The Pure, Universal Consciousness,

Pure Awareness,

and a

"Proper Perspective"

“I talk to you from the perspective of the universal consciousness.”

---Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

[Continued from yesterday]

The difference in Maharaj’s pointers and Ruiz’s takeaway of those pointers is that Maharaj never encouraged seekers to be “impeccable” or “perfect” or “faultless” or “flawless” with their word choice.

Seekers could have inferred from such a pointer that they were welcome to use all the words they wanted as long as they used “the right ones”; to the contrary, Maharaj made clear that – if “realized” – (1) it will be the consciousness which speaks . . . or not; and that – if “realized” – (2) the use of words will be curtained, spontaneously.

He said that if seekers who had been totally asleep were to suddenly awaken, and were to see all of the lies so often repeated and once believed, and were then to glimpse the truth, they would be “stunned into silence.”

He made clear that, if "realized," some few might talk from the perspective of the universal consciousness and share pointers but that far more are likely to enter into the silence and to remain in the silence throughout most of the remainder of the manifestation.

Douwe Tiemersma, when introducing Maharaj, said of those who remain trapped in the dogma of a religion or in one or another system of philosophy are certainly prone to use an excess of words, couching “into fine-sounding words their traditional beliefs and ideologies, theological or philosophical.”

He continued: “Believers, however, discover the limited range of meaning and applicability of these words, sooner or later"; thus, he concluded: “What prevails is that which cannot be described, that which is beyond words.”

Truth can be known but not stated, so anything stated by anyone to be the truth is, by default, a lie. The truth can be pointed to, but cannot be expressed in words of any variety – impeccable or not.

Maharaj: “All the objects of consciousness form the universe. What is beyond both, supporting both, is a state of utter stillness and silence. Whoever goes there, disappears. It is unreachable by words, or mind.”

He said: “Just as you do not need to worry about growing hair, so I need not worry about words and actions. They just happen and leave me unconcerned”

and

“Putting words together will not take you far. Go within and discover what you are not. Nothing else matters.”

He said: “The words 'I am man' or 'I am God' have no meaning. Only in silence and in darkness can [the Real] be heard and seen”

and

“I cannot tell what I am because words can describe only what I am not”

and

“Your words do not reach me. Mine is ‘a non-verbal world’. In ‘your world’, the unspoken has no existence. In ‘mine’ - the words and their contents have no being. In ‘your world’, nothing stays; in ‘mine’, nothing changes. ‘My world’ is real, while ‘yours’ is made of dreams.”

Words are the very sustainer of duality. Here, as was the case with Maharaj, there is no "distinguishing from" or "differentiating between"; therefore, there was not "there" and there is not "here" any possibility of expressing such concepts as “different from” and “better than.”

Yes, along “the path,” there were words which Maharaj spoke via the perspective of the universal consciousness which pointed to the reality of things non-dual and the falsity of things dual, but he also pointed out that “Non-distinction speaks in silence [while] words carry distinctions.” In the end, he concluded, “It is useless to struggle with words to express what is beyond word

If seekers finally return to "the Child No-Knowing State,” then they might also move to the next state. There, the “True Self” (the Pure Witnessing state) is entered into by those continuing along "the path." Of that state, Maharaj said that it is a state of “detached awareness, passionless and wordless.”

See? No encouragement at all to use words; rather, a great deal of inviting seekers to abandon that habit.

It can be asked, therefore, “WHO – what ego-state – is driven to go to an assembly once a week or several times a week or five times a day and hear and speak words (and words which are delusionally deemed to be “holy” at that)?”

And WHO wants to go to one or more meetings a day and listen to words being used to express insane thoughts from persons claiming – based only in their own faulty self-diagnosis – that they "were insane in the past but are no longer insane now"?

(To give up doing one self-defeating and self-destructive act while continuing to engage in dozens of other self-defeating and self-destructive acts is no evidence at all of having been restored to sanity.)

And WHO wants to go to one or more meetings a day and express words delusionally deemed to be “spiritual”?

And WHO is driven to use words intended to make others love them?

And WHO is driven to use words intended to make others admire them?

And WHO is driven to use words to try to reform “others” and “the world”?

And WHO is driven to use words intended to control “others”?

And WHO is driven to use words intended to teach more and more concepts and beliefs to "others"?

WHO - what ego-state - is driven to talk and talk and talk?

[NOTE: Moreover, finding the answer to those questions can possibly prepare all who have been fooled about “what realization is” to be freed from their belief in the falsehoods and fabrications and the plethora of misleading pointers to which they have been exposed.

