SEEKING: WHY, WHAT AND HOW?

To review for those that are still inclined to seek:

1. Seek to abide as all life-forms on the planet abide except for humans: naturally, not unnaturally and not supernaturally.

2. Seek not to find all that you supposedly are; it is enough to find who / what you are not. (Maharaj)

3. Seek to understand how you were programmed, conditioned, domesticated, acculturated, indoctrinated, and brainwashed resulting in you and all humans at some point ending up with no ability to use logic and reason but instead accepting anything from any authority figure as truth without questioning and based on blind faith alone.

4. Relatedly, seek to comprehend how phony personality identities subconsciously determine and control your every thoughts, words, and deeds, thereby eliminating the ability to make conscious choices.

5. Seek to find the real source of the Ultimate Sickness and then seek the effective version of the Ultimate Medicine which can treat the Sickness.

6. Seek - no DEMAND - not only a physically-healthy environment in your home but also a healthy mental / emotional environment in your home.

7. The planet’s human population has been seeking in one place in particular for 5000+ years with no long-lasting success. Maharaj made clear that seekers should seek outside the box: seek outside the religious box; seek outside the spiritual box; and even seek outside the non-dual box since so many have stored BS in all of the boxes mentioned above.

So, the penultimate cause of the problems of humanity is believed by some to be the fact that there are “too few religious people.”

Others blame the problems on the fact that there are “too many who have an untreated spiritual malady” and claim that if they would become spiritual, then all of their problems will end - be they physical, mental, financial, relational, etc.

Then there are those that may well have bought into the beliefs of both those groups for a time, only to find by “experience” that neither of those two effectively addresses the problems of individuals or the masses long-term because the problems are mental problems.

Among those who have tried to address the key problem of humanity (termed “the Ultimate Sickness” by non-dualists) only a few came to realize that the main problem of humanity centers in the mind, not in the notion that “there are too few who are religious” and not the notion that “there are too many who are spiritually sick.”

Maharaj was among “the few.” After trying for years a religious approach and then a spiritual approach, he saw that no long-lasting shifts were happening via those methods.

He also saw that the main problem of humanity had nothing to do with persons having too few religious and / or spiritual beliefs but had much to do with having far too many beliefs, including those around religion and spirituality. That came via experience.

Maharaj: “I have no faith in anything which has ever been told, not even what has been told by the Vedas. Only my own experience.”

As a result, he shifted first away from trying to address the Ultimate Sickness by using a religious methodology as the Ultimate Medicine; that proved not to be the proper medicine;

then, he shifted to a spiritual methodology to try to address the Ultimate Sickness but found that spirituality was not the Ultimate Medicine.

Eventually, he took an all-scientific, psychology-based approach after he realized that the Ultimate Sickness is a mental illness.

If you review the “religious beliefs” and the “spiritual beliefs” shared on this subject, it can be seen that they are characterized by self-contradictory beliefs and impractical notions about “cause and effect” and that they offer theoretical but unfounded bases for humanity’s problems as well as ineffective, long-term solutions.

When the best that someone can offer is a twenty-four-hour reprieve from what ails you, should you accept that? Should that plan impress you?

When someone says that the problems of the world would be solved if everyone were religious, does that make any sense when until recently 97% already claim to have an affiliation with one or another of the planet’s organized religions?

At the end, what Maharaj offered were talks that were far less abstract and far more practical and which had far less to do with things Noumenal and had far more to do with things phenomenal.

Why? Once the present Is-ness, the current manifestation ends, there will be no “one” to experience any pain or to suffer any misery. “THAT” functions automatically and impersonally and offers no chance at all for any “one” to be conscious of or aware of anything or to experience anything.

Therefore, whatever needs addressing that can be addressed can only be addressed NOW; as for “later,” there will be nothing to address, no one to address anything, and no one to experience anything that could need addressing.

Maharaj: “All the universe of experience is born with the body and dies with the body; it has its beginning and end in awareness, but awareness knows no beginning, nor end”

and

“This must be well grasped: the world hangs on the thread of consciousness. No consciousness, no world”

and

“The final answer is this: nothing is. All is a momentary appearance in the field of the universal consciousness. Continuity as name and form is a mental formation only, easy to dispel.”

Some prefer things deemed to be lofty; some prefer things deemed to be aloof; some prefer to seek things that are superior; some prefer things supposedly exalted; things supposedly sublime;

things supposedly noble; and things supposedly majestic. Among non-dualists, none of those exist. They are just the supposedly “grand” side of a dualist pairing of “things grand” vs. “things not grand.”

Who prefers things aloof, superior, exalted, sublime, noble, and majestic? Those who want to be seen as being superior, exalted, sublime, noble, and majestic.

Or those who prefer to escape, avoid, and dissociate from things involved with a not-so-happy relative existence. Or those who claim that they want to awaken but who really want to reach an even deeper level of asleep-ness.

If one understands why Maharaj shifted from a religious approach to a spiritual approach and, finally, to a scientific-and-psychology-based approach, then one will understand why he did so, will understand that the critics of his shifts understand nothing, and will understand why the critics who said the following are so far off the mark:

1. “The later books of Maharaj do not enjoy the same clarity as I Am That. It seems that he himself got complicated or rather evolved himself or declined maybe as happens to many teachers.”

2. “At first when Maharaj was still listening to his guru he was telling the truth, like he did in ‘I AM THAT.’ In his other talks, his ego made him start telling things he dreamed up on his own that were not true.”

3. “Maharaj deteriorated from one of the great spiritual men of all times to one of the least spiritual people of all times.”

To abandon contradictory teachings and nonsensical, myth-based messages and lofty but irrelevant pointers has nothing to do with “deterioration” and has everything to do with reaching higher levels of understanding and clarity.

Maharaj’s advice: “You have put so much energy into building a prison for yourself. Now spend as much on demolishing it. In fact, demolition is easy, for the false dissolves when it is discovered.”

Once Maharaj discovered that religion was a snake oil version of the Ultimate Medicine and that spirituality was a snake oil version of the Ultimate Medicine, the false dissolved;

then only came forth his understanding of the fact that the Ultimate Sickness is a mental illness and that the Ultimate Medicine must treat humanity’s mental issues rather than add to humanity’s mental issues with (a) false doctrine and superstition-based dogma and with (b) lofty but false pointers that evolve from what he called persons’ “kindergarten-level spirituality.”

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
