Today's Considerations

To review: When Maharaj spoke from the perspective of the universal consciousness, the consciousness guaranteed clear seeing and accurate understanding; therefore, what followed was the consciousness speaking accurately.

When Maharaj spoke early on before transitioning beyond the influence of a not-completely-accurate perspective which was influenced by his guru-bhakti, he was not seeing 100% clearly through his own experience and via his own witnessing but was looking through the eyes of his guru and was parroting the words and experiences of his guru. What followed under those circumstances was not seen from a 100% clear and accurate perspective so what was spoken was not 100% accurate.

The same was the case when he was attracting locals with Hinduism and slipping in non-dual pointers.

The same was the case when he was attracting foreigners and allowing them to influence the content of his talks with the spirituality-based non-dual pointers they desired.

When he said, “I talk to you from the perspective of the universal consciousness” and actually did so, then he was seeing with a 100% clear and accurate perspective and was speaking 100% accurately. It was at that point that he advised readers to stop reading the (religion-based and spirituality-based) talks in I AM THAT and to listen to his later talks. A clear perspective was essential to properly understand that the roots of the Ultimate Sickness are mental and then understand how to compound a proper version of the Ultimate Medicine which can in many cases treat that Sickness.

To review: Perspective is "a way of regarding situations, facts, happenings, etc, and judging their relative importance accurately" (concluding usually that they are all much ado about nothing);

perspective is "the proper or accurate point of view" or "the ability to see objectively and sanely and wisely";

and

perspective is "a particular way of viewing things in a manner that is always diametrically opposite of the way that the masses view things."

Among the Realized, that "vantage point" is the platform of Pure Witnessing. From there, all can be viewed in proper perspective. If something is viewed with a proper perspective, then one can no longer be "fooled" or "foolish" or "a fool." Then natural events will be understood to be natural events, not supernatural events;

natural events will not be believed to be tools used by some "accountant-type power in the universe" who (or that) keeps track of every human's activities on an other-worldly balance sheet and who tracks which people are doing "good things" and which people are doing "bad things" and to whom "disasters must therefore be sent in order to re-balance the karmic energy in the universe."

Magical thinking ends, and with it ends ignorance and insanity.

Why the need for a clear and proper perspective? Because without it, ignorance and insanity prevail. The problem when that is the case? Insanity cannot be compartmentalized.

It is not possible for one to say accurately that “I’m perfectly sane except when it comes to picking partners. I’m totally sane except in the cases where my broken picker kicks in and I pick the crazier people and the bigger jerks and let them into my life.”

No, when there is evidence of insanity in relationships, there is insanity. It differs not at all from pregnancy: either one is pregnant or one is not. Either one is sane, or one is not.

Some claim, “I am sane in every way except when it comes to alcohol” (or any other substance one might be abusing). Not true. If that were the case, one could stop drinking and thereafter never do anything that is destructive or self-destructive or crazy or self-defeating. Yet that is never the case, all claims to the contrary notwithstanding.

When insanity is evident in relationships, further investigation will reveal the presence of financial insanity as well. Further investigation will reveal the presence of, for example, workplace insanity (including either workaholism at one end of the spectrum or task-avoidance and other self-defeating conduct at work at the other end of the spectrum).

Further investigation will reveal insane driving habits; insane ways of interacting with friends and relatives and the public at large; insane ways of deciding what one needs or wants or what one thinks one is entitled to, the cost and one’s fiscal state or an overall weak economy be damned. In fact, further investigation will reveal that everything that is thought and said and done happens from a state of deep sleep even as person's believe that they are fully awake. And to believe that one is awake when one is asleep evidences dreaming if physically asleep or insanity if physically awake.

Once Maharaj came to understand that the Ultimate Sickness is not caused by too little dogma or by some spiritual malady or some sickness of the soul but is caused by mental issues, then he set about offering a version of the Ultimate Medicine that could in many cases address one’s insanity, restore one to sanity, and then free up one from her or his previous insane state when insanity was manifesting in every aspect of one’s life / relative existence.

That is why he made clear that realization is about addressing a sick mind, about eliminating a warped psychological view, about a distorted perspective, about a mind plagued with delusions and illusions, about casting aside all of the content of the mind, about reaching a state of zero concepts, and thereby being restored to sanity . . . completely.

He said that "there is no such thing as peace of mind.” Those with a clear enough perspective to understand what that implies will see that – if it is peace that is sought – then the mind (that it, everything stored in the mind including concepts and ideas and notions and bogus perspectives and misperceptions and distortions and delusions and illusions, a.k.a., “beliefs”) must go.

The prerequisite for sane and sound abidance in all areas of the relative existence? A clear perspective where words and actions are determined by the universal consciousness rather than by the ignorance and insanity which is always passed on to everyone on the planet by way of ignorant and insane programming and conditioning and domestication and acculturation and brainwashing and indoctrination.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
