Shakespeare's "Humours" (Continued)

As the non-realized wander or ricochet through the relative, they take their “world” to be a stage (to use the realized poet’s words). Their imagined “world,” then, is conceived to be a stage and “all the men and women, merely players.”
Each plays a role in the Theater of the Lie, in the Drama of Fiction, and eventually they all become convinced that they are the roles being played.
The pain and suffering which come with personality identification(s) have been seen. Why? Because their desire agendas and their fear agendas all generate a sense of separation which leads to conflict and chaos on the “personal,” local, state, national, and international stages where those roles are played.
Now, non-dualists do not speak of any literal benefits and literal perks and literal advantages and literal gains which come with realization because there is no “one” to receive any of those.
Yet there is a relative existence and it is the only existence available during the manifestation, and that existence - via movement along a “path” to freedom from insanity or via a “journey to realization” which leads to freedom from learned ignorance - well, that existence can unfold in ways which generate far fewer problems and far less suffering than might otherwise mark and “mar” a relative existence.
In fact, in the end, Maharaj’s focus was on the phenomenal existence, not on some Noumenal existence. Why?
Realized or not, the Noumenal existence will “take care of itself” because all that happens post-manifestation happens spontaneously and automatically and naturally without any possible input or effect at all.
The only changes which can be impacted by human action must happen during the relative existence.
PHENOMENAL / NOUMENAL SIDEBAR
Maharaj said:
“First of all you identify something as being good or bad for yourself. Then, in an effort to acquire good or to get rid of the bad, you have invented a God. Then you worship such a God and . . . you pray to that God for something good to happen to you.”
The realized "get" that. They understand that, generally-speaking, all is energy / matter; that energy / matter cannot be created (so it has always been); and that energy / matter cannot be destroyed (so it will always be).
Understanding all of that, it becomes clear that no “god” invented mankind and that, instead, mankind - out a duality-based desire to acquire good or to get rid of the bad - selfishly and self-servingly invented (i.e., just dreamed up) gods and goddesses.
Those dreamed up gods and goddesses were believed to have specialties . . . some in charge of fertility, some in charge of war, some in charge of the sea, some in charge of agriculture, some in charge of revelry and festivity and pleasure and wine, some in charge of healing, some in charge of bringing messages from the gods to humans, some in charge of judging and punishing, etc.
Those assuming the “earthly role of message-bringer” (a.k.a, self-appointed priests) told people that, if they looked carefully, the gods were of three types:
“Creator Gods,” “Sustainer Gods,” and “Judge / Destroyer / Punisher Gods.”
The latter gods could destroy enemies threatening holy communities or could destroy bad people who lived in holy communities but were not behaving in holy ways.
Later on, humans would be influenced by the beliefs of Abraham who came up with a new concept claiming that the multiple gods had been inventions of humans and that, actually, there is only “one true god" (as if he was not the inventor of that idea).
It took awhile, but that notion caught on, with one rub:
All of the specialties of the earlier gods were reportedly handled by this one, new, all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent “Super God,” so he was “The God of Creation,” “The God of Sustenance,” and “The God of Judging and Destroying and Punishing,” all-in-one, the first example of the super-size-that marketing technique. (McDonald's, say "Thank you, Abraham.")
And that is how the present "One True But Totally Schizophrenic Personality and Borderline Personality God" of 4.3 billion Jews, Christians and Muslims came into being, a God who can be said to have created you and who can be said to love you unconditionally but who is nevertheless willing to send those he supposedly created and those he supposedly loves unconditionally into an eternity of punishment and pain and suffering if they disappoint him.
(When humans invent concepts, they are historically a real doozie / doozy - meaning, "troublesome" or "problematic" or even "extraordinary.")
When those of us in Ms. Myrtle’s Evangelical Baptist Sunday School class (aged 4 and 5 usually) were told that God loves us unconditionally but also told that god will send us to the physical and mental and emotional torment of hell, of course my hand went up.
At 5, I did not understand per se “logic” and “rationality” and “passing down ignorant concepts from thousands of years ago,” but I did understand when I was hearing bullshit that made no sense.
Yet being logical at times without even knowing that word, I did know when I heard Ms. Myrtle pass on what she had been taught in that same church that it was (a) in the realm of possibility or was (b) total BS.
However, I was not logical enough to restrain myself even after the many times my classmate Betty Ames was sent to the sanctuary and to find my dad and to tell him that Ms. Myrtle wants him downstairs immediately, after which he would be told that I was disturbing her class. At that point, he would take me into the hallways and beat me with the buckle end of his belt for questioning anything reported to me by an authority figure.
Later, back home, he would tell me that he had whipped me like that because he loved me, and I concluded, “Damnation, you really are godly, aren’t you?!”
In my book, so much for anything "Noumenal," but complete and unassailable abandonment of that only came completely years later. I would still have much work to do before the chains of programming, acculturation, etc. were completely broken and fell away. In the meanwhile?

Dad and all his fellow Evangelicals made the "god / loving / punishing linkage” very clear, but not clear enough to stop me from years of being driven by the repetition compulsion to repeat those earlier experiences, to continue to deal with religious persons who were just as brutal as he was, and to fall into the Stockholm Syndrome trap and normalize the behaviors of my tormentors and their insane agendas.
During those early years, the focus was always on the Noumenal because I was taught that “Life’s short, but heaven or hell will be eternal.”
During Maharaj’s early years as he tried to attract a Hindu audience to the loft to sneak some nisargan-related non-dual pointers into the Hindu activities he led there, he was also more focused on the Noumenal.
Later, his focus would shift to the relative and how that existence could be impacted via realization.
Early on, he dealt with Self-Enquiry and seeking to know "the Real Self, the Infinite Self, the Supreme Self," etc.
Later, he would make clear that there is no post-manifestation Self-ness any more than there is any relative existence self-ness.
Thus, he would eventually encourage seekers to give up the search for all those Self Identities and concentrate their efforts on finding out who they are not, that is, seeing how false all of their phenomenal assigned and assumed self identities truly are.
So, any literal benefits or literal perks or literal advantages or literal gains which come with realization aside, there can indeed be some changes in the way that the relative existence will unfold if realization (freedom from ignorance and insanity) happens.
As noted above, post-realization, that existence can unfold in ways which generate far fewer problems and far less suffering than might otherwise mark and “mar” a relative existence if one can be freed from being driven by (1) a nonsensically-programmed and conditioned mind and freed from being driven by (2) the subconscious agendas of false personality identification(s).
Tomorrow: By way of specific illustration, there will be a discussion of two major changes which will come to the relative existence if persons do not, for example, assume the roles of “The Husband” or “The Wife.”

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.
And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?
Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?
The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.
The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
