Mistaking "love" for "Love"
The key consideration for today:
Just
one or two statements can lead to one or two beliefs which end up
controlling and determining one's thoughts and words and actions
throughout an entire lifetime.
AN EXAMPLE OF A MALE WHOSE PROGRAMMING AND ACCULTURATION LED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MONOMANIA AROUND RACE-BASED "love" and "hate"
Example #1: Regular visitors to the site are familiar with Dylann Roof, a white supremacist and neo-Nazi and supporter of the KKK ideology who - in June of 2015 - entered a church with mostly black members and killed nine people.
He had grown up in Columbia, South Carolina. South Carolina is high on the list of "The Most Racist States in the U.S.," assuring that Roof would end up adopting the duality-based belief system which is popular among so many whites in that state who believe and teach that they are different from and better than blacks and that they must love their race and hate those who are members of any different race.
AN EXAMPLE OF TWO FEMALE WHOSE PROGRAMMING AND CONDITIONING GAVE THEM THE BELIEF THAT RELATIONSHIPS AND "love" ARE MERELY TOOLS TO BE USED TO MANIPULATE OTHERS TO MEET THEIR NEEDS AND PROVIDE AN "ABOVE-AVERAGE LIFESTYLE"
Example #2: A woman raised in Texas in a town near the Mexico border is now in her late 60's. She told me about an occasion when she was seventeen and approached her father and asked about going to college.
His reply was: "That would be a total waste of my money. You and your sister are both good looking and have great figures and can use those to find a man to take care of you."
Example #3: I met another adult woman who was raised in rural Kentucky and who developed an addiction to needle-injected drugs when she was thirteen years old when her mother began shopping her around among the males in their community and prostituting her daughter to boys and men in their area.
[It has been noted here on many occasions that the ignorance which presently dominates the U.S. culture and which also dominates other cultures all around the globe is more-often-than-not transmitted via the nonsensical programming, conditioning, etc. which has been passed down from one generation to the next; thus, seekers here are advised that they need not learn more but are invited to un-learn all that has been passed down by their ancestors or passed along by persons in their culture.]
When I met the Kentucky woman fifteen years after she left her family and her users and her abusers in Kentucky, she was by then in her late 20's. She is still using needle-injected drugs.
As for the Texas woman whose father refused to send her and her sister to college, he did not advise her in the same way as the mother in Kentucky who had her daughter bring home money by having sex with dozens of men per month.
His plan for his daughters was a slightly-modified version of that used by the mother in Kentucky: He said, "Use your looks to find a man to pay your bills and take care of you."
In other words, "You don't have to be a prostitute and have sex with multiple men every month. Just give sex to one well-to-do man in order to get him to take care of you."
Her mother's "love" and relationship advice: "Once you have a man, manipulate him with love. Use love wisely and your needs will always be met." (The irony: the girls' father has an affair with another women, left that mother, and married his affair partner.)
The result of all that no0nsnese around "love" rather than understanding Love?
The Texas father and the Kentucky mother both gave their daughters the same advice with one exception:
The Texas father: "A man is a plan."
The Kentucky mother: "Many men are the plan."
The Texas daughter now in her mid-60's has followed the advice of her father and mother "to a 'T'" throughout her entire life. When I met her, she was still quoting her father's and mother's advice, believing, "It's worked great for me."
She "improved her lot in life" to the degree that each man she has married was richer than the last. All of the men involved with her have been pulled in by her looks and allowed themselves to be manipulated,
(I crossed paths with the current husband who told me, "Things are going great - I just follow The Commander's orders.")
As for men who go along with such acts, they have their own set of programming-and-acculturation-induced issues, functioning as they do with their caveman mentally and Neanderthal value system:
"Ugh. Eye candy look good. That eye candy is for sale. Me buy that eye candy."
"Ugh, Me image is improved if have woman on my arm that all men in tribe think is beautiful."
"Ugh, woman build me up when I bring home more mammoth meat than any of the other males. I top alpha male in our clan. Ugh, ugh, double ugh."
Note that while programming, conditioning, etc. can last throughout an entire relative existence and might well expose persons to thousands upon thousands of concepts and ideas and beliefs, the fact is that just one or two statements can lead to one or two beliefs which end up controlling and determining one's thoughts and words and actions throughout an entire lifetime.
The role of the non-dual teacher is to lead persons to freedom, specifically to freedom from suffering which requires being freed from the ignorance and insanity of the Ultimate Sickness.
A key obstacle to being freed?
Just one belief offered by an authority figure and accepted early on can subconsciously determine and control what a person does throughout a lifetime. When that is the case, the task of de-programming is ultimately challenging.
Few, in fact, will ever be free of their dominate and domineering beliefs. Moreover, few will ever understand that their most dominate and domineering beliefs are rooted in
(1) religion and / or spirituality
and in
(2) their misguided notions about "relationships" and "love."
So it is, but so it need not be.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."

"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
