou canst not then be false to any man.”) 

The realized know that the entire manifestation in nature is nothing but an illusion (an appearance, a play, a drama) while also realizing that the absolute consciousness is the only reality. 

Persons "live" on stage, constantly playing one role after another and taking their roles to be their real identity. 

Just as an actor can take his part too seriously and internalize the role as an identity, so too can programmed and conditioned persons act out their roles so often and so seriously that they take the drama that they are a part of to be the real. 

That drama is really the “Drama of the Lie,” wherein persons are behaving as if the play-acting they are engaged in is not play-acting at all; as if the roles they are playing actually define who they are; and as if the roles being played by others truly define who they are. It’s all a lie. 

(One method used by some teachers to awaken those who are asleep to the truth is a psychodrama-type exercise called “The Theater of the Lie” in which a teacher will provide an opportunity for protégés to see all of the false roles they are playing, how their relative existence is nothing but an illusory drama, and how divesting themselves of all the ego-states they’re using as assumed identities can clear the path for them to abandon the false self / selves and to understand what is real). 

Neither "Good" Nor "Bad"

The non-duality poet Shakespeare reported through the words of his character Hamlet, “ . . . There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” 

It is indeed thinking that generates duality; duality produces a desire to judge and label “others” as “good” or “bad”; judging generates a sense of separation and the resulting egotism; and separation and egotism spawn fluctuations of being happy and unhappy. 

Fluctuations in being happy and unhappy insure not only turmoil and chaos but all other relative misery…even including wars; and the widespread delusion of the masses insures that they will continue to fail to see that—in regards to all of the relative mess referenced above—it is the “mind’s” thinking that makes it so. 

The word “dilemma” (Greek, “di” = “two” and “lemma” = “alternatives, choices or propositions”) refers to a “difficult situation” where a person is forced to choose between two propositions, neither of which is a satisfactory alternative. 

It can be seen, therefore, that every “difficult situation” in the relative existence is based in “di” . . . in duality. Too, understand that all dualistic beliefs are stored in that warehouse of fiction called the “mind.” 

Furthermore, understand that once persons are “minded,” they become “dual-minded” persons who are unstable in all ways. A psychiatrist in one of David Baldacci’s novels tells one of his patients, 

“ . . . the answer to your problems is between your left and right frontal lobes. It’s a distance of about four inches and quite remarkable in that it contains trillions of bits of thoughts and memories that make you, you.” 

Yes, the root of all “difficult situations” in the relative are rooted in the dualistic thoughts and memories stored in that portion of the elemental brain than is referred to as “the mind.” 

Therein, the false notion of “you” is housed, a notion that blocks awareness of the real; thus "blocked," "you" really believe that "the false, imagined you" is really "you"; as a result, few will ever be able t6o differentiate between the true and the false. 

Contradicting the dualistic “either-or” fallacy that traps the masses in illusion, the non-dual poet Shakespeare has his character Hamlet offer this pointer: 

“ . . . there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” So there is nothing that is either good or bad. It is only the thoughts and memories stored in that “four-inch area” that leads persons to take such "either-or" duality to be true. 

And yes, the fictional “you” is nothing more than a mental image, a reflection of the “I” consciousness that supposes that it lives in “a world” that is also nothing more than a picture of your “I” consciousness. 

The “Non-dualist” Yeshu’a (“Jesus”) reportedly said, "Heaven and earth shall fade away," meaning that when the consciousness fades away (un-manifests) from the form that persons take themselves to be, their "pictured world" and "pictured self" and "pictured heaven" will fade away as well. It's all in the "mind," not at all in reality. 

Yet that four-inch area of the brain prevents most from knowing the truth of their limitless, infinite, original nature, and that is why most persons will stay trapped within their limited and finite "minds" and will continue to employ their cultures' closed, “either-or” scenarios; that will prevent their looking “outside the box” at the third possibility: Neti-Neti. 

Even more rarely do they consider the “neither-nor” possibility: “I am neither sinful nor moral; I am neither good nor bad.” ("Neti-Neti" reveals the truth of "not this; not this" . . . the truth of "neither-nor." If applied to each and every label and form / space and name, non-dual seekers can eventually eliminate belief in every relative concept, including the "I" and "the world," and arrive at the eternal Truth.) 

Understand how I am neither sinful nor virtuous and neither good nor bad and you’ll also see why this speck of consciousness is neither body nor mind nor persona. This pointer was offered earlier as well: 

Programmed persons are trying to maneuver through their relative existence with “the handicap” of many “reasoning fallacies” that drive them to establish “impossible conditions” or “either-or fallacies” of duality where the two options they typically consider are both erroneous and based in illogical nonsense. 

While some instances of “either-or” can be valid (a woman is either pregnant or not) the “either-or” scenarios used among the masses are typically fallacious. Only the objective witness of "neither-nor" can arrive at the Pure Witnessing / Truth Seeing state.

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

NON-DUAL POINTERS IN THE WRITINGS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE 

QUOTATIONS #14 and #15 

“Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon a stage” 

and 

“Our revels now are ended. These our actors, as I foretold you, were all spirits and are melted into the air, into thin air." 

If you were to step on a person’s shadow and that person were to yell out in pain or fury or offense and then strut about and fret, you would rightly conclude that you were observing insane behavior. Yet millions of times per hour across the globe, that is exactly what happens with persons. Persons take their shadow-self to be “who they really are.” 

