F.: The focus now is on the reasons why most
A. will never take the necessary steps to be freed from all learned ignorance, to be restored to sanity, and to abide thereafter in a simple, light, easy, natural manner
and
B. will never Realize (that is, be freed from the key symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which Maharaj identified as “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity”) and then merely abide naturally rather than taking on a second religious or spiritual job for their entire existence
and
C. will never seek only the simplicity and joy of abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally”
and
D. are never freed from all encumbrances; cannot just take it easy; cannot relax and just live; cannot lose their excess seriousness; and cannot simply “Dance Lightly” for the remainder of the manifestation
and
E. finally stop all of the seeking and / or religious work and / or spiritual work and then just abide naturally and sanely and reasonably and wisely and freely and then live simply instead of warping what could be a near-effortless, spontaneous existence which can be supported by one job into a second, arduous, time-consuming, supposedly-all-important religious or spiritual job.
To review: there are six reasons why none of that is happening among the non-Realized masses.
Reason #1:
There’s a perceived payoff and / or “self–interests at stake and / or “personal” desires and fears” which are subconsciously driving them.
Reason #2:
Some are actually only seeking to escape reality and to dissociate from the relative existence and the responsibilities that it can require. (From the free eBook “The Most Dangerous Belief of All”: “The teachings have nothing to do with ‘escaping reality,’ with ‘leaving this world behind, mentally,’ with ‘relocating, mentally, into a castle in the air or into Foo-Foo Land’ or with ‘leaving the AM-ness behind and abiding as THAT alone’.”)
Reason #3:
Because of their early programming and conditioning, which set persons up to accept something less than any human deserves and which sets persons up to normalize the abnormal and inspires them, to believe such concepts as “suffering now is to be accepted, knowing an eternal reward awaits if I do so.”
Reason #4:
Affiliations and ego-assumption and the egotism which always manifests shortly after each and every ego-state is assumed as an identity, thus, ninety-seven percent of the people on the planet are affiliated with one religion or another and millions more brag that they “are not religious” but are “spiritual instead.” Then there are those involved with Eastern philosophies who assume the role of “The Super Seeker” and love playing out that role for their entire manifestation.
Reason #5:
The method of teaching which they happened to find (or more often just stumbled across):
The DIRECT PATH METHOD - if offered in combination with NISARGA YOGA – allows some to “get it” and start abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally.”
If seekers happen to find the PSEUDO ADVAITA METHOD, then they will never Realize.
If seekers happen to find the TRADITIONAL ADVAITA METHOD, then they, too, might spend a lifetime working at learning Sanskrit and studying the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahma Suttras and focusing as much on “scriptures” and “seeking” and “spiritual work.”
If seekers happen to find NEO-VEDANTA METHOD, they, too, can work forever at gathering new concepts and ego-states who prefer sublime or exalted or lofty content.
If seekers happen to find the NEO-ADVAITA METHOD, then they can spend a lifetime thinking they have attained the ultimate understanding though – in most cases - they have actually understood nothing but have avoided entirely the process required to truly understand and then to be truly free and abide naturally.
And REASON #6:
There are nine basic personality types which subconsciously determine the thoughts and words and behaviors of every non-Realized human, and there is some correlation between the personality types of non-dual seekers and religious and spiritual persons and how their seeking unfolds.
For most of them, their quest and searching and accumulating and their spiritual doingness and religious activities or super-seeking will be considered a mandatory, never-ending, lifetime chore. Why? To summarize and review:
PERSONALITY TYPE ONES (Perfectionistic Reformers): Usually OCD; excessive about everything; concerned with right vs. wrong; concerned with reforming all people to believe as they believe. Their seeking or religious or spiritual beliefs will forever be considered all-important, so their seeking will be a never-ending task.
PERSONALITY TYPE TWOS (Rescuers, Saviors, Helpers): Type Twos people pleasing, “love” seekers. With 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual, what better way to make everyone love you than to present oneself as being “religious” and / or “spiritual”? They never find enough love, so their efforts are for a lifetime.
PERSONALITY TYPE THREES (Performers, Image Makers): Their desire is to gain admiration and respect and esteem and high regard. With 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual, what better way to make everyone admire you than to constantly play the role of “The Super Seeker,” “The Super Religious One,” and / or “The Spiritual Giant” everywhere you go?
PERSONALITY TYPE FOURS (Seekers of Authenticity or Romanticists and Escapists): If they can move beyond the preoccupation with “being different” and “escaping,” then it is possible for an understanding of the unicity to manifest; otherwise, the “quest” can become a permanent fixture in the life of this personality type as well.
PERSONALITY TYPE FIVES (Knowers, Thinkers, “Experts”): Fives are driven to know it all and believe that “knowledge is power”; thus, they will forever be involved with knowledge accumulation. Their sense of a “spiritual path” is one which leads to true omniscience, so they are likely to work forever in order to maintain their image of “The Omniscient One” . . . “The All-Knowing One” . . . “The God-Like One.”
PERSONALITY TYPE SIXES (“Loyalists,” “Dependents,” “Co-Dependents,” “Seekers of Caretakers”): Sixes are dependent and co-dependent and driven by extreme fears, anxieties, and phobias; thus, they are forever seeking someone or something to care for them. With their quest for powerful caretakers of all sorts, including sources of power in the relative realm as well as “sources of power in religious, spiritual, and otherworldly realms,” their quest seldom ever ends.
PERSONALITY TYPE SEVENS: (The Adventurer, The Risk Taker, The Pain and Reality Avoider, The Epicurean Fun-Seeker, and often, The Addictive One):
If a Seven were to follow a “path,” it would be “the Path of Festivity,” yet few Sevens seek anything except fun and escapism and the avoidance of reality. Because seeking is seen to be “too serious” and “too little fun,” Sevens are unlikely to ever follow a “path” to its end and Realize Fully.
The “Catch-22,” the irony around all of this: it is personality that generates much of the misery and suffering of humanity, but their various personalities are the very thing that prevent being free from those misery-and-suffering-generating personality identifications.
PERSONALITY TYPE EIGHTS: (The Control Freak,” “The Confrontational One,” “The Controlling One,” “The Bossy One,” “The Abused One Who Have Become An Abusers,” “The Power-Hungry, Dominating One”): For Type Eights, everything must be a tool that can provide them with more power and control. If involved with seeking or religion or spiritual, they are driven by their selfish motive: they want every type of power that “this world” can provide (physical, emotional, psychological, financial, sexual, spiritual, whatever).
The Realized understand that “power” and “Power” are both merely concepts, but type Eights are attached to those concepts, usually for their entire relative existence.
Today, the correlation between PERSONALITY TYPE NINE and seeking and / or attachment to religious work or spiritual seeking and working will be discussed.
PERSONALITY TYPE NINES play the roles of “The Often-Too-Easygoing One,” “The Excessively-Accommodating One,” “The Agreeable, Complacent Abdicator Who Can Be Passive at One Moment and Aggressive at Another,” and “The Avoider.”
Some call Type Nines “The Peacemaker,” but that does not really apply. Though they deny their anger, they are loaded with all kinds of resentments and with anger that is both repressed and denied (often as a result of their high levels of dissociation). That inspires them at times to behave in a volcanic fashion, supposedly at peace before the pressure inside builds up and then they explode. On those occasions, they can be as brutal as any sociopathic Type Eight.
Instead of “The Peacemaker,” Nines might be called more accurately “The Peacekeeper” as long as it is clear that the only peace which they are really concerned with is their own. Their often-subconscious, underlying motivation is to achieve and maintain "peace of mind." The Realized understand the fallacy of that desire:
Maharaj: “There is no such thing as peace of mind.” The title of one eBook below reflects that pointer: THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS “PEACE OF MIND” (There’s Only Peace if You Are Out of Your Mind).
One common “version” of the Nine which consistently appears with that personality type is “The Divine Nine.” Often Nines become absorbed in "spiritual work" or "recovery programs" or "Far Eastern studies" or "religious work."
They see themselves as being "more peaceful" than most, though their actual agenda is to avoid confrontation or even engagement and communicating at all costs in order to maintain their own inner peace (which is really non-existence but that is so believed in that it is taken to be an unquestionable truth). In the case of "The Divine Nine," that role is a product of form over substance.
Attached as they are to their public image of “The Calm One” and “The Ones Who Are So Spiritual That They Are the Epitome of Peace and Tranquility,” they will play out in public that persona’s supposed serenity. What happens behind closed doors is an entirely different situation.
With such attachment to their public persona of “The Super Peaceful One” or “The Spiritual Giant,” it is not likely that they will ever follow a “path” to Full Realization and then stop all the spiritual going and doing and zooming and abide naturally and simply.

