TODAY’S CONSIDERATIONS

Frequent visitors to this site know that one way the bills are paid here is by offering individuals, couples, and the employees of business owners the enneagram test followed by an analysis of their results in order to show individuals which personality types are subconsciously controlling their thoughts and words and actions;

in order to show couples the personality-based areas where they will experience compatibility as well as conflict in order to understand what is driving each partner and thereby reducing conflict; and to allow employees to better understand themselves and each other in order to improve workplace conditions, to enhance harmony, and to increase productivity.

Note that all “not-fully-realized” personas will exhibit varying degrees of each of these nine basic personality types:

Note too that the nine types are divided into three triads: Types 8 and 9 and 1 at the top of the pictograph form “The Anger Triad”; types 2 and 3 and 4 on the right side of the pictograph form “The Depression Triad”; and types 5 and 6 and 7 on the left side of the pictograph form “The Fear and Anxiety Triad.”

Note, too, that the connecting lines indicate how various types often share the traits of others types as well. For example, see that an angry, perfectionistic type 1 can "connect with" a type 4 and exhibit evidence of depression.

All “heaviness” experienced during a relative manifestation is rooted in personality, and all personality is rooted in minds which have been programmed, conditioned, domesticated, acculturated, brainwashed and indoctrinated and, therefore, filled with nonsense which has been passed down for generations and for millennia.

Note that types 8 and 9 and 1 form the anger triad. The type 8 (a.k.a., “The Boss, The Controller”) is often angry. The type 9 is constantly angry but will seldom admit it. The type 9’s anger is shown when the type 9’s peace is disturbed, supposedly by “externals” though the real source is always internal.

When a type 9’s passive-aggressive mode shifts to the aggressive side, anger is the key driver; when a type 9 is in the passive (suppressed anger) mode, the 9’s suppressed anger generates depression, which can be the case with types 8 and type 1 as well. Note how the 1 can shift to a depressed type 4, how the type 9 can shift to a depressed type 3 mode, and how the type 8 can shift to a depressed type 2; thus, depression is simply the flip side of the anger coin, and vice-versa.

Following the lines, note also how the type 8 can shift to a fear-and-anxiety-based type 5; how the type 1 can shift to a fear-and-anxiety-based type 7; and how the type 9 can shift to a fear-and-anxiety-based type 6. At any given moment, those being driven by the agendas of a variety of personality types will be experiencing anger or depression or anxiety or all three.

What chance is there, if a person is being driven subconsciously by personality-based anger or depression or fear, to have an ability to enjoy a sense of lightness? None. A sense of heaviness will be guaranteed.

Next, persons are like soybeans: they take on the flavor of what they are next to. Are you spending your days listening to those who are sharing their sense of heaviness? You will subconsciously assume a sense of heaviness as well. Are you listening to news broadcasts that are nothing more than hour-long bitchfests and gripe sessions? Are you hanging out with persons who are being driven by a sense of heaviness? Then you will end up being driven by a sense of heaviness.

Another factor always at play is this: persons seek affirmation, so those with a sense of heaviness will be drawn to those displaying a sense of heaviness. That sense will then be reinforced in both: “I’m angry, and he’s angry about the same things that I’m angry about, so I love him.” No. What you love is hearing someone adumbrate your anger, hatred, rage, and fear and thus affirm them, allowing you to believe that your anger, hatred, rage, and fear are real, justified and right.

Since personality involves a false self, and since a sense of perfectionism comes with all ego-states after they upgrade themselves to “super” status, then what is at play among those trapped in personality is both (1) a sense of being right and (2) a sense of self, resulting in a sense of . . . self-righteousness

A sense of self-righteousness, in turn, will foster a sense of smugness, conceit, superiority, vanity, and narcissism.

To illustrate, ISIS is a Sunni Muslim organization dedicated to the proposition of creating a worldwide Sunni Muslim Theocratic Government. In the process, the members of that group have a conviction, a belief, based in self-righteousness which justifies – in their minds – the slaughter of Shia Muslims, Jews, Christians or anyone else who hold different beliefs or who have no beliefs at all.

Yet they have not cornered the market on self-righteousness. Christians who are members of the U.S. Armed Forces use rifles with Jewish and Christian Bible verses etched into the metal in order to slaughter Muslims. Jews slaughter Sunni Muslim Palestinians. In every case, there is a sense of self-righteousness at play.

Any institutions or individuals who are promoting a sense of self-righteousness and better-than-ment and who stir up hatred for those who are different as a result of race, religion (or no religion), gender, sexual orientation, economic status, etc. are culpable in any attacks on those deemed to be "less-than" or "worse-than."

For example, consider the content of sermons delivered last weekend, several of which have been sent here, many of which were similar to the sermon delivered by Christian Pastor Roger Jimenez in Sacremento who said of those murdered,

"They deserve what they got. Are you sad? Um, no. I think that's great. I think that helps society. The tragedy is that more of them did not die." He went on to blame the U.S. government also, for not putting homosexuals in front of firing squads and killing them. And that attitude differs how from the attitude of ISIS fighters who behead their "enemies" on camera?

