Today we’ll finish the discussion of a few more non-duality-based pointers from Yeshu’a (“Jesus”).
Whether he actually said them - and said them exactly as reported or not - the pointers were being circulated over 1900 years ago. Thus the point that the message has long been widespread but has seldom been understood either then or now.

NON-DUALITY-BASED QUOTATIONS ATTRIBUTED TO JESUS
15.
"I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword."
Jesus is making clear that peace cannot come until the sword does its job, not to kill off humans literally but to kill off their faulty beliefs, their erroneous concepts, and their false identifications that block them from knowing the Oneness. Only then can peace come.
16.
"I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
So does Jesus literally mean that he wants to break up families? No, he means that all roles and role-playing and false identities must end if one is to be in touch with reality, if one is to be free, and if one is to be at peace.
A man wrote to say he was suicidal because his wife left him. He felt as if he were dying, so the conclusion was that he might as well hasten the process to end the suffering.
Not understanding what Jesus referred to, the man has accepted the limited identification that had been assigned by his culture. The fact is that if anyone clings to any false identity - in this case, the false identity of the “husband” - then they shall never find what they are not and shall not find the peace which comes with knowing all that one is not.
As a result of assuming false personal identification as real, peace will never happen consistently. If persons find the understanding, then “husbanding” or “not husbanding” can happen, "wifing" or not "wifing" can happen, and consistent peace can happen either way.
All conflict results when one assumes an ego-state (that is, a false identity) because that assumption triggers the use of ego-defense mechanisms to defend the assumed role. One such mechanism is egotism, so conflict will be generated.
Assuming the roles of "a man," "a father," "a daughter," "a mother," "a daughter-in-law," and "a mother-in-law," etc. and adding egotism into the mix will set the stage for people to try to control, to resist control, and to argue. Again, the non-dual point that Jesus was trying to make was that peace can only come when persons are not being driven by the agendas of their false identities.

"A man’s [or woman’s] enemies will be the members of his [or her] own household."
See the explanation to quote #16 because this quotation is merely reinforcing the same point.
While religious fanatics claim gays are the enemy and that allowing gays to marry will “destroy the integrity of the institution of marriage,” the response here is:
Too late, fanatics. You heterosexuals long ago “destroyed the integrity of the institution of marriage” (if it ever had any “integrity” to begin with).
The U.S. divorce rate for decades has fluctuated between 50% and – at times – as high as 58%, and that is a divorce rate which existed among opposite sex couples only, not among same sex couples.
Currently, the trend continues among married heterosexuals, so at least ½ of their marriages will end in divorce. Wherefore their concerns regarding “integrity”?
Also, regarding the point that "A man’s [or woman’s] enemies will be the members of his [or her] own household," most of those self-proclaimed “proud, patriotic, anti-immigrant, pro-white supremacy, native born Americans” are actually the ones who are “sleeping with the enemy.”
Relevant statistics include these:
In the U.S., 3,066 Americans were killed in terrorist attacks from 9/11/2001 through 12/31/2014.
Meanwhile, during the same period, over 211,000 persons have been murdered in non-terrorist and gun violence incidents perpetrated by . . . "Americans," and most of the killers were white and Christian or at least not-Muslim and not-Sikh and not-Hindu and not-brown and not-black.
Talk about a warped perspective which allows "actual relative dangers" to be ignored while inspiring "non-actual relative dangers" to control how persons feel through the day.
It is as if the many delusional white and Christian Americans were told to be on the lookout for elephants falling from the sky and thus walked around all day long in fear, looking up frequently and then sprinting the last hundred years to reach the supposed safety of their home and then walk in and are shot dead by a member of their own family.
As mentioned here on occasion, 59% of all women murdered annually in the U.S. are killed by one claiming at some point to have "loved" them and who is living with them: “The Mate” or "The Lover" or "The Boyfriend" or "The Husband" or "The Common Law Husband," etc. When are those women killed 59% of the time?
When they try to leave their “Mate” or "Lover" or "Boyfriend" or "Husband" or "Common Law Husband," etc.
(By the way, the women are "catching up" nowadays: 41% of all males killed in the U.S. are killed by a woman during a breakup.)
To the misinformed: study the facts and see that Jesus, via a non-duality-based pointer, accurately identified your “enemies” and that political leaders on the national level using duality-based concepts regarding “different-from-ment” and “better-than-ment” and “the others” are totally misidentifying your “enemies” and thereby deluding you completely.
How insane would it be if a professional boxer kept his guard up 100% of the time he was not in the ring but did not ever keep his guard up while in the ring?
Yet that is the way most function throughout their relative existence, focused on those around them who mean them no harm but relaxed around the members of their own household or around "close friends" or "religious and political leaders" who pose a far greater threat.
Most molested children know their abusers and often live with them. Most abused spouses know their abusers and often live with them. Most parents who leave their children in the care of an institution which has a history of child rape know that institution's reputation and know and respect their child’s rapist.
Most who are killed are not killed by a stranger or a foreign terrorist or a migrant but are killed by a mate or household member.
As for the two billion Christians on the planet who ignore their Christ’s non-dual pointers, read pointer #17 and say, “Whoa! Hey Yeshu’a, thanks for the heads up, man!!”

"A dual-minded person is unstable in all ways."
Once more Jesus offers a non-duality-based pointer which drives to the very core of the teachings, namely, that all duality is false and that belief in false, dualistic concepts can only result in instability in the long run.
Too, he made clear that the real problem with humankind centers in the mind and in the false beliefs stored therein which are thought to be true.

"If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple."
This quote reiterates the points offered in quotes #16 and #17.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