To offend the ego-state of “mother” or “father” or “spouse” or “boss” or “authority” or any of the thousands of false roles that persons assume as true identities will result in yelling and pain and fury and a sense of offense. 

Then, those offended personas will strut about and fret. The “life” that persons fight to defend—and the roles that they struggle to preserve—are nothing more than the imaginings of a player in the Drama of the Lie. 

All the phony actors in the world—all the players who are playing their roles—will eventually melt into thin air when the consciousness unmanifests. 

Then, the strutting and fretting will end. Another alternative, however, is available to end the strutting and fretting and allow the peace to happen even as the consciousness is manifested: realization. 

When realization happens, the play-acting ends; the player ends; the acting ends; the strutting and fretting end; and the ego-states melt into air, into thin air. It will happen. Why not take the steps that allow it to happen NOW? The only “benefits” that can ever manifest can only manifest . . . NOW. 

Ego is believing that there’s a vast multiplicity arranged in a hierarchy and that you’re the pinnacle; humility is knowing that you’re nothing, no-thing; love is knowing that You, with a capital ‘Y,’ Are everything. (That said, understand that ego, humility, and love are merely concepts, thorns that can be used to remove thorns.) 

Can you, from the mode of “As If Living” which follows “full realization,” feel and share Unconditional Love? Not only can you, but you will. In fact, once again, no choice will be involved. It will just happen . . . spontaneously and unequivocally. 

QUOTATION #16 

“The heavens themselves, the planets, and this centre observe degree, priority, and place. Insisture, course, proportion, season, form, office, and custom, in all line of order.” 

The Nisarga Yoga approach offers a direct route to the understanding that results in a natural way of AS IF living (that is, a natural way of functioning). That means living / functioning spontaneously for the remainder of the manifestation, knowing that the "world" is illusory but living as if any of "all this" matters. 

(Thus, employment can happen even without the assumption of an "employee" persona.) Natural living recognizes that the laws of nature have the right of "insisture": either 

(a) life is lived naturally according to the “customs” of the universe 

or 

(b) persons violating the natural “order” will collapse and self-destruct. 

[Note: In his later talks, Maharaj said the term "the realized" refers to those who have realized that their accumulated "learned ignorance" was all nonsense and who subsequently discarded all belief in what had been placed in their minds via ignorant and nonsensical programming, conditioning, etc. He used the term "persons" to refer to those who still believe in nonsense, including the nonsense that their false personas - their false, personal identifications - are real and actually define "who they are."]

The realized move through the relative existence in a manner that is fixed by nature even though they appear to be moving as they please. Rather than trying to exert any force, they accept that happenings happen. Among the realized, nature has “priority” over efforts to control or manipulate. 

The realized abide within the framework of the natural laws that have “insisture,” understanding that all is to happen per the natural order and understanding that all is to happen in “proportion.” Persons, on the other hand, seek to control and manipulate so they will not have to accept “proportion.” They work to accumulate and to have more and to appear to be greater than what is proportional. 

They imagine that they have an actual need for more than is proportional or necessary. The realized move along lines that are “customary” rather than along paths that are unnatural or supernatural. To think supernaturally is to think magically, and magical thinking is delusional. 

Either there is One, or there is duality and/or multiplicity. Either there is a prime cause and creation (and therefore a prime causer and creator) or there is neither creation nor destruction. 

Science has proved that there is neither creation nor destruction. All is energy / matter, and energy / matter can be neither created nor destroyed. Wherefore a causer or a creator in that reality? The cause of all is . . . all. 

Where is there any possibility of a creator (or a creator-sustainer-destroyer god) when That Which Is Has Always Been, when That cannot have been created, when That cannot be destroyed, and when all merely cycles . . . or not? 

Persons who are programmed to believe that their bodies-minds-personalities shall last "for infinity after death" do not pause to consider that, if infinity is a possibility in > that "direction" on their timelines, then it must also be a possibility in < that "direction" on their timelines. Infinite is infinite. 

Whatever has the ability to exist "forever after" also had to have the ability to exist "forever before." 

The realized can feel, but without attachment and without a chain of reactions that result from emotional intoxication. Feelings among the realized are merely witnessed as they rise and fall. Emotions, on the other hand, are "experienced" only by persons—meaning those believing in their false roles and assumed ego-states. 

As a result of their persona-generated emotions, they are continually in a state of emotional intoxication and are constantly reacting and over-reacting to what they take to be "personal experiences" that are driven by desires and/or fears. Contrary to some charges, the non-dual understanding does not result in the realized "living a robotic existence." 

It does result in the remainder of the manifestation happening in a fashion that is free of mental, emotional, and spiritual intoxication. 

The egotism that always accompanies the assumption of false identities never shows up more often than when you believe that you are in a "relationship." First, in a reality which is non-dual in nature, how can "one thing" possibly relate to "another thing"? ("Advaita" means, "one without a second" or "not two.") 

Next, consider the history of the expectations that you have traditionally brought to "your relationships": besides wanting a clone of self, you expect "partners" to conduct themselves in a fashion that you find "right" and "acceptable." 

And what you think is "right" and "acceptable" is generally based in what your parents taught you is "right" and "acceptable." Is there any greater degree of insanity than your expecting a "partner" to conform to the expectations of the very persons who taught you the majority of the lies and the nonsense that you believe?
