Maharaj’s advice to those who would be free of believing in false identifications and who would understand where one was in the days prior to manifestation and how persons come to be mistakenly identified with false identifications was to "go back," to "reverse," and to take the same “path” by which persons manifest except in the reverse manner in order to undo all of the ignorance and insanity which was passed down during the process.

So far in this series, seekers have been offered understandings regarding the ways that persons become "separated from Reality” by accepting a body as an identity and by accepting the false content of their human minds as truth. 

Also stored in the minds of humans are a host of false identifications variously referred to as “personal identities,” “personalities,” “personas,” “roles,” “characters,” “stage names,” “guises,” “facades,” “masks,” “fronts,” etc. 

The Advaitin Shakespeare said the following in regards to the kind of phony game-playing and acting which adult-age humans engage in all day, every day: 

“All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and [persons] in their time play many parts, their acts being 'seven ages'.” 

Shakespeare was only one of hundreds of thousands throughout the ages that have written plays or movie scripts or novels or songs or poems, etc. and noted how willingly humans are to be imposters and fakes. 

The second act of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” begins with the ensemble descending a grand staircase and singing a song which mocks humankind’s affinity for playing false, phony roles:

Moreover, few have spent as much time and energy making clear the toll taken when phony roles are played than those versed in the non-dual understanding. 

After body identification is rejected, and after beginning to reject belief systems, the next step is to look specifically at the conglomeration of false personality identifications stored in the mind which must also be rejected if freedom from ignorance is to come and if sanity is to be restored. 

Yet merely to suggest that persons should be free of the influence of personality / personalities or that they should simply stop being driven by the subconscious agendas of personalities which control and govern and affect and ultimately determine unconsciously every thought that is thought and every word that is spoken and every action that is taken of humans can be seen to have most assuredly not been enough. 

Again, if one does not understand the way that personality is never an “asset”; and if one does not understand that personality leads in every case to the manifestation of personality disorders and that personality disorders lead to neuroses and psychoses and insane thoughts and insane talk and insane behaviors; and if one does not understand exactly what the specific consequences are of each personality disorder, then why would one even consider (much less act upon) the sages' advice regarding personality or Maharaj’s advice regarding personality? 

Obviously, most have never heard and will never hear such advice, and based in Maharaj’s guesstimates, even those who do hear the advice have not acted upon it in any significant numbers. Here, therefore, more information about personality and its consequences is shared in order to provide facts about why personality must be discarded if realization (simply meaning “being freed form ignorance,” according to Maharaj) is to happen. 

THE THIRD DEGREE OF SEPARATION FROM REALITY: 

False Identifications with the Last to Go Being 

“The Super Religious One,” “The Spiritual Giant,”

F.: “I’ll mention before we begin that you might want to buckle your seatbelts. If this session is typical, we may be in for some turbulence. Ha. [Light laughter] Our ‘journey’ has reached the third stage. It is here that the broad highway narrows to a tapered path.” 

Q.: “And why is that?” 

F.: “Because a narrow, tapered path will handle the low volume of traffic from this point forward. Most will not move beyond the obstacles discussed in this session. The majority who quit abandon this seven-step journey at level three. Early on, my teacher guessed that one in ten thousand might make it to the ‘end’; later, he predicted one in a million. He was only guessing, but he might have been close.” 

Q.: “Not very good odds.” 

F.: “Indeed.” 

Q.: “Maybe we need better teachers.” [Laughter] 

F.: “Indeed.” 

Q.: “No fight? Ha.” 

F.: “None. The variable is not only the teacher. The readiness is key. Are you ready?” 

Q.: “Yes.” 

F.: “We’ll see.” [Laughs] Let’s move to the Third Degree of Separation from Reality: assuming roles, such as Religious Roles or Spiritual Roles, as actual identities. Note, please, that I speak of religious or spiritual roles as obstacles. Why are they obstacles? Two reasons: first, they are personas. They are just new personalities adopted to replace other roles or to 'co-exist' in a conditioned mind with other states-of-being this or being that. Secondly, religion and spirituality—by their very nature and by virtue of the manner in which they are practiced by most—foster duality. They are steeped in duality.” 

