TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

So what other different perspectives exist here? One different perspective required if full realization is to happen involves understanding what "the journey" really entails. To continue with excerpts from the book A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE via the Non-Duality Teachings and the Nisarga Yoga:

When "the journey" is mentioned, few understand that there are actually three legs to that "journey." The first is the "coming in" leg whereby the conscious-energy manifests and whereby the consciousness is soon blocked from seeing truth and reality as a result of programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, indoctrination, and brainwashing.

The second leg of the "journey" happens among the few that find a Realized teacher and are truly ready and truly willing to allow that teacher to guide them along the "path" to Full Realization. Depending on which of the five teaching methods any given teacher uses, that second of three legs can be mistaken for "the end of the journey" by some seekers and their teachers.

Then those misguided seekers will believe:

a. that they shall remain "there"

and

b. that they shall be whatever new and superior being that they have become or shall believe (dualistically)

and

c. that they have merged with this or that (or This or That) - that an "A" has dualistically merged with a "B"

and

d. that they have become something Supreme

or

e. that they have "finally recognized that Supreme Whatever which they have always been"

and

f. that they will no longer have to deal with anything relative.

They abandon the "I AM" part of the summative statement "I AM THAT; I AM" and believe that they are THAT alone, far removed from the AM-ness . . . from the IS-ness . . . from the present beingness. For the few that cross paths not with "a Realized One" but with "a realized nisargan," then they will be shown that they have only completed two-thirds of the "journey."

They will be shown that they are to "return" to the relative by undertaking another "coming in" leg of the three-leg "journey"; however, this time they will have been purged of all of the nonsensical beliefs and distorted ideas and dreamed-up-but-false concepts and myth-based dogma that constitute the learned ignorance that was forced upon them during the initial "coming in phase" of the first leg of their "journey."

On the third leg of the "journey," which is a "coming back in again" or "returning" leg, they will "return" to the relative but will not "buy into" even a single belief or idea or concept or piece of dogma; instead, they will overlay Reality on reality . . . will overlay the Absolute (and the understanding of the functioning of the totality) on the remainder of the relative manifestation and will, as a result, abide freely and independently and sanely and naturally and logically and spontaneously and peacefully.

They will understand what AS IF living is like, and they will abide only AS IF anything matters. Responsibilities will still be met, and the basic requirements of the relative existence shall still be addressed, and both love and Love can happen. No roles are assumed yet the relative existence rolls right along.

(For example, a man might marry and then "husbanding" might happen, but there will be no belief that he is "A Husband," much less "The Super Husband." The same can happen with "wifing" as opposed to playing the role of "The Wife" or "The Super Wife.")

And they shall understand why it is that - at the "worldly level" - persons believe that everything they see is actually as they see it and as they perceive (and misperceive) it; but the realized will know that in Reality, nothing is as it appears. They will function at the zero concepts level and at the no-identity level and at the no-duality level and at the Pure Witnessing level. Why?

Because all will be understood to be nothing more than a mere movement in consciousness, and because the consciousness will not always be there, then that which is a mere movement in consciousness will not always be there, either. What is real is forever, so what is not real can be discounted, minimized, and given no more weight than it deserves, relatively speaking. That understanding - and the subsequent freedom and peace - can only come when abidance happens not as the ever-in-motion consciousness but as the still and calm and pure Awareness-That-Is-Aware, post-realization.

Yet post-manifestation, the awareness shall again be the awareness that is not aware of (as was the case prior to manifestation and coming to the understanding), so even that "identity" is not fixed; hence, "I am nothing" comes first, giving way eventually to not even accepting "nothing" as an identity. That is another perspective here that is different from the perspective held by most, yet it is not accompanied by any judgment of those with differing perspectives. Just as the teacher's new pair of glasses allows for clear, non-distorted, Pure Witnessing, that same pair of glasses also allows for a non-partial witnessing as well of

(A) persons who are still clinging to their beliefs and concepts and ideas,

and of

(B) persons who are assuming a "good" or "lofty" identity to replace their formerly assumed "bad" or "lowly" identities. So it is.

Next, the invitation offered via this series is to understand that the "fully realized" are no different from anyone who visits this site. That includes the actually realized; the non-realized who are seeking; the non-realized who are not seeking; and those claiming realization who think they have completed the entire "journey" but have not. The only possible difference among all of those is in perspective, so, again, certain perspectives here that might differ from perspectives held by "others" are being shared for consideration and - possibly - for further enlightenment.

Over the last twenty-two years, it has been asked thousands of times of the thousands of seekers or inquirers who have made contact here, "Is it possible that everything you have ever been told or taught or now believe is false?"

