Today's Considerations

To review:

The mind and personalities are conjoined twins, bringing unspeakable relative horrors when twins are conjoined or when a mind exists and is conjoined with personality identifications.

Conjoined twins are identical twins joined in utero. Approximately half are stillborn, and a smaller fraction of pairs born alive have abnormalities incompatible with life. In the U.S., approximately 4.5% of all children will have fairly serious defects; more common are an assortment of sometimes-less-severe or even minor defects. Most bodies arrive in fairly normal condition, but that is only about the body.

The greater defects will be added as hearsay is shared and minds begin to form. The resulting defect – or Ultimate sickness – begins to take hold as a result of environmental influences and parental influences and cultural influences all join forces to warp the minds of offspring and to begin filling those minds with an assortment of assigned, false personal identities.

As a result, all persons will eventually suffer from the Sickness which is as debilitating as being conjoined with a twin for that is the case.

Also yesterday, this were offered for consideration:

Maharaj: “I have no identity (Identity) at all.” And that worked just fine then and it will work just fine now.

As was the same case with Maharaj, “teaching” of one sort or another has gone on here for forty-seven years. Also as with Maharaj, that included at times the teaching of dogma and at other times the teaching of spiritual principles. Also, having also been certified to teach psychology in all 50 of the U.S. states, that has happened to some degree but - just as was the case with Maharaj - the focus on the psychological roots of the Ultimate Sickness and humankind’s craziness has been an ever-increasing focal point since 1989.

It was understood long ago that, when sharing pointers, one statement could be made but that an entirely different statement could seemingly be heard by seekers. Statements reached their ears, would be transmitted to their brains, and would then be totally altered by the mind part of their brains. Often there was a fine line between points offered vs. what was supposedly “understood”; in other instances - even more often - the post-mind-churning process resulted in a statement being turned around 180-degrees from what was said and intended.

So when Maharaj said, “I have no identity at all,” some took that to mean he assumed no personal, relative identities but figured that he had most assuredly assumed “The Identity of The Supreme Self.” To remove that notion, he would later say that he had also “lost all interest in ‘the Self’.” Yet none of that suggested that he ignored "reality" and supposedly escaped from "reality" and into "Reality." While he noted that the world as misperceived by the masses existed only in the minds of persons, he never claimed that events in his relative existence were not really happening.

As has been shared here many times over a span of many years, the summative statement of non-duality is “I AM THAT; I AM.” It is not just “I AM THAT.” The relative existence is for now. The IS-ness is for now. The AM-ness is for now. To deny that fact would have to involve ignorance at best and full-blown insanity at the more extreme point on the sanity / insanity continuum.

Did “I have no identity at all” imply that Maharaj was suffering from a series of personality disorders including the Dissociative Personality Disorder (P.D.), the Detachment P.D., the Obsessive-Compulsive P.D., and / or levels of psychoses which robbed him of the ability to witness and understand and feel feelings regarding events happening in the relative existence? Of course not.

One site by a supposedly Realized person offers the message that “Nothing is real.” Here, the invitation to that person would be . . .

“In that case, please come with me to the brick wall on the far side of the house here. Now, step off fifteen steps away from the wall. Next, bend your back and lower your head so that your back is parallel with the ground and so that you are looking directly at the ground with the top of your head aimed at the brick wall. Now, begin running as fast as you can, building up as much speed as possible before your head strikes the wall so hard that you are tossed backwards and land unconscious on the ground. When you come to, I shall check back in and ask, ‘So is that brick wall real . . . or not'?”

The non-dual point about real vs. unreal is not about “relative realities” vs. “Reality.” It is about a clear perspective vs. a distorted perspective. Look at the brick under an electron microscope and you will see a swirling mass of subatomic particles. They look nothing like the appearance of the brick when perceived with the naked eye. The appearance is not real, but that energy / matter at the core of the brick is quite real.

Among those who miss the actual intent of pointers, the disconnect leads to mental and emotional entrapment, allowing them to behave in ways that are based in ignorance and insanity and in personality disorders, even as they believe that their understanding and behavior is liberating them. They miss the whole deal, namely, that the process as offered by Maharaj at the end - and the process being offered here now – involves (according to him) “going back” or “reversing to the source in the opposite of the way you came in" in order to understand the way that the cycling of consciousness into manifestation and the cycling of consciousness out of manifestation actually happens.

Then, one can realize – as Maharaj recommended – all that one is not and can eventually be restored to sanity and can be freed from all of the ignorant and insane effects of ignorant and insane programming, conditioning, etc. For far too many who claim to be “Fully Realized“ and who claim to be “The Supreme Self” or even “God,” they have moved out of the frying pan and into the fire, so to speak.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN (A) PREOCCUPATION ONLY WITH “THE SUPREME SELF” AND WITH “THAT” VS. (B) DISSOCIATION, DETACHMENT DISORDERS, DENIAL, PUTTING A “SPIN” OR “TWIST ON RELATIVE EVENTS, BEING TRAPPED IN OCD, AND EVENTUALLY "DROPPING OUT" AND MOVING MENTALLY INTO FOO FOO LAND

DISSOCIATION

In psychology, the term "dissociation" describes a wide array of experiences from (1) mild detachment from immediate surroundings to (2) more severe detachment from physical and emotional experiences. The major characteristic of all dissociative phenomena involves a detachment from reality, rather than a loss of reality (as in psychosis). Dissociative experiences are further characterized by a variety of maladaptive mental constructions rooted in an individual's imagination.

