TODAY’S CONSIDERATIONS

The disorders grouped into what is called “The Dark Triad” offer examples of three of the most adverse ways by which personality (and the disorders which always accompany them) impact the relative existence. Granted, there are many disorders which have been addressed here with seekers and there are many examples of persons (1) becoming aware of the personalities / personas / roles which have been driving their thoughts and words and actions and subsequently (2) being freed from those influences.

In the case of those with “The Dark Triad” disorders, however, little or no change or freedom has come. Narcissists will usually remain narcissists. As for sociopaths and psychopaths, this was offered by one who is versed in the field to explain why they will likely never be freed from being driven by the agendas of their disorders:

"There are structural abnormalities in the brains of psychopaths (and the same have been found in the brains of many sociopaths), so treatment methods are often ineffective. Some studies have obtained far from optimistic results, ranging from little improvement in psychopathy with treatment to treatment seeming to exacerbate psychopathic behavior."

For those who hope that the sociopaths or psychopaths in their lives might eventually change, consider that fact: even if they seek treatment, which they are never likely to do, oftern the treatment makes their disorder worse because they become enraged by any suggestion that they have certain flaws which need to be addressed.

Because of that fact, the case here is that decades have been spent working with those who would be free of the effects of other personality disorders, but no time is wasted on those displaying the Sociopathic Personality Disorder or the Psychopathic Personality Disorder. (Narcissists are given a chance, but usually they will be sent on their way promptly if they make clear that they, too, are going to be resistant to truth.)

In the case of other disorders, some of which also generate serious relative consequences, there is often a chance that change can come. In the case of all who are lost in their body identification and mind identification and personality identifications, change has been seen if the willingness and the readiness are both present. In such cases, the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness (which Maharaj identified as “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity”) can be addressed, sometimes via the non-dual understanding but in other cases through treatment by qualified professionals.

Presently in the U.S. and in far too many other places around the globe, the case if that those symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness are now actually being lauded.

For example, a man who will be one of the two major party candidates running for the office of the President of the United States this year - when a poll revealed that his supporters are often among the the less educated - said: “I love the poorly educated!” Wonder why?

Linguists, researchers, and journalists have used an algorithm known as the Flesch-Kincaid Readability Test which analyses a speaker's word choice, sentence structure, etc. and then calculates a grade-level ranking. The test measures the complexity or simplicity of a speaker's diction and syntax and then determines the level of education which is the equivalent of that level vocabulary, sentence structure, etc. The test revealed that the candidate speaks at a 4th grade level, indicating that his communication skills are same as a child with only a fourth grade education.

The greatest problem facing humanity is this: the Ultimate Sickness is spreading and becoming more prevalent, and there are those who – rather than trying to be free of the symptoms such as ignorance – are instead ennobling ignorance.

In August of 2008, Candidate Barack Obama addressed the core issue with certain politicians who hate science and facts and who prefer to tap into their supporters' preference for a Christian home schooling curriculum and who disdain public education and who really hate universities and formal learning in general. Of those, he said:

"It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant."

Earlier this month while offering a commencement address at a university, he said:

“In politics and in life, ignorance is not a virtue“

and

“It’s not cool to not know what you’re talking about. That’s not keeping it real, or telling it like it is. That’s not challenging political correctness. That’s just not knowing what you’re talking about.”

He added:

“When our leaders express a disdain for facts, when they’re not held accountable for repeating falsehoods, and just making stuff up while actual experts are dismissed as ‘elitists,’ then we’ve got a problem. The rejection of facts, the rejection of reason and science, that is the path to decline.”

His words might be unique in both of those speeches, but his pointers adumbrate a message which is as old as that offered by the first "non-dualist" who realized - as Maharaj did eventually - that the problems of humanity center in the mind.

That was exactly the conclusion Maharaj finally reached. Thus he said, alluding to the roots of the Ultimate Sickness / the Ultimate Illness:

"All illness begins in the mind."

"Your confusion is . . . in your mind."

"Distrust your mind, and go beyond."

"There is no chaos in the world except the chaos which your mind creates."

" . . . The mind obscures and distorts."

"It is the mind that creates illusion."

"Don't rely on your mind for liberation. It is the mind that brought you into bondage. Go beyond it altogether."

And where are assigned and assumed personality identifications stored? In the mind, of course. It’s all related.

Both ignorance and identification bring heaviness and darkness. The antidote?

“The Light Triads,” which include:

1. true modesty
2. humility
3. awareness

1. empathy
2. a sense of oneness
3. an ability to differentiate between “love” and Real Love

1. Freedom from learned ignorance
2. access to wisdom
3. being sane

1. Knowing all that you are not
2. abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or supernaturally
3. functioning spontaneously

and

1. casting aside all beliefs
2. being identity-less
3. being concept-less . . .

. . . to name but a few.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

A NEW RELEASE

The book What a Cherokee Grandmother Passed On to a Grandson (100 pages with pictures) explains how is came to be that, by the ages of 5 and 6, I was already being offered pointers toward the non-dual understanding. And what astounding levels of duality I had already been exposed to! The contrasts are illustrated via the differences between being raised in the darkness of an inner city vs. spending time in the forests with a Cherokee Grandmother and seeing the light.

The book contains a discussion of how duality is modeled and copied by children who then become entrapped in dualistic thinking and talking and behaving for their entire relative existence; how some few are fortunate enough to be exposed to a 180-degree-opposite alternative; and how some will pursue that opposite mode of functioning and witnessing and seeing which can allow those few to have an opportunity to be freed from the darkness and to abide in the light.

Above all, Grandmother was what some nowadays call “fully realised.” Was she also “a teacher” of non-duality? Yes and no. She passed on non-duality not as much by offering non-dual pointers as by modeling non-duality all day, every day, for her entire relative existence.

Everything she taught was consistent with what Maharaj taught, and if ever anyone adhered to the nisarga (natural) lifestyle throughout an entire relative existence, it was Grandmother. She pointed the way to me, and she can also point the way to you as well by way of what she taught, some of which is shared in this book.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