Recently, a man raised by parents who are Sunni Muslims entered a club in Orlando, Florida which had a large LGBT clientele and killed 49 people and wounded that many more. The question being asked in recent days is this: “Was his crime a hate crime against gays or an attack inspired by his Muslim religion?”

Really, what does it matter? Can those two be separated? What institution more than any other is demonizing certain humans based on sexual preference? Many Christians in the U.S. - including government leaders - are quite vocal as they foster hatred for those whose sexual beliefs or preferences differ from their own. Muslims around the globe do the same. Jews around the globe do the same. Their “holy books and holy writings” all order that gays be stoned to death. Is a "religious fanatic" / "homophobic fanatic" a rare combination or a commonplace combination? So much for claims about being for unity and unconditional love.

When persons believe that they are different from and, therefore, better than others, then a God Complex Personality Disorder (a.k.a., The Narcissistic Personality Disorder) will manifest; then, persons will claim that they are "speaking for God"; that they are God’s agent of earth; and that they are more godly than others. It follows, then, they will act like the currently-popular concept of God who is seen to be "The Loving Father" on one hand but also the not-so-loving Judge, Juror and Executioner. [For more on "Him," see "Borderline Personality Disorder" and "Schizophrenic Personality Disorder."]

It turns out that the killer in Orlando who often said that he wanted to kill blacks and gays may have been like those who attack gays openly in order to prove that they are not gay, evidence now coming forth that he had visited the LGBT club regularly "for years," had tried to pick up males there, and had joined many online gay pickup groups.

[Might his 911 calls during the attack, when he pledged allegiance to ISIS, have been a misdirection, based in nothing more than an indirect “cover my rear” call to Allah to guarantee admission into paradise as a result of reminding Him that the shooter was about to die "for the holy cause" and thereby deserved admission to heaven? The fact that a “gay club” was targeted seems to supersede any religion-based motive, though those are rarely separate issues.]

As discussed in the free book available above on the “Freebies” page, a book entitled “Good vs. Evil?” or “Ignorance, Stupidity, and Insanity?”, it should be clear that all things classified as “evil” by the masses are really rooted in a warped mind as well as persons' assigned or assumed personality identifications.

Moreover, being driven by the hidden agendas of a warped mind and by the agendas of assigned or assumed personality identifications guarantees that there will be a sense of heaviness and anger and depression and fear. Also assured in such cases is a sense of duality, a sense of separation, a sense of better-than-ment, a sense of different-from-ment, a sense of self-righteousness, and a sense of godliness (a.k.a., unchecked, rampant narcissism).

The “Dark Triad” discussed earlier in this series – made up of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder, the Sociopathic Personality Disorder, and the Psychopathic Personality Disorder – all have what in common? "Personality" and "disorder." And where are personality identifications / disorders stored? In the warped mind (which is always a product of warped programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination).

One other trait of “the non-realized” is a propensity to “cut off one's nose to spite one’s face”; that is, a willingness to self-destruct, to be self-defeating, and to be self-sabotaging. Why? The false self actually hates its falseness, the constant living of a lie, and the complete absence of any sense of authenticity. The false selves may well inspire the desire to destroy “others,” but those false selves are always bent on destroying themselves as well, even as they are willing to die to try to preserve themselves. What self-contradiction. What insanity and chaos and instability that internal conflict reveals.

As the Advaitin Yeshu’a (“Jesus”) said: “A dual-minded person is unstable in all ways.” And it can also be said, “A dual-minded person will be heavy in all ways and will, therefore, feel a perpetual sense of heaviness rather than lightness."

And when those feeling

heavy and angry and hateful and rageful and depressed and anxious and self-righteous and godly

and

also trapped in their narcissist, dualistic beliefs

and

also happen to live in a society where guns originally designed for the use on battlefields by military forces are sold to the population at large,

then

where is there cause for any sense of surprise when “mass casualty events” become commonplace?

Lightness comes

only after personality identifications and beliefs and being influenced by institutions and by persons who foster a sense of different-from-ment and better-than-ment

go

I have never met any person deeply involved with, and emotionally-attached to, a religious or spiritual or philosophical or ideological group or movement who did not believe, “Of course I am ‘a better person’ for being involved with this group / institution / organization.”

Maharaj asked: “All right, you got all the knowledge you wanted. But in what way are you benefited by it?”

He said: “If you expect any benefits from your search - material, mental or spiritual - you have missed the point. Truth gives no advantage. It gives you no higher status, no power over others; all you get is truth and the freedom from the false.”

He said: "Only that person will visit this place whose virtue and sin have come to an end."

How about you? Does any sense of being virtuous or sinful linger? Then heaviness will mark your existence. By contrast, has all sense of being either virtuous or sinful come to an end? Then lightness is near.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
