The point in this series is that the non-dual message has long been widespread but has seldom been understood either then or now. So, to move on . . .
FURTHER DISCUSSIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING SHAKESPEARE'S NON-DUAL QUOTES AND POINTERS
On "Screwing Your Courage to the Sticking Place":
Seekers trapped in their imaginings can, nevertheless, consider the "nothing-to-gain, everything-to-be-cast-aside" battle plan that has been drawn up against the ego to be quite threatening if they are identified with the false selves that will be targeted in this process.
They see the teachings as being a company of commandos that seem to be able to drop in from out of nowhere and demolish everything that has been previously valued, missing the fact completely that what is being cast away is all illusory anyway.
Thus, most will never consider walking along this path less traveled. Others think that they can navigate their way along the direct, seven-step path all alone. They cannot. Not understanding the seven steps in, they cannot possibly understand the seven steps out. Because those exact steps must be taken in an exact order, there are opportunities to lose your way at every turn.
Some look for shortcuts; some look for a comfortable place to rest and never complete the "journey" at all; but a few who have been stumbling about might happen to hear the consciousness speak from another nearby road. It is the road not taken, usually; it is the road less traveled.
Yet if a seeker is willing to heed the call coming from that "path," and if a seeker is willing to heed the admonition of the Realized poet Shakespeare (to "screw your courage to the sticking-place") then the poet affirms that the seeker will "not fail."
How to find the one to point the way? Read or listen to the words. If the teacher's words resonate and strike the cord of the internal guru - the inner resource - then screw your courage to that sticking-place and follow directions exactly.
Do not be so arrogant as the ask the teacher to complete your "Teacher Checklist" of questions. If not Realized, you have no clue at all about what to look for, anyway. Just watch for the resonance.
Do not be so arrogant as to demand some sort of "Realization Resume." Just watch for the resonance. And do not be so demanding as to seek some kind of "money-back guarantee" if you fail to understand.
Why? The teacher's understanding is fixed and does not waver. See that the "teacher's course" is based in tried and proven methods. Then understand that the variable in this realization equation is not the teacher's credentials or game plan.
The variable is your degree of readiness. That shall be the deciding factor. Listen and then be on the alert for that inner resonance. If the inner guru resonates and begins to awaken, grab hold of the sticking-post. If not, search on.
One visitor said: This line had a big impact: 'In that state of Awareness, there is nobody (no body) and there is no 'mind' that 'has consciousness' of anything, including presence."
The irony of the post-realization existence is that there is total awareness of Presence without any sense of presence. You understand that, yes?
Visitor: "I understand."
Next, as far as "healing" is concerned, is there not already enough relative harm being generated by planet-wide tomfoolery and widespread quackery and medical malpractice without adding to the problem, especially when the one claiming he can heal is also claiming that he hears voices in his head as entities in other realms are speaking to him?
Are there not already enough persons with grave mental and emotional disorders whose issues require professional treatment plans rather than having their problems aggravated by the armchair psychologists in groups who brag of their "dollar-an-hour-therapy"?
Yet for those who are so grandiose as to think that they can do (without any training) what professionals train for a decade in universities to do, so it is;
however, it is the claim that one is talking to entities in other realms that provides an opportunity to offer an explanation that can lead to the most relevant understanding, so the salient pointers that can lead to "the ultimate understanding" include the following:
1. The concept of presence prior to and after manifestation is nonsense;
2. Concepts about "definite, personal forms" prior to and after manifestation are false;
and
3. Talk of pre-manifestation or post-manifestation personal materiality or physicality is rubbish.
Then what must be understood are the facts concerning:

and the facts concerning
5. The composite unity.
An understanding of the facts regarding those five subjects can lead seekers into the heart of what is offered here as the essence of "the end game" . . . as the essence of "the final understanding."
The concepts of
(1) presence and
(2) definite, personal forms and
(3) personal materiality or physicality all existing prior to and after manifestation.
