An Advaita forum focusing on Realisation, enlightenment, non-duality, Real Love, peace, freedom, Your original nature, abiding naturally, the Oneness, the Nothingness, and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.

As for Maharaj, you will find here some of his early pointers for beginners but some of his later pointers that are for seekers father along the "path." During his last years, he said of I AM THAT: "That book and whatever was expounded at that time was only relevant for that period. I am speaking differently today" and am "emphasizing different aspects." What he offered later differed considerably from his earlier talks, making clear that the pointers in I AM THAT will take you to the midpoint of "the race" but that his final talks point the way to "the finish line."

F.: Those who have read Jesus Christ the Advaitin know that Christ early on shared the Jewish teachings in the Jewish temple, parroting what he was programmed and conditioned to parrot.

But those readers also know that during his "Missing Years" - those eighteen years when nothing at all is mentioned about him in what Christians take to be their "holy scriptures" - he studied with the Gnostics in the desert;

he traveled to the Far East with a relative who operated a caravan along the trade route between the Middle East and the Far East; and that he was obviously exposed to non-duality teachings because he shared Advaita pointers during his last years in Jerusalem.

Yesterday, billions of persons around the globe celebrated the myth that he resurrected, not understanding at all the functioning of the totality or what happens to the three parts of the composite unity when mahasamadhi is taken.

They celebrated yesterday their belief that he is waiting for them in heaven though he said quite clearly that "heaven and earth shall fade away" and that "no one will ever see heaven - it is within."

Millions upon millions of Catholics celebrated their erroneous beliefs yesterday, ignoring the words of their previous pope who told them that "there is no geographic heaven or hell," that both are merely "mental states," and that all persons are either in one or the other mental state, now.

Too, the billions who claim to be followers of the one they call "The Christ" have no clue at all about what he meant when he said that one must be as a child to come to him (that is, to come to know peace and joy).

And many Advaitins today do not understand the connection between that pointer from Christ and Maharaj's words that "it is all so simple."

Who that has been trapped in the seeking stage for dozens and even scores of years would agree that finding that which they seek really is simple? All persons are seeking, but few truly find (in spite of their claims to the contrary).

Others come here and readily admit that they are "frustrated as hell" about the fact that they have expended so much time and energy - following one arduous path after another - and "still don't have it." They do not see how simple it would be to find that which they seek if only they could identify what they are truly seeking and differentiate that from what they have been programmed and conditioned to seek.

The 97% on the planet who claim to be affiliated with one organized religion or another have been programmed and conditioned to seek "life eternal" and "eternal reward" and "eternal bliss" and (in terms they could never understand) "a blissful continuity of body and mind and personality / personalities."

If they understood the scientific facts surrounding the ultimate fate of the composite unity - that the elements will return to the universal pool of elements, that the air being breathed will return to the universal pool of air, and that the manifested consciousness will return to the universal pool of conscious energy - then they could focus on that which they seek which can only be found NOW:

specifically, happiness (and happiness that can be enjoyed without the constant fluctuations and chaos that typically mark the relative existence).

For that "finding" to happen, it would all be so simple if they but understood how to be as a child.

Please enter the silence of contemplation. (To be continued)
