Today's Considerations

In the book The Relative Results of Returning to "The Child Ignorance Stage" or "The Child No-Knowing State, “Chapter Four” entitled Faulty Programming, Distorted Conditioning, Bizarre Domestication, Duality-Reinforcing Acculturation, and the Relative Curse of Conditional Happiness includes the following:

Earlier, the invitation to understand the difference in conditional happiness and unconditional happiness was offered. As long as the consciousness is manifested, there will be externals involved with the basic requirements of even the unconditional variety of happiness, yet normal requirements are minimal: adequate food, clothing, shelter, and wellness.

What blocks the manifestation of unconditional happiness and encourages conditioned and conditional happiness? Most know that by the age of two, conditioning has already begun, but it can actually begin even during a child's earliest days. Here's an example where that scenario is playing out:

A woman with an eating disorder has been observed over the years as she has used food mainly to try to provide comfort rather than to provide nutrition. The complications that followed her Lap-Band Surgery are still manifesting a year after the process. Recently, there has been a witnessing of the behavior of one of her daughters who is trapped in the same addiction and who recently “gave birth” (as it is called) to a child.

She began over-feeding the child from day one and now wonders why the child cannot keep down all of the unbelievably large quantities of milk that the mother is allowing the infant to consume. After only three months, the pediatrician has warned that the child is overweight and must be fed less - adumbrating the warnings given by many of the friends and relatives of the mother. The point? It was noted above that conditioning "can actually begin even during a child's earliest days," and that is the case here.

Now, the child at the age of three months has already been conditioned to desire more food than it needs, even as the child's excessive eating is leading to regular occurrences of projectile vomiting of the excess quantities that it is drinking. (See how alcoholics can be conditioned from early on by addictive parents to follow the pattern of drinking to excess / vomiting / and then drinking to excess again?)

Even though the child has not develop a vocabulary and cannot yet be taught ignorance overtly, an insane belief has, nevertheless, already been implanted covertly . . . that insane belief being that “excessive quantities of food can provide comfort, even though it is likely to provide discomfort as well, and that’s just fine.” And the mother has the insane belief that “giving my child excessive quantities of food can be helpful to me by quieting the child and making it sleep, even though it is also likely to make the child sick and cause it to vomit.”

Those beliefs provide evidence of the presence of the symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness - symptoms which Maharaj identified as “ignorance and stupidity and insanity” - and affirm Maharaj’s pointer that those symptoms are passed down generationally "by way of conditioning," he said.

In the case of that mother and her child, and that mother’s mother as well, the vacuum caused

by the obvious non-existence of a maternal instinct in her

and

by the mother’s desire to use food to keep a child sedated so that the mother does not have to be bothered with the typical childcare responsibilities which many mothers meet instinctively

and

by the absence the most basic understanding of the long-term consequences of both wise and unwise child-rearing techniques

has led to another generation of offspring being subjected to the ignorance and insanity that is passed down from one generation after another, ad infinitum

[All who come across the third version of the Ultimate Medicine which Maharaj offered (that is, the non-dual / psychological version) have the potential to break that chain and interrupt the otherwise continuous flow of ignorance and insanity from one generation to the next. All others will likely spend an entire relative existence trapped in their hand-me-down ignorance and insanity.]

It is one thing that the rate of genetic defects worldwide has reached six percent (totally some 7.9 million children annually), leading to a variety of life-long impediments for them; it is quite another thing when almost 100% of those arriving without such genetic obstacles are almost assured to be given, early on, both mental and emotional defects which will become life-long obstructions and obstacles and hindrances.

The overfed, typically sleepy child mentioned above is seemingly making the mother's life easier by overeating (some regurgitating and stomach discomfort with the child notwithstanding) and the result is that the beat goes on for another generation.

This is certainly the third generation in that family that is behaving in an ignorant and insanely-addictive manner, and likely there were many generations before with ancestors having been addicted to something, even if not food. The child is experiencing conditional happiness as a result of externals being used to provide comfort, and the mother is doing the same, just as her mother did before her.

Yet the real Sickness is internal; that is, the Sickness – as Maharaj later came to see it -  is a mental / psychological Sickness which (among other effects) renders persons dependent on an excess of externals; and that is at the heart of the mother's and the daughter's, and now the child's, conditional and conditioned "happiness."

Maharaj’s spoke of the “learned ignorance” that is passed down from one generation to the next, and many take that as a reference to the factually-incorrect information which is being passed along verbally. To the contrary, there are many other ways to pass down ignorance (and not just genetically).

In many cases, ignorance is modeled by a parent and then copied by a child; in many cases, ignorance can be transmitted by a disapproving “look” or an approving “look” when a child displays ignorance or when a child mimics its parents’ dualistic or insane or prejudicial beliefs.