Those falsehoods and fabrications and misleading pointers have complicated what should be a simple process for being freed from the effects of the key symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness which Maharaj identified as “(learned) ignorance, stupidity and insanity.”

Admittedly, Maharaj for decades occasionally allowed visitors to influence him to engage in their misdirection and to discuss the convoluted teachings which had been added to a simple process which provided a means for being free of mind problems (which is all that “ignorance, stupidity and insanity are about”) and to take a detour with them down the long and winding path which they wanted to travel instead of staying on the simpler direct path to realization.

The point is set forth regularly that there is no “one” here, so there can be no one here that believes anything or that can want you to believe anything; therefore, there can be no one that wants you to learn anything from what is presented here and there can be no one that wants you to believe anything presented here.

To the contrary, the deal here is about un-teaching those whose paths cross this site. It is about offering to all that come this way to un-learn all that they have learned or believe in order to realize.

Now that’s a different perspective, is it not?

And recall that realization  - per Maharaj – simply refers to being free of belief in all learned ignorance. He said, That is all realization is: being free of belief in all learned ignorance.

He explained that realization is nothing more than being freed from all belief in the rubbish and nonsense which is taught and which is accepted as truth by the masses who accept unquestioningly whatever an authority figure tells them, no matter how ignorant or stupid or insane that any authority figure’s thoughts and words and actions might be.

And that’s a different perspective as well, is it not?

The odds are great that for most seekers, whatever they’re doing or saying or reading or talking about or listening to actually has not a damn thing to do with awakening or enlightenment or realization.

Jed McKenna (which may or may not be a pseudonym) offered what he called “a simple test” to see if what you’re doing or saying or reading or talking about or listening to is really about realizing and awakening or not. He said:

“If it’s soothing or comforting, if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy; if it’s about getting into pleasant emotional or mental states; if it’s about peace, love, tranquility, silence or bliss; if it’s about a brighter future or a better tomorrow;

if it makes you feel good about yourself or boosts your self-esteem, tells you you’re okay, tells you everything’s just fine the way it is; if it offers to improve, benefit or elevate you, or if it suggests that someone else is better or above you;

“if it’s about belief or faith or worship; if it raises or alters consciousness; if it combats stress or deepens relaxation, or if it’s therapeutic or healing, or if it promises happiness or relief from unhappiness, if it’s about any of these or similar things, then it’s not about waking up.

“Then it’s about living in the dreamstate, not smashing out of it.

“On the other hand, if it feels like you’re being skinned alive, if it feels like a prolonged evisceration, if you feel your identity unraveling, if it twists you up physically and drains your health and derails your life, if you feel love dying inside you, if it seems like death would be better, then it’s probably the process of awakening. That, or a helluva case of gas."]

And that’s also a different perspective, is it not?

To continue:

Besides being stunned into silence by finally seeing all that was thought to be true but was actually all false, silence is fostered in many cases by the languages used by people who were not trapped in the nonsense and egotism of excessive talking.

For example, much can be understood about the "character" of certain peoples if one understands which words were (and which words were not) included in their language.

The original tongue of the one called "my Cherokee grandmother" had no words for “hate,” “war,” “greed,” “contend,” “competition,” “separation,” “holy,” "ownership," "accumulate," "money," "capital," "possess," "own," “apart from,” “my,” “mine,” "unique," "special," "possessions," “rival,” or “duality.”

Contrast the words absent from their language with those used so often by those speaking in other languages. While the original Cherokee language had no word for “hate,” the Anglo-Saxon / Aryan language includes these words:

"hate, hatred, animosity, loathing, enmity, abhorrence, disaffection, alienation, coolness, disgust, and estrangement" as well as all the related words such as "resent, resentment, dislike, repugnance, revenge, despise, venomous, bitterness, detestation, umbrage, and antipathy.”

Even the inclusion of such words in their language reveals much about the centuries-long fighter and warrior and plundering mindset of Aryans, and because the movement among humans is from thought to word to action, then the words of the Aryans – and of other persons who have behaved as they have behaved - have always served as an accurate predictor of their behavior, both in centuries past as well as in the present.

In August of 2005, site visitor Sim sent the following: “I just watched a 60 Minutes segment on river people named the Moken. They had no words for 'when' or 'want.' Time was not a concept of theirs, so they don't understand questions like 'How old are you?' If they catch a fish for breakfast, they aren't even thinking of lunch. There's just 'now.'