A DAILY CONSIDERATION FOR YOU

They are already abiding in the manner in which these teachings are intended to allow you to abide.
You can “get that” and be done once and for with all of the going and doing and zooming and “personal doer” stuff and then enjoy the relative. Or, you can continue to be driven by perverted programming which tells you that you must make a second job out of living, such as the supposed job of preparing for “the afterlife” or to working to avoid a "recycling" or some such - all of which is total nonsense.
As a composite unity of plant food elements which are circulating air and which is temporarily cycling a form of energy called “consciousness” - what will happen is this: at some point, the elements will return to the universal pool of elements; the final breath will be exhaled and the air will be released into the universal pool of air; and the consciousness will eventually be released from every cell and return to the universal pool of conscious-energy.
End of story. There is no reward or punishment later; there is no "rebirth" because there is no birth at all; there is no “getting sane” later and reaping the benefit later; there is merely . . . NOW. And that is all which can be enjoyed.
If interested, the process awaits, but the readiness is all.

F.: Of all of the teachings offered by Maharaj as his message evolved over the decades and as there was a shift from (1) a religious / spiritual combination message to (2) a spiritual message to (2) a non-religious, non-spiritual, entirely Nisargan message, it is likely that no teaching was as unpopular as the one in this series.
In its simplest form, the message is this:
There is an Ultimate Sickness that is the cause of the problems of humanity.
The Sickness has nothing to do with persons failing to be religious enough (and, in fact, it is excessive dogma and religious beliefs which are major contributors to the Sickness).
The Sickness has nothing to do with a “spiritual malady.”
The Sickness is a mental Sickness.
As with women, none can be “a little pregnant.” One is either pregnant or not pregnant; similarly, to use Maharaj’s words which identified some of the key symptoms of the Sickness, no one can be driven by a little “ignorance” or “a little insanity.”
“Full” Realization means that one has been freed from all learned ignorance and freed from all insanity. To that end, if one is “well,” why keep going back to the doctor? Only because one or more newly-assumed, supposedly “good,” false identifications which have been adopted and which involve the Sickness and the search for the Ultimate Medicine.
Wellness has become secondary to the search for wellness. Sane? Or insane?
Yet if one has found the Ultimate Medicine and have been freed from the Ultimate Sickness and its effects, how insane would it be to keep looking for the Medicine?
Of course most are never de-programmed but are constantly being re-programmed instead, so the message transmitted by the new programming is this: "You are never cured . . . you will never be done . . . and even if you find what you have been searching for and it has made you well, then you must still continue with the daily meetings and daily exercises and daily work in order to maintain you’re never found relief."
Again, that’s sheer nonsense . . . just more insanity. If one has truly been restored to sanity - and thus refuses now and forevermore all of the types of programming and conditioning and brainwashing, etc. which caused the Ultimate sickness to start with - then the Ultimate Sickness cannot be contracted again.
The Ultimate (Mental) Sickness is like many physical illnesses in an important way. Consider: though there is a new concern about an increase in the cases of the measles in the U.S., those who were exposed to the measles earlier are now immune. Having been exposed to - or having contracted - measles earlier, the body now has an immunity which lasts for the remainder of the manifestation.
Similarly, if persons contracted the Ultimate Sickness because they were exposed earlier to insane programming and ignorant conditioning and bizarre brainwashing – as all are – but then truly become free of the it symptoms via use of the Ultimate Medicine, then they are immune to the Sickness.
Once the Nisargan understanding had truly freed Maharaj of all of the effects of his earlier exposure to insane programming and ignorant conditioning and bizarre brainwashing, he was immune to the effects of those for the remainder of the manifestation.
He was not – in the end – “mostly sane”; nor was he occasionally “a little insane.” He was done. No more seeking happened. Same here. Yet persons who just don’t “get it” still recommend the latest non-dual book they just came across; persons still send non-dual magazines; persons still share what was said by this teacher or that teacher whom they just found. That’s all useless.
Here, there is no more seeking, no more searching, no more needs beyond what happens to meet the basic food-clothing-shelter requirements of the relative existence.
With the Nisargan understanding, freedom from learned ignorance and a lack of wellness and insanity have come, so the seeking of knowledge and wellness and sanity has ended.
Over. Complete. Done.
And that is what the teaching being discussed in this series is about: it is about using the Ultimate Medicine to become free of the effects of a most unnatural illness and then abide naturally . . . normally . . . wisely . . . intuitively . . . and spontaneously.
That is what happens with each among the millions upon millions of life-forms on planet earth, with one exception: humanity.
Yet so many say, “Floyd, my life would not be as blessed if I not do this or that every day or every week” or “if I did not visit the special places on the planet” or “if I did not go to meetings or revivals or annual retreats or spiritual festivals or the ashram or the special river or the special mountain.” What is the reply to those comments?
Let me first mention a habit a woman had. When she disagreed with what someone was telling her, she extended her arm with her hand raised in the air and the palm facing the person with whom she was disagreeing and she would say, “Talk to the hand, ‘cause I ain’t listening.”
So my invitation to those who think they must forever seek or must forever be engaged in religious doingness or must forever engage in their daily spiritual exercises: “Talk to the deer, and see if they listen.”
The deer provide one example of natural abidance and, like all non-human life-forms which do not have to deal with humans, they do quite fine.
Tell them that they are spiritually sick and need to do the things you can teach them to do. Tell them that they need to study your “holy” book forever and live according to it content. Tell them they should move beyond the small area of the forest where they abide and go all around the planet to “more special” places and “even holy” places, constantly seeking what they need to find.