Q.: “I disagree completely. The ultimate message of both religion and spirituality deals with atonement and oneness and that can't do anything but help all mankind. How can a message of oneness be ‘steeped in duality’?” 

F.: “You speak in suppositions; I speak of actualities. You dream of a bountiful yield; I see the fruit already in store.” 

Q.: “None of that supports your claim that religion and spirituality foster duality.” 

F.: "In the earlier sessions, did you not see how the phenomenal existence of everyone in this room has been made miserable as a result of being trapped in your debilitating preoccupation with trying to earn the 'good’ label and avoid the ‘bad' label and earn a reward and avoid a punishment?” 

Q.: “Yes. That was clear. I got it.” 

F.: “I disagree. If you truly 'got it,' why would you defend roles that supports the 'good-bad' duality now? Why would you assume personalities that are preoccupied with the 'good-bad' duality's companions—‘reward and punishment’—and strive for some earthly 'reward' now and some 'ultimate reward' that you want to experience eternally? Only because of your faulty conditioning and wrong programming. How has living in that duality worked for you so far? And ‘who’ would experience the benefits now and the reward forever? Your body-mind-personality. The sources of so much mental anguish in this temporary existence—that body-mind-personality triad and that ‘good-bad-reward-punishment’ quartet—you have been invited to discard in order to see truth and to be at peace, now. Instead, you want to assume and defend two false identities that will perpetuate the effects of those dualities in this existence and then seek to extend them for eternity. And that's only a fraction of the duality that dominates these two false personalities.” 

Q.: [Pause. Begins to speak. Doesn’t.] 

F.: “Would being occupied with the material while claiming an occupation with the spiritual constitute dualism?” 

Q.: [Pause] “Go ahead.” 

F.: “Then look to the practice rather than the words. If we are speaking of ‘abandoning the material to deal with that beyond the material,’ are you going to suggest that the pious have abandoned the material? Or do they require a constant influx of the material to operate? Can creeds be practiced without material churches, temples, mosques, material accouterments, money, etc.? All of those material elements are required to sustain dogma and spread doctrine. That is material-spiritual duality, but only the beginning of the duality we'll see.” 

Q.: “I don’t do all that any more. I focus only on the words of Christ.” 

F.: “As you will. Then look to his history and see that it reinforces my point. He began in the temples, talking about the content of holy texts; later, he left organized religion and its temples, spoke on hillsides and in homes, and offered talks that were beyond the texts. He had been exposed to the Advaita Vedanta Teachings during his ‘lost years’ and tried to shift his audience away from traditional religion with its dualistic nature by offering the message of non-duality that I’m speaking of now.” 

Q.: “Christ had a non-dual message?” 

F.: “He said, ‘Before Abraham was, I AM’ and ‘When you speak of me, speak of me as I AM’ and ‘Heaven and earth shall fade away’ and ‘No one shall ever see heaven—it is within’ and ‘A dual-minded person is unstable in all ways.' That manifestation called ‘Christ’ tried to offer the Advaita Vedanta Teachings. But how many who assume the persona of his followers have a clue of the Advaita content?” 

Q.: [Pause] “Hummm. No one ever pointed it out to me. [Another pause] Alright, granted that organized faiths have to mix the material with the spiritual, but spiritualists have no churches or budgets. Why group the two together? You’re spiritual, aren’t you?” 

F.: “I am neither spiritual nor material.” 

Q.: “Are you a sage?” 

F.: “Ha! Do I sound like any of the authentic sages you’ve heard or read?” 