All this talk about pre-existing forms with "sacred contracts" and about former lives and about "surviving souls" and about gauzy, post-manifestation, angelic formations are nothing more than false beliefs, beliefs rooted in the phenomenal but then "upgraded" by egos and egotism, inspiring such claptrap as this:
xx"Here on earth, we are humans, but when we die, our souls will live forever and our bodies will become half-person and half -bird and we can fly about in the skies here and in the heavens beyond, where we will be reunited with our loved ones forever."
The fact is that "the soul" is nothing more than a fictional upgrade of a human form and, according to Maharaj, what persons call "the soul" is nothing more than "a kind of spiritual personality."
For families to recognize each other and to be reunited after mahasamadhi, they would have to have bodies that are recognizable, even if embodied only as some type of gossamer or ethereal or diaphanous formation.
Also, the "mind" would have to survive intact for them to know each other, and some "kind of spiritual personality or personalities" would have to survive for them to continue to play some of their former roles (wife, husband, daughter, son) along with their new heavenly roles.
Maharaj: "All the stories of reincarnation [and] rebirth are mere stories meant for the ignorant masses."
(Or, as Shakespeare might have put it, “ . . . mere stories or tales told by idiots.”)
The non-dual understanding, grasped by both, led them to share much in common:
Both focused on the chaos which the non-realized masses experienced, chaos which was rooted in the mental and emotional disorders and neuroses and psychoses as well as in what Maharaj referred to as their “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity” and which Shakespeare saw as their “idiocy.”
During Shakespeare’s life, doctors were making advances in the study of mental illness, and Shakespeare did not ignore those advances in his writings.
The influence of “ignorance, stupidity, and insanity” and “idiocy” on the masses were at the core of what both men shared.
Maharaj often discussed the depression that persons suffered, and Shakespeare touched on it as well:
In sooth, (truth) I know not why I am so sad.
It wearies me, you say it wearies you,
But how I caught it, found it, or came by it,
What stuff ’tis made of, whereof it is born,
I am to learn (that is, I do not yet understand).
Those influences rendered the masses unstable. Maharaj pointed that out often, and Shakespeare showed in the masses’ unsteady and volatile and erratic reactions among the masses to the speeches offered at Caesar’s funeral, first supporting the attackers of Caesar and then shortly after ready to kill all of the assassins.
Madness and war were two topics which Shakespeare addressed often, as did Maharaj who understood that the same duality-based forces which drive conflict in “personal relations” are the same duality-based forces which drive conflict and war in “international relations.”
Shakespeare:
“Madness in ‘great ones’ must not unwatched go.”
Maharaj:
“ . . . It is not suffering and death that are your problem, but the meanness and madness at their root. Is not meanness also a form of madness? And is not madness the misuse of the mind? Humanity's problem lies in this misuse of the mind only.”
As Maharaj did, Shakespeare distinguished between “love” as humans see it vs. True Love as non-dualists see it:
“Among the masses he said that “love is merely a madness.”
Among humans, love “is a smoke rais'd with the fume of sighs; being purg'd, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes; being vex'd, a sea nourish'd with lovers' tears; what is it else? A madness most discreet, a choking gall, and a preserving sweet.”
Note the instability and the “Borderline Personality Disorder” type traits which are exhibited by humans who are supposedly “in love.” Maharaj addressed the same and spoke of the illusion of “relationships” which are totally based in dualistic beliefs. (As regular visitors to this site are aware, 59% of all women killed in the U.S. annually are killed by their so-called “lovers.”)
At the heart of humankind’s problems is the Ultimate
Sickness, and it is the non-dual understanding - as offered by Maharaj and Shakespeare and many others throughout history - which serves as the Ultimate Medicine.
Thwe e has, and continues to be, offered by sources all around the masses; alas, most of them cannot hear because there are so many blockages between their consciousness and the messages being offered all around therm.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
