Once more: the focus is on "The Most Influential Obstacles Of All" which have come via dreamed up myths and superstitions and via "religious" and / or "spiritual" sources, including religious and / or spiritual thoughts, ideas, concepts, notions, views, theories, inklings, perceptions, a.k.a., "beliefs" (including the distorted beliefs in you-ness and who-ness and WHO-ness).

Of the relatively few who do seek, almost all of them will seek in religious and / or spiritual venues, few understanding that realization can come without dogma, without continuous spiritual practices, and without an exclusive preoccupation with "the nature of reality and things noumenal." 

Why is that significant? Recall the man who approached me after a talk and said, "I was abused as a child by a priest. I've done years of work to try to get beyond that, but where I am today is, I still cringe when people start talking religion to me. So my question is, have you found a way to guide people to realization and freedom without their having to buy into the dogma you talk about?" 

That question made clear that I had not even reached the "kindergarten level of spirituality" which Maharaj condemned, much less the understandings beyond that which awaited. It was that question which would send me along a "different route" and would eventually lead me to the entirely different version of the Ultimate Medicine which is offered now.

REALIZING WITHOUT BEING FANATICAL ABOUT DOGMA

WITHOUT ENGAGING INCESSANTLY IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICES

WITHOUT A NEVER-ENDING PREOCCUPATION WITH THINGS NOUMENAL

rather than

RELAXING AND TAKING IT EASY

and then

ABIDING NATURALLY 

and then

DANCING LIGHTLY THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF THE MANIFESTATION 

At the end of May in 2015, the one called “daughter” and “Ashley” returned from a two-week honeymoon in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Her health was excellent throughout her travels, but last Tuesday she awoke with the pain and misery of a serious infection. 

Of course she might have contracted the sickness during the last days in Budapest, but a news report noted this:

“Scientists already know that smallpox, measles, tuberculosis, seasonal influenza, a host of viruses, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) can be transmitted during commercial flights. Now, in the first study to predict the number of H1N1 flu infections that could occur during a flight, UCLA researchers found that transmission during transatlantic travel can be fairly high.” 

Understanding the cause of her sickness, however, was less relevant than understanding that a special medicine was going to be required to cure her sickness. She understood that, to be restored to wellness, she did not need to focus too much on the cause but that she did need to recognize the true nature of her illness and she did need to visit a doctor who could provide the medicine needed.

[In many cases of serious sickness, OTC "medicines" may or may not ease the symptoms, but in such cases, those type meds will never provide a lasting cure. The same is true with the most serious Sickness on planet earth right now which is far more deadly than the coronavirus currently in the news.

That most serious Sickness is referred to in certain non-dual circles as "the Ultimate Sickness." So many seekers visit places and people in their search for the Ultimate Medicine, but what they are being given is an over-the-counter version of the Ultimate Medicine which will never provide a lasting cure.

Even the sage Maharaj offered OTC versions of the Ultimate Medicine in his early talks; it was only those who came across the version of the Medicine which he offered in his later talks who were properly diagnosed and then offered an effective treatment plan which the earlier versions - namely, the give-'em-more-dogma version and the treat-the-spiritual-malady version - did not provide.

It was the later version of the Ultimate Medicine (the treat-the-warped-mind version) which he observed was providing lasting wellness (at least in some cases).]

In the case with Ashley, the doctor she visited prescribed a round of antibiotics, taking two the first day and then one each day for the next four days. Quickly, the symptoms of the virus subsided, but the side effects of the medication were manifesting: stomach pain, mild headache, insomnia, restlessness, ringing in the ears, etc. 

Obviously, once she was free of the sickness and restored to health, she took no more of the medicine. She was done. She went on with her life and enjoyed it once health was restored, freed from not only the misery-inducing effects of the virus but also freed from the side effects of the medicine.

She did not have to devote a lifetime to fearing the next virus that might come along, and she will not take medicine for a lifetime instead of for what should be a brief period and then being done with it. 