Q. : “Not really.” 

F. : “So, there you have it; however, my teacher was a sage. I'm but a voyager who listened to the words of a sage who knew of what he spoke. He spoke of That Which He Truly Is, and I read his words and first came to know all that I am not. And that facilitated my coming to know exactly That Which I Am, but the Vision was also required in addition to his words. Like the early explorers of the earth, I embarked on a journey following a sage’s directions, I have seen that which is at ‘the end’ (a sighting facilitated with the Vision), and I have returned to tell you of its wonders. Now I can guide you 'there' as well, should you be ready to follow the same path. There is no difference in you and me. The appearance of any difference is merely a result of the fact that What I Am … I know. What You Are, your questions and comments show me you do not know. So let’s continue with the journey. You used the word ‘spiritual.’ What do you take ‘spiritual’ to mean?” 

Q.: “Spiritual to me simply means abandoning the material to deal with that beyond the material.” 

F.: “Good enough. We’ll use your definition for our discussion, but let me ask first, ‘What might be the detriment of shifting one's focus to the spiritual and abandoning the material before having thoroughly examined all of the 'material'?” 

Q.: “I don't think there can be any detriment.”

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

REJECT INSTEAD OF ACCEPT 

Maharaj actually recommended a two-prong approach in order to end (1) the calamitous effects of having one’s thoughts and words and actions determined by the nonsense stored in the human mind and to eventually be free of (2) the nonsense-filled mind itself. 

First, being free of the calamitous effects of having one’s thoughts and words and actions determined by the nonsense stored in the human mind involves . . . 

seeing that concepts, ideas, notions, thoughts, perceptions, theories, views, etc. are all really just one thing, namely “beliefs”; 

seeing that all beliefs are stored in the mind; 

seeing that you are not the one who came up with what you now mistakenly take to be “your beliefs” and that they are actually “their beliefs,” the beliefs of others, the beliefs of those who programmed, conditioned, domesticated, acculturated, indoctrinated, and brainwashed you into accepting “their beliefs” as “your own” without having ever questioned at all what they taught you; and 

seeing that if you want to be wise and sane, you need not learn more and need not let anyone teach you more but, to the contrary, need to be un-taught and need to unlearn it all and then discard all that they taught you, realizing that you do not have a body of valuable knowledge stored in "your" mind but actually instead have a body of learned ignorance which was passed down by them. 

Next, to be totally free of the mind, one must also be rid of the mind. How can that state be reached? It’s simple: 

Upon seeing that you have no beliefs that you came up with on your own, and understanding that the beliefs which they passed down to you are just myth-and-superstition-and-ignorance-based concepts, ideas, notions, thoughts, perceptions, theories, views, etc., you can determine to purge the mind and reach a state of what Maharaj called “zero-concepts” and therefore abide as every living thing on earth abides - except for humans - under the auspices of the brain rather than under the auspices of a fiction-and-nonsense-filled-mind. 

So the key is this: 

The understanding requires no additional teaching and no additional learning. It requires questioning it all and it requires being led through an un-teaching process and it requires discarding all that has been learned and eventually un-learning it all. It requires rejection, not more accumulation. 

Therefore, consider Maharaj’s advice to reject rather than to blindly accept: 

Maharaj on rejecting external sources of “knowledge and beliefs” vs. tapping into the inner resource: 

 “I do not care what others claimed to know. What do you know?” 

Maharaj on rejecting blind faith and the content of so-called “holy books”: 

“I have no faith in anything which has ever been told, not even what has been told by the Vedas. Only my own experience.” 

Maharaj on rejecting spiritual searching: 

“Whatever you have tried to understand during your spiritual search will prove false” and "Just give up spirituality" and "Abide naturally" (meaning, not "supernaturally" / “spiritually” and not "unnaturally"). 

Maharaj on rejecting the intellect / the mind because it will guarantee instability: 

“People who depend on the intellect only always will be swinging like a pendulum.” 

Maharaj on rejecting all you have been told by parents and all you have been told that is based not in fact but in hearsay: 

"After the information given to you by the mother, that you are a boy or girl, all your further acquisitions are by hearsay" 

Maharaj on rejecting all that has been used along “the path” or on “the journey”: 

"Both the mantra and the faith in the mantra will get dissolved." 