“A boat of kinsmen could pull up and it doesn't make any difference whether it's been 1 week, 1 year or 5 years. To them, it's the same. As to 'want,' they have words for give or take, but they don't understand 'want' and do not accumulate since they live on the sea. It’s really something, the way our language drives our thinking, huh?”

Certain words are never used by the “fully realized Advaitin,” and it is “an economy of words” rather than any “impeccability of words” which happens.

Based in the experiences here, it is no easy task for seekers to find the teacher that is not just repeating what she / he has heard but is also sharing what is known within—and what was always known within. Most approaches recommend learning more and more from outside sources and from supposedly "holy texts" and from listening endlessly to explanations about what the words in those texts "really mean."

It is one thing to repeat words read or heard. It is quite another when the unblocked consciousness speaks as the pure, universal consciousness rather than as a relative repeater of words gathered from external sources.

That is why years can be spent in fruitless seeking if one does not have some means by which to avoid those whose “tell’s” expose the fact that “true realization” (being truly free of all ignorance and insanity and magical thinking) is not present.

[And the ramifications of programming and acculturation manifest so early on that they will seldom ever be discarded. I was around a six-year old girl recently. She told one of her relatives, "Our house is so much bigger than your house." Then she added, "Of course, you own and we rent, so which is better?" As they departed, she noticed some coins on her grandmother's table. After looking around to be sure no one was watching, she slide the coins into the palm of her hand, put them in her pocket, and walked out. Compare. Contrast. Differentiate. Accumulate. And all that at the age of six. What similar but more extreme actions and beliefs will dominate her adult age thinking and behavior?]

Next, if dualistic words or terms are used, they can serve as “tell’s,” revealing that “true realization” has not happened. One site visitor shared this observation about her niece: “I was fascinated as she began to acquire language – how this device begins to cut up the unified field into separate ‘bits.’ Our languaging actually needs to be changed to reflect Reality and to stop passing on and supporting duality-based thoughts and words and actions.”

What happens among those seekers who are finally freed of learned ignorant and insanity to reflect that state of freedom? First, words are not used nearly as often. Secondly, the words that are used will change post-realization. Next, the words employed reflect both “Reality and reality” and do not "cut up verbally the unified field into separate bits."

To the seeker asking how to know if a teacher has reached a state of “true realization,” the suggestion is to (1) understand that there is no "teacher" and then (2) witness honesty and objectively the words and language being used.

If “realized,” words that support non-dualistic concepts and beliefs about "different from" and "better than" and "special" and "Special" and "self-ness" and "Self-ness" will never be spoken except to proclaim how nonsensical all of those concepts are.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."

--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places

but are states of mind, nothing more than

concepts dreamed up by men."

--Pope John Paul II

"There is no hell."

--Pope Francis, the current pope

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present.

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why?

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships?

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play.

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

Five Free eBooks

Compliments of Andy Gugar, Jr.,
the following eBooks are available without charge for you or for friends:

I.
"GOOD vs. EVIL?" or "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and INSANITY?"

The content of this eBook deals with one of the most common but erroneous beliefs that the non-Realized masses cling to and which they will fight about (and even kill over), namely, that there is a planet-wide duel going on between “the forces of good and evil” in the universe.

Either (1) the ancient view is spot on: that the "ills of the planet" are rooted in evil people, in people not being religious enough or spiritual enough, and are caused solely by bad morality; or, (2) the "ills of the planet" are rooted in ignorance, stupidity and insanity and "being good" or "being moral" does not put an end to ignorance, does not eliminate stupidity, and does not treat insanity in any way.

II.
"THE VISION"

Comments regarding the free eBook entitled “THE VISION”:

“My thanks to you and Andy.” – Andrew “Mac” McMaster

“Thanks so much for the book! And, by the way, it is brilliant and the most effective pointing that you have done. It has served to help clear the remaining blockages.” – Stan Cross

“Greatly appreciate having “THE VISION” added to my Henderson resource library that is situated on the right side of my bed for easy access! Eternally grateful for what was received and what was given.” – Robert Rigby

“‘THE VISION’ is such a well-written, condensed version of the Nisarga Yoga approach to understanding and enjoying Reality that I feel it can serve as a must-read ‘meditation guide’ for all earnest seekers.” – Andy Gugar, Jr.

III.
"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

Dr. Robert Maurice Sapolsky is an American neuroendocrinologist; a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University; a researcher; an author; and a Research Associate at the National Museums of Kenya.

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.

This 337-page eBook discusses those issues in detail.