The deer, as well as the fish and the birds and all things which abide naturally would not give you a second of their time or the smallest speck of their attention.

F.: So let’s review the reasons why most
A. will never take the necessary steps to be freed from all learned ignorance, to be restored to sanity, and to abide thereafter in a simple, light, easy, natural manner
and
B. will never Realize (that is, be freed from the key symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which Maharaj identified as “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity”) and then merely abide naturally rather than taking on a second religious or spiritual job for their entire existence
and
C. will never seek only the simplicity and joy of abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally”
and
D. will never be freed from all encumbrances; will not just take it easy; will not relax and just live; will not lose their excess seriousness; and will not simply “Dance Lightly” for the remainder of the manifestation
and
E. finally, will not stop all of the seeking and / or religious work and / or spiritual work and then just abide naturally and sanely and reasonably and wisely and freely and then live simply instead of warping what could be a near-effortless, spontaneous existence which can be supported by one job into a second, arduous, time-consuming, supposedly-all-important religious or spiritual job.
There are six reasons why none of that is happening among the non-Realized masses:
Reason #3:
Because of their early programming and conditioning, which sets persons up to normalize the abnormal and which inspires them to believe such concepts as “suffering now is to be accepted, knowing an eternal reward awaits me if I do so.”
Reason #4:
Being influenced by affiliations and ego-assumption and the egotism which always manifests shortly after each and every ego-state is assumed as an identity; thus, ninety-seven percent of the people on the planet are affiliated with one religion or another and millions more brag that they “are not religious” but are “spiritual instead.” Then there are those involved with Eastern philosophies who assume the role of “The Super Seeker” and love playing out that role for their entire manifestation.
Reason #5:
The method of teaching which they happened to find (or more often just stumbled across):
The DIRECT PATH METHOD - if offered in combination with NISARGA YOGA - allows some to “get it” and start abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally.”
If seekers happen to find the PSEUDO ADVAITA METHOD, then they will never Realize.
If seekers happen to find the TRADITIONAL ADVAITA METHOD, then they, too, might spend a lifetime working at learning Sanskrit and studying the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahma Suttras and focusing on “scriptures” and “seeking” and “spiritual work.”
If seekers happen to find NEO-VEDANTA METHOD, they, too, can work forever at gathering new concepts and ego-states who prefer sublime or exalted or lofty content.
If seekers happen to find the NEO-ADVAITA METHOD, then they can spend a lifetime thinking they have attained the ultimate understanding though - in most cases - they have actually understood nothing but have avoided entirely the process required to truly understand and then to be truly free and abide naturally.
And then currently being discussed . . .
REASON #6:
There are nine basic personality types which subconsciously determine the thoughts and words and behaviors of every non-Realized human, and there is some correlation between the personality types of non-dual seekers and religious and spiritual persons and how their seeking unfolds.
For most of them, their quest and searching and accumulating and their spiritual doingness and religious activities or super-seeking will be considered a mandatory, never-ending, lifetime chore. Why?
To summarize, every not-Fully-Realized person has one of these types as a primary type but also has one degree or another of each of the other 8 types:
PERSONALITY TYPE SEVENS: ("The Adventurer," "The Risk Taker," "The Pain and Reality Avoider," "The Epicurean Fun-Seeker," and often, "The Addictive One"):
If a Seven were to follow a “path,” it would be “the Path of Festivity,” yet few Sevens seek anything except fun and escapism and the avoidance of reality. Because seeking is seen to be “too serious” and “too little fun,” Sevens are unlikely to ever follow a “path” to its end and Realize Fully.
The “Catch-22” . . . the irony around all of this: it is personality that generates much of the misery and suffering of humanity, but their various personalities are the very thing that prevent persons from ever being freed from the influence of their misery-and-suffering-generating personality identifications.
Now the discussion continues with PERSONALITY TYPE EIGHTS: ("The Control Freak,” “The Confrontational One,” “The Controlling One,” “The Bossy One,” “The Abused One Who Has Become An Abuser,” “The Power-Hungry, Dominating One”): For Type Eights, everything must be a tool that can provide them with more power and control. If involved with seeking or religion or spirituality, they are actually involved because of their selfish motives: they want every type of power that “this world” can provide (physical, emotional, psychological, financial, sexual, spiritual, whatever) and they want every type of "other-worldly" Power as well.
Eights will go to any lengths to pursue a cause which they believe in (be that anything from drinking to a theological debate to presenting as "the most religious" or "the most spiritual person ever" if they think they can get a payoff (including a payoff from people to a payoff from “a God” or from some “Higher Power”). Passion is their life-blood.
From the Institute: “Eights are charismatic and have the physical and psychological capacities to persuade others to follow them into all kinds of endeavors—from starting a company, to rebuilding a city, to running a household, to waging war, to making peace”
and, if disintegrated to an unhealthy psychic level:
“They may try to brutally destroy everything that has not conformed to their will rather than surrender to anyone else. They will be vengeful, barbaric, or even murderous. They will display deep sociopathic behaviors which generally correspond to the Antisocial Personality Disorder."
The Realized understand that “power” and “Power” are both merely concepts, but Type Eights are attached to those concepts, usually for their entire relative existence.
Because they are seeking power, and because their desire for power never ends, then they will never find the understanding that can lead to the kind of peace which will be discussed in the next series entitled “SLO-MO LIVING.”
Instead, they will remain go-ers and do-ers and zoomers and will usually give up their quest for power and control only when the last breath is exhaled from the composite unity.
To be continued.