Maharaj on rejecting the notion that there is something to gain now and something to gain later: 

"There is no progress" 

so 

Maharaj encouraged rejecting any and all credibility formerly given to concepts, ideas, notions, perceptions, taught knowledge (a.k.a., “learned ignorance”), thoughts, impressions, memories, theories, and views (all of which, when combined, form what is taken to be “your belief systems” which are not "your beliefs" at all but are merely “their beliefs” which have been accepted by you without question. 

Maharaj on rejecting all of the above: 

"Go to zero concepts." 

Maharaj on rejecting any notion that you can finally attain “peace of mind” . . . 

. . . if you just work hard enough and long enough or worship enough or study enough holy scriptures or Big Books or go to a church / temple / mosque / synagogue regularly or visit enough holy sites or go to enough retreats or listen to enough talks or visit enough holy men or read and accumulate enough books by “Big Name Teachers” or refuse to eat certain foods or wear special clothes or wear a special hairdo or have no hair at all or attend enough meetings or listen to enough speakers at speaker meetings or hang out with enough religious people or hang out with enough spiritual people or go into complete isolation and drop out and mentally dissociate. 

That's all nonsense. 

Peace begins when mental imprisonment ends.

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

"You come here because you are ignorant, not because you are knowledgeable. This knowledge I give is only to remove ignorance."

"Those who come here with the idea of getting knowledge, even spiritual knowledge, come here as individuals aspiring to get something; that is the real difficulty. The seeker must disappear. When you know Your Real Nature, the knowledge 'I Am' remains, but that knowledge is unlimited. It is not possible for you to acquire knowledge. You are knowledge. You are what you are seeking." 

"I am that knowledge 'I Am'." "You understand what I say but you are afraid that whatever so-called knowledge you have collected is being devalued." 

"You discover that there is nothing to discover." 

"How did I get to the truth that I prevail everlastingly? I understand what My True Nature is. Nobody had told me how to do it. I did not seek this knowledge externally. It sprouted within me." 

"There are two ways of receiving the knowledge 'I AM'. One way is you are taught the knowledge, you receive it externally. Another way is, the knowledge grows from inside, intuitively." 

"Some people come here for knowledge. I talk because the words naturally come out. There is no intention behind my talks that you should get knowledge."

“All of what is pursued by the mind, it is not true knowledge. True knowledge cannot be understood easily. If I had the experience 'I Am' before, would I care to enter the womb of my mother? Prior to entering the womb I did not know myself. There was no knowledge of 'I Amness'. " 

"The factual state of affairs is open, very clear, but nobody wants to look at it. This is the place where the intellect gets annihilated." 

"I do not follow the spirituality of the masses. In this place spirituality of the common type will not be doled out to you. You can never be lost; whatever you have lost, you have lost only the words. Through this 'I Am' comes the 'world knowledge'." 

"What I am expounding does not relate to worldly knowledge. You do not want to give up either 'worldly knowledge' or so-called 'spiritual knowledge', and yet, through these worldly concepts, you want to understand the riddle of your existence, and that is precisely why you are not able to understand." 

"You, with your ‘wisdom,’ are stuck here; you are sticking to certain concepts. If you had no concepts, why should you come here? You study only those concepts which arise from within you. Those concepts which you do not like will not occur to you." 

"All so-called knowledge is tainted by words, which is only ignorance." 

"You are very adept at word-games. While I am talking about knowledge that is beyond this phenomenal world, you are trying to understand through worldly concepts and words. Give up all these concepts and inquire into the nature of your beingness. How did you happen to be? Ponder it! The real blessing of the Guru comes when your knowledge itself sprouts inside you." 

"If you continue in the realm of intellect you will become entangled and lost in more and more concepts." 

"You have a lot of knowledge but it pertains to the practical world. I will not talk about the worldly knowledge." 

"You did not know your own existence after you were born. Nine months in the womb and for sometime afterwards that 'I am so and so' is absent. When you start recognizing your mother, then you also come to be aware of your own existence. That 'I Amness' comes sometime later.” 

