Why So Few Will Ever Be Freed of Their Distorted and Delusional Thoughts and Beliefs, Part One
A woman shared recently that she had been diagnosed with "Silent GERD" a.k.a. "Silent Reflux" a.k.a. "Laryngopharyngeal Reflux"(LPR).
(LPR) is similar to another condition - gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - which results when the contents of the stomach back up (a.k.a., "reflux"), but the symptoms of LPR are often different from those which are typical of GERD.
She had been suffering from esophageal hemorrhaging as a result of the LPR but had none of the other symptoms which manifest with GERD; thus, the LPR went undetected for months. The sickness is similar to high blood pressure or hypertension (often called "the silent killer") in that both can manifest with no obvious symptoms to indicate that something’s wrong.
Because neither she nor the "experts" knew what her "real problem" was, it went untreated for far longer than might have otherwise been the case.
Yesterday, reference was made to the trillions who have been heavily-engaged for thousands of years and into the present day with a variety of religions, spiritual movements, ideologies, philosophies but who - like the woman mentioned above - have a "real problem" which is going untreated because it was not diagnosed. Their real problem: the Ultimate Sickness and the delusional and distorted thinking and beliefs and other symptoms and effects which come with it.
Why does religious and spiritual going and doing and zooming not address their real problem? Because what they were receiving and are receiving in their various venues adds to their distortions and delusions and because their distorted and delusional beliefs have not been diagnosed in those venues and instead have - in most cases - been reinforced and even lauded.
Moreover, just as many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it, and just as is the case with LPR, most persons with the Ultimate Sickness do not have a clue that they have it. The difference?
1. GERD has become a global issue with millions and maybe billions suffering from it to one degree or another, while the number of cases of LPR cannot be known because it continues to go undiagnosed so often;
2. an estimated 103 million U.S. adults - that's 1 in every 3 American adults - have high blood pressure and the estimate is that over one billion persons around the globe suffer from high blood pressure without knowing it;
but
3. the Ultimate Sickness, per Maharaj, likely affects 99.9% of all persons on the planet.
Thus, there is no sickness as prevalent and widespread as the Ultimate Sickness, and there is no sickness which is undetected so often.
LPR is frequently undetected; hypertension is frequently undetected; but the Ultimate Sickness is almost always undetected.
A few might have heard of LPR; more have likely heard of hypertension; but almost none have heard of "the Ultimate Sickness"; therefore, almost all persons will move through their post-programming, post-conditioning, post-acculturation, post-domestication, post-brainwashing, and post-indoctrination existence in a hypnotic, mesmerized, sleep-walking manner, plagued by the undiagnosed and undetected symptoms of the Sickness which include:
according to Maharaj, "ignorance, stupidity, and insanity";
minds filled with distorted and delusional thoughts and beliefs and perceptions;
lives impacted by the mental and emotional side effects of the Sickness;
an inability to distinguish true from false and, therefore, the propensity to believe lies;
a blind willingness to believe that images are real, to have no clue about what who / what they are, a tendency to talk in one's sleep; and the habit of working and driving and walking and talking while asleep;
a blind willingness to accept as true, without questioning to even the slightest degree, the concepts and beliefs that are taught by authority figures and to believe the most unbelievable tales that those figures dream up;
a blind willingness to accumulate the various forms of the sickness and then to pass them along to family members and friends and associates . . . with pride in having done so;
a blind willingness to accept with faith beliefs that have no basis in fact and that cannot possibly be proved; to be so delusional that "one" is believed to be "two" (or more);
a blind willingness to believe that learned ignorance is wisdom; to suffer willingly and repeatedly the consequences of what Maharaj called "learned ignorance"; to lose all ability to detect nonsense when it is heard;
a blind willingness to allow subconscious motivators (a.k.a., personality / personalities) to determine every thought and word and action while believing that one is consciously choosing to think what is thought, to say what is said, and to do what is done; to be asleep but to believe that one is awake;
a blind willingness to be self-destructive; to exhibit impaired judgment; to be unreasonable and illogical; to display unstable and inappropriate emotions (that is, being emotionally-intoxicated); to be religiously or spiritually intoxicated; to have hallucinations (such as believing that you can hear a supernatural being from another world and to believe that such a being is actually talking to you);
a blind willingness to believe that the not-special is special; to believe that absolutes can be applied to things relative; to be disorganized and confused while thinking that you are organized and thinking clearly; to develop extreme dependencies on people and groups and leaders and on powers that are supposedly living in unseen worlds; to be unable to cope; to be in a state of unwarranted fear; to constantly desire more and more of what is already making one sick;
a blind willingness to feel guilt and self-blame that have no basis in fact; to behave like a six-year old child for an entire manifestation, even during "the adult years"; to be preoccupied with "self" (with the false selves or false identities that are assumed and thought to be real); to play a role on a stage and believe the character is real;
a blind willingness to be driven by the hidden agendas of assigned or assumed personas / personalities / false identities;
a blind willingness to believe that a physical, plant food body can disintegrate, re-integrate, and last for eternity and can feel pain or ecstasy for eternity; and
a blind willingness to suffer and then still believe that suffering can be good and can bring with it certain advantages or benefits; ad infinitum.
And most persons will never be freed of their distorted and delusional thoughts and beliefs or any of a myriad of other symptoms and effects because the Sickness is - like hypertension - a "silent killer."
While some eight million people around the globe die annually from high blood pressure without ever having known they had the illness, billions and trillions will eventually die from the Ultimate Sickness during the coming years without ever having known they had the Sickness.
Some will commit suicide; some will commit murder-suicide; as for most women killed annually in the U.S., they will die during a breakup involving persons with the Sickness whose assumed personas believe that they are being attacked;
many will die from the consequences of the Addictive Personality Disorder because millions are driven by the Sickness to try to escape and avoid the realities of the relative existence, killing themselves and / or others while under the influence; and
many will die because they will be killed by the followers of sociopathic and psychopathic leaders who gin up hatred of "the other" and who inspire fighting and conflict and war as those insane leaders seek more and more control and power because both the followers and their leaders have full-blown cases of the Sickness.
Of course all of that "dying" involves the relative only and means nothing in terms of the functioning of the totality because the same ultimate fate awaits all humans, but the one offering the Ultimate Medicine is concerned about alleviating all of the misery and suffering which happens before the "dying" occurs.
Regarding that, Maharaj made clear that there are hundreds of sources of pain, but only one source of misery and suffering, namely, the Ultimate Sickness and its symptoms and effects. Thus, he said, "The teacher's sole concern is with suffering and the ending of suffering."
This pointer has been offered here over the years: "Actually, there are only 'relative results' to anything that happens during the manifestation. There are no 'post-relative-existence results' of any kind because there is no 'one' remaining after the relative existence to experience anything, including 'results'."
How, then, is one to know if he or she has contracted the Ultimate Sickness, much less become willing to seek the Ultimate Medicine to treat that Sickness? More on that tomorrow.

THE EXPLANATION
If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."
The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.
"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