the misery and suffering of humanity, but the various personalities which humans assume

The discussion continues, looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers - will never take the necessary steps to be freed from all learned ignorance, to be restored to sanity, and to abide thereafter in a simple, light, easy, natural manner.
The discussion is looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers – do not follow a simple, Direct “Path” (combined with a yoga which results in abiding naturally) which could free them from being driven by the insane, subconscious agendas of multiple personalities and which could allow them to finally begin making the wise, conscious choices which lead to the simplicity and joy of abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally.”
The discussion is also looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers - do not just abide simply and let “life go on”; do not “abide naturally”; are never freed from all encumbrances; cannot just take it easy; cannot relax and just live; cannot lose their excess seriousness; and cannot simply “Dance Lightly” for the remainder of the manifestation.
Additionally, the discussion revisits the Nisargan invitation to seek; then find; then stop all of the seeking and / or religious work and / or spiritual work; then just abide naturally and sanely and reasonably and wisely and freely; and then live simply instead of warping what could be a near-effortless, spontaneous existence which can be supported by one job into a second, arduous, time-consuming, supposedly-all-important religious or spiritual job.

They are preoccupied with being happy and engaging in pleasurable activities and avoid (deny) pain and suffering. They are most unlikely to deal with “issues” because they refuse to recognize them. Hating boredom, they can become addicted to chaos. Type Sevens want to be carefree and playfulness and eternally amused. To them, life is supposed to be a celebration.
But sometimes the “party-hardy” mindset turns on them. If, at that point, they happen to join a spiritual group to address their addiction (or to try to find some relief from having been beaten down by their addictive behaviors), the fact that they show many of the Type One’s traits will assure that they will become OCD around their spiritual work and spiritual exercises and the development and maintenance of their spiritual persona.
As a result, they will fixate at the third of seven steps on the seven-step "path" used here and will likely never move beyond the same kind of role-playing which they engaged in early on, except now they will be sure that their new roles are “good” whereas their old roles were “bad.” If they find “recovery” via one religion or another, they will be equally as obsessive and will also behave as compulsively as their spiritual counterparts.
In the end, both the “religious” cure and the “spiritual” cure involve too little fun and too little excitement for Sevens (who are typically unfocused and rebellious and undisciplined and restless and self-destructive), so research shows that – around the globe – only 2% to 3% who become involved with either will still be involved in five years. Ninety percent leave after slightly more than a year. (Statistics from a Harvard University / U.S. Government study.)
Because seeking is seen to be “too serious” and “too little fun,” Sevens are unlikely to ever follow a “path” to its end and Realize Fully.

