THE MASSES PREFER DEPENDENCY AND CODEPENDENCY AND ATTACHMENT TO THINGS WHICH ROB PERSONS OF THEIR FREEDOM
Another key reason that the masses – that is, almost all persons – will never be free is because of this:
The masses believe in several existential concepts as “individual / personal existence,” “freedom,” and “ability to choice.” All of those are all based in delusion.
Once programmed, conditioned, etc., there is no longer even a remote ability to make conscious choices. All thoughts and words and actions are determined by subconscious forces; hence, conscious “choosing” is an impossibility.
And when persons have no choice, they are enslaved, and enslaved persons have not an iota of freedom.
The masses believe that humans can find - or define - some "meaning in life" and can make rational decisions despite existing in an irrational universe.
Yet they cannot answer a simple question, namely, “Why?”
Why do you think what you think?
Maharaj came to understand that it’s all rooted in psychology-based understandings (or, more often, misunderstandings). Most do not understand even the most basic psychological factors which are subconsciously driving them, much less the specific psychological factors which determine what they think and say and do.
Too, most do not understand that thoughts lead unconsciously to the words they speak, Moreover, most do not understand that the words which they speak unconsciously determine the actions they take.
Most do not understand WHY they think what they think, WHY they say what they say, and WHY they do what they do.
In 1965 as a college freshman, I walked into Dr. Lagaipa’s classroom where he taught a variety of psychology courses to 1st-year students, to sophomores, to juniors, to seniors, and to graduate students working on a master’s degree or on a doctor’s degree.
As to the driving forces at play which determine human thoughts and words and actions, I was clueless then as the masses are today. Oh sure, I knew long before the age of eighteen when I first met Dr. Lagaipa that humankind was one baffling and seemingly insane mass of people.
I had no clue that first day in Lagaipa's that humans' thoughts and words and actions could be easily explained once (A) the functioning / dysfunctional workings of the mind were understood along with (B) the roles which dysfunctional programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination play.
Within a month, I understood many of the roots of the insane things which my parents has done; I understood what drove the masses to behave as sheep and to follow their leaders over the edge of all sorts of cliffs dealing with economics, wars, prejudices, anger, assaults, killings, etc., etc., etc. REALIZING, then and now, is an amazing happening!
By the end of that course, I had spoken with my college advisor and told him that I wanted to earn a minor in psyche ed. I would eventually be certified to teach 100-level and 200-level courses in any college in any of the fifty states in the U.S.
As was the case with Maharaj in his later years, I too came to understand that the ignorant and insane thoughts and words and actions of humans were rooted not in having too little dogma and not in some dreamed up “spiritual malady” but were rooted in the psyche . . . in mental sicknesses . . . in the distorted and delusion-filled human mind.
By the time I earned a B.A. degree and an M.A. degree, I was able to answer the key question which baffles almost all humans, namely, WHY? WHY do persons think what they think; WHY so they say what they say, and WHY do they do what they do. Most do not have even the slightest clue about what is driving them and what is driving their fellow humans.
If persons do not understand WHY they do the self-defeating, self-destructive, self-sabotaging, self-torturing things they do, then how can they ever avoid repeating those things throughout their entire relative existence?
Since the early 70’s, I have worked with thousands of persons who have completed a personality inventory and then spent the time to follow-up with a thorough analysis of the results. During the process, we look at the patterns of behaviors which have been repeated.
Many on a third marriage see that, actually, they only married one person / one persona, not three. Some saw that each of the three just happened to have a different name. Beyond the different names, they were mirror images of each other. In many cases, some came to see that their spouses were also mirror images of their mother or father as well, even in cases where one of both of those parents were not present “physically” or “emotionally.”
Those who moved on to freedom were the ones who said something along the line of, “Holyyyy sh*t!!! I never saw that my pattern at all!!!!”
I explained to many that when I was a child, I usually received one not-especially expensive gift. I remember a gift one year which became one of my favorite toys.
It was a car with a wing-up spring inside. I could wind it to maximum capacity, set the car down, and it would race across the floor until it hit a wall or some other stationary object. At that point, it would back up a foot and swing its rear end around, turning ninety-degrees in order to face to the right, and would then race off until it crashed against the next immovable object in its path.
After the inventories and our discussions, many seekers who heard about that car realized that it was a metaphor for the way that they had lived their entire lives for 35 or 45 years or more.
The car did not know a damn thing about WHY it did what it did. It was made that way, programmed to behave that way. The same applies to persons who race through life, crashing against one thing or person or institution or one immovable force or another, time and time again.
For a young boy, watching that car was entertaining, but watching people behave the same way was not.
The car had no way of knowing WHY it did what it did. Similarly, most people do not, either.
Yet both will usually keep doing what they were “designed” / programmed to do until they completely wear down. For most persons, that point is never reached.
They crash and burn and temporarily wind down. Then, they spend a brief, inactive time, after which they once again wind themselves up and head out for their next crash.
Yet it is possible to realize if one sits down with one who does understand and can explain the factors at play.
Until persons find the answers to all of the currently unasked and unanswered WHY’s involved with their relative existence, past and present, they cannot and will not ever be free.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
