Five Free Non-Duality eBooks


An update regarding the free eBooks offered on this site:

Years ago, after Andy Gugar, Jr. had come here for a retreat and after he had returned with others for the same purpose, he became determined that - for the remainder of his existence - he was going to try to make available to as many seekers as possible what he had been seeking for decades and what he had finally found.

Hence, he and I formed a partnership years ago which has generated many additional means for sharing the message, one of which includes the offering on this site of five non-duality eBooks without charge, all compliments of Andy.

The first free book was offered seven years ago; the total increased fairly quickly to five. After years of offering the books and sending them out in response to email requests, a point was reached in 2014 when we were sending out an average of 10,000 copies per year. The volume of requests and the effort to try to fulfill them - one email at a time - had become unmanageable. Furthermore, some of the longer books being sent as attachments exceeded the limits imposed by some email providers and servers, so some seekers wrote to say they could not open the larger files being sent via email. Others were having problems because their servers' filter settings were blocking emails with large attachments.

As for handing so many requests, Andy considered hiring someone to assist with the demand, but he felt that some seekers might be reluctant to share email addresses in spite of the fact that we assured everyone that email addresses would never be used for solicitations and would never be sold or shared. With the increase in computer hackings and the stealing of personal information that was being reported in the news, I agreed that Andy was probably spot on about some being hesitant to contact us by email and that we did need to find a way to circumvent the problems which seekers were experiencing when trying to open attachments.

What happened next seems to have validated his point because after we set up a “FREEBIES” category at the top of this site's home page and set up links on that page which allow seekers to download the books on their own, we saw very quickly that there was going to be an increase in the number of books being distributed. Presently, the five free eBooks are being downloaded at a forty-percent higher rate via the links than was the case via email requests. At the current rate, the downloads are on track to average 14,000 books per year.

So, there will be a break for one day in the current series in order to allow site visitors to look over the synopses of the five books (at the very bottom of this home page) and to decide if they are interested in reading any or all of the free books described there.

"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.
