QUOTATION #8 (Continued)
"I say there is no darkness but ignorance."
This was shared yesterday:
The path of darkness and ignorance is broad. The path to the light, on the other hand, is narrow … traveled by so few. So it is. But how shall it be with you . . . with You? Darkness . . . or Light? Ignorance . . . or awareness?
Also,
Maharaj shared - in various ways - the pointer that persons who have been programmed, conditioned, fooled, etc. will reach a point where they will be unable to differentiate the true from the false.
He made clear that the masses, trapped as they are in ignorance and insanity, “talk only of the unreal, the illusory, the transient, the conditioned.”
Since 1969, I have been certified to teach 100-level and 200-level psychology courses in colleges and universities in all fifty states.
During the intervening years, there have been changes in teacher license reciprocity rules and changes in the ways that the granting of reciprocity has been subject to meeting various state-specific requirements.
Certain states added demanding requirements for the completion of additional course work; other states withdrew their reciprocity offers, only to expand those offers during periods of teacher shortage. For years after that, less restrictive reciprocity criteria became the norm.
The death or debilitation of hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens occurred during the Vietnam War, resulted in the additional loss of potential employees in many fields; during those times, license reciprocity became a near-automatic, no-additional-requirements process; thus, when I moved to another state in the 1970’s, my certification was accepted without any stipulations or limitations.
Over the years, a variety of occupations I held led to my using the instruments in my “psychology toolkit” as I worked with more and more persons who were seeking “change” or “growth” or “an understanding” about the causes of their relationship problems or their "living problems."
I began using personality inventory tests and conducted result analyses with persons to give them insight into the ways that personality identifications were controlling their thoughts and words and actions and setting them up for all sorts of relative disasters.
The personality testing and results analyses, continuing to this day, have allowed many to see which personality disorders were manifesting, which were reaching the levels of full-blown neuroses, and which were reaching the level of full-blown psychoses.
I have, over the years, worked with thousands of persons whose problems were centered in their minds and have been able to show them, on an exact scale, to what degree their personality disorders are manifesting and disrupting their relative existence as well as the existence of persons trying to deal with them.
To this day, the use of that personality inventory and the use of the follow-up analysis has cast light into the darkness of their psyche and allowed them to see what has been at the root of their problems.
The “fit” with those seeking via a non-dual approach and also completing a thorough personality analysis has provided significant awareness to many.
This September will mark the fiftieth year since I began working with persons to try to free them of the effects of the ignorance and the insanity which has been imposed upon them by their relatives and by their cultures.
I have shared that one of my uncles was the chief administrator of the largest facility ever in the state of Texas to house the “criminally-insane,” and interactions with and observations of some of the “inmates” there were revealing.
I have also worked in treatment centers where most persons were there as a result of court-orders. In-depth work with hundreds of those people has also been revealing.
In all of those thousands of cases where I dealt one-on-one with persons in the general population who were seeking change or understanding, and observed the persons incarcerated in what was then called “an insane asylum,” and dealt one-on-one with the persons sent to a treatment center by a judge, I observed that they all shared certain characteristics in common.
Those characteristics?
A warped perspective;
a tendency to interrupt everything they heard or saw or read in a 180-degreee opposite fashion;
a tendency to see black as white and white as black;
a propensity for being fooled;
a willingness to believe persons who were as ignorant or insane as they were;
a tendency to reject what they heard from persons who were not totally ignorant or insane;
and
a “predator mentality” with a view that one is “either the hunter or the hunted, and pride in being the hunter.”
I met a man in the 1980’s who lived on the streets and under bridges and in cardboard boxes in a mid-size city in Louisiana. He told me that he only came out at night to forage for scraps of food and to try to talk someone else into sharing their drug supply with him or to steal something that he could pawn for cash in order to buy drugs.
He told me that he “hated the light,” that he “felt vulnerable in the light,” and that he had lived in the darkness for so long that he “had developed an excellent skill set, the skill set of a feral cat.”
Like many others, I saw that he was much more afraid of the light than the dark.
He proudly compared himself to a leopard and to the other nocturnal animals in Africa that are predators and that like to hunt under the cover of darkness.
Moreover, he really thought he "had his act together." He had not the slightest willingness to consider any alternatives which were different from the lifestyle that he said "was working great for him.”
And the criminally-insane people in the facility where my uncle worked felt the same way.
And the people bidding their time in a treatment center where a judge had sent them felt the same way.
Their warped minds had all “normalized the abnormal.” Now, they cannot differentiate between the true and the false.
They prefer the darkness to the light, even though that is diametrically opposite the message passed down via archetypal images (the highly developed elements of what Jung called “the collective unconscious”) which have been passed down genetically from one generation to the next and which are intended to contribute to “the survival of the species.”
Archetypes are based in the collective experiences of humankind, a way for ancestors to send either intuitive warnings (about what has worked against the interests of the survival of the species) or to send an endorsement of what has worked in the interests of the survival of the species.
Hence, these archetypal pairings carry an intuitive message about . . .
“WHAT HELPS” vs. “WHAT DOES NOT HELP”:
light vs. darkness
up vs. down
logic vs. irrationality
wisdom vs. stupidity
love vs. hate
unity vs. separation and division
peace vs. chaos and fighting
Some political rallies nowadays are marked by the sharing of considerations which point toward the light and endorse logic and wisdom and love and unity and peace.
Other political rallies nowadays are marked by statements which inspire darkness, irrationality, stupidity, hatred, division, and fighting.
The same has happened throughout human history. The wise and loving historically have sought that which unites. The ignorant have sought that which divides. There, in a nutshell, is one of the major duality vs. non-duality options.
Moreover, politicians and would-be leaders have long understood that nothing can inspire their supporters to follow them more than a fear of the light and a preference for the darkness and hatred and division and fighting.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

concepts dreamed up by men."

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