Levels of dissociation can be charted along a continuum. In mild cases, dissociation can be regarded as a coping mechanism or a defense mechanism in seeking to master, minimize or tolerate stress or boredom or conflict. Toward the more pathological end of the continuum, dissociation can describe common events such as daydreaming while driving a vehicle, but further along the continuum, there can be so-called “altered states of consciousness” which are highly touted among some Eastern seekers or Westerners who would be like Eastern seekers. The more accurate term in such cases would be "warped or blocked states of consciousness and unconsciousness."

Dissociative disorders are sometimes triggered by trauma but may be preceded by stress, by the use and abuse of psychoactive substances, by no identifiable trigger at all, or by trying to follow a “path” to “Realization” which has subsequently gone horribly awry (often as a result of the nonsense heard and accepted as presented by those whom Maharaj warned seekers to stay away from, namely, those he referred to as “Big Name Teachers.” Why? Because they are “popular,” and since persons who make up the populous are almost all trapped in the Ultimate Sickness, then the fact that those teachers are being followed and endorsed by the masses who are trapped in ignorance and insanity is hardly a viable endorsement.)

More pathological dissociation involves dissociative disorders, including a depersonalization disorder with or without alterations in personal identity or sense of self (which is not about denying that false identities should be discarded but rather involves giving any validity to valid elements of the AM-ness, to valid elements of the present relative existence). These alterations can include: a sense that self or the world is unreal; forgetting identity or assuming a new self (fugue) or a New Supreme Self; and fragmentation of identity or self into separate streams of consciousness which produces suffering as a result of developing multiple personality disorders or accepting "a good or great identity" to replace "not-as-good or even bad identities."

Again, the psychological understanding of this mental phenomenon does not preempt the discarding of all false identities and false selves.

When such misperceptions and distortions manifest, not as what is taken to be “the understanding” but which manifest as a result of being driven by non-neurotypical thinking because of misunderstanding, then whatever “benefit” one might think he or she has attained will prove to be a major liability in terms of transitioning throughout the remainder of the manifestation of consciousness and the remainder of the relative existence.

[Not that the Neurotypical Syndrome is to be “preferred” either, for it, too, is a serious mental disorder affecting many nowadays. Symptoms include inflated ego, mob formation, and a readiness and willingness to follow unquestioningly the suggestions which come from those trapped in the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which Maharaj identified as “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity.”]

DETACHMENT DISORDER

Various indicators of the presence of this disorder can include withdrawal; fear; sadness; or irritability that is not readily explained; a style of abidance marked by listnessness; showing no response if comfort is offered; a failure to smile; being totally self-absorbed and antisocial; or refusing to engage in social interactions. The other tools used with this disorder: denial of facts; and denial “reality”; a preoccupation with “Reality only”; and distorting or escaping truth and reality by putting a “spin” or “twist" on all relative events.

The attitude of persons functioning / dysfunctioning in that way: “Come! Join me! Okay, actually, don’t join me, but if you want what I have, then you must model what I am doing”:

OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE PERSONALITY DISORDER

The Obsessive–Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCD) is another mental disorder which characterizes the psyche of those obsessing over their religiosity or their spirituality or the "Self." "Obsessions" are thoughts which recur and persist despite efforts to ignore or confront them. Eventually, after persons obsess long enough, they will be driven to act out compulsively. Most compulsive behaviors are rooted in the subconscious agenda of assumed identities, are driven by the fears and desires of personalities which always eventually leave persons on the defensive, and which can - in turn - drive such types into an offensive mode or into deep levels of psychosis.

How many seekers have spent decades in their seeking; on a “path”; wrapped up in their “journey”; absorbed in their “recovery process”; developing new dependencies on persons or groups; and being proud of being different from as a result of having found their “Supreme Self” or becoming “God”? Those are all indicators of the presence of OCD.

And how many in Mumbai who are like them are going a daily basis into a room which contains a small quantity of the ashes of “Maharaj,” scooped up by a sufferer of spiritual OCD? It is in that room where other OCD types gather daily to bow and to chant in the presence of those ash elements. Were he present and able, Maharaj would kick them out of that room and toss the ashes into the river. OCD out the wazoo.

In light of all that, what is endorsed here? This: living in a totally Nisargan (all-natural) mode, a mode which is unadulterated by programming, which is untainted by conditioning, which has not been warped by way of acculturation, which is no longer touched by the effects of domestication, which has not been modified by indoctrination, and which has not been contaminated by brainwashing.

In short, it is the same mode of abidance which is adhered by every living thing on the planet except for modern-day humans. The reason for that difference? Only modern humans are trying to navigate through the relative existence on a daily basis with the disadvantage of the major handicap called “the mind” which now hampers and impedes and hamstrings persons from behaving in a free and natural and normal manner;

instead, in such cases, the mind leaves them in a state of being impaired by a near-countless array of impediments and hindrances and obstacles and barriers and obstructions and constraints and blockages (which is exactly what is always generated by the nonsensical beliefs which have been accumulated in the minds of the masses).

To be continued.

Please enter the silence of contemplation.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
