TODAY’S CONSIDERATIONS
Maharaj: "It is the dance of the conscious presence."
There are nine basic personality types which are in evidence to one degree or another in all persons among the personality-driven masses. With most persons, there is almost always clear evidence that at least three types are showing up in very high levels.
For example, on the personality inventory test used here, a “16” score in a particular type would be an average score and indicates that that personality type is only exerting an average degree of influence on a person’s thoughts and words and actions. If someone has a score of “20” in one of the nine types, it will be clear that that type is exerting considerable influence over one’s thoughts and words and actions. Any type with a score of “21” or higher means that the agenda of that type is likely exerting undue and extensive control over a person’s thoughts and words and actions.
Those who visit this site regularly are aware of what some in the field of mental healthcare call “The Dark Triad,” a term referring to three of the most serious personality disorders of all: The Narcissistic Personality Disorder, The Sociopathic Personality Disorder, and The Psychopathic Personality Disorder.
Of the thousands of personality inventories which have been administered and analyzed here, the test results of those who have exhibited evidence of a significant presence of one or more of “The Dark Triad” disorders will, more often than not, often shows a high score in the Type Eight.
The Type Eight has been identified by various people who are versed in the use of the enneagram personality inventory as “The Asserter,” “The Challenger,” or The Boss”;
if less psychically healthy, those with higher scores in the Type Eight have been identified as “The Confronter” or “The Aggressive Power-Seeker” or “The Lustful One” or “The Vengeance Seeker” or “The Control Freak”; those with even higher scores in the Type Eight and who are clearly psychically unhealthy have been classified as “The Sociopath” or “The Psychopath” or “The Criminal” or “The Ruthless Killer.”
Each of the nine basic personality types can have a propensity to end up in certain careers or certain positions in companies. Obviously, Type Eights will often want to be “The Boss” in any setting. As far as specific “mainstream” jobs go, many judges are Type Eights.
Consider also: Unhealthy Type One Perfectionists share certain common traits with unhealthy Type Eights: both are angry; both have a desire to reform people and / or control “the world”; both are judgmental; both judge others; and both are ready to hand down punishment for those they see as “wrongdoers.”
The difference in the way those two types behave lies in the degree to which their personality type is manifesting and the degree of psychic deterioration or disintegration which exists. All factors equal, the Type One will be willing to exert as much punishment as possible; the Type Eight will try to destroy the one not pleasing the Type Eight or not following orders. The destruction can happen financially, emotionally, in terms of reputation, or – in the most extreme cases – literally.
[Those following the presidential election in the U.S. have available an example of each type: Hillary Clinton is a Type One; Donald Trump is a Type Eight. Those with an understanding of personality will understand which of the two has the highest degree of psychic disintegration and the highest level of mental deterioration.]

In less than two months, many will comment on the fact that the composite unity referred to as “Floyd” will have been manifested for sixty-nine years. In the nearly-seven decades of manifestation, it has been observed that the most unpleasant events which have occurred – ranging from happenings dealing with “Floyd” to happenings which have had an “international impact” - always involved psychically unhealthy, judgmental, controlling, and sociopathic Type Eights.
Of the religious fanatics who have made and distributed videos showing them using knifes to cut off the heads of people, how many of those killers had not previously judged their victims, judged them for having different ("wrong") beliefs, judged them and found them to be “not-as-good-as,” and judged to be “less than”?
Of the husband-wife team who killed 14 people and seriously wounded 22 in San Bernardino, is it not obvious that they had previously judged their victims, judged them for having different ("wrong") beliefs, judged them and found them to be “not-as-good-as,” and judged them to be “less than”?
Of the police in the U.S. who are killing blacks at a rate 2.5 times greater than whites, is it not obvious that they have previously judged their victims, judged them for having different ("wrong") beliefs, judged them and found them to be “not-as-good-as,” and judged to be “less than”?
Of the blacks who are not shooting the police who shot unarmed blacks but are indiscriminately shooting police in general, is it not obvious that they have previously judged their victims, judged them for having different ("wrong") beliefs, judged them and found them to be “not-as-good-as,” and judged to be “less than”?
Of the spouses involved in divorce proceeding who are doing everything within their means to destroy in one way or another their former mates, is it not obvious that they have previously judged their victims, judged them for having different ("wrong") beliefs, judged them and found them to be “not-as-good-as,” and judged to be “less than”?
The scale or degree matters not, whether the discussion is in regards to a “personal,” one-on-one conflict, in regards to attacks against groups in one’s workplace or neighborhood, in regards to attacks happening all across a nation, or in regards to international crises. What matters is that psychically unhealthy persons are judging others and finding them lacking and then striking out at them, disrupting harmony and generating conflict and violence and fighting and mass killings and wars.
And what is at the root of all that? Personality. Personalities which have a propensity to judge. Personalities which have a desire to seek retribution or to punish after having judged.
