TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

Next, consider:

Why, when I walk through the woods, do birds fly away when I approach? Why do squirrels scurry away? Why do the deer in this neighborhood - conditioned to normalize contact with humans - nevertheless run away and hide in the brush if they are approached too closely by humans?

all of that happens because of one property of the conscious-energy, namely, its desire for continuity. That happens with all non-human living things, and humans are the same.

Humans / non-realized persons want to be forever, and if someone tells them that they can be forever, and tells them they can show them the way to be forever and the way to be rewarded forever, then humans will listen to those persons and will believe their words.

And that leads to reason #12 among the explanations about why persons are willing to follow no-end "paths," to engage in - and to stay engaged in - a life-long "journey" which never reaches a destination, and to settle for life-long treatment plans which offers no cure.

12. Persons are willing to follow no end "paths," to engage in - and to stay engaged in - a life-long "journey" which never reaches a destination, and to settle for life-long treatment plans which offers no cure because of the desires and the fears of their assigned and assumed personalities. That includes the desire for the eternal continuity of the manifest consciousness; the desire for the eternal continuity of the elemental plant body and the mind;

the desire for the body-mind-personality to be forever and to experience forever eternal rewards and bliss and / or an eternal life in a brothel with "x"-number of wives, "x"-number of whores, and "x"-number of virgins; or the fear of eternal punishment; or the fear of being deprived of the chance to participate in eternal orgies; or the fear of being punished / burned / etc. for eternity.

Some know that when I was dealing with internal hemorrhaging and with under-performing lungs and with a life-long, genetic heart defect all at the same time, it brought a new level of sickness not experienced before. When one of my many doctors began discussing the "proper attitude" that would be needed to deal with all of that, I made clear that there was no belief that "any kind of miserable life is better than no life." He was shocked. During his thirty years of practice, he had never heard that before, ever.

Consider most persons, however, who are driven as blindly and as unconsciously as scared birds, alarmed squirrels, and frightened deer. They exhibit the belief . . .

"I am so driven by the desire for the uninterrupted continuity of the consciousness that I will follow any path that is available if I'm convinced it can lead to that continuity.

Moreover, "the path" or "the journey" or the way" involved with the search for eternal continuity of the conscious-energy which is being followed is usually the one that was passed down by one's parents.

Hindu parents typically spawn Hindu children; Catholic parents typically spawn Catholic children; Protestant parents typically spawn Protestant children; Pentecostal parents who claim to be able to speak in supposedly "unknown tongues" and who roll around on the floors of their churches in emotionally-intoxicated states typically spawn Pentecostal children who also eventually around the floor of their churches in emotionally-intoxicated states; and Muslim parents typically spawn Muslim children;

and parents who are followers of the Jewish religion typically spawn children who are followers of the Jewish religion; and parents who were willing-to-drink-the-fatal-Kool-Aid members of the Jim Jones Peoples Temple typically spawned children who were willing-to-drink-the-fatal-Kool-Aid members of the Jim Jones Peoples Temple.

Now there - as in the case of all programmed and conditioned persons who are exactly like those cited in the previous paragraph - was a group of persons who were willing to blindly follow a "path" and to blindly take a "journey" which led (as all endless "paths" and "journeys" do) to nowhere other than to being misled and being trapped in illusions and delusions and being immersed more and more deeply into states which never lead to "being in touch with reality / Reality" but which, to the contrary, lead person to be farther and farther removed from reality and Reality.

Here, when I looked at the option of following the teachings of the religion which my parents exposed me to (and imposed upon me by exposing me to the daily doings and the weekly doings and the monthly doings and the annual doings and the intended-to-be-lifetime-doings of that religion), I got a sick feeling in my stomach.

Yet the consciousness had been too blocked to immediately develop a new and different perspective which said, "To hell with all paths." The best that the blocked consciousness could come up with at that point was, "Find a new and different . . . "path."

