#3: background and culture
A few nations have remained largely monoethnic (single race) countries throughout their history: Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Hungary, Haiti to name but a few. Nazi Germany was all about “ethnic cleansing” and “ethnic nationalism” with a desire to become a monoethnic / single race nation.
In the U.S., after the slaves became free after the confederate states were defeated by U.S. Government forces, the losers of that war between the states began a series movements to kill off or “export” non-whites out of the U.S. Their new battle cry became, “Send ‘em back to Africa” (which is where they came from after being kidnapped and shipped to the American Colonies and sold as chattel).
That plan and the war between the states were both rooted in beliefs about the validity of the theories of white supremacy and eugenics. Eugenics is the scientifically-erroneous theory of “racial improvement” and “planned breeding.”
Eugenicists worldwide believed that they could perfect human beings and eliminate so-called social ills through genetics and heredity. Most of the Germans in the 1930’s bought into Hitler’s claim that Germanic genes were of the highest quality of all and that the Germans, therefore, had always been a Super Race until inbreeding and intermingling reduced the quality of the genes.
His plan was to eliminate all non-Germans from the country, especially Jews but also homosexuals, Gypsies, all that were “handicapped” (including those with mental and physical disabilities) and political opponents as well as Jehovah’s Witnesses, “subhuman Slavs, and “asocials”
(which included the unemployed, the homeless, welfare recipients, prostitutes, beggars, alcoholics, and drug addicts, blacks, and people caught listening to music performed by U.S. African-American Jazz artists. Those were placed into what the Nazis’ called their “Euthanasia Program.”
The “Final Solution” Plan for eliminating Jews resulted in the murder of six million Jewish people; the “Euthanasia Program” killed another six million people.
Those listed above who were placed in Nazi Germany’s “Euthanasia Program” have also been the same type persons whom I’ve heard fanatical white nationalists and white supremacists in one particular political party in the U.S. also suggest should be eliminated.
Countries marked by hate / love-based dualistic beliefs are most often the nations with a polyethnic population who want to create a monoethnic population (as has been the case in the U.S. for over 150 years). Brexit was also about that desire; the increasing number of governments around the globe that are electing fascist, white supremacist leaders are also about that desire.
Those raised with such backgrounds in such cultures are especially prone to adopting dualistic beliefs.
#2: xenophobia
Relatedly, xenophobia involves a dislike of, or prejudice against, people from other countries or people of “other” races.
In the U.S., children hear from adults early on who tell them that “we are the greatest country on earth.” Really? Based in what fact-based criteria?
What are some of the causes of xenophobic beliefs?
Contributing factors to the development of xenophobia - per research - can include “low self-esteem”, “ignorance,” and “illiteracy.” Those driven by “low self-esteem”, “ignorance,” and “illiteracy” have been seen to share perceptions / misperceptions based in programming, conditioning, etc., rather than in facts.
#l: religion (and / or spirituality and / or ideologies and / or philosophies)
No source has contributed more to the body of dualistic beliefs than religion. From the belief of religious persons that they can accurately identity what is good vs. what is bad; what is right vs. what is wrong;
what is okay vs. what is not okay; etc., etc., etc., they have earned their place in both history and in the present as the number one source of duality-based beliefs and, thus, the Ultimate Sickness.
Consider:
Of the more than 7.753 billion persons on the planet, where do 2.382 billion Christians and 1.907 billion Muslims and 1.161 Hindus and 500 million Buddhists and the other 2.3 billion or so others go to find the answer to their duality-based based beliefs and such questions as . . .
“What is right and what is wrong?” and “What is good and what is bad?” and “What is okay vs. what is not okay?” along with hundreds of thousands of other question which all deal with duality?
Most go to preachers, priests, religious cult leaders, evangelicals and television evangelists, or to ayatollahs, imams, mullahs, muftis, caliphs, or to rabbis, or to swamis and a Brahman or to a host of other religious leaders,
or
they go to the supposedly “holy” writings of various religions and they search for answers in those duality-based / duality-belief-promoting writings.
Thus the point that “No source has contributed more to the body of dualistic concepts and beliefs than religion.” They have had a near-monopoly for 5000 years or more of spreading dualistic beliefs and earning their #1 ranking.
What other “-ism” could come even close? Politicians might be the runner-up, but they are not even close to being the #1 super spreader of false beliefs and dualistic beliefs.
As for those religious leaders, all are practitioners of magical thinking, and duality-based beliefs are rooted in exactly that type of thinking. What about those in the group that asserts “I am not religious, dammit it! I am spiritual!!”
The same magical thinking is there, and those “Spiritual Giants” are dangerous, relatively speaking. They have told millions and millions of addicts all around the globe that only “the God Option” can lead to their being helped; however, they even offer an addendum to that: “Even that can only happen on a daily - not on a permanent - basis.”
Would you continue to visit a doctor who told you, “We can cure your cancer, but the cure is only good for 24 hours” or would you take your pet to a vet who told you, “We can stop your pet’s diarrhea but the treatment only lasts for one day so you’ll have to bring the pet back in here each day because only we have the answer for your pet’s problem”?
Yet most of the 7.753 billion persons on the planet blindly and unquestioningly go along with exactly that kind of BS plan.
Only 24 hours of relief? Good enough for me. Let’s rock and roll together. What's the charge? With the Spiritual Giants: “Just a small daily contribution.” With all others: “Ten percent of everything you earn, but we’ll be sending you an additional solicitation when we start our next building fund drive.”
