TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS
ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. [See the offer following this post for details on how you can watch a retreat on video which includes a detailed discussion of all seven of the steps on the path as used by Maharaj]
2. Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns. See the end of the post for the full meaning and implications of that.
3. A new video ("Number Ten: Awakening Together Satsang, March 2018") has now been added in the far right column of this page, offering the opportunity to view a recent 2018 satsang session with Floyd being interviewed by Regina and Jacqueline of "The Awakening Together Group."
THE SEEDS OF DUALITY WHICH PRODUCE DUALITY'S PROGENY:
Offspring Number Seventeen-
A Rejection of Maharaj's Invitation to Abide in the Eternal Now.
When Maharaj suggested to seekers that they "awaken to the Eternal," (to that which is Eternal) the suggestion was intended to open the door to several understandings:
1. That which is eternal can also manifest temporarily during the relative existence.
2. That which is eternal is energy-matter.
3. Except for "that which is eternal" (energy-matter) and which can manifest temporarily during the relative existence, nothing else manifested during the relative can or will be eternal.
4. Energy-matter is eternal because it cannot be created and cannot be destroyed. That alone is what it was, is, and shall be. What is real is only energy-matter. That which is not real and will not be eternal is all else which is involved with the relative existence but is not energy-matter.
5. That which is eternal does not change; that which is not the real always changes . . . is always in flux.Such as? Identities, roles, relationships among persons, states, nations, etc.
6. If one would have clarity and peace, it can only happen by abiding in the Eternal Now, in the present moment.
Not in the past? No. Nor in the future? No.
Back in 2005 when I was still offering satsang sessions, I shared the following on this site:
“A woman in one group reported that she had suffered for years from a perceived loss. The man she claimed to love had left. She suffered most, she said, when she thought of the ‘wonderful’ times they’d shared in the past and all the things they’d done that they would never do again. She mourned the future events that now would never take place. So our conversation went something like this:
F.: “So those are your thoughts about past events and future events. Would you be willing to set those aside temporarily in order to consider something I can offer?”
Woman: “Sure.”
F.: “In spite of all the suffering you speak of, I want to know this: right now, at this very moment . . . are you okay?”
Woman: “Yeah, I guess so.”
F.: “No. No guessing. Right now, in this very instant, aren’t you actually okay?”
Woman: “Right now, for this second, yes.”
F.: “Fine. So what about now?”
Woman.: “Yes, for now I’m okay.”
F.: “And what about now. Are you still okay right now?”
Woman.: [Beginning to laugh] “Yes, right now I’m okay.”
F.: “What about the future? Are you going to be okay?”
Woman: “I don’t have a clue.”
F.: “Well, I do, but you never will, unless you realize. You can never have a clue about the future, for it’s the false imagining of a corrupted mind. But leave that for a moment and tell me . . . aren’t you still okay, at least for right now?”
Woman: [Laughing] “Enough!”
F.: “Enough? Are you sure? [Pause] Do you understand?”
Woman: “I understand your point. The only time I can feel okay is right now, never when my mind is thinking about the past or the future.”
F.: “Go home and sit in the quiet with your last words. Stay with those words. Don’t seek a super-conscious state. Stay aware of those words and contemplate upon them.”
Woman: “I will. Goodbye. And thanks.”
Next, before discussing the ways of the non-realized, understand how Maharaj defined the members of that group: they are merely persons who have never been freed from their belief in the learned ignorance which they were taught by their ignorance-driven programmers, conditioners, accumulators, domesticators, brainwashers, and indoctrinators.
So to continue with that understanding of what "non-realized means":
The non-realized long either for "the good ole days" or for "better future days which will be more like the good ole days."
They hate anything deemed to be progressive.
They hate the changes which have happened.
They hate change, period, unless it involves changing in a backwards direction, going back.
When asked to specify a time when America was its greatest, the current leader of the conservative, love-the-ole-days Republican Party in the U.S. cited a time before slavery was eliminated. Revealing, yes?
In 2016, 81 percent of white evangelicals in the U.S. supported that party's candidates, citing "fear for the future" and "nostalgia for the past, when people and things were better." Their belief is that the U.S., and the world, needs to return to the way things and people were the past.
Recently, their party's leader endorsed the concept of "nostalgia" as one of the most positive of all ideas.
First, the silliness of clinging to things in the past - which non-realized persons are so nostalgic about and which they idealize so much - is this:
Those persons do not have and have never had an ability to see things clearly and accurately. When witnessing anything nowadays, they cannot differentiate between true and false, so whatever they witnessed years ago and stored in their memory was not seen clearly. And what was not seen clearly then cannot be recalled in a clear, accurate fashion now. The same is true for what they were told about "the good ole days." It's all a lie.
Wishing for past things is wishing for something that was nothing like what non-realized persons think it was like.
Additionally, wishing for future things to be a certain way is another waste of time and energy. Consider:
What persons fear about the future seldom comes to past, and what does come to past - and what does knock them off their feet - they never saw coming . . . they never anticipated that at all.
What is in the relative existence can only be seen clearly and accurately right now, if realized. What was in the relative existence was not seen clearly then and cannot be seen clearly now. What is to be in the future cannot be seen clearly now and - once the masses arrive in that "future time" - what they see then will not be seen clearly and accurately either.
Maharaj: "The nature of the perfect mirror is such that you cannot see it. Whatever you can see is bound to be a stain. Turn away from it, give it up, know it as unwanted."
Moreover, there can be no peace when desiring the part or fearing the future. There can only be peace NOW. Thus Maharaj said,
"You cannot see the true unless you are at peace."
In fear and desire (both of which are the products of the agendas of personalities / personal-but-false-identifications) truth cannot be seen; instead, when driven by fears and desires, lies are seen and mistaken for the truth.
Those who hate are miserable, and those who hate the present - who
cannot understand and enjoy the eternal now - will be the most
miserable.
Wishing for the past, again? Then you are wishing for a mirage, a lie, a misperception - all of which is as false and as misperceived as such duality-based concepts as "power" and "great" and "greatness" and "exceptionalism" and "superiority" and all of the rest of the ego-and-egotism-based nonsense which the non-realized dream up to make themselves (their "selves") feel good and special and supreme.
What the non-realized would like to make great again was never great in the first place.
Wishing that certain desires will be fulfilled in the future? Then you are wishing for something dreamed up by a false identity.
Fear of the future and a desire for the past are the stuff of the Ultimate Sickness. They are, therefore, (just as Maharaj noted) the stuff of "ignorance and stupidity and insanity."
To be continued.

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.
THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places but are states of mind, nothing more than concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings
which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
