TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. [See the offer in gold text following this post for details on how you can watch a retreat on video which includes a detailed discussion of all seven of the steps on the path as used by Maharaj]

2. Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns. See the green text after today's post for the full meaning and implications of that.

3. A new video ("Number Ten: Awakening Together Satsang, March 2018") has now been added in the far right column of this page, offering the opportunity to view a recent 2018 satsang session with Floyd being interviewed by Regina and Jacqueline of "The Awakening Together Group." (See the details in the blue text after this post.)

4. Some prefer paperback books even if they have to wait a day or so to receive it and have to pay more for a printed book and its shipment. Now, 10 paperback books by Henderson are in print and available in two anthologies through Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and over 40,000+ booksellers around the globe including in the Americas, Germany, India, Italy, Poland, Russia, China, Spain, Brazil and South Korea. See the end of this post in red text for details.

5. Would you like to have us send to someone as a gift from you a copy of any ebook in our inventory? See the offer in purple text at the end of this post.

6. Or, you may purchase a Floyd Henderson Shopify Gift Card here for someone and offer recommendations for the books in Floyd's store which might be of assistance to them.

7. You may click here to visit Floyd's bookstore
which offers both digital books and paperback books which deal with non-duality, non-duality-based fictional adventures, recovery, financial sanity, financial planning, and more.

The Pure, Universal Consciousness,

Pure Awareness,

and a

"Proper Perspective"

“I talk to you from the perspective of the universal consciousness.”

---Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

If the message behind the content of the last two posts is understood, then one might be able to understand these pointers which were being alluded to:

1. All desires and fears are rooted in body and mind and personality identification.

2. Every assumed identity has a primary desire and a primary fear.

3. Fear results when a mind which is identified with a persona (a false identity) registers a sense that there is the chance that the agenda and desires of the persona might be interfered with or endangered or even "terrorized," and that irrational conclusion will simultaneously trigger a fear that the body is also in danger or might be "terrorized."

[To clarify, how might the persona of "The Husband" be interfered with? All personas - in order for their roles to seem to be real identities - require a co-dependent, counterpart player

"The Employer" must have those willing to play "The Employees"; "The Teacher" requires one or more willing to play "The Student" or "The Students"; and "A Spouse" requires only willing to play the role of  "A Spouse."

So if the one playing the role of "The Wife" approaches the one playing the role of "The Husband" and announces, "I'm leaving you," then the role of "The Husband" most assuredly feels as if it is being hurt or interfered with or is being attacked or is even being "destroyed."]

4. All fear is based in faulty perspectives, so persons who are far more likely to be killed by someone they know will usually ignore that statistical fact, will block out any fear of "the known" (i.e., of the people they know), and will focus instead on a fear of "the unknown" or "the other."

5. The fear of "death" - of being killed - is ultimately about the body, and being identified with the body is evidence of being as far removed from truth as one can be.

Specifically, the majority of the humans in a nation can believe that there is a distinct possibility that they and their entire nation is in imminent danger and that they may well be harmed by unknown terrorists rather than by the people they know.

Again, 59% of all women in the U.S. who are murdered annually are killed by someone they know, that is, by a mate, a lover, or a spouse during a breakup.

Talk about a warped perspective, yes? To fear unknown persons while being totally oblivious to the far greater potential of being harmed by someone known, if harm does indeed come.

From the book below entitled “A Different Perspective”:

The content here is for those that are willing to consider that I am no different from anyone that comes to visit or from anyone that reads the postings on the non-dual blog or the content in the books offered here. The only possible difference is in . . . perspective.

Certain perspectives here that might differ from perspectives held by "others" are being shared for possible consideration, for a chance to become further enlightened, and for a chance to be freed of the machinations of the mind (which is always being controlled among the masses by warped perspectives).