“Mother teaches you, in ignorance, that you are the body and you begin to believe that. Your mind also starts slowly to develop. So right from the beginning, because of ignorance, the Absolute does not know itself; and because of the body, it started knowing that it is - 'I AM'." 

"I have no use for traditions or traditional knowledge. If you do the slightest research on tradition you will see that it is all a concept. I am concerned with only one fact. Here I was in my wholeness, not even aware of my awareness, then suddenly this consciousness sprang up. How did it come about? That is the question which needs investigating." 

"What you are doing is using your mind and intellect, but what I say is not based on the intellect, but rather on whatever comes up spontaneously in consciousness. "You are bent on having knowledge at the most mundane level, but whatever knowledge you collect is bound to disappear."

"When you come to the end of material world-knowledge, at that stage you transcend the observer and the observed. That means that you are in a true state of beingness. Thereafter you enter the state of transcending beingness, where the identities of the observer and observed disappear." 

"Personalities only exist in body consciousness. The usual knowledge is concerned only with the body image. You are not the body, you are the consciousness." 

"What I am expounding does not relate to worldly knowledge."

"Ultimately, one must go beyond knowledge . . . ."

"When you get this knowledge you will realize that knowledge of this world and [knowledge of] consciousness are not even worth your spit." 

"You have come here with the idea that you are full of knowledge." 

"You assume that you have knowledge. You have developed a pride that you have knowledge, so for testing yourself you have come here. Some others here have no pride that they are knowledgeable; you alone are claiming all the knowledge and pride." 

"Just as a person continues going to work every day because he wants to receive his wages, so you keep coming here because you want to gain knowledge." 

"Try to understand all this knowledge which you are now gathering. The so-called 'knowledge' you get elsewhere talks only about ignorance; it cannot talk about [authenticity]." 

"Once it is known what is temporary and what one's original state is, no further knowledge is needed." 

"Whatever you have placed before me as knowledge are all mistaken concepts." 

"During these talks you have gotten very angry; this is in the zone of mind modifications - it is not a reflection of your consciousness. The one who understands that anger is the message 'I Am'. All your spiritual studies are conducted with your identification with the body-mind." 

"When will I have no experience of this illness [that is, cancer]? Just as the sun sets, only when this consciousness sets will there be perfect health or no experience of this sickness. So long as the consciousness is there the sickness must be experienced. What is my pleasure or happiness? Nothing other than this knowledge 'I Am', this consciousness." 

Thus his earlier advice: 

"Go to zero concepts" 

and his pointers that 

"all my knowledge has gone into liquidation" 

and 

"I have no mind." 

Again, "Realization is nothing more than being free of all learned ignorance."

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

TO GO WITH THE CROWD WILL NEVER FREE ANYONE OF BODY AND MIND AND PERSONALITY IDENTIFICATION 

Persons (the "non-realized") are also willing to enter onto a "path" and then end up staying on it, and willing to begin a "journey" which never reaches the destination but continue on that "journey" anyway, and are willing to accept a treatment plan which they are told offers no cure for what ails them but normalize that and stay with that ineffective plan, anyway, for this additional reason as well: 

Because there are nine basic personality types and only one of those types (Type Four) can inspire non-conformity while the most prevalent type (Type Six) - along with several other types - inspires conformity, and that most prevalent type will influence persons in all cultures to reward conformity and to discourage and even punish non-conformity. 

Ninety-seven percent of the people on the planet claim to be "religious" while billions more claim to be "spiritual." That means that over 7.468 billion of the 7.6 billion persons on the planet are all marching to a similar beat; therefore, to follow a religious path or to undertake a spiritual journey or to enter into some sort of religious or spiritual program is to go with the grain, not against the grain . . . to go with the crowd rather than against the crowd. The grain is, and always has been, marked by ignorance and insanity, and so has the crowd . . . the mob. 

Yet it is that which is "conventional," which is "popular," and which is attractive to seekers that inspires them to run to those whom Maharaj warned seekers to stay away from, namely, "The Big Name Teachers." Why? Because if they are popular, they are offering a conventional message disguised in a cloak of "some really-deep profundities and philosophy." 

