TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

Yesterday:

In this series, postings will include both (1) subtle examples of non-dual messages which are appearing in a variety of formats and public forums as well as (2) the current preponderance of in-your-face duality-based talk as well.

Consider the spectrum of non-dual messages regarding the Oneness offered over the last 2000 years from a variety of sources:

Jesus: "Cleave a piece of wood and I am there; lift up the stone and you will find Me there."

Shakespeare: “One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.”

Maharaj: "Learn to distinguish the immovable in the movable, the unchanging in the changing, till you realize that all differences are in appearance only and oneness is a fact."

John Lennon: “I am he, as you are he, as you are me . . . . "

Of the seeker that comes to understand the non-dual truth, Maharaj said: "Love and compassion are his very nature. He is one with all that lives, and love is that oneness in action."

By contrast, consider what a present-day politician is sharing on a national and international stage about "racial differences" and how the members of one race are superior because he considers them different from and better than those of other races:

1. Regarding Mexicans: "They're rapists"

and

2. "Some of them are drug dealers and some are gang members and some are rapists and some are killers."

Also consider these duality-based concepts based in a belief in racial superiority:

3. "Intellect and success are purely genetic qualities"

and

4. "Having 'the right genes' gave me a very good brain"

and

5. “You have to be born lucky in the sense that you have to have the right genes.”

Note again that while some may deliver non-dual pointers in a direct fashion, they are oftentimes subtle in their natural (as, “I am he, as you are he, as you are me . . . . "); by contrast, statements rooted in duality are almost always "in your face" blatant and flagrant (as, "Almost all of them are rapists" or "Intellect and success are purely genetic qualities," implying, "If your genes didn't come from the same superior-race gene pool as mine, don't even think about being 'a success'").

As for the many venues and forums in which non-dual messages are being shared in often-subtle ways, consider the following offered in the book QUOTATIONS AND POINTERS dealing with Non-Duality, Advaita, Nisarga Yoga and more":

In this book, miscellaneous non-duality quotations and pointers are shared from a variety of sources including Plato, St. Francis of Assisi, Desiderius Erasmus, Albert Einstein, George Bernard Shaw, Richard E. Lingenfelter, Robert Burton, Daniel H. Boorstin, Gary Zukav, E. Bayda

as well as from Mark Twain, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, Brad Thor, Mohandas "Mahatma" Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Immanuel Kant, Bruce Lipton, Clive Cussler, Ivan Petrovich Pavlov, Lewis Thomas, Max Planck, Heinrich Hertz, and others;

and from the non-fiction writings of Ralph Klein, Barbara McClintock, Erwin Schrodinger, Fritjof Capra, Niels Bohr, David Bohm, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Marvin Kaye, S.H. Sharp, Paul Krassner, Ken Kesey, Russell Brand, G.I. Gurdjieff, a variety of examples of the non-duality message contained in the body of Native America wisdom, and non-duality pointers from "ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS" (a.k.a., "the A.A. Big Book");

as well examples of the non-duality message that have appeared in the fictional works of Jack Kerouac, Michael Connelly, Mary Shelley, Victor Hugo, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Robert Lewis Stevenson, Abraham "Bram" Stoker and others;

and

from musicians and poets as well as from films with a list of over thirty movies that are based in non-duality, including The Matrix (Part One), The 13th Floor, Inception, The Truman Show, Dark City, Existenz, Avatar, etc.

So why begin this series with some of the non-dual pointers offered by Jesus (beyond any chronological consideration)?

Because

1. he was one of the three men - Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad - who have been considered to be "prophets" by those involved with the three Abrahamic religions (who make up 60% of the people on the planet and who make up 86% of the 97% who claim a religious affiliation);

and because

2. he was the only one of the three so-called "prophets of the three Abrahamic religions" who left organized religion and began sharing non-dual pointers (at least during the last few years of his manifestation and maybe longer);

and because

3. 1 out of every 3 people on the planet self-identifies as "A Christian / Christ-Follower";

and because

4. that fact makes his name the most recognizable of any person in history - past or present - who has ever shared non-dual pointers;

even though

5. most among his 2.4 billion, self-proclaimed "Followers" haven't a clue what he was talking about when he shared his Advaita-based messages.

