REALIZING WITHOUT DOGMA, WITHOUT CONTINUOUS SPIRITUAL PRACTICES, AND WITHOUT A PREOCCUPATION WITH “THE NATURE OF REALITY AND THINGS NOUMENAL": Clarifying Non-Dual Perspectives
In video "Number Ten" in the right-hand column (the video of the "Awakening Together Satsang" session mentioned above) it can be seen and heard that after I offered certain pointers, Regina wisely stated: "Okay, so I'm going to repeat back what I think I'm hearing and then you tell me if I'm hearing correctly or not."
If that is not the stance which a seeker is taking with one offering pointers, then the seeker is wasting her or his time and energy and might as will give up the seeking until ready to take that stance. Why?
Most seekers have the same hearing problems which non-seekers have. Most seekers also have the same hearing problems which the totally non-realized (who have never sought) have.
It is most often the case with humans who have been programmed, conditioned, acculturated, etc. to hear what they want to hear. In the U.S., while totally-objective newscasters are the ideal, there are some media outlets which offer perspectives that are more "progressive" while other outlets offer perspectives which are intended to appeal to ultra-conservatives, members of the far right and alt-right, and those with white supremacy beliefs and even neo-Nazi beliefs.
In both cases, the audiences who are more "left-leaning" and the audiences of who are more "right-leaning" never consider watching any media outlet other than the one which echoes and reinforces their own views and beliefs. Humans are prone to hear what they want to hear, and if they hear something pointing toward a truth which is contrary to their false beliefs, they will almost always tune it out.
They also want to hear what they are accustomed to hearing, so they do not visit venues with a reputation for challenging many of the never-questioned and widely-held concepts which they are often used to clinging to or even willing to fight to defend.
So the fact is that three hundred people can listen to one sharing non-dual pointers but can then walk away with hundreds of different notions about (1) what was actually said and (2) what was said actually meant.
Too, if those at, say, Step Three on "the path" are listening to one with wisdom, then a wise one will eventually offer pointers intended to shift the seeker to the Fourth Step in order to facilitate the abandonment of all of the roles which are played at the Third Step and thereby allow for further movement along "the path."
So today, some of the pointers offered by one with the understanding but often misinterpreted or distorted by listeners will be addressed, including:
1. mistaking witnessing for judging;
2. mistaking the identifying of key symptoms of the Ultimate Medicine (which Maharaj identified as "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity") with "criticizing the masses for being ignorant, stupid, and insane";
3. mistaking (a) the wisdom of witnessing the presence of the symptoms of the most contagious disease of all and (b) the sanity of moving to a healthy environment with (c) the belief that the wise one is believing that she or he is "better than" those with the Ultimate Sickness;
4. confusing one's ability to spot all forms of duality, including the duality-based thoughts and words and actions exhibited by so-called alt-righters, white supremacists, racists, modern-day fascists, those who attack "the other," etc. with the notion that the one able to see duality clearly is also judging and identifying the members of such groups as "the other";
and
5. erroneously accusing Maharaj's expulsion of some from the loft as an act of anger which was rooted in a sense of separation and a sense of superiority.
MISTAKING WITNESSING FOR JUDGING AND MISTAKING THE IDENTIFYING OF KEY SYMPTOMS OF THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE (WHICH MAHARAJ IDENTIFIED AS "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, AND INSANITY") WITH "CRITICIZING THE MASSES FOR BEING IGNORANT, STUPID, AND INSANE"
Post-realization, neither Maharaj (nor I) ever labeled any person as being "ignorant, stupid, and / or insane." That would be impossible because - to start with - post-realization, there is no belief in any person at all.
There are only composite unities mistakenly taken to be persons, and those unities involve plant food elements forming a space through which oxygen and conscious-energy temporarily circulate.
Could one with a clear perspective possibly conclude that certain plant food elements can be "ignorant, stupid, and / or insane" elements? Hardly.
Could one with a clear perspective possibly conclude that the oxygen moving into and out of the space formed by plant food elements could even remotely be believed to be "ignorant, stupid, and insane" oxygen? Hardly.
Could one with a clear perspective possibly conclude that the conscious-energy moving into and out of the space formed by plant food elements possibly be "ignorant, stupid, and insane" consciousness? Hardly.
[There's only blocked consciousness or previously-blocked-but-now-unblocked consciousness. Only the not-blocked version is capable of seeing clearly and thus being exempt from being driven by the "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity" which come with programming, conditioning, etc.]
Instead, the one understanding the way that
(A) "ignorant, stupid, and insane" programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination come to control some sections of the elemental plant food brain (sections which are called "the mind")
and
the one understanding the way that
(B) a mind - once programmed, conditioned, domesticated, acculturated, brainwashed and indoctrinated with "ignorant, stupid, and insane" beliefs by persons who are driven by the "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity" which was passed down to them and which they passed down to the next generation -
will also understand that the realized will always witness clearly and will always immediately recognize when a person is being driven by "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity"
without ever concluding that
the realized are not claiming that any given person is "ignorant, stupid, and insane."
Maharaj, post-realization, functioned under the auspices of an understanding which allowed for Pure Witnessing and which, in turn, allowed him to see "ignorant, stupid, and insane" dualistic influences at play without ever believing that he was observing an "ignorant, stupid, and insane" person.
Evidence of non-realization is present if one claims that such-and-such a person is "ignorant, stupid, and insane."
Evidence of realization is present if one witnesses that one playing a persona is being driven by the kinds of "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity" which manifest after one has been exposed to "ignorant, stupid, and insane" programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination.
While the difference in those two perspectives might appear to be subtle, it is anything but. To fail to differentiate between the two will assure that any and all wisdom-based, non-dual pointers will be misinterpreted.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