So of course attachment to "path" and "journeys" and "plans" has become the "norm" among the masses who have been programmed and conditioned to "be good," to "be better than you presently are," to "be better than you've been in the past," and to now claim to be "better than I was . . . in fact, much better." 

Thus most humans are conformists rather than finding their "own way" or finding an understanding which differs from being clung to by the masses. When "Maharaj the Maverick" truly reached that state, the result was that he could no longer be muzzled, could no longer be influenced by the popular religious teachings in his nation, could no longer be drawn in by "spirituality," could no longer play "spiritual roles," and could no longer march to the beat of the same drummer which the masses have always marched to. 

He could not hear the cadence being pounded out by that drummer of the masses. He was independent and courageous enough to share pointers which were not already being ascribed to, and approved by, the public at large and by the masses all around the globe. 

He also warned seekers about the effects of conditioning and why the mind must end by way of reaching a no-beliefs, zero concepts state. It's really easy for those who are awake, aware and conscious to empty the mind by abandoning all of the concepts, notions, ideas, (a.k.a., "beliefs) which have been taught and which now make up the mental mess of so-called "knowledge" (which Maharaj referred to as "learned ignorance"). 

There is likely no other way to be free of the effects of programming, conditioning, etc. than total rejection of all that has been taught and learned and accepted as truth. 

Regarding that subject, someone using the pseudonym of Bumpkin Wolfgang wrote: "I can’t tell you how to go beyond your conditioning, because to completely do so is probably impossible. Whether we identify with or rebel against our roots, those roots are what influenced our earliest conception of reality and will forever be a part of us." 

Again, the exception involves de-programming, not re-programming. If persons are in a program which is going about the business of re-programming its members, that program is only going to add to - rather than actually address - the already-extensive set of problems and disorders which its members had when they joined. 

To convince persons that "they have found" is to end their search prematurely. Yes, all seeking should eventually end, but it should not end because persons have been deluded into thinking that they have arrived at their destination when they are actually not even half way there. 

Additionally, de-conditioning the mind also involves rejecting everything that you have ever been taught. Why? Because that is what conditioned you to begin with. But Wolfgang is likely right, and Maharaj would have likely agreed, "guessimating" in the end that only 1 out of 10,000,000 will ever succeed at realizing, that is, at being freed from all learned ignorance. How might they differ though? 

Wolfgang claims that you will never be "done," that you must always be learning more. So much for de-accumulation. Maharaj suggested that you reject all you have learned and then stop trying to learn any more. 

Being free of all body and mind and personality identification can allow “The Seeker / The Super Seeker” to fade away and can allow spiritual workaholism to end and will then allow a natural, far-more-carefree abidance to begin. 

To review, he said, 

"All illness begins in the mind." 

"Your confusion is . . . in your mind." 

"Whatever is conceived by the mind must be false, for it is bound to be relative and limited." 

"Distrust your mind, and go beyond." 

"There is no chaos in the world except the chaos which your mind creates." 

 " . . . The mind obscures and distorts." 

"It is the mind that creates illusion." 

"There is no such thing as peace of mind. Mind means disturbance; restlessness itself is mind." 

"Don't rely on your mind for liberation. It is the mind that brought you into bondage. Go beyond it altogether." 

"Beyond the mind there is no suffering." 

So if the problem centers in the mind, and since a sick mind - obviously - cannot heal a sick mind, then what is the solution, per Maharaj? 

"Stop making use of your mind and see what happens." 

"Learn to separate yourself from the image and the mirror. Keep on remembering: I am neither the mind nor its ideas." 

"There is no such thing as mind. There are ideas . . . ." 

"Abandon the wrong ideas, for they are false and obstruct your vision . . . ." 

"The death of the mind is the birth of wisdom." 

"To know that you are a prisoner of your mind, that you live in an imaginary world of your own creation, is the dawn of wisdom." 

So what was his state in the end, the state which ultimately freed him and led to the birth of his wisdom? It was a no-mind state: 

"There is no such thing as a mind." 