To review:
There are nine basic personality types which subconsciously determine the thoughts and words and behaviors of every non-Realized human, and there is some correlation between the personality types of non-dual seekers and religious and spiritual persons and how their seeking unfolds. In fact, it is personality identifications which most often traps persons, which causes them to fixate at the third of seven steps on the "path," and which almost guarantees that they will never break free from constant seeking or from their assumed but false religious or spiritual role playing.
For most of them, their quest and searching and accumulating and their spiritual doingness and religious activities or super-seeking will be considered a mandatory, never-ending, lifetime chore. Why?
PERSONALITY TYPE ONES (Perfectionistic Reformers): Type One seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons are usually OCD; concerned with being right and righteous; concerned with reforming all people to believe as they believe. With that agenda, their seeking or religion or spiritual beliefs will be considered all-important not only now but also forever. If one is about the business of reforming the world, that is a never-ending task.
PERSONALITY TYPE TWOS (Rescuers, Saviors, Helpers): Type Two seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons are forever wanting to impress others in order to gain “love,” and what is more impressive (with 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual) than to present oneself as being “religious” and / or “spiritual”? They never find enough love, so their efforts are for a lifetime. They will likely never Realize and then relax and abide naturally.
PERSONALITY TYPE THREES (Performers, Image Makers): Type Three seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons are forever wanting to impress others, but their desire is to gain admiration and respect and esteem and high regard, not “love.” With their high OCD levels and with 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual, what better way to be admired than by playing the role of “The Super Seeker,” “The Super Religious One,” and / or “The Spiritual Giant”?
PERSONALITY TYPE FOURS (Seekers of Authenticity or Romanticists and Escapists): Type Fours seekers, religious persons, and spiritual personas, if driven by the quest for “being different” and “feeling differently” and “thinking romantically rather than realistically, Realization will likely be impossible; for the Type Four that can set aside that concern with “different” and “differences” and “romanticism and escaping,” then it is possible for an understanding of the unicity to manifest; otherwise, the “quest” can become a permanent fixture in the life of this personality type as well.
PERSONALITY TYPE FIVES (Knowers, Thinkers, “Experts”): As with Type Ones, Fives are driven to know it all, so they will forever be involved with knowledge accumulation and may show signs of OCD. Wanting to understand everything, their seeking or accumulation of religious and spiritual knowledge will seldom ever end. Usually, it does not. They really desire power and believe that “knowledge is power.” Their sense of a “spiritual path” is one which leads to true omniscience - to the capacity to know everything that there is to know – including all that can be known from “a higher source.” To be “The Omniscient, The All-Knowing One” is to be “god-like” . . . or even, God.
Today, the discussion turns to PERSONALITY TYPE SIXES (“Loyalists,” “Dependents,” “Co-Dependents,” “Seekers of Caretakers”):
Sixes – making up 50% of the planet’s population - have some particular reasons why they are forever seeking or forever working at becoming even more religious or spiritual. It has a great deal to do with the fact that they are anxiety-and-fear-based.
So afraid are they that they are often driven to seek employment which involves firearms. Some join a police force or a military force or work as an armed security guard; others become a government agent (working for the DEA, FBI, CIA, Secret Service, etc.) or become a bounty hunter or work as a body guard, a prison guard or a warden;
some in the U.S. work for Homeland Security (as over a quarter million people do); others become Border Patrol agents or professional hunters-guides-trackers or gun shop owner or rifle range owners or or certified firearms instructors;
some become hired mercenaries (or military contractors) or work for a private military company. (During its recent wars, the U.S. government employed tens of thousands of such "contractors"). Others have become members of a radical terrorist organization or have worked as mafia hit men.
Of course with Sixes making up one-half of the population of the planet, there are not enough of those type jobs to employ 3.6 billion people, so often Sixes will address their sense of insecurity by seeking by affiliating with other establishment-type institutions which they think will be large enough and strong enough to take care of them.
Michael Korda said: “Our system of education teaches us to put our faith in something else —a corporation, a marriage, a trade, a profession, a religion, politics, something (one might almost say anything) which offers us a set of rules we can obey and rewards us for obedience to them." To Sixes, the belief is: "It's safer to be a domestic animal than a wild one.”
A "marriage"? Yes. Many Sixes will marry in order to gain a sense of security and to find a caretaker to pay their bills. That lies in the fact that Sixes have a significant propensity to be dependent and co-dependent, so anything that can guarantee a roof over their heads, clothing (or uniforms), three square meals a day, and healthcare will seen attractive. A Type Six nephew joined the military explaining those were his reasons.
(A Six seeking security will not ask the next question: “Am I really going to be safe and provided for by joining an organization that may well put me in the line of fire of others who will want to kill me, especially if we invade their country?” Sixes are often emotionally-intoxicated as a result of their extreme fears, anxieties, and phobias, so that nephew refused to discuss any of the “down side” possibilities; he ran full-speed-ahead toward what he saw as a provider of security, joined the army, and was sent into war zones time and again.)
The Enneagram Institute shared this about Sixes:
They are looking for something—a set of guidelines, an authority—to supply them with a direction in life, to tell them what they can and cannot do, to give them more clarity, to put limits on them—in a word, for security.
Sixes are full of contradictions. They can be dependent on others, yet value their independence. They want to be trusted and to trust others, yet constantly test others to allay their own suspicions. They want the protection of authority, yet fear it. They are obedient yet, disobedient; fearful of aggression, yet sometimes highly aggressive themselves.
They search for security, yet feel insecure. They are likable and endearing, yet can be mean and hateful. They are reassured by traditional values, yet may subvert those values. They want to escape punishment, yet may bring it on themselves. Sixes are full of contradictions because anxiety makes them ricochet from one psychological state to another. And in response to anxiety, Sixes look to structures, beliefs, allies, and authorities to put their anxiety to rest.
For Sixes, security comes from a rock-of-ages allegiance and an investment of themselves in something outside themselves which they believe will give them stability and safety. Sixes want to feel protected and secure by having something bigger and more powerful than they guiding them. IBM will do, but so will the Communist party, or the Republican party or the church. The doctrines Sixes believe are important to them, but not as important as having someone to trust and believe in.
Because they feel unsure of themselves, Sixes look outside themselves for something to support and reassure them. This could be a spouse, a job, trusted friends, the military, a religion or belief system, a therapist, a spiritual practice, a guru … the possibilities are as varied as the individual circumstances of Sixes’ lives.
As a result of their identification with the protective figure, whether phobic or counterphobic, Sixes are internally questioning their activities to see whether they will meet with the internalized standards of the protective figure—their superego.
[Recall The superego is the ethical component of the personality and provides the moral standards by which the ego operates. The superego's criticisms, prohibitions, and inhibitions form a person's conscience, and its positive aspirations and ideals represent one's idealized self-image, or “ego ideal” (or the internal judging, moralizing “mother” who wants her child / children to always be “good”) Additionally, the all-pervasive fears of Sixes will often inspire them to assume the role of “The Loyalist” as a result of their faith, and blind faith, in large institutions that they are attracted to because those institutions seem powerful and able to provide.]
The Enneagram Institute describes Sixes as “Dependent types, forever seeking someone or something to care for them – ergo, their dependency on God. [The goal of the Six who would be healthy should involve striving to stop being] "dependent on something outside the self for guidance so that they can rise to become grounded in their own inner guidance."
How will those types ever give up their quest for power of all sorts, including sources of power in relative realms as well as sources of power in religious, spiritual, and otherworldly realms? They likely will not.