The perspective with most? No. The perspective here? Yes. The fact: whatever any seeker has ever concluded that she / he understands, that is not the truth. The truth can be known but not stated. Any statement of supposed truth is a statement of non-truth. Is that a different perspective from the one you have held? Some teachers assign mantras. Here, no mantras have ever been assigned.

[Following his guru's orders, Maharaj assigned mantras early on; later, he abandoned the practice.]

One of the more popular mantras over the years with some teachers and seekers has been "I AM." The rationale of the assignment was sound to the degree that the plan was to condition seekers to stop placing any word(s) after the phrase "I am," such as, "I am . . . a spouse"; "I am . . . a lover"; "I am . . . an employee"; etc. To stop at "I AM" might have had the intended effect, or not. Yet here, once a fact is known, the question to be considered is, "Is there really a need to repeat constantly what is a recognized and totally-understood fact?"

Consider how many times you have heard someone declare, "That person's nuts!" or "That person's crazy!" or "He / she is the most insane person I have ever met!" Once you see that the masses are insane, is there any need to reaffirm that conclusion multiple times per day? It's a fact. Be done with it and turn the focus to yourself, to your selves. Heal thyself, for those "others" are not coming to you for healing. They are moving about in their sleep, in their dream, and to be awakened requires that they be shaken, and they actually have no desire at all to be shaken by you. So it is.

Address the only insanity that you can address: your own. And as one need not point out the insanity of humanity over and over and over again, do you really need to remind yourself all day long, "I am, I am, I am"? No other living thing - no deer, no bird, no fish - has ever forgotten that it IS.

The manifested consciousness knows automatically that it is. So relax. Take it easy.

It is the silence - not chanting, humming, singing, shouting, bell ringing, reciting mantras, reciting prayers in unison, or incessant talking - which will better serve the seeker of peace.

[It just might be that the most "spiritual" pointer you will ever hear is, "Will you please just shut up, if only for a few minutes? Can you do that? Can you just be quiet, even if only for a little while?" That's a very different perspective, yes? Especially in noisy Western cultures where it is freedom of speech - rather than freedom from speech - that is so highly regarded.]

Is that a different perspective from the one you have held? Speaking of different perspectives and spirituality, there are those who report that they are seeking "spiritual growth." They may as well seek the will-of-the-wisp, a unicorn, sasquatch, fish eggs in the sky, and a bird's nest on the bottom of a sea.

How could "spirit" - whatever that is supposed to be - grow? That is duality, to seek to move from one level to another higher level. What dualistic concept is more widespread around the globe than the concept of "hierarchies"? Maharaj said, "You will get maturity quickly if you would stay put in your 'nothingness'."

Children loves to play games where they assume roles. The mature play no roles, accept no roles. That includes the roles of "The Spiritually-Mature One" or "The Super Religious One" or "The Spiritual Giant" (all of whom are tortured constantly by the all-pervasive throngs of "spiritual pygmies" that have to be dealt on a daily basis.

Talk about a "false-self"-imposed crisis.) Is that a different perspective from the one you have held? Yes, there are two witnessing stages: the Subject-Object Witnessing stage and the Pure Witnessing (True Self) stage; yet even focusing on witnessing and / or on Witnessing is doingness. The uninterrupted peace comes when even observing comes to an end, for to observe is to inspire concluding, and concluding can inspire judging or analyzing or thinking.

Where is the rest and peace in any of that? As with the widespread insanity observable on the planet, widespread observing and witnessing of the actions of "others" - and then dealing with all that accompanies such activities - will prevent uninterrupted freedom and peace. Once you know that what you observe is not as it appears anyway, wherefore observe and witness and register more and more information? Is that a different perspective from the one you have held?

The perspectives here, in the end, have not come from any special or supposedly "holy" literature; from any outer guru (including Maharaj); or from any source other than "My Own Experience" and "My Own Vision." Yet, there have been "catalysts" which facilitated the blooming of the understanding and the freedom-bringing, peace-sustaining perspectives that accompany the understanding; therefore, these considerations are shared as potential catalysts for seekers so that they might have "Their Own Experience" that will also lead to the understanding and to freedom and to peace.

[And what were those "catalysts"? They were words spoken from the perspective of the universal consciousness and the aware awareness.]

In the end, the Truth that cannot be stated can be known, within. Sometimes, all that is required is for a cool breeze to blow away the last clouds which are obstructing the Light.

Sometimes, storms are needed because so many blockages and obstacles have been set in place by programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, indoctrination and brainwashing. That is why here, either gentle breezes or severe storms might be unleashed, depending on each seeker's circumstances.

And so that is as well.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
