As we saw yesterday and will see in the days to come, there are numerous pointers which were credited to Yeshu’a (“Jesus”) in documents which were written 80 to 100 years after his crucifixion and which have become a part of Christians "Holy Bible." We’ll accept rather than debate that he is the source of the pointers in order to move forward with the discussion of those pointers for today’s audience.
Whether he said them - and said them exactly as reported or not - the pointers were being circulated over 1900 years ago. Thus the point that the non-dual message has long been widespread but has seldom been understood either then or now. The proof?
From then, there is no surviving evidence to show that the pointers which he shared (or which someone at that time shared) triggered any widespread discussion.
Today, the case is the same: in 71+ years of being exposed (and over-exposed) to Christian talk - as is the case with everyone living in the U.S. culture - I have heard only one pastor who has shared a message rooted in the non-dual understanding, and he is often the target of considerable derision.
I did meet one other pastor who understood what is being discussed in this series and what Jesus was talking about with his non-dual pointers. When I asked him why he did not share the truth with his congregation and explain what Jesus was talking about and what he meant when he made such points as “No one will ever see heaven,” he said:
“The reason is simple, Floyd. It would be my last sermon! If I shared his non-dual pointers from the pulpit on a Sunday, I’d be unemployed by Monday and moved out of the church parsonage by Tuesday.”

So, non-dual pointers have long been heard and have long been ignored.

NON-DUALITY-BASED QUOTATIONS ATTRIBUTED TO JESUS

"I will give you what the eye has not seen, and what the ear has not heard, and what the hand has not touched, and what has not arisen in the heart of man."
The non-dual understandings are beyond the physical realm of seeing and hearing and touching and also beyond what people take to be the "heart" or the "soul." Jesus knew that nothing is as it appears.
An example often used is the steel beam. People believe they know exactly what a steel beam is, but that which it is truly is actually not even close to what it looks like to the human eye. Use an electron microscope and you will see that what is called "a beam" is mainly space with masses of subatomic energy particles swirling about.
Also, he makes the point that truth cannot be stated so it cannot be heard with the human ear; instead, it is the consciousness or awareness which speaks, and it is the consciousness or awareness which hears via the inner resource.
Thus, it is not the heart or soul that hears, and it is not a human that hears. It is that inner resource that can hear. When it hears a point that is accurately pointing to truth, then there is an inward resonance that is "hearing." What is then "seen" (or understood) is the truth that can be known but that cannot be spoken.

"If they say to you, 'From where have you originated?' say to them, 'We have come from the light, where the light originated through itself'."
The scientist Szent-Gyorgyi noted that “what drives life is . . . a little electric current, set up by the sunshine." All so-called "life" on planet earth "comes from the light" and "shall return to the light." Everything merely cycles. Jesus was challenging the common belief in his day - still pervasive today - in a linear timeline: birth, life, death, punishment or reward (or, among some, rebirths and then more challenges and maybe a reward at some point).
In quote #9, he was pointing to the non-dual teaching that all merely cycles. Trillions upon trillions of humans have "come" and "gone" but nothing has been added to or subtracted from the elements of the earth which have merely cycled in order for life-forms to happen.
The only "ingredient" added from without - from beyond what is already on the planet - is light / energy / sunshine (an whatever an occasion crashing asteroid might bring). What "made" the Light? Nothing. Neither energy nor matter can be created and neither energy nor matter can be destroyed. What Jesus was saying, therefore, is that there is no creator / no Creator because "all that is" has always been.
The light originated through itself. It was not created by something or someone else.
(What of Maharaj's statement that "he and you and I have been present for the formation of this universe and all others"? Might something from another universe have manifested in a "Genesis vacuum" and split into multiple atoms which crashed together and generated a Big Bang which triggered the formation of another universe? Anything more is a discussion for another day, but whatever was involved in that or any any other scenario, that has always been.
Yet scientists understand that, in regards to "this universe," a single hydrogen atom manifested, then split time
and again until helium atoms manifested. After they all crashed
together and an amazing release of energy and light happened; thus, "the
light originated through itself."

"I AM light."
Jesus did not say, "I am the light." He said, "I AM light." [Note the punctuation that is used by "non-duals" and that Jesus used (as in quotes #1 and #2 earlier). View quote #11alongside quote #10 to understand the non-dual pointer he was offering about "light."

"If they ask you, 'what is the sign of your father in you?' say to them, 'it is a movement and a rest'."
So forget this talk about "The Father," he is saying. He made clear in quotes #10 and #11 that there was no creation, a fact now supported by scientific proof. Again, neither energy nor matter can be created or destroyed.
He also made clear in quote #4 that "heaven and earth shall fade away." If the place where "The Father" supposedly resides is not forever, then there is not place where "The Father" could reside; furthermore, quote #3 affirms his point: if heaven is within, then there is no place "out there" or anywhere else where "The Father" could be or will be.
As for "a movement," that which non-duality identifies as "a movement within" is the movement of consciousness, ever in motion (as are all forms of energy).
As for rest, the non-dual teaching is that rest cannot come when identified with the body or the mind or false identities or the ever-in-motion consciousness; rest comes when abidance happens as the Awareness - the original state. [The explanation of that point is book-length and is far longer than the framework of this book allows. The book Consciousness / Awareness provides the full explanation.]

"Whoever drinks from my mouth shall become as I AM and I myself will become he, and the hidden things shall be revealed to him."
Review the explanation to quote #6 and understand that in this quote, Jesus is again referring to the Oneness that all is but that the non-realized masses are not aware of, seeing all as "separate" and "apart from" and "different from."
Also, the explanation for quote #8 makes clear that the "drinking from his mouth" is not literal but that it is the pure consciousness / awareness that speaks via his mouth; therefore, the non-dual pointer is that if you can hear what comes from "the mouth of consciousness / awareness," then all things presently hidden from you or unknown to you or not understood by you will be understood.
At that point, the understanding of the Oneness makes clear why, in this quote, Jesus will "become" him / her and why he / she will "become" Jesus.

"It is impossible for a man to mount two horses and to stretch two bows; and it is impossible for a servant to serve two masters; otherwise, he will honor the one and offend the other."
This pointer also strikes at the core of the non-dual teachings: duality is impossible. There can be no such thing as dualities. There is only non-duality, and any statement of duality is false and any beliefs in duality are false.

"When you make the two one,
and when you make the inner as the outer
and the outer as the inner, and the above as the below, and
When you make the male and the female into a single one,
so that the male will not be male and the female not be female,
then shall you enter the kingdom."
Again, the "kingdom" is simply the state of freedom and peace. Also once more Jesus points to the understanding of Advaita (literally meaning "not two"); thus, the non-dual understanding "makes the two one" . . . makes clear that what is thought to be two will - in the light of truth and understanding - be understood to be one.
There is no inner and outer, no above and below, no male or female, nothing that is different from or separate from anything else, per the non-dual understandings.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