F.: The subject matter of this series was probably the least favorite of all of the topics which Maharaj discussed in his Direct Path / Nisargan sharings. With so many persons embroiled in the activities and philosophies of the other four teaching methods - and the near-endless perverted versions of those four - most seekers find totally alien the notion that seeking can end and that Maharaj's invitation to "just give up spirituality" and "abide naturally" should even be considered.
Nevertheless, the discussion continues, looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers - will never take the necessary steps to be freed from all learned ignorance, to be restored to sanity, and to abide thereafter in a simple, light, easy, natural manner.

For most of them, their quest and searching and accumulating and their spiritual doingness and religious activities or super-seeking will be considered a mandatory, never-ending, lifetime chore.
Why?
PERSONALITY TYPE ONES (Perfectionistic Reformers): Type One seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons are usually OCD; concerned with being right and righteous; and concerned with reforming all people to believe as they believe. With that agenda, their seeking or religious or spiritual beliefs will be considered all-important, not only now but also forever. Today, the discussion will move to PERSONALITY TYPE FIVES (Knowers, Thinkers, “Experts”): As with Type Ones, Fives are driven to know it all, so they will forever be involved with knowledge accumulation and may also show signs of OCD. Also, they can look like escapist Fours because they are avoiders; however, Type Ones are about the business of reforming everyone to believe what they believe in their effort to reform the world, whereas Type Fives are about accumulating knowledge in order to impress others and satisfy their need-for-esteem issues. While Fives might see themselves as being “private and introspective,” others often see them as anti-social, secretive, remote, and eccentric.
[So note: Threes avoid their own truth; Fours desire to escape, as do Sixes and Sevens. Nines, like Fives, are avoiders. Fours, Fives, and Nines can all prefer isolation. Therefore, consider how many persons on the planet are being driven subconsciously to try to escape reality and to try to avoid dealing with anything head on.]
The very existence of a Type Five is absorbed in and subsumed by "investigating, learning, knowing, and knowing it all" – all solitary acts. They supposedly want to understand everything. How could their seeking or accumulation of religious and spiritual knowledge ever end? Usually, it does not.
They are the antithesis of the Realized because they are arrogant (intellectually), unassertive, and impractical. They prefer intelligence over wisdom, though they certainly want to appear to be wise. They have an insatiable appetite for information and will build huge libraries of self-help or dogma-containing or "spiritual" books and they accumulate books written by “Big Name Teachers.” (Type Threes do the same. The difference is, Fives actually read their books. Threes just display theirs for show, yet Fives - as with Threes - do consider their libraries to be an outward show of their inner knowledge and intelligence.) Fives prefer to try to meet “the world” with their minds. They prefer an appearance of being studious and scholarly. They actually desire power and they believe that “knowledge is power.” Their sense of a “spiritual path” is one which leads to true omniscience - to the capacity to know everything that there is to know – including all that can be known from “a higher source.” Their goal is to be "The Omniscient One" and "The All-Knowing One" and to be “god-like” . . . or even, God.
How can one being driven by the subconscious agenda of a Type Five ever see that knowledge is just “learned ignorance,” then cast aside all of that, then de-accumulate fully, and then stop all of the work and merely abide naturally? That is not likely to happen. That which they seek is deemed to be all-important. What are the odds of their ever realizing that it is all totally insignificant? Zero? Likely. Therefore, their “quest” seldom ever ends.
Such is the case when personality drives all thoughts and words and actions. See the “Catch-22”? It is personality – all personal identifications - which must be rejected in order to move along the remainder of the “path” and complete steps 4 – 7. Yet it is at the third stop on the seven-step “path” where the “good” identities take hold; thus, most never move beyond the third of seven steps and will never stop playing the roles of "The Super Seeker" and / or "The Super Religious One," and / or "The Spiritual Giant."
Of them, Maharaj said: You think that you are being bathed in the bright light of the noonday sun but, in fact, you are still only standing in the dull light of dawn.
Consider what happens when one’s thoughts and words and actions are all determined and driven by the hidden agendas of each of the personality types. Then note Maharaj’s pointer: they “have absorbed you so completely that you just cannot grasp how far from reality you have wandered.”
Thus, most will never end the seeker’s quest; or the religious one’s fixation with dogma and converting all; or the spiritual ones quest to engage in spiritual going and doing and zooming and showing all others just how spiritual she or he supposedly is.
To be continued.
Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

