TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS
ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Following eye surgery, clear focusing has not returned and eye strain results from anything other than a brief exposure to a computer screen; moreover, two follow up procedures must be arranged to "fine tune" the effects of the surgery; hence, the postings will be brief for awhile.
2. [See the offer following this post for details on how you can watch a retreat on video which includes a detailed discussion of all seven of the steps on the path as used by Maharaj]
3. Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns. See the end of the post for the full meaning and implications of that.
4. A new video ("Number Ten: Awakening Together Satsang, March 2018") has now been added in the far right column of this page, offering the opportunity to view a recent 2018 satsang session with Floyd being interviewed by Regina and Jacqueline of "The Awakening Together Group."
[Yesterday]
Like my plants which were not watered automatically and were receiving too much water sometimes and too little water on other occasions, most persons have not found a means by which they can abide spontaneously and automatically within the boundaries of fanaticism-free normalcy.
More on that in the next post.
Consider:
Maharaj: "It looks as if I live my physical, waking life automatically, reacting spontaneously and accurately"
and
"What harm is there in making automatic what is habitual and repetitive? It is automatic anyhow. But when it is also chaotic, it causes pain and suffering and calls for attention. The entire purpose of a clean and well-ordered life is to liberate man from the thraldom of chaos and the burden of sorrow."
When challenged, he responded: "What is wrong with a life which is free from problems? Personality is merely a reflection of the real. Why should not the reflection be true to the original as a matter of course, automatically?"
To the query, "What is wrong with purposeful action?" he replied: "It does not apply. In these matters there is no question of purpose, nor of action. All you need is to listen, remember, ponder. It is like taking food. All you can do is to bite off, chew and swallow. All else is unconscious and automatic."
He advised: "Once this obsession with the body goes, you will revert to
your natural state, spontaneously and effortlessly. The only difference between us is that I am aware of my natural state, while you are bemused."
That is the case if one receives the understanding offered by Nisarga (Natural) Yoga. All then happens spontaneously.
The deer in this neighborhood live in a nisargan fashion, abiding naturally and spontaneously. They do not rise in the morning and have a meeting of their board of directors - the leaders of their herd - and then meet with the other bucks and does and fawns and go over a map of the areas here and say,
"Alright. Listen up! We're going to start in this spot here today and eat some of the new landscaping an unwary homeowner had installed yesterday. We'll need to be in and out before sunrise so we won't be seen and attacked by those who become angry because we eat some of their plants.
"Then we'll move thorough the yards in the neighborhood and forage on some grass, stopping off at Henderson's house to see if he ran his sprinklers this morning and left behind some puddles of water which we can drink from during this drought we're in."
"Later, during the peak heat times, we'll rest in the cool blue shade and then get back to the business of foraging when the temperatures drop. Any questions? No? Well then let's go! Harumph! Harumph! Harumph!"
Doesn't happen, does it? Whatever does happen . . . happens spontaneously. Why? Because the deer are abiding naturally, as do all living things except for - humans. Only when and if humans are aware of their natural state, only then will they also abide naturally and spontaneously.
Maharaj said: "What is the use of truth, goodness, harmony, beauty? They
are their own goal. They manifest spontaneously and effortlessly, when things are left to themselves, are not interfered with, not shunned, or wanted, or conceptualized, but just experienced in full awareness."
He said: "Once you are quiet, things will begin to happen spontaneously and quite naturally, without any interference on your part." Such is the way the deer abide. Such is the way "the realized" abide.
And as that type of abidance happiness, no fanaticism can manifest. No obsessing can happens. No being driven by the disorders (which personality identifications generate) can happen because all personal identifications - all sense of WHO-ness - end.
The fact is that no sense of personal identification and no sense of WHO-ness happens with the realized that understand all that they are not. That understanding guarantees spontaneous and effortless living. That is why Maharaj said:
"What you are, you already are. By knowing what you are not, you are free of it and remain in your own natural state. It all happens quite spontaneously and effortlessly."
Moreover, he asked the rhetorical question, "What is your happiness worth when you have to strive and labour for it?" He then offered this answer: "True happiness is spontaneous and effortless."
When was the last time that you were truly happy? If not fully realized, then it was likely during infancy when - abiding in a childlike fashion - happiness manifested automatically and spontaneously and effortlessly (if fed, dry and not being abused . . . the latter happening far less often that many imagine).
To be continued.

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.
THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places but are states of mind, nothing more than concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
[in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium]