Once the non-dual understanding happens, then it is also understood that nothing that appears to be different actually is: skin that appears to be different from one human to the next does not make humans different from each other at all; nor does nationality; nor does political affiliation;

nor does sexual orientation; nor does religious affiliation; nor does an absence of any religious affiliation at all. And this too is a fact: some among the realized come out of the silence long enough to speak from the perspective of the universal consciousness while others stay in the silence; that does not make them different, either.

Now, consider the pointers regarding perspective which were shared during these recorded exchanges with guests here as well as visitors to Maharaj’s loft.

The Guest: "But Floyd, I have observed - and so have you - that people living in different nations behave differently. I recall when you dated an Italian woman for awhile. You would go out with my wife and me and I saw that woman kiss you in restaurants and in shopping malls and at home and she was almost always very warm and affectionate and demonstrative;

later, you were with a northern European woman for years, an Aryan, German woman who pulled you aside after you greeted her mother with a hug and told you, 'Don't hug mom - our family does not hug or even touch; we don't go around saying 'I love you'; my parents have never said those words to me in thirty years, so you need to back off a bit'." My wife and I never saw her showing any affection to you.”

F.: "The pointer is not that there are no differences in the ways that persons behave; and, of course, a kind and warm and loving person will behave in a fashion that is diametrically opposite of the way that a cold or even sociopathic person will behave.

"Yet that is about their perspectives, and the way that they were raised in their cultures, and what they witnessed in their childhood homes, and the way all of that now affects their subsequent behaviors. But none of that constitutes a real difference. Would I become involved with that type of cold and unavailable woman nowadays? No.

"The fact that that happened was driven by my own warped perspective and "personal motives" at the time. Could that happen now? Absolutely not. You know that I spend time now with someone who is quite affectionate and loving and available."

G.: "You must agree that Republicans here in the U.S. are different from Democrats? What could be more opposite? The entire nation is polarized, 50-50, right down the middle along political lines because people in those two groups are so different."

F.: "Again, the only difference I ever witness is a difference in perspective and behavior. Beyond that, there are appearances, and appearances are not real."

G.: "I'm still missing something here."

F.: [Goes to retrieve a book . . . finds a passage . . . hands the book to the guest . . . points to the start of the passage . . . and asks him to begin reading the passage aloud]

G.: [Reads out loud from a book contained transcripts from some of Maharaj's talks]:

Questioner: "Maharaj, you are sitting in front of me and I am here at your feet. What is the basic difference between us?"

Maharaj: "There is no basic difference."

Q: "Still there must be some real difference. I come to you, you do not come to me."

M: "Because you imagine differences, you go here and there in search of ‘superior’ people."

Q: "You too are a superior person. You claim to know the real, while I do not."

M: "Did I ever tell you that you do not know and, therefore, you are inferior? Let those who invented such distinctions prove them. I do not claim to know what you do not. In fact, I know much less than you do."

Q: "Your words are wise, your behaviour noble, your grace all-powerful."

M: "I know nothing about it and see no difference between you and me. My life is a succession of events, just like yours. Only I am detached and see the passing show as a passing show, while you stick to things and move along with them."

F.: "Okay, you may stop there. Any clearer?"

G.: "Yes, to a degree, but you must admit if you're honest that you understand a lot more than I do."

F.: "If you use the measurements of knowledge and beliefs, then you will know that I can report that the case here is the same as the case was there in the loft when Maharaj reported:

"I know much less than you do, and I believe far less than you do, for I believe nothing. Recall the story of the blind men and the elephant: each has a different perspective about what an elephant looks like because each is touching only one part, and each part has a very different shape from the other parts.

"The 'difference' in you and me is only in our perspectives: I am not blind and I see the entire elephant while you were once totally blind but now you are beginning to see.

"Yet you have only seen a few parts so far, not the whole. Realize fully and then you will see the functioning of the totality and you will understand all as well."

Recall that "realizing fully," according to Maharaj, simply means

"rejecting belief in all 'learned ignorance'."

That's it. Period, end of story. Realization means nothing more than that.

For those that would be free of delusion-based fears and unattainable desires, they must first be free of their delusion-based perspectives.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