The false identity of "The Seeker" came into full bloom and - as is always the case with assumed identities - upgraded and self-promoted itself and became "The Super Seeker." That led to the following of a long and arduous "path," to say the least.

The laborious and grueling “journey” of the lead character Kirk (“floyd”) was described this way in the non-duality-based adventure-mystery book entitled THE TWICE-STOLEN NECKLACE MURDERS

 “In his energy-consuming search for salvation, he’d been dipped, dunked, sprayed, spayed, sprinkled, and neutered; in the quest for truth, he’d been blessed, cursed, cussed, lectured, scolded, and praised; in his pursuit of Life’s Meaning, he’d been communion’d, Om’d, grape-juiced, wined, ahsram’d, accepted, rejected, Mu’d, and yoga’d; in his chase for service-work-opportunities, he’d been pulverized, martinized, and frappéd; and in the endeavor to attain Life Eternal, he’d been baptized, Buddha’d, New Aged, powwow’d, Far Eastern Indianized, incense’d, sage’d, Tao’d, Peru’d, Tibet’d, washed in the blood, dunked in the waters, and purportedly purified. Then in the end, each of the religious or spiritual leaders had always charged him a percentage of his total income for the whole sorry treatment, plus a building-fund-tax and a foreign-missions-surcharge to boot—all in spite of the complete ineffectiveness of their claims to ‘redeem and save’.”

When did all of that endless seeking and nonsensical spiritual workaholism and endless going and doing and zooming finally stop? When did all of that uninterrupted, nonstop, incessant, constant, ceaseless seeking end?

A. First, when it was seen that in all of those venues, in all religions, in all spiritual groups and movements, in all philosophies, and in all ideologies, the people there were wanting to teach me more and wanting me to learn more and more and more.

They were all advocating accumulation. And even in the venues where de-accumulation was being endorsed, the people there did not apply that to knowledge accumulation and to the accumulation of more and more learned ignorance.

And

B. secondly, when this was seen: "Damn! THAT's the whole problem. The entire problem has been that everywhere I've ever searched, they wanted to teach me and wanted me to learn whatever it was that they believed and wanted to teach, but no one had ever suggested that I actually needed to be un-taught and that I actually needed to un-learn it all."

Nowadays, I ask seekers, "Is it possible that everything you have ever been told or read or heard was false?" Why? Because that is what I had to ask of myself - of my false selves: "Wait a minute. "Is it possible that everything I have ever been told or read or heard was false?"

Reading Maharaj's later talks, he spoke of that truth, saying that the problem centers in the mind and the mind must come to an end by reaching a state of zero concepts, a state in which there is no longer a belief in even a single concept, idea, notion, perception, view etc. which has being clung to for many years.

So Maharaj suggested functioning under the auspices of the natural brain without being driven and controlled by the content of the supernatural / spiritual mind or the unnatural mind. "But how?" I asked.

Then it came into consciousness: all concepts, ideas, notions, perceptions, views, etc. can be combined and referred to with one word: "beliefs." So it I would be free of being driven and controlled by all of that "stuff" in my mind, the easier - and only - way to be rid of it would be to simply give up all beliefs. Wow! Simple! Done! End of seeking. End of searching. End of religious and spiritual workaholism.

And that led to the return to a spontaneous and natural fashion of abidance which last happened during the Child Ignorance Stage or the Child No-Knowing State when unconditional happiness happened until ignorant and insane programming, conditioning, acculturation, domestication, brainwashing and indoctrination put a halt to that kind of happiness.

Now the consideration is this:

Are any out there who are (a) presently playing the role of "The Super Seeker" or who are (b) unconsciously trapped in the role of "The Super Seeker"? Has it yet passed across the screen of consciousness to at least consider,

"Is it possible that 'The Super Seeker' is as much a phony role as 'The Super Gangsta' or 'The Contract Killer' or 'The Super Religious One' or 'The Spiritual Giant'?"

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
