TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

ANNOUNCEMENTS

[See the offer following this post for details on how you can watch a retreat on video which includes a detailed discussion of all seven of the steps on the path as used by Maharaj]

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns. See the end of the post for the full meaning and implications of that.

A new video ("Number Ten: Awakening Together Satsang, March 2018") has now been added in the far right column of this page, offering the opportunity to view a recent 2018 satsang session with Floyd being interviewed by Regina and Jacqueline of "The Awakening Together Group."

MISTAKING WITNESSING FOR JUDGING AND MISTAKING THE IDENTIFYING OF KEY SYMPTOMS OF THE ULTIMATE MEDICINE (WHICH MAHARAJ IDENTIFIED AS "IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, AND INSANITY") WITH "CRITICIZING THE MASSES FOR BEING IGNORANT, STUPID, AND INSANE," Part Two

So why would any that are realized move away from certain persons? Is that about having judged them and found them to be "unworthy" or "less-than"? Not at all.

Why would I move away those with tuberculosis, malaria, cholera or the Ultimate Sickness who (in the latter case, are disturbing the peace with their loud talk and their noise-making and their duality-driven, nonsensical talk?) That's simple:

Because it is the sane and totally natural response and has nothing to do with arrogance or judging or reproving.

It differs not at all from the deer that move away from the loud teens in this neighborhood who are disturbing their peace by screaming at them, tossing stones at them, running at them, etc. The deer have no arrogant sense of being better-than the teens and have no concepts by which they can judge or reprove the teens, but they can and will - naturally and spontaneously - exercise their discerning tastes and preferences and move toward the type of environment they prefer. In that case, it's a quieter area in the woods, away from "the (otherwise) madding crowd."

When realization happens alongside the understanding of the Nisarga Yoga - leading to abiding naturally rather than unnaturally or supernaturally (i.e., "magically," "religiously," "spiritually," "noumenally," etc.) - then all happens spontaneously and without judgment. One becomes in touch with reality, understanding that "Reality" for now and later at the moment of mahasamadhi will "take care of itself" with no one to "experience" it, influence it, enjoy it, hate it, whatever.

Moreover, if the option is. . .

A. hanging out with one who is "in touch with reality" (meaning not trapped in the "ignorance and insanity" of the Ultimate Sickness and not trapped in delusion and distortion and not thinking magically and supernaturally and regurgitating things heard in religious venues or in "spiritual programs" or at family gathering or at work or on television)

or . . .

B. hanging out instead with one who claims to be "fully in touch with Reality," (meaning focused only on "things Noumenal" and only on things centered in FooFoo Land - "beyond the mundane relative existence" - and only on things deemed to be lofty and Supreme and noble and exalted and elevated and sublime and one who thinks magically and supernaturally and regurgitates words which were regurgitated parrot-style by others),

for me, the choice would be to send over the one in touch with "reality."

The other one is just going to bore the pants off me and will likely exhibit the traits which come with being so "in touch with Reality and only things Noumenal" that such a one will come across as haughty and better-than and proud and supercilious and Self-Important.

Maharaj explained to those types, "You take yourselves to be 'Spiritual Giants.' Compared to you, I would have to be considered a mere spiritual pygmy'."

He also explained to them that they have never moved beyond the "kindergarten level of spirituality" and that - in fact - they "think they are being bathed in the full light of the noonday sun but are actually still standing in the dull light of dawn."

There is nothing post-manifestation for one to impact because there will be no one to do so; by contrast, one can impact the manner in which her or his present manifestation unfolds. The suggestion is to use your energy on what you can change rather than trying to change what does not change and never has and never will.

So, yes, when the loud teenagers show up and run at the deer grazing in the front yard of the house here - yelling, screaming, shouting, throwing things at the deer - the deer move into the woods and retreat back into the silence and peace.

Again, do the deer have a storehouse of concepts by which they can judge and condemn the teens? Do they hate the teens? Do they think they are better than the teens and therefore reject them and leave their presence? Absolutely not. They merely witness the entities which would disturb the peace and then move . . . not-so-much AWAY from the teens as TOWARD a place of peace.

It is one thing to judge. It is another to exercise sane and / or selective tastes.

Some visitors to this site recall that one year, when I arrived in late May at Grandmother's cabin to spend the next three months with her there, she warned me to "stay away from Josh's house." When I asked why, she explained that he had TB and was highly contagious.

I thought she said that he had a "TV," and said, "Well, I don't see how a TV could be contagious and since our family does not have a TV, it might be fun to go to Josh's and watch some programs."

She explained that she did not say "TV" but was warning me about tuberculosis, explaining what that involved and making me understand why it would be the sane thing to do to stay away from Josh.

So I stayed away from him because he was sick. I did not judge him for his sickness, and I did not feel as if he were less-than me because he was sick, but I stayed in the environments which were healthy instead of entering into Josh's environment which was marked by extreme sickness.

The same happens now with those who have the Ultimate Sickness and therefore disturb the peace, but there is no judging those with the Ultimate Sickness and there is - in fact - a willingness to spend time with them if it is clear that they realize that they are sick, if they are seeking the Ultimate Medicine, if the readiness is there, and if the ability to hear is there; otherwise, I move away and continue in abide in a healthy, peaceful environment.

Some persons seemingly love the taste of Brussels sprouts, boiled spinach, beets, turnips, kale, bell pepper, cucumber, and Habanero chili peppers. The fact that I choose not to eat those is a matter of taste and preference, but it does not mean that I think I am too good to eat those foods or that I believe I am entitled to gourmet, French cuisine only. Nor does it mean I hate those foods. Nor does it mean that I think I am better than those who eat those food.

I simply stay away from those foods as a matter of conscious choice, and conscious choices can only be made if one is fully awake and aware and conscious. If not fully awake and aware and conscious, then one will be driven by the nonsensical programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing, and indoctrination which are so commonplace nowadays around the globe.

And being totally asleep, the unawake and unaware and unconscious will be convinced that "they are too making choices!" They will have no clue that their every thought and word and action is being determined by the hidden agendas of their personalities, personas, characters, roles, false selves, whatever.

Be it choices involving the kinds of food which are consumed or choices involving the kinds of company which are welcome or not, none of the conscious choices among the realized are based in arrogance or conceit or egotism or in a sense of superiority; furthermore, none of those conscious choices are based in race or skin color or economic class or sexual preference or gender or abilities vs. disabilities.

Yet - as was the case with Maharaj when those who do not understand the above criticized him for refusing to allow certain persons to stay in the loft but did not allow others to remain for satsang - those lacking the full understanding have no clue at all regarding the factors which determine whether the realized choose to take certain actions or choose not to take certain actions. So it is.

To be continued.

Here, with those who are still driven to talk about "God," the "Son of God," the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.

THE EXPLANATION

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of God in the past was of a weak God, an absentee God, A Santa Claus-type God, a mean, punishing, vindictive God, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring God whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to."

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a God that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring God,' any supposed God that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'God' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part.

"That is, a non-narcissistic god / goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'God' and focus on the 'God as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"

and

"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)

and

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places but are states of mind, nothing more than concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II

"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
[in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record teachings
which are part of the Papal Magisterium]
