Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of

As shown during this series, the term "The Dark Triad" was first used eighteen years ago, but it seems to be receiving more and more attention lately. Why? For several reasons:
First, the personality traits of narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy - all three of which are distinct but which have been shown in this discussion to be overlapping - have become so widespread and prevalent that they can be said to be commonplace and the new abnormal norm.
1. Acquaintances whom I speak with regularly and who are therapists report that they are finding those three personality traits showing up more and more among their clientele.
2. Those in the news are showing the traits more often than at any time in the past.
3. The thoughts and words and actions of political and religious and business leaders around the globe are being revealed more than ever and they are showing their personality traits of narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy without trying much at all to hide them (as members of those groups did in the past).
The attention those three are receiving is certainly called for because those three personality types may well be the most dangerous and destructive of all, relatively speaking.
Yet during satsang Maharaj did not narrow his focus to any three types. He and many of his contemporaries and predecessors in "the field of non-duality" warned about the relative hazards of all personality identification (and he would eventually discuss not only the delusion of accepting false self identities but also the delusion involved with seeking Self Identities).
Let's review his specific take on the distortion of personality identification:
“Wisdom tells me I am nothing.”
“There is no such thing as a person. There are only restrictions and limitations. The sum total of these defines the person. You think you know yourself when you know what you are. But you never know who you are. The person merely appears to be, like the space within the pot appears to have the shape and volume and smell of the pot. See that you are not what you believe yourself to be. Fight with all the strength at your disposal against the idea that you are nameable and describable. You are not. Refuse to think of yourself in terms of this or that. There is no other way out of misery, which you have created for yourself through blind acceptance without investigation.”
"After the information given to you by the mother, that you are a boy or girl, all your further acquisitions are by hearsay."
"Both experience and experiencer will disappear."
“Before this knowledge ‘I Am’ appeared on you, you were absolutely unattached. As soon as the knowledge dawned on you, you became attached to everything around you. Only that false ‘I’ is attached. Everything is just happening, and the false ‘I’ is taking the credit for doing things.”
“When you are thoroughly knowledgeable, you will come to the conclusion that this beingness is also an illusion.”
“When the birth is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning of this world—everything—is disproved.”
“Your burden is of false self identifications. Abandon them all.”
“All depends on you. It is by your consent that the world exists. Withdraw your belief in its reality and it will dissolve like a dream. "The world is nothing but the picture of your own 'I' consciousness."
I have very little awareness of what is happening in the field of country music but a site visitor found a recent article about a presently popular country and western singer (whose popularity will surely be falling in some quarters). She sent the content from a recent interview of singer Chris Stapleton and said, "This is what 'the dawn of awakening' might look like, n'est-ce pas?"
In light of some of Maharaj's pointers shared above today, the singer's comments are relevant so some of them will be shared here today.
During the interview, Stapleton was asked about the controversial and widespread protests that have been happening throughout the nation following the May 25 death of George Floyd while in police custody.
[George Floyd is the black man who was held down on the street by three policemen while a fourth held back the crowd. The lead officer placed a knee on Floyd's neck for 7 minutes and 46 seconds (a revised total from what was originally reported). Even after the man told the officer time and again that he could not breathe, the policeman continued to apply the pressure to his neck until George Floyd died.]
Stapleton told the interviewer Anthony Mason that recent events have given him "a 'broad awakening' about what’s really going on in the country."
Chris Stapleton said recent protests against systemic racism and police brutality have made him realize that the America he thought he was living in is . . . a “myth.”
You think? Consider . . .
a. This is a country in which the killing of millions of indigenous people in order to take their land and sequester the few remaining on "reservations?"
b. This is a country which still honors a Methodist minister and mass murderer named John Chivington who attacked a peaceful group of unarmed Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians at Sand Creek, Colorado. This is a country which widely endorse the psychopathic orders he gave to his troops to scalp those people, cut off the penises of the men and the breasts and vaginas of the woman, rip the children from the wombs of any pregnant women, hang all those bodies and body parts from their saddles, and then go on a tour, riding through towns in a military-parade-style as "Americans" lined the streets and cheered the slaughter and gruesome display of bodies and body parts.
Was Chivington ever punished? Hardly. Instead, the state of Colorado renamed the town near Sand Creek "Chivington" in his honor. The name of that town remains to this day. For details of what happened to me when I visited that town and asked why the people accepted the naming of their town for a mass murderer, you can search the murderer's name on this site. Let it be said that I was fortunate to escape with my life.
c. This is a country which allowed "Americans" from 1619 to 1865 to buy and sell and abuse people if their skin was black. This is a country which still honors with Confederate monuments and statues all across the country those who formed "the Confederate Army" and who started a civil war and fought to try to preserve the institution of slavery.
[Presently, even though a few of those statues have been removed, there are still nearly 1,600 more that stand. Additionally, as a real zinger to black citizens, there are nine Confederate figures in the National Statuary Hall Collection in the United States Capitol Building. Those are all monuments to traitors but are also monuments to a duality-based belief system which thrives and is vigorously active among more than half of the U.S. population.]
d. This is a country which has invades other countries for generations and which has started wars and occupied other nations all around the globe for economic benefit.
The examples are endless, but the majority of the schools in the U.S. are still presenting a "white-washed" version of history which is producing generation after generation of children who, as was the case with Stapleton, believe in an image of "America" that is as total "myth."
To continue:
"I think everybody should be doing more," Stapleton said. "It's time for me to listen. And it's time for other folks to listen."
He admitted that he hasn’t been looking at the United States the same way since all this began.
“You know, I thought we were living in a different country."
Now?
"I feel like the country that I thought that we were living in was a myth."
When asked if he supports the Black Lives Matter movement, the country singer didn’t mince words in his response.
“Do I think Black lives matter? Absolutely. . . I don't know how you could think they don't."
Now that may well be a major career-deal-breaker for Stapleton, considering the mindset of many of his C and W fans (or former fans); yet in Stapleton we can see one who is awakening enough and who is brave enough to put his money where his mouth is.
Moreover, his new views and perspectives are aligned with those of Maharaj when Maharaj said:

not. It is there as long as I want to see it and take part in it. When I
cease caring, it dissolves. It has no cause and serves no purpose. It
just happens when we are absent-minded. It appears exactly as it looks,
but there is no depth in it, nor meaning.”

Here,
with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god,"
the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation
to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.
THE EXPLANATION
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
THE EXPLANATION
If
looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total
waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are
resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they
are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning?
There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept
of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa
Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in
close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and
glorify and give thanks to."
The
reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god
that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're
dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with
narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism
evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next,
in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had
her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part
of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the
"loving and caring" part.
"That
is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not
an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or
anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to
want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the
'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and
caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love
and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That
said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core
concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional
courage required to question the very existence of their institution in
light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children
and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of
billions of their members past and present.
And
that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about
why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to
continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and
conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will
they? Not likely. Why?
Because
what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the
international crime families which hold sway over the masses as
criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major
international crime families and which are the most influential and have
the largest memberships?
The
Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion
followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while
laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank);
Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers)
like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and
sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created
environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies
like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With
all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership
ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be
they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business,
politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and
they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the
driving forces at play.
The
masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their
groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem
because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the
people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the
masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved
with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the
continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate
the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types
of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