F.: The discussion continues, looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers - will never complete the necessary steps to be freed from all learned ignorance, to be restored to sanity, and to abide thereafter in a simple, light, easy manner.
The discussion is also looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers – do not follow a simple, Direct “Path” combined with a yoga which offers an understanding that results in abiding naturally and which could free them from being driven by the insane, subconscious agendas of multiple personalities and which could allow them to finally begin making the wise, conscious choices which lead to the simplicity and joy of abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or “supernaturally.”
Also, the discussion is looking at the reasons why the masses - including most seekers - do not just abide simply and let “life go on”; do not “abide naturally”; are never freed from all encumbrances; cannot just take it easy; cannot relax and just live; cannot lose their excess seriousness; and cannot simply “Dance Lightly” for the remainder of the manifestation.
Additionally, the discussion revisits the Nisargan invitation to seek; then find; then stop all of the seeking and / or religious work and / or spiritual work; then just abide naturally and sanely and reasonably and wisely and freely; and then live simply instead of warping what could be a near-effortless, spontaneous existence (which can be supported by one job) into a second, arduous, time-consuming, supposedly-all-important religious or spiritual job.
So far, this has been shown:
(A) There are nine basic personality types which subconsciously determine the thoughts and words and behaviors of every non-Realized human, and there is some correlation between the personality types of non-dual seekers and religious and spiritual persons and how their seeking unfolds.
(B) For most of them, their quest and searching and accumulating and their spiritual doingness and religious activities or super-seeking will be considered a mandatory, never-ending, lifetime chore.
(C) The description of the way that PERSONALITY TYPE ONE seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons function showed that they are OCD; concerned with being right and righteous; concerned with reforming all people to believe as they believe. With that agenda, their seeking or religion or spiritual beliefs will be considered all-important not only now but also forever. If one is about the business of reforming the world, that is a never-ending task. Such types will likely never Realize and then relax and abide naturally rather than “supernaturally.”
(D) The description of the way that PERSONALITY TYPE TWO seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons function showed that they are forever wanting to impress others in order to gain “love,” and what is more impressive (with 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual) than being "religious" and / or "spiritual"? Their efforts are for a lifetime. They will likely never Realize and then relax and abide naturally.
(E) The description of the way that PERSONALITY TYPE THREE seekers, religious persons, and spiritual persons function showed that they are forever wanting to impress others, but in order to gain admiration and respect and esteem and high regard, not "love." With their high OCD levels and with 97% of the people on the planet claiming a religious affiliation and with millions more claiming to be spiritual, what better way to be admired than by playing the role of “The Super Seeker,” “The Super Religious One,” and / or “The Spiritual Giant”?
Today, the seeking and behavior patterns of PERSONALITY TYPE FOUR will be discussed. The relevant pointers involving Type Fours and seeking are these:
(1) No other type has a great a propensity for seeking authenticity than the Type Four; however,
(2) that type - which was Maharaj’s primary type - guarantees nothing in terms of likelihood to become Fully Realized because it is also a type which can become caught up in escapism and mental flights of fancy in order to try to avoid the realities of the relative existence;
(3) Additionally, even if every Type Four abandoned tendencies toward escapism and followed the steps which lead to Full Realization, the result would be insignificant because – while 50% of all persons on the planet are Type Sixes – only ½ of 1% are Type Fours.
(4) Moreover, Type Fours are susceptible to becoming “hung up” on their “feelings” (which are more often personality-generated emotions which can lead to emotional intoxication); are susceptible to being diverted from the “path” by becoming embroiled in efforts to “be understood”; are susceptible to being diverted from the “path” by becoming embroiled in efforts to find “the meaning of life”; and can become diverted from the “path” by trying to avoid the ordinary. (One genius named Goethe with a high Type Four influence said, “I can stand anything except a succession of ordinary days.”)
For the Fully Realized Four, a “succession of ordinary days” is just fine, but for the non-Realized Four, that’s not enough. For example, a walk along the beach might be pleasurable to many couples, but the Four needs the addition of an approaching storm in the distance, accompanied by lightning and rolling thunder, and then a soft rain which turns into a downpour and soaks the Four and his / her friend as they race back to shelter and then fall into the other’s arms and share a passionate kiss while embracing the dampness of their hair and skin and clothes.
For a Type Four driven by the quest for “being different” and “feeling differently,” Realization is impossible; for the Four that can set aside concern with “different” and “differences,” then it is possible for an understanding of the unicity to manifest.
Otherwise, the “quest” can become a permanent fixture in the life of this personality type, just as the case is with all other types that have a preference for “the seeking” and “the doingness” rather than “the finding” and “finally, once and for all, being done with” making a second religious or spiritual job out of what is a simple life for every other living thing on the planet except for humans or for life-forms having to deal with humans.

24. both made the decision that whatever amount of the relative existence remains shall be spent in sharing the teachings in the way that has been seen to be the most effective method: not suggesting that there are not enough religious persons; not suggesting that the Ultimate Sickness is caused by being "spiritually-unfit"; but by seeing that the problem centers in the mind (which must come to an end, which it will the moment all beliefs are abandoned)
Looking back over the list of those that have truly received the understanding, it is seen that Robert R. read all of the books, then took the online Advaita course and then completed some face-to-face Skype sessions to receive the final clarifications required. It was seen that Mac read all of the books, completed the online course, and then attended a retreat where he was guided through the seven steps. Mac said that the online course work inspired him to attend the retreat in order to be able to receive the final "pieces." It was seen that Andy Gugar, Jr. read all of the books, then came here for a retreat and was taken through the seven steps in order, and then returned once more for the final clarifications required. After reviewing the shifts that happened with him after attending two retreats, he reaffirmed this past week his commitment to helping spread the non-duality, nisarga understanding as presented here.

"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"
The
content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous
beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight
about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel
going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.
Maharaj said of each that visited his Bombay loft, “Only that person will visit this place whose virtue and sin have come to an end.”
He also said that the problems of humankind are problems associated
with the Ultimate Sickness and that three of the key traits of the
Ultimate Sickness are "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity."
To
that end, either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the
planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough
or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the
"ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity
and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does
not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster
“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross
“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby
“ ‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

While in South Africa in 2011, I was introduced to A Primate’s Memoir (2002)
by Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky. Sapolsky is an American
neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and
neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a
Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.
A Primate’s Memoir (which documents Sapolsky’s years in Africa while studying baboons), was recommended because there is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe. The book also portrays an unconventional way of studying neurophysiology to determine the effects of stress on life expectancy. (And the reduction or elimination of stress among humans is one of the aims of the non-dual understanding.)
Now Sapolsky’s recent findings are offered in a documentary film entitled “Stress: Portrait of a Killer.” [The 56-minute film is available on YouTube in many countries.]
This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.
In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:
Often, many do not really know WHY they are seeking. Too, many who are asked WHAT they are seeking often offer no clear-cut answer beyond the standard talk about "Realization" or "Enlightenment." For those who have come this way and have a clear notions about why they are seeking and what they are seeking, many have not yet found anyone that has shown them exactly HOW to go about the process. The content in "Part One" offers some considerations about all three.
In “Part Two” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.
Maharaj’s loft was actually more of a laboratory in a loft in Bombay (now “Mumbai”) because he undertook in that loft many experiments in his efforts to find an effective form of the Ultimate Medicine that could treat the Ultimate Sickness effectively and successfully. In fact, he would eventually have three laboratories:
He first ran . . .
** a “Religion Laboratory,” then later
** a “Spirituality Laboratory” and eventually
** a “Psychology Laboratory.”
All three will be discussed in detail in "Part Two."
“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence. Among the Realized, there are no beliefs about “birth” so there are no beliefs about “the danger of death” (or the danger of anything else, for that matter).