"I have no mind . . . ." 

Want to be free of the mind? Maharaj advised: 

"Reach a state of zero-concepts." 

"As to my mind, I have no such thing. There is consciousness in which everything happens." 

"I am double dead: not only am I dead to my body, but to my mind, too." 

"I find I have lost the mind irretrievably." 

See? The message with Maharaj and the message here are the same in that Maharaj did not have a desire for anyone to believe what he believed because - in the end - he reached what he called a "zero concepts state" and believed nothing. Same here. 

How could I want anyone to believe what I believe when I believe nothing? It would be like saying, "Everyone should have what I have: a nice, full-developed, cute and lovely little womb." How crazy would that be to claim "everyone should have a womb just like mine" when I have no womb at all? The same applies to beliefs. 

Moreover, how crazy is it to believe anything because the masses believe it? The answer: totally. 

Remember the woman in St. Louis who ended all talk when I revealed that I am neither a believer in God nor an atheist who does not believe in God. She said, "Floyd, millions of people cannot be wrong about their belief in God." 

The reply: "I agree. Millions have not been wrong about their belief in God. In fact, it is trillions and trillions who have been wrong about their belief in God." 

Believing something because it is believed by the masses who are being suffering by what Maharaj identified as "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity" would be . . . well, ignorant and stupid and insane. 

All believing in "this" but not believing in "that" is dualistic. Here, the closest way that the truth can be pointed to would be to use the term "No-Belief-er." 

More to the point for "seekers" is this: If the mind goes, then peace comes, and if peace comes, then going and doing and zooming and racing about and being attached to never-ending paths and journeys and plans will also go. 

Radical? Yes. Impossible? No. 

The masses stick to their conventional thoughts and conventional words and conventional behaviors and feel quite comfortable with that - so they think; yet being followers and living in a sheep-like fashion and being obedient to all authority figures will rob persons of their freedom, and who that is not free can possibly be comfortable? 

Maharaj was a rebel, an insurgent, a mutineer, a revolutionary, a radical, and a dissenter. So what is calling to be rebelled against? All of the content of the mind which has not yet been questioned and which has been accepted as truth based on blind faith only. 

Maharaj: "Rebel against your slavery to your mind. See your bonds as self-created and break the chains of attachment and revulsion." Consider: 

Questioner: "I can see the mechanism of my confusion, but I do not see my way out of it." 

Maharaj: "The very examination of the mechanism shows the way. After all, your confusion is only in your mind, which never rebelled so far against confusion and never got to grips with it." 

He suggested: "Why don’t you create your own environment? The world has only as much power over you as you give it. Rebel. Go beyond duality; make no difference between east and west." 

The breakfast of "The Champions of Duality" includes a big bowl of "all-goodness-and-no-badness" mush with a big scoop of "better than" stirred into the mix and with a big ole heapin', stinkin' side dish of conformity. 

As with Goldilocks and all perfectionists, "The Endless Seekers" and "The Super Seekers" are seeking a perfect blend which will render them . . . "just right." 

And when that is the agenda, then of course there's going to be a willingness to stay on a "path" that they believe will maintain a supposedly "better" condition, and a willingness to stick with a "journey" to the end, and a willingness to stay with a totally ineffective treatment plan for what ails persons. 

Even more common than that agenda, however, is the attraction to being able to believe, “I’m not perfect. I’m only human. I sin very day. I’ll hurt people. I’ll cause pain. But thank goodness I have found a god who will also forgive me and let me restart time and time again with a clean slate, no matter how many times I have to call on him.” 

Thousands of years ago, people in what is now called “Greece” were getting their slates wiped clean by Zeus, no matter what they had done; a little later, in what was called “the Roman Empire,” people were getting their slates wiped clean by Jupiter, no matter what they had done; 

nowadays Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe that “The One God of Abraham” is doing that regular house-cleaning / slate cleaning for them and regularly returning them to a state of perfection and purity and spotlessness and “goodness.” 

Quite a deal, huh?

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns. 

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