Regular visitors to this site are familiar with white supremacist Dylann Roof,

raised in a state in the U.S. that has the reputation for having the highest population of whites per capita who feel hostile toward black people.

Roof entered a predominantly-black church and sat for an hour with members who welcomed him, after which he stood, took out a gun, and killed six black women and three black men, shouting that “you rape our women and you’re taking over our country so you have to die." When he was arrested for gunning down those nine black people, he confessed that he intended to “start a race war.”

Now to the point regarding subconscious and conscious generational influences. What was passed down by his father?

Roof's dad

was violent, especially with his second wife; he is on record as having manipulated, insulted, controlled, and beaten her in front of his son, modeling and normalizing all of that behavior in the mind of his son; he allowed his son to live with him and enabled his drug use in the home;

he allowed his son to play violent video games all day long instead of requiring him to find employment; and he was the one who bought a gun for his a son who - like so many of the whites in that culture - was openly expressing his hatred of blacks (words used as the son merely regurgitated the anti-black rhetoric he heard in the home, in schools, in white-owned businesses, and in many white churches in communities all across that state and in many others).

See? It’s not just factually-inaccurate information that is being passed down from one generation to the next. (In the case of South Carolina and much of the southern U.S., many whites are now into the sixth generation that has continued to worship as heroes their ancestors who fought against the federal government in an effort to preserve the institution of slavery. See? Generational.)

That which is being passed down that is the most detrimental to the humans all around the globe, relative speaking, includes false, egotism-based identities; distorted ideas; and perverted perceptions. In short, what is being passed down are “ignorant and insane and totally BS belief systems.”

Next, imagine the effects on a planet-wide basis as distorted conditioning is happening, not only in regards to feeding and eating habits but in every realm. Early on, children are conditioned to think a certain way, to talk a certain way, and to behave in certain ways, all of which are shown - by scientific research - to be evidence of ever-increasing rates of distortion and ignorance and insanity on a global basis. Increasing why?

Global levels of ignorance and insanity are increasing as a result of increasing levels of faulty programming, distorted conditioning, bizarre domestication and duality-reinforcing acculturation; then, more and more ignorant and insane persons are breeding and passing on their learned ignorance and personality disorders and the fictional content of their "minds" which have been filled with ideas and concepts and beliefs that were also based in faulty programming, distorted conditioning, bizarre domestication and duality-reinforcing acculturation.

And because the seat of the main problem involved with the Ultimate Sickness is the fictional content of the "minds" of the "non-Realized" persons around the globe, it is the near-universally-distorted "mind" which generates the misery and suffering that is also manifesting on a global basis. And the "mind" is an internal problem (though most try to "treat" the problem with externals). The reason that research is uncovering more and more evidence of ignorance and personality disorders and neuroses and psychoses and full-blown insanity is because persons are looking more and more to externals to address the internal problems, all based in bogus beliefs:

"If only she will marry me, then I'll be able to be happy."

"A man is my plan."

"If I have more children, I will have more people that are guaranteed to give me the love I did not get as a child but am now driven to try to get in huge quantities."

"An excess of externals - such as food, sex, alcohol, drugs, shopping, spending, gambling, work, money, material things, supposedly supernatural and spiritual or religious experiences, ad infinitum - can address the internal condition that is presently so uncomfortable."

The common belief: "I do get some relief from those externals, Floyd. They do help some." The additional, usually subconscious belief: "An internal condition marked by an always-present sense of dis-ease must be addressed with externals."

The result of those beliefs: the internal state becomes dependent on externals, so any "happiness" or "brief respite" or "finite relief" is only a conditional version of happiness rather than an unconditional (and unconditioned) sense of happiness.

Once while walking past a copse of trees and nearby underbrush and thickets, a dozen deer were observed as they rested in what Maharaj called "the cool blue shade."

Only a minimal of externals were involved with their sense of peace: they had grazed earlier, had eaten enough (but not more than enough), and had found some temporary shelter because some approaching clouds indicated there might be a chance of rain. But that was it as far as externals were concerned; with those minimums, they were, obviously, internally content.

That internal contentment was very much like the "unconditional happiness" being discussed and is evidence of the reason that the sages for thousands of years have endorsed de-accumulation rather than accumulation. That is why, here, the de-accumulation of ideas and concepts and beliefs is endorsed, rather than the accumulation of more but merely different ideas and concepts and beliefs.

This was offered earlier for consideration: That is what this "path" and "journey" are about, and if you only reach the fourth of seven steps and only remove the main threat to your system (namely, the "not-you's" and their false beliefs), then completion of even four of the seven steps can make the effort worthwhile, relatively speaking.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