"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"
Regarding the content in this 337-page book:
“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence. Among the Realized, there are no beliefs about “birth” so there are no beliefs about “the danger of death” (or the danger of anything else, for that matter).
Certainly,
therefore, there are no concerns about “dying,” “an afterlife,” or
“receiving reward vs. punishment.” Additionally, the Realized make no
judgment about suicide or the “rightness” or “wrongness” of that act.
But
of those who do commit suicide, how many shoot themselves in the foot
over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the
head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the
chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area
that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives
them into the depths of insanity.
And
what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are
not their beliefs at all.
They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming,
conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.
And
what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and
convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even
sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.
So how can “dangerous” have any relevance alongside an understanding which has no beliefs
about birth, death, or an afterlife? It is relevant only in terms of the
way that the relative unfolds.
Strictly relatively speaking, there are those who move through the
relative existence without being driven by what Maharaj called “ignorance and stupidity and insanity”
and there are those who move through the relative existence while being
driven by all three of those symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness.
Persons in the latter group who are driven by those three traits are the most
likely to generate, relatively speaking, hazard / menace / chaos /
danger . . . call it what you will.
While the Realized give no validity to any "a" vs. "b" duality, the Realized are
wise enough to stand (a) outside the tigers’ cage at a zoo rather than (b) enter
into the tigers’ cage.
If
a wise one were to somehow magically have the option of meeting either
Gandhi or ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a dark alley, the wise one
would be interested in the beliefs of neither and would be in awe of
neither but would likely choose Gandhi over Abu Bakr, based in a wise
one’s tendency to seek peace rather than peril and wellbeing rather than
danger.
Yet that choice would be based in sanity and wisdom rather than in fear or fright; it would be based more in a tendency to end suffering rather than a propensity for increasing suffering.
Yes,
to bring an end to the fear in which one might be trapped, the non-dual
teacher will gladly point out that that the rope in the dark corner of a
barn is a rope rather than a snake, but the teacher will be equally as
glad to point out the pending “danger” to the seeker who is about to try
to pick up a snake because she or he is mistaking it for a rope.
Again, Maharaj: “The teacher does not evaluate. His sole concern is with suffering and the ending of suffering.”
The
Realized understand that, in the end, those persons with the most
blind-faith-based beliefs are usually going to be the ones who are least
concerned about peace and the ones most likely to generate chaos and
relative dangers.
The
reason for offering the pointers in this book are in alignment with the
same reasons that any true non-dual pointers are offered: to cast light
onto the darkness; to allow those who cannot see to finally see; to
provide a method by which those who cannot differentiate between the
true and the false may finally do so;
to
offer an effective version of the Ultimate Medicine in order to
alleviate the ignorance-and-insanity-induced-suffering which results
from the Ultimate Sickness; and thus to facilitate the opportunity for
those seeking peace and light and True Love to succeed in their quest.
To that end, best regards.

COMPARE YOUR "JOURNEY" AND SEE IF YOU'VE UNDERGONE ANY EVENTS THAT PARALLEL THOSE OF MAHARAJ AND FLOYD
The "experiences" of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and Floyd share many parallel. Many visitors have said that they have also shared some of the same parallels. Can you relate to any of these?
1. Both grew up in very poor families
3. both exhibited business skills that led to their opening and operating many businesses and to their having a large number of employees working for them
4. both succeeded financially
5. both became attached to accumulating
6. both married and had a family
7. both initially tried to address the Ultimate Sickness with religious teachings but realized that did not work, so both tried to address the Ultimate Sickness with spirituality, only to see eventually that "being spiritual" did not cure the Ultimate Sickness either
8. both then realized that the main problems of humanity center in the mind so both turned to the sharing of psychology and scientific-and-fact-based pointers to free persons of the effects of programming, conditioning, acculturation, domestication, brainwashing and indoctrination
9. both had highly religious wives who were quite displeased with the shift away from religion
10. both had grown to feel empty in spite of all of their "spiritual seeking" and in spite of all of their accumulated "spiritual knowledge"
1. Both grew up in very poor families
2. both moved to populated areas to seek employment opportunities
3. both exhibited business skills that led to their opening and operating many businesses and to their having a large number of employees working for them
4. both succeeded financially

8. both then realized that the main problems of humanity center in the mind so both turned to the sharing of psychology and scientific-and-fact-based pointers to free persons of the effects of programming, conditioning, acculturation, domestication, brainwashing and indoctrination
9. both had highly religious wives who were quite displeased with the shift away from religion
10. both had grown to feel empty in spite of all of their "spiritual seeking" and in spite of all of their accumulated "spiritual knowledge"
11. both began to de-accumulate after
both saw that they could survive quite well on a fraction of the income
they had been making
12. both had wives who were unhappy when the de-accumulation stage was entered and both had wives who became unhappy about their husbands' focus on non-duality and who blamed their unhappiness on no longer having a religious husband (and no longer having a husband who brought in huge sums of money)
13. both eventually came to see that the religious and spiritual states were also ego-states, and both saw that there are far more steps on the "path" to complete after reaching the religious and spiritual steps and after playing those roles which are the third of seven steps on the entire "path"
14. both "lost" their wives (one via "death," the other through divorce);
15. both accelerated their seeking
16. both entered into the "forest dweller stage"
17. both Realized
18. both began to de-accumulate even more
19. both began sharing the teachings
20. for years, both offered satsang

21. both saw that most who hear the teachings are still not going to understand
22. both, therefore, offered pointers without expectation, without attachment to outcome, and without any concern about the way that persons react to hearing Truth
23. both suggested that seekers focus on the exact, step-wise "path

24. both made the decision that whatever amount of the relative existence remains shall be spent in sharing the teachings in the way that has been seen to be the most effective method: not suggesting that there are not enough religious persons; not suggesting that the Ultimate Sickness is caused by being "spiritually-unfit"; but by seeing that the problem centers in the mind (which must come to an end, which it will the moment all beliefs are abandoned)
