Today's Considerations
To review, Maharaj advised: “ . . .You should go back,
reverse, to the source”
and
“Follow the same path by which you came”
“Follow the same path by which you came”
and
"Go to zero concepts."
Seekers might as well follow that advice since Maharaj noted accurately: "Whatever
you have tried to understand during your spiritual search will prove false”
anyway.
Additionally, while he referred to the seven steps offered
here (while advising seekers at any given step to move to the next one without
ever identifying the steps or actually enumerating them), he would also make
clear that all seven steps were a part of the “SELF-Inquiry” process, but that
the first four steps offer a “self-inquiry” process and that “you need not really
know WHO You Are” and that “it is enough to know who you are not.”
The understanding of who you are not can be reached by
transitioning the first three steps (a process which would end body
identification, mind identification, and personality identification including identifying
with some “Super Seeker Self” or some “Super Religious Self” or some “Spiritual
Giant Self” or some “Special Self” or some “Infinite Self,” etc.)
That transitioning would
allow for a return to "The Child Ignorance Stage" or "The Child
No-Knowing State" which was a no-mind, no-concepts, non-dual, no-beliefs
state where unconditional happiness was a possibility . . . a possibility that
was lost once ignorant and insane programming and conditioning and
acculturation and domestication and brainwashing and indoctrination corrupted
the original quiet emptiness of the part of
the brain where nonsense is stored and began filling that peaceful void with chaos-and-instability-generating
nonsensical beliefs in what would come to be known as "the content of one's mind").
The seven-step "path" is for some. For others, the invitation is to at
least reach the fourth step "Child Ignorance Stage" or "Child
No-Knowing State. "In the video to the right entitled THE RATIONALE FOR
COMPLETING "THE SEVEN-STEP JOURNEY, Part Three," the discussion includes
the following, and more:
That which is pointed to with the phrase "Your Original Nature" was - prior to manifestation - boundless, limitless, expansive, spacious, roomy, vast, unfettered, unadulterated, unrestrained and, therefore, able to move about freely.
The condition that exists when awareness becomes aware of awareness and of Its (Your) Original Nature is also marked by a sense of boundlessness, of limitlessness, of expansiveness, of spaciousness, of roominess, of vastness, of suddenly being unfettered, unadulterated, unrestrained and is, therefore, able to function freely.
What happened in between which left the manifested (and blocked) consciousness with a sense of being bound, limited, fettered, adulterated, restrained and, therefore, unable to function freely?
1. A loss of the original sense of the unicity which had lingered up to about the age of two.
2. The development of a false sense of self and a preoccupation with self-ness and with the physical body.
3. Years of exposure to warped training, programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, indoctrination, psychological incoding, and brainwashing.
The events that marked the beginning of the end of feeling boundlessness, limitlessness, expansiveness, unimprisoned, spacious, roomy, vast, unfettered, unadulterated, unrestrained, free, and able to function freely has been explained this way:
Until the age of about twenty months to two years, a child identifies with the source of its nurturing - in most cases, its mother.
There is a "sense of the oneness" because the child is not yet identifying with its own "self" or with its own body, much less with the basic personality types it will be assigned or have imposed upon it by the age of five or six, and certainly much less than the hundreds of personas that it will be assigned or will adopt if it survives for decades.
At the age of two or so, the child begins to see itself as "a separate self." Rather than "not-two," there develops a sense of two-ness (which is the basic requirement for misidentification and for conflict; hence, "the Terrible Two's," which can last for a year and can generate conflict for that year but which - in many cases - will last for a lifetime and will always generate conflict among the non-Realized masses).
So at age two or thereabouts, Subject-Object witnessing replaces Pure Witnessing. The child at that point begins to abandon any "sense of Self" or sense of the Oneness, a sense replaced by a false sense of self (which will expand into a sense of many selves).
A sense of brokenness and apart-ness and disconnection must follow that. It is unavoidable. Then, relative problems will become truly aggravated as the child that was content with its tabula rasa state (its blank slate, no-mind state) is taught all sorts of dualistic knowledge (a.k.a., learned ignorance) which will, in turn, generate beliefs in . . .
. . . being apart from rather than a part of
. . . better-than-ment
. . . separate and not equal
. . . social strata and hierarchies
. . . accumulation
. . . right religions vs. wrong religions and true believers vs. infidels / sinners
. . . and all sorts of other insanity-provoking, dualistic concepts and beliefs.
How could anyone feel at One (or feel at peace rather than in pieces) with such concepts and beliefs clanging around in the head where a mind has developed and been filled with the belief in such arrogance-based falsehoods?
One cannot, so if one is seeking a sense of Oneness and peace, then the "path" back must take the seeker beyond body-and-mind-and-personality identifications (including "good" identities that are adopted to supposedly replace "bad" identities).
The "path" back must reach at the very least the fourth step of a seven-step "journey" where the seeker "returns" to that previously uncontaminated, previously pure, previously unconditional, previously unconditioned, previously unqualified, previously unambiguous, previously unadulterated, previously clean and previously clear tabula rasa state that existed during the early years of the manifestation.
The invitation offered here is to (A) feel the limitless expansiveness of Pure, Unadulterated Presence (as you last did while functioning as an unconditionally-happy child if your body had been fed and was dry and was warm) and then (B) feel the bonds of the relative existence loosening so much that they eventually drop away.
The invitation is to understand the Original Nature and to abide as That so that the remainder of the relative existence can unfold with a sense of boundlessness, of limitlessness, of expansiveness, of spaciousness, of roominess, of vastness, of suddenly feeling unfettered, unrestrained and, therefore, able to function freely.
Short of Full Realization, the last time you felt the Pure, Unadulterated Presence (and felt awareness of awareness without the encumbrance of aware-of-ness) - was as a no-knowing, no-concept, no-duality, no-thoughts, no-beliefs child.
Consider: once he Realized, the one called Jesus Christ left organized religion; transitioned beyond the Third Step "good" identities and rejected the "son of God" false identity and said, "I am the son of man"; and began sharing the non-duality teachings, explaining that "a dual-minded person is unstable in all ways."
The "going back" nature of "the journey" is what moves the seeker away from an unstable and chaotic existence and allows for a manifestation that is marked by a sense of boundlessness, of limitlessness, of expansiveness, of spaciousness, of roominess, of vastness, of suddenly being unfettered, unrestrained and, therefore, able to move about freely. Why not complete the steps that can bring about that type of existence?
It comes with trillions of endorsements and fairly content "customers" because it is the type of existence which is being engaged in by every living thing on planet earth except for mind-screwed humans.
Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