That approach is not unlike the route which eventually came to be offered by Maharaj, and is not unlike the route which eventually came to be offered here. Consider the parallels with the Ultimate Sickness and the Ultimate Medicine: 

** Persons are made sick through no fault of their own (not having asked for the bizarre programming, conditioning, etc. to which they have all been subjected) 

** Ashley needed some slight understanding of the cause of her misery and suffering and pain, but only enough to realize that what she was suffering from was not just going to go away on its own; realizing that she could not cure her sickness on her own;

realizing that she needed a specialized medicine; realizing that, if she took the proper medicine, her suffering would end; and realizing that if she did not, she would be miserable and would eventually suffer dire consequences – relatively speaking – if her symptoms were not addressed by use of the proper medicine. 

** Once well, she abided naturally and normally rather than being driven by an Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder to take antibiotics continuously and endlessly for what had once ailed her; she simply got on with her life.

Yet how many cling to that Super Seeker role once it is assumed? How many buy into the message that they much spend the rest of their lives in a church, a mosque, a temple, an ashram, wherever, seeking continuously and endlessly? Or, how many are driven to spend the rest of their lives sitting in a "spiritual meeting" or in "a spiritual program" or in visiting "spiritual sites with special energy" all around the globe?

Originally, Maharaj focused on Self-Inquiry. Later, after seeing that neither dogma-medicine, spiritual-medicine, or Self-Inquiry-medicine was working to address the Ultimate Sickness long-term, he began recommending “self”-inquiry only instead: 

“It is enough to know what you are not” 

and 

“Don’t try to understand! It’s enough if you do not misunderstand.” 

Thus the suggestion here is to begin with determining if one is actually well or not because - as is the case with "walking pneumonia" - many have a serious sickness which they are not even aware of while being convinced that they have been totally healed, made totally well and are now being bathed in the warm glow of full enlightenment.

[To those, Maharaj warned that many have never gotten beyond what he called "the kindergarten level of spirituality." To them he said:

"Many are convinced that they are being bathed in the fill light of the noonday sun when in fact they are still only standing in the dull light of dawn."]

If aware of the fact that some symptoms of a sickness exist and need to addressed, and that the sickness is actually centered within the mind, then the next step is to realize that the symptoms will not go away on their own; to realize that misery and suffering and consequences will be assured unless the proper Medicine is found and used; and to realize that a specialized Ultimate Medicine is available to address what is ailing the masses.

To try that Medicine, one must also realize what cannot possibly work, what cannot possibly heal the Ultimately Sick mind, and what has a multi-thousand-year history of failure; then only might one become willing to try a different route; a “non-mythical” route; a non-dogma route; and a non-Foo-Foo-Land, non-supernatural, non-spiritual route; then, one might take a route which provides the proper Medicine for what really ails humankind. 

To become both well and free, one need but take the limited dosage which begins with stopping and pausing long enough to observe one’s (false) selves at play and then – seeing how silly and even insane it is to react to mirages and illusions and to listen to charlatans and cons – and then to turn away from them. 

Then, once healed, one can move on with enjoying the remainder of the manifestation without suffering the side effects of taking more medicine than is needed; without the side effects of restlessness and not being able to sit still and being driven to go and do and zoom to become "super well" or "the most well of all" by becoming a religious or spiritual or mythical workaholic; 

without making a second (religious or spiritual or other-worldly) job out of living; and then just living the remainder of one's life normally instead, without being attached obsessively to exercises and practices and all sorts of things that are used to create and sustain a phony image of “The Super Religious One” or “The Spiritual Giant”  or "The Super Seeker."

Just get well, "know who and what you are not," stop "misunderstanding," be freed of the side effects of taking too much of the Ultimate Medicine, abide naturally and spontaneously, dance lightly for a change, and delight in some joy along the rest of the way. 

Of course that's just a suggestion.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
