TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

 [See the offer following this post for details on how you can watch a video which includes a discussion of all seven of the steps on the path used by Maharaj]

Most persons will never be at peace because they will never be free of the beliefs which are behind all arguing and fighting and "the breaking of relationships" and assaults and murders and battles and civil wars and international wars and the use of citizens' money to amass military might rather than to address the health and mental problems and food shortages of the citizenry at large, much less to address the causes of the suffering among the most deprived and disadvantaged citizens of nations all around the globe.

Consider a few of the "landmark" events in the more recent history of humankind which were rooted in beliefs

Fifteen million Africans died because whites in Europe and the U.S. had the belief that it was acceptable for whites to buy and sell blacks.

Millions more lived and died in slavery because whites in Europe and the U.S. had the belief that they were entitled to buy and sell humans and therefore enjoy the economic benefit of non-paid labor which those bought and sold humans provided.

Over 620,000 people died in the U.S. Civil War because white people in slaveholder states started a war of insurgency to overthrow the U.S. Government because the government wanted to end the practice of humans buying and owning and selling other humans while those in the Southern states in the U.S. believed that they had to right to do that. That war continues to this very day, over 150 years later.

One-hundred-and-fifty-million non-white people died in what is now referred to as "the American Holocaust" (that is, the European colonization of "the New World") when "the three Americans" were invaded by Europeans with white skin who believed they had the right to kill those with "red skin" and take their assets and holdings.

Nearly two million people died because Christians and non-Christians battled each other during the religious wars called "the Crusades" because the fighting parties believed that their religion was the only legitimate religion and that all other religions are illegitimate. That religious warring and fighting and killing continues to this very day, over 900 years later.

Thirty-six million died in China during the Tang Dynasty because the rulers believed that they had the right to rule all of the people of that nation and the right to kill those who did not do as they were told.

Thirty million died in China during the Yuan Dynasty because the rulers believed that they had the right to rule all of the people of that nation and the right to kill those who did not do as they were told.

Forty million died in China during the Qing Dynasty because the rulers believed that they had the right to rule all of the people of that nation and the right to kill those who did not do as they were told.

Forty-three million died in China - many of starvation - because the Communist rulers believed that the country should leave behind its agrarian roots and adopt Communist principles.

Forty-nine million died in the Soviet Union because their leader Joseph Stalin believed that to keep hold of the power he had gained, millions needed to suffer and be deprived and imprisoned and killed.

Sixty-five million died during WWI because when the various European empires began to get too big for each other, so they decided to (dualistically) form two vast alliances and fight it out for dominance.

Eighty-five million died when right-wing Nazis came to believe that white, German Christians and white Christians everywhere were members of a superior race and that they therefore had the right to take away the holdings and the lives of supposedly inferior non-Aryans, non-whites, and non-Christians. That war was started by believers in eugenics and genetic superiority and white supremacy and the agenda of Nazis and Nazi sympathizers and right-wing fanatics; it continues to this day, nearly 90 years later.

The history of humankind has been marked and marred by belief-rooted chaos and suffering and conflict and killing. By more belief-rooted chaos and suffering and conflict and killing. And by even more belief-rooted chaos and suffering and conflict and killing.

At the core of the Ultimate Sickness are mental issues; all mental issues involve the mind; and the mind is most corrupted by beliefs. The Ultimate Medicine Plan calls for the elimination of beliefs in order to allow humans to once more abide under the auspices of the brain which could lead once more to a spontaneous and sane means of abidance rather than to the insane means of abidance which happens when the content of the mind - beliefs - become the driver of all thoughts and words and actions.

For the few that might "get that," the following is offered:

Moving Closer to Freedom from Beliefs

Pointers from other works by the author can now be shared to review some of the considerations offered herein which are to be grasped if freedom from belief in falsehoods (and the effects of such beliefs) is ever to manifest:

From the book Overcoming the Fear of Being Totally Independent

"Accept that you cannot handpick right ideas and wrong ideas. Let them all go. That belief-free state is freedom."