In the book Dancing Lightly, this is offered for consideration:
JUDGING BLOCKS LIGHTNESS
Whatever persons think they are seeing outside themselves is never what actually is.
Rather than judging others, better to examine yourself, your false selves.
If that happens, then one of several things might follow:
1. There will be a resonance triggered within. You may not know Truth, but you will know that you are hearing pointers to Truth.
2. There might be no immediate resonating within, but if you stay long enough to be guided through a process of self-examination rather than teacher-examination, that resonance may manifest eventually.
3. You fail to hear what your ego-states want to hear, so you continue to seek and search, often seeking the bigger name teacher who surely has the bigger, better method.
Maharaj: "The ordinary man is personally concerned. He counts his risks and chances, while the jnani remains aloof, sure that all will happen as it must; and it does not matter much what happens, for ultimately the return to balance and harmony is inevitable. The heart of things is at peace."
and
"You create disharmony and then complain! When you desire and fear, and identify yourself with your feelings, you create sorrow and bondage. When you create with Love and wisdom, and remain unattached to your creations, the result is harmony and peace. But whatever be the condition of your mind, in what way does it reflect on you? It is only your self-identification with your mind that makes you happy or unhappy. Rebel against your slavery to your mind, see your bonds as self-created, and break the chains of attachment and revulsion. Keep in mind your goal of freedom until it dawns on you that you are already free, that freedom is not something in the distant future to be earned with painful efforts but perennially one's own, to be used! Liberation is not an acquisition but a matter of courage, the courage to believe that you are free already and to act on it."
and
"True awareness (samvid) is a state of pure witnessing without the least attempt to do anything about the event witnessed. Your thoughts and feelings, words and actions may also be a part of the event; you watch all unconcerned in the full light of clarity and understanding."
However, the inner guru is drowned out and cannot be heard when the inner voices of false selves are shouting instructions and directions which can guide one to the edge of the cliff . . . and over.
Yet neither Maharaj nor Floyd has ever pulled anyone from the brink. Only pointing has ever happened: "Over there is solid ground; in the direction you are headed is a cliff and relative suffering. Which way shall you go now?"
If light is to be cast, the teacher must walk at times into the disharmonious darkness where the light is being called for. Will the teacher physically grab the one walking toward the edge of the cliff in darkness and try to force that one to turn? Of course not.
But will the teacher continue to offer the light? To a point, yes. As long as the prospect remains that one is at least willing to allow the teacher to continue to shine the light at the edge of the cliff, the teacher will stay as long as required. If one turns her / his back on the teacher and the light, then the teacher can, and shall, only witness what happens. Might the end results sometimes lead the teacher to feel sadness? Yes. Is that an indicator of “non-realization”? Hardly.
Maharaj: "Beyond the ‘I am’ there is the immensity of light and Love. We do not see it because we look elsewhere; I can only point at the sky; seeing of the star is your own work. Some take more time before they see the star, some take less; it depends on the clarity of their vision and their earnestness in search. These two must be their own - I can only encourage."
According to Maharaj, few who ever visited the loft truly “got it” . . . truly came to an understanding which freed them completely of the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which he identified as “ignorance, stupidity and insanity.” Few who visited Maharaj, per his assessment, were ever truly freed from the influence of the hidden agendas of the multiple personalities which drive human’s thoughts and words and actions and which rob persons of any ability to make conscious and sane and wise choices.
Yet in spite of such poor results, he still continued to offer non-dual pointers to the end of the manifestation. The same may happen here.
Will there ever follow a wholesale shift among those being driven by ignorance and insanity? No. Organized religions have been around for 5000+ years. With all those years of trying to change the world, has religion succeeded? No.
Presently 97% of the people on planet earth report they are involved with one organized religion or another. With 97% involved, can it been said that those 97% are the ones who have been freed from believing in their learned ignorance? No.
Can it be said that the 97% involved in one of the organized religions on the planet are most assuredly the sane ones on planet earth? Absolutely not.
What about spirituality and spiritual programs? Do they have a “success rate” which justifies their claims that they have found the answer? Obviously not.
On the other hand, might such a shift happen in a few cases with those who come to a non-dual understanding? It has been seen to happen.
The fact: most will require professional help but will never seek it. Of the few who do, most of those will not be ready and willing to take the necessary steps to be restored to mental health or most will not find anyone who is competent and able to lead them to that restoration to sanity even if their clients are 100% willing. So it is.
At any rate, best regards are offered to any who choose to stop seeking the same nonsense which the masses have been programmed and conditioned to seek and who determine instead to seek that which actually needs to be sought, namely . . .
freedom from learned ignorance
and
freedom from personality
and
freedom from the insane manner of thinking and talking and behaving which is imposed from early on by the adults one lived with and by the culture in which one continues to live.
To be continued.
Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
