We continue to consider the enormity of the obstacles which one who works for 20 or 40 or 80
years with seekers of the non-dual understanding will witness and which led Maharaj to eventually conclude - after decades of working with seekers - that only "1 out of 10,000,000" will "get this understanding":

To review from the last post:
No relationships on any levels have ever come to a nasty end, and no marriage has ended in divorce, except where beliefs were the driving force.
Nothing has contributed more to humankind's chaos and arguing and fighting and killing and mass killings than . . . beliefs, and the types of beliefs which are most prevalent and therefore most influential are:
#4: Beliefs about relationships and how those whom one is in relationship with should think and talk and behave.
#3: Beliefs of a xenophobic nature about how fellow citizens should think and talk and behave.
#2: Beliefs about politics, political parties, political leaders, and how "all others should believe what I and my political fellows believe and should accept the agenda of our political party."
#1: Beliefs about "God" or "gods and goddesses" and "what is right and what is wrong" and "what is moral vs. immoral" and "which religion is the single right one and why all of the other religions are wrong." With 97% of all persons on the planet claiming a religious affiliation, of course their beliefs are the most predominant.
Let's look at those in details, starting the countdown / count up with #4:
Beliefs about relationships and how those whom one is in relationship with should think and talk and behave.
Where does each person get her or his beliefs about how a mate should think and talk and behave? First, from the way that each person thinks and talks and behaves.
What non-realized (and therefore self-centered and egotistical) persons want in a relationship with a mate - and in relationships in the workplace and in traffic and when shopping and when worshipping - is actually a mirror image of themselves. Lip service to the contrary, the non-realized want everyone else to think and talk and behave as they do.
As far as mates, most will unconsciously model their parents in the way they behave in a relationship and in the way they expect a mate to behave in a relationship. For example, was one or more parent suffering an attachment disorder? If so, then the child will likely develop an attachment disorder.
I recently saw the results of a psychological evaluation of a young girl conducted by a team of professionals. I have long recognized in her mother a major Attachment Disorder combined with the Schizoid-Avoidant Personality Disorder and the Narcissistic Personality Disorder and the Sociopathic Personality Disorder and the Borderline Personality Disorder along with an enormous entitlement-supported level of laziness and an "I deserve to be waited on hand and foot" mindset.
The test results revealed that the woman's daughter was "off the charts" in terms of attachment disorder as well.
Already, in only a few years, the mother's tendency to "sub out" her "mothering responsibilities" to doulas, sitters, day care workers, etc. has allowed her attachment disorder to be passed on to her daughter (and to her son as well).
This is a woman who has not worked in the home or outside the home for twenty years; who has not cooked a single meal in twenty years but demands in stead that the family eat out in restaurants for each meal;
who has never changed a diaper; and who has done nothing all her life except to find people to enter into a co-dependent relationship with her and manipulate them to pay her bills and provide her with food and clothing and shelter and cars, etc., etc., etc.

Recently, she told her husband that - in addition to all the money he was currently paying to two different Montessori schools for their son and daughter and for sitters who show up each day when the children come home from school - he was also going to have to pay $600 a week to the woman she contracted with to come into their house for a few hours per day to play with her daughter. Why? Because, she said, "Our daughter constantly nags me to color with her and to play dolls with her and I just can't do it."
Also, note the way that the early beliefs which children are exposed to become the guiding forces throughout the lives of most who are among the non-realized masses:
If one parent was a domineering control freak and the other was a weak "doormat," then that will be the driving force - the subconscious expectation - when entering into a marriage someday.
Additionally, with 97% proclaiming a religious affiliation and millions more claiming to be "spiritual," most every person on the planet also claims to be "in relationship with God." The way that relationship unfolds will also be based in what one or both parents modeled.
Were parents weak and did they offer "suggestions" rather than clear-cut expectations and boundaries and consequences when all that was ignored? Then the god of their conception with be weak and will be the kind of god who offers suggestions rather than rules and commandments.
Was the parent dictatorial and abusive? Then the child as an adult will seek out a place where a mean and vindictive and punishing god is worshipped.
If their parents gave them everything they wanted, then the children's conceptualized god will be nothing more than one to turn to when something is desired. The adult's view of god will be of a "Celestial Santa-God."
Monkey-see / monkey do is a pattern which begins in childhood but which continues with children throughout their adulthood as well unless a different path is sought and found.
Meanwhile, planet earth will continue for the most part to have an adult-age population which - no matter their current age - have fixated at the age of six. The result is a planet populated by persons who are driven by the hidden agendas of personality types and styles which were often set in place by the age of six; who behave like infants instead of mature people;
who are driven by the same levels of ignorance and self-absorption and fear and anxiety which are present in most typical six-year-olds; and who are driven subconsciously by belief systems which are not actually their own but which are second-hand, hand-me-down beliefs which were passed down from generation and generation by persons trapped in the throes of the Ultimate Sickness.
And it is those beliefs, and the false ego-states they generate and the egotism and other ego-defense mechanisms which they trigger the use of, which will subconsciously determine every thought that is thought and every word that is spoken and every actions which is taken throughout an entire lifetime if realization (a.k.a., "freedom from learned ignorance," per Maharaj) does not happen.
Meanwhile, almost all among the masses will go through the entire relative existence believing that they are making conscious choices when they are not really conscious of anything and are not really awake to anything and are not truly aware of anything.

THE EXPLANATION
If
looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total
waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are
resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they
are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning?
There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept
of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa
Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in
close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and
glorify and give thanks to."
The
reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god
that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're
dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with
narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism
evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next,
in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had
her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part
of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the
"loving and caring" part.
"That
is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not
an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or
anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to
want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the
'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and
caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love
and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That
said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core
concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional
courage required to question the very existence of their institution in
light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children
and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of
billions of their members past and present.
And
that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about
why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to
continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and
conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will
they? Not likely. Why?
Because
what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the
international crime families which hold sway over the masses as
criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major
international crime families and which are the most influential and have
the largest memberships?
The
Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion
followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while
laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank);
Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers)
like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and
sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created
environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies
like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With
all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership
ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be
they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business,
politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and
they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the
driving forces at play.
The
masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their
groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem
because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the
people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the
masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved
with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the
continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate
the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types
of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