From the book The Essence of the Teachings

". . . Trying to meet the expectations and demands of others’ beliefs is blocking you from a peaceful existence."

and

"Once persons 'see' that they are not a body that was born, once they 'see' that they are not defined by their thoughts, once they 'see' that they are not the spiritual or religious roles they have played, then the de-accumulation of beliefs and concepts and ideas can lead to . . .

the peace of Child Ignorance (that is, the No-Knowing State); to witnessing;

to knowing authenticity and truth;

to understanding the beingness and the non-beingness;

and to being in touch with Reality. From there, the doing stops and the being begins."

and

“ Thinking' (which is generated from an illusory mind that is nothing more than the storehouse of lies, myths and concepts) will disappear to the degree that attachment to, and belief in, lies and myths and concepts disappear."

Yet few will ever commit to being totally independent. Few will ever begin the movement toward total independence by first abandoning identification with the body. Fewer still will complete the entire seven-step “journey” to Reality and know true freedom and absolute independence;

instead, most will fight to the end in defense of nonsensical, magical beliefs that were usually dreamed up by uneducated, ignorant men during ancient times. What about you? How free do you want to be? How soon do you want that freedom?

If you are not totally free of all of the beliefs which "they" have passed on to you, then you are as if in a play, playing a role, and believing that the role and the play are both real. Why would you believe such? Because "your mind" has become the playwright, the author of every scene, and that is inspiring you to play the roles that seem to provide a "personal payoff."

Everything that is said here is to be used to be rid of another false belief until all ideas and emotional intoxication and beliefs are gone and nothing remains but the unstated understanding. Only then can the constant churning and re-churning of the false beliefs of the corrupted "mind" finally cease.

If you are not totally free of all of the beliefs which "they" have passed on to you, then “your mind” is obscuring the consciousness because that "mind" is so marred with its belief in lies and superstitions and all of its so-called "knowledge" (that is, its accumulation of learned ignorance), that it leaves you insane to the degree that you don’t know Your Self and to the degree that you believe the lies and dreams of the planet.

If you are not totally free of all of the beliefs which "they" have passed on to you, then "they" (including untold generations of non-Realized persons) still control you. You are being controlled by "others"; controlled by persons from many generations ago whom you never met; controlled by those you have met but who are no longer present even though their influence still controls you; and controlled by those still present physically but also still present psychically.

"They" decided that you needed their “knowledge,” which is really nothing other than the accumulation of their learned ignorance (including "their" ideas and beliefs that were rooted in superstitious and mythical explanations for what they could not explain factually or scientifically).

In transferring those false beliefs to you, they created a “mind”—a repository of ideas and beliefs and non-truths. It contains (1) what was put into their "minds" - which they also never questioned even once - and (2) what was then passed along faithfully and dutifully and, unfortunately, to you. Nothing in it came from you or from You.

If you are not totally free of all of the beliefs which "they" have passed on to you, then the fact remains that generations of "them" dreamed it all up, that "they" forced you to accept their concepts as a child, that you internalized their beliefs into a “mind,” and that you now allow their fiction to define what you mistakenly take to be "your" beliefs, your values and your “mind.”

Next, you are invited to review once again this exchange that was shared earlier and see if its implication might now be more palatable:

Recall again, in response to "Floyd, millions of people who believe in Him can't be wrong!" the response was, "Indeed, your notion is accurate; in truth, it is not millions who have been deluded in their beliefs. It is trillions upon trillions."

For adults to be able to witness without judgment, without thoughts, and without beliefs based in duality requires a shift “back” to that prior state of Child Ignorance (or the Child-No-Knowing State) by casting aside all of the nonsense which has been accumulated as a result of learning and conditioning and programming and domestication and acculturation.

Finally, when people prepare for a journey, there are certain items that they take along in order to make the trip somewhat easier. In the next chapter, some of the items that can be used on the "journey" to becoming free of the effects of believing in false beliefs and concepts and ideas shall be shared.

To be continued.

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
