seven hours of satsang with floyd guiding seekers through all seven steps (in their exact order) to Realization. See details at the end of this post.

F.: First, this: at the beginning of the month, visitors to the site were told that Louise Sterling would assume the task of offering daily postings, and reference was made to “her skill at placing into words the pointers that point toward the Truth that cannot be stated.” It was noted that “what she shares will strike a chord and will resonate within” because “she understands fully the Wisdom of Noneness and the Real Love of Oneness.”

The content of Your e-mails reveal that You found all of that to be the case and that you would hear that speck of consciousness speak more often. She will enjoy a well-deserved break, but she will be offering additional postings on occasion.

If you are new to the site and missed her series during the first half of September 2009, you are invited to go to the archives and read those postings. It is as “spot on” as any series of Advaitin pointers that you will ever find. Thank you, Louise.

De-accumulation vs. wanting more space

Yesterday, Louise referenced “a society that reveres accumulation.” That results in the ultimate sickness that indicates the need for a heavy dose of the Ultimate Medicine. Today, you are invited to measure the degree to which you are accumulating, the amount of space that you are occupying, the size of your “footprint,” or the size of the ego that demands more and more of everything, including more space.

What is at the core of that desire for space? A call to arms was offered by a man called “Hitler” who tapped into the Aryans’ historical desire for Lebensraum (“living space”)—a misnomer to describe 25,000 years of taking from others. The Anglo-Saxon response to Hitler's call resulted in a war that eliminated over 55,000,000 persons from the planet.

In the U.S., there are some states where the goal is to amass huge estates, to acquire sprawling ranches where only a few people occupy thousands of acres of land, and to brag about being the biggest and the best. Accumulation is “revered.”

This site offers pointers via the nisarga yoga which invite persons to Realize and to function in a spontaneous and natural manner rather than trying to live in a calculated and unnatural/supernatural manner. Accumulation results when programming and conditioning inspire persons to calculate and to “revere accumulation” and thereby live unnaturally and/or supernaturally.

It has been discussed in the past that the “free-ranging” awareness-energy, when manifested as conscious energy into a confined space such as a plant or a bird or a human, is a most unnatural happening. There is as, a result, an often-subconscious longing to return to a circumstance that is limitless and boundless.

To that end, Louise invited You in yesterday’s post to “…eliminate all that is personal or that creates a fixed and rigid sense of a bound personal self” so that even as the manifestation continues, the pure consciousness can be “non-attached” and not feel as if it is bound at all.

The longing to be free is natural, but the source of the longing is misunderstood by the non-Realized. The notion that accumulation of space can provide a sense of freedom is a fallacy, and the notion that one is entitled to more space than others is a product of ego and ego's always accompanying defender—egotism.

Recently in an osteria in Firenze, a seat was taken on a backless stool that was about 14” square and at a table that was just shy of being 2’ square. There were ten such table-stool arrangements in a small space which—in the U.S.—would have only had four tables that were double or triple that size and where the notion of suggesting that patrons should sit on a backless stool would be unheard of.

At the next table, which was only inches away, sat two people who would soon introduce themselves as Giorgia and Stafano. They had watched as two different couples—all clearly from the U.S.—came in at different times over a period of a few minutes and began rearranging the furniture, pushing together two tables for two people in order to have more space.

Everyone already seated was exposed to the over-sized noise-footprint of their tirades when those wanting more space all stormed away in a huff after management made clear that they could not commandeer double the space that was offered to everyone else. Yet that is obviously their modus operandi at home and was the modus operandi they were trying to follow abroad.

Giorgia, after a time, leaned over and asked, “Are you also from the U.S.?” When answered in the affirmative, she asked, “Do you find these accommodations acceptable?” When the reply was that “the accommodations are completely acceptable,” she smiled and introduced herself and her companion Stafano.

A delightful exchange marked the remainder of the meal shared with them in that comfortable, dopo-Americano-interruptus setting. As self-ish, non-Realized persons/personas move through the relative existence, they demand more and more but enjoy less and less, even as they “succeed” at their efforts to take and to take over and to accumulate.

They want more of this and more of that (including many seekers who want “more knowledge” and who desire to be "more spiritual"). Many in ego want more space. They want to make more noise. They want more attention. They want more things. More and more and more. Accumulation, accumulation, accumulation. Post-Realization, all of that ends because Realization is always accompanied with—or followed by—de-accumulation.

Short of Full Realization, persons will never understand that if they were to respond to the invitation offered yesterday by Louise to “return to the Natural State,” there would be no personas remaining that are trying to satisfy the longing of the consciousness for what she accurately described in its former, natural state as being “form-less, limit-less, attribute-less and unfathomable.”

The questions, therefore, are, “How free do you want to be?” and “What size footprint do you desire to make?” and “How much relative space do you think you are entitled to?” and “Why would you settle for any finite space (no matter how grand its physical dimensions) when you have available the infinite space beyond?”

The ego wants excess…there is never "enough" to generate a sense of satisfaction or contentment or completion or wholeness. The Realized want nothing, desire nothing, and function within the peace-providing wisdom of the nothingness…of understanding.

The Realized understand that the term “nothing” is the closest pointer available to reference accurately “what they are/are not.” Such is the case when the wisdom on the Noneness manifests alongside the understanding of the Oneness. Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

Now available for those who would attend
“The Advaitin Retreat / Four-Day Satsang with floyd” but cannot do so for time or cost considerations:

Andy Gugar had attended some 10-12 hours of satsang with Floyd and determined at some point that the clear-cut, seven-step path to Realization as presented during the four-day retreats should be accessible to all that might be interested.

As a result of Andy’s vision and his willingness to pay for the necessary recording equipment, the entire retreat is now available via DVD’s or via a downloadable computer file version.

The downloadable file version is available to all and eliminates the expensive shipping costs, especially for international seekers. Currently, editing and production and duplication costs being as they are, only 25 sets of the DVD version are available.

Also as a result of Andy’s support, the first 25 DVD sets ordered will receive a complimentary copy of the “Spirit Journey to Your True Self” CD without charge.

The 4-Disk Video (DVD) Set, and the same retreat also available as a downloadable file, provide an entire seven-hour retreat / series of satsang sessions showing three seekers being guided through all seven steps by Floyd and can provide viewers with an “experiential,” step-by-step series of satsang meetings that will move the viewers from

identification with the I
to
abidance as the Absolute
and then to
abidance as That Which Is beyond

Some seekers are already using the computer file version and the DVD sets for meetings in groups in homes, playing the retreat, pausing for discussion, etc.
