TODAY’S CONSIDERATIONS

Personality is the bane of humanity, even forming for the most perverted of reasons: personality is a child’s defense against the nonsense and ignorance and insanity in its home, providing the child with a perverted coping strategy to be used to try to get love from those incapable of offering true love; or to gain peace and a sense of security in an environment which is racked by instability and chaos and a sense of danger; and always to try to be bring some semblance of order to a confusing life and an insane surrounding which is dominated by senselessness.

From its earliest inception, personality drives a child’s thoughts and words and actions as the child tries to maneuver through a setting in which key elements of the Ultimate Sickness (including ignorance and insanity) prevail.

The real curse: personality will then control every aspect of the child’s life then as well as throughout adulthood. And when the hidden agendas of assumed and assigned personalities determine every thought and word and action, then persons will believe that they are making choices when they are not; thus, personality robs persons of the ability to make wise and conscious choices, based in awareness and in an ability to differentiate true from false.

Personality prevents that ability. Personality assignment and assumption are at the core of ignorance, driving persons to believe that they are something which they are not; driving them to have no clue about what they really are; and leading them to turn over control of every thought and word and action to the subconscious agenda of a false identity. Amazing, really, it that not?! Truly ignorant, is that not?! Truly sad, too, it is not?

Yet personality does not reveal itself; instead, ego-states operate from within the dark shadows of the programmed and conditioned mind. Moreover, personality does not explain itself. If you do not find out here or somewhere else how significant a role personality identifications play as they control persons’ every action, then you will never understand why you do the things you do and why others do what they do.

For example, if you have a Borderline Personality, then you will forever be trapped in emotional instability, loving a partner one minute and hating that partner the next; or you will never understand a partner who is Borderline and inspires mates to walk on eggshells when around them because one never knows if one is dealing with Mr. Hug or Mr. Slug, with Ms. Hug or Ms. Slug. And if you do not understand the way that persons with any or all of “The Dark Triad” disorders operate, then you may be pulled into their web by their charm or manipulative skills and then eventually suffer unimaginable consequences.

Many personas will inspires individuals to try to “fix” a mate, but some mates are beyond fixing. To believe that you can change a mate for the better is just another of the many dreams which make up the nightmares that are so prevalence among those living in the nightmarish Dream of the Planet (in which the “non-realized” live every day).

Therefore, since Maharaj said that “the proper role of a Guru is to dispel ignorance in the hearts and minds of his disciples,” it is incumbent upon one sharing non-dual pointers to offer seekers an ability to spot some of the most widespread personality disorders to be able to understand if those disorders are at play within their own minds;

and / or to make them aware enough to spot the disorders in others; and to avoid those with the most serious disorders which (to use the words of Russ Hudson, the co-founder of the Enneagram Institute), set the stage for those with the most serious disorders to create “difficulty for people in their lives.”

I spent time in The Netherlands with Russ and found that - even when discussing the worst side of any personality type – he can present the relevant facts in a way which might even be palatable to those whose own worst traits are being discussed. He did that with the Type Eight, the type most likely to display sociopathic or “boss-type” or “control-type” personality traits. Here in very general terms is a short overview of the Type Eight as described by Russ:

See how his word choice might make a Type Eight Boss / Controller / Sociopath more open to hearing his words describing them? “Strong,” “powerful,” want to “live powerfully,” “strong opinions,” and “like things big.” Right up their alley! Maybe a bit less palatable would be the pointers that they have difficulty “being touched” inside (that is, feeling and having empathy) and “trusting"; that they exhibit a “hardness”; that their motives "cause them to suffer” (without their even being aware of that since they are as incapable of touching their own feelings as they are incapable of understanding how others feel); and that they create “difficulty for people in their lives.”

In fact, the typical sociopath, domineering spouse, or rude boss (or the typical sociopath in one of the jobs which attract them, such as administrators, demagogue-style politicians, conniving entrepreneurs, arrogant business executives, crooked lawyers, control-freak military officers, professional sport figures, professional fighters, etc.) will find pleasure in domination. They are often most happy when someone they are dealing with is stuttering and terrified.

If a sociopath who is abusing someone verbally or otherwise sees that the target of his or her abuse is quaking or trembling or shaking or quivering or shuddering in fright, then that display of fear will trigger in the sociopath a response that is similar to an erotic or carnal reaction, so exhilarating is the sense of pleasure and stimulation which they attain from domination.

See, there is no lightness for those with “The Dark Triad” disorders, and there is no lightness for those dealing with persons who have one or more of “The Dark Triad” disorders.

Again, the fact is that those with “The Dark Triad” personality disorders are far more common than most imagine. Persons are sleeping next to narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths without even knowing it; persons are working for narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths without even knowing it;

persons are admiring and idolizing narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths without even knowing it; persons are turning their lives over to narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths for guidance without even knowing it; persons are turning their lives over to narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths for “spiritual guidance” without even knowing it.

And while arrogance is shared in common by narcissists and sociopaths and psychopaths, people with psychological disorders may display variations in their affect, that is, in their observable emotions and appearance.

From the “Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders”; "A restricted or constricted affect describes a mild restriction in the range or intensity of display of feelings. As the reduction in display of emotion becomes more severe, the term blunted affect may be applied. The absence of any exhibition of emotions is described as flat affect where the voice is monotone, the face expressionless, and the body immobile. Labile affect describes emotional instability or dramatic mood swings. When the outward display of emotion is out of context for the situation, such as laughter while describing pain or sadness, the affect is termed 'inappropriate'."

The only difference in those with any of the three disorders is the degree to which their malevolence has manifested; the degree to which their conscience is not functioning; the level of indifference to consequence and to the feelings of others; the degree to which there are no limits to what they are willing to say and no limits to what they are willing to do; the degree to which normal limiting boundaries which restrain normal people are not functioning in them; and the degree to which their unscrupulousness has developed.

To understand “the Dark Triad” disorder, and to be able to spot other personality types which can have a major impact on your relative existence just might help you realize how futile it is to tolerate abuse or chaos or nonsense or insanity while hoping that your mate will change someday, or that a controlling and interfering parent who still treats you like a child might change, or that your boss will someday in the future stop abusing you and provide a healthy work environment.

A NEW RELEASE

The book What a Cherokee Grandmother Passed On to a Grandson (100 pages with pictures) explains how is came to be that, by the ages of 5 and 6, I was already being offered pointers toward the non-dual understanding. And what astounding levels of duality I had already been exposed to! The contrasts are illustrated via the differences between being raised in the darkness of an inner city vs. spending time in the forests with a Cherokee Grandmother and seeing the light.

The book contains a discussion of how duality is modeled and copied by children who then become entrapped in dualistic thinking and talking and behaving for their entire relative existence; how some few are fortunate enough to be exposed to a 180-degree-opposite alternative; and how some will pursue that opposite mode of functioning and witnessing and seeing which can allow those few to have an opportunity to be freed from the darkness and to abide in the light.

Above all, Grandmother was what some nowadays call “fully realised.” Was she also “a teacher” of non-duality? Yes and no. She passed on non-duality not as much by offering non-dual pointers as by modeling non-duality all day, every day, for her entire relative existence.

Everything she taught was consistent with what Maharaj taught, and if ever anyone adhered to the nisarga (natural) lifestyle throughout an entire relative existence, it was Grandmother. She pointed the way to me, and she can also point the way to you as well by way of what she taught, some of which is shared in this book.

Thanks, and enjoy. Peace, Unity, Love and Light.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