With all that considered, it makes sense to share on a non-dual site the non-dual pointers he offered and possibly

(a) clarify for some of his followers what he was actually talking about in the final years of his manifestation

or to

(b) provide additional clarity for non-dual seekers by discussing the non-dual pointers he offered, just as many share non-dual pointers from Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj or Sri Ramana Maharshi or any other gurus or swamis, all of whose names will never be as recognizable as that of one being called "Jesus" or "Jesus Christ" or "Jesus the Christ" nowadays (though his actual name was "Yeshu'a" or Y’shua (pronounced "Yeh shoo wah").

[Yet its doubtful that any Christian has ever sung:

"Yeshu'a, Yeshu'a, Yeshu'a . . .
Sweetest name I know!"]

Consider the shift that would occur all around the globe were 2.4 billion people who have all been fooled by the same lie and who were attached to the same misunderstanding were to see the foolishness and the lie.

Consider the shift that would occur all around the globe were 2.4 billion "Christ-Followers" to understand what he was really talking about during his final years and truly understand and "follow" his non-dual suggestions.

Any chance of that happening? Heavens no and hell no.

But what if even a few at a time who come here were to begin waking up? And what if a few at time were to cross paths with the few other "teachers" who are pointing toward the truth of what Jesus was really talking about? And what if a few hundred more were to enter Rev. Jim Rigby's church and hear him expose the non-truth about Jesus and "God" and then point them toward the truth of non-duality and the Oneness and Love?

See, there are a few more pockets of sanity which are springing up, pockets where a few ministers and a few "non-dual teachers" are sharing the non-dual message of Jesus. And there are (as was the case with Maharaj and as has been the case Andy Gugar, Jr. and as has been the case here) where some seekers who were originally caught up in insane, dogma-based beliefs have found freedom and moved on beyond Step Three on the "Path," that being the step where religious and spiritual roles are played.

While most treat the religious and / or spiritual step as the Third and Final Stop rather than as the Third and Far-From-Final Step, there are some seekers nowadays that are moving on and reaching at least the Fourth Step (which Maharaj said would be enough); and a few are moving along and understanding the entire Seven Step "Journey" (as discussed in detail in the seven-hour retreat video below).

The unknown years of Jesus (also called his silent years, lost years, or missing years) generally cover the ages of 12 to 30. What was going on?

He was possibly working as a carpenter in Galilee,

and

he may have studied with the Essenes in the Judea desert.

Non-dualist might call those his "seeking years"

or his

Forest Dweller / Hermit Stage (when he may have been a recluse or teaching as a recluse)

and / or his

Wandering Monk / Renunciant Stage (during which he also might have had less contact with people) and when he possibly visited Kashmir or India or other areas in the Far East with an uncle who ran a caravan between the Mid East and the Far East.

Whatever the case, he was certainly exposed to the non-dual message along the way during those "lost years," that is, when there were no records left regarding his whereabouts or his "doings."

One self-proclaimed religious expert said, "The teachings of Jesus and the Eastern religions are contradictory and not compatible."

Does that refer to what Jesus supposedly taught at the Jewish Temple during his pre-teen years when he supposedly regurgitated what he had been taught? Then the statement might have some factual basis.

Or, does it refer to what Jesus shared when he showed up in Jerusalem in his early 30's? If so, then the statement has no factual basis at all.

As was the case with Maharaj, one must ask, "At what stage of Maharaj's teachings are you claiming you know what the content of his sharings involved?"

Early on when he was using Hindu rituals and sharing Hindu pointers in order to attract people from his locale into the loft where he could "sneak in" some non-dual pointers?

Or later when he catered to the desire of Westerners who wanted to become Spiritual Giants?

Or even later on when he abandoned dogma-and-spirituality-based talks after his focus shifted to the mental / psychological characteristics of the Ultimate Sickness?

The same three phases or stages happened with "floyd." Be it Jesus, Maharaj, or here, all showed an "evolution" in messaging: all were exposed to organized religion early on and all shared the learned religious dogma to one degree or another; but all three eventually left organized religion and stopped sharing any pointers rooted in religious dogma.

Also, all three would eventually make clear that all personality identifications should be eliminated.

So tomorrow, we'll look together at some of the non-dual pointers offered by Yeshu'a / Jesus which most of his so-called "followers" do not understand at all.

To be continued.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
