HOW TO (AND WHAT TO) REALIZE

To review: 

REGARDING “THE GOOD ROLES”  THAT HUMAN PLAY

If a seeker does transition beyond body identification and mind identification and then begins discarding some of the false personality identifications which have been assigned or assumed and which have been believed to be who she or he has claimed for decades to be, the final hurdle involves mustering the ability and the courage to look objectively at the last remaining identities which are taken to be “good” and even “great” and even “Supreme”  (namely, “The Super Religious One,” “The Spiritual Giant,” and / or “The Super Seeker").

What is to be realized next in that case? 

W. Maharaj helped clarify that: 

"After the information given to you by the mother, that you are a boy or girl, all your further acquisitions are by hearsay" 

and 

“When the birth is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning of this world—everything—is disproved” 

And what might bring about the grandest leap of all which can propel one well along the “path” and to full realization / full freedom from belief in all learned ignorance and false identities, namely, the questioning of what appears in the supposedly “holy” books used to varying degrees by 97% of the persons on the planet. 

Of that, Maharaj said: 

“I have no faith in anything which has ever been told, not even what has been told by the Vedas. Only my own experience.” 

So seekers are invited to understand the final strongholds of learned ignorance and to understand the agendas and motivators and hidden fears and strong desires associated with these three personality identifications : 

“The Super Religious One,” “The Spiritual Giant,” and / or “The Super Seeker.” 

All human suffering is rooted in not living naturally, and all suffering persons (i.e., the non-realized) are living unnaturally or trying to live supernaturally. 

Those living unnaturally can be recognized by their self-destructive behaviors. 

Those trying to live supernaturally can be recognized by their magical thinking, by their belief in modernized versions of ancient gods, by their acceptance of ancient myths and superstitions as fact, by their disdain for scientific evidence, and by their belief in non-factual explanations for naturally-occurring events. 

Unnatural living and supernatural living are both tiresome and exhausting, but natural living is easy. 

The non-dual direct path used in combination with the nisarga yoga invites seekers to question everything; however, faith in dogma requires that you question nothing. The real "journey" to realization and freedom only begins when questioning begins. The "journey" only continues if questioning continues. 

The advice given in the past to those still resisting the abandonment of one or even all of the ego-states listed above has been this: 

Pray all the prayers that you think you need to pray; knell, bend over, stoop, or lie prostrate as much as you think you need to kneel, bend over, stoop, or lie prostrate; read all the “holy” books or "spiritual" books that you think you need to read; visit all the “sacred” sites or “sacred” men that you think you need to visit; chant or hum every chant or hum you think you need to chant or hum; ring every bell you think you need to ring; and burn every stick of incense that you think you need to burn. But when you are done with all of that, realize that you—and all persons who are fixated in a stage and are playing their religious or spiritual roles—are mistaking the dawn for the noon. 

"Realize that praying and knelling and bending over and stooping and lying prostrate and reading and visiting and chanting and humming and ringing and burning (and every other external thing you try to use to be more spiritual or to try to demonstrate how spiritual you are) will actually block you from finding the truth which can only be found within after certain pointers are taken into quiet and solitary consideration."

One must either find a “working understanding” or one will be doomed to adopt "their" ideology or philosophy or dogma or spiritual tenets and spiritual exercise instead, and both the historical and current evidence show that nothing is more destructive, relatively speaking, than buying into "their" dreamed up, erroneous beliefs. 

Here, it eventually had to be asked, “WHO (what ego-state) wants to be a ‘Supreme Self’? Who is making the dualistic claims that 'I am free of all concepts' and 'I am freed from assuming identities' but then claiming as well that 'I Am the Supreme'?” 

Focusing on the “I Am” is a tool that is only effective after body identification is forfeited. Then, the “I Am” can be used to negate the mind which supports the personality that wants to add words after the “I Am”: 

“I am spiritual”; “I am a teacher”; “I am good”; “I Am the Supreme.” The only reason for the instruction to “focus only on the ‘I Am’” is to divert the focus from the false identities that have been assumed, from the talk about “I am so-and-so.” 

Once what are often the last three personas (“The Super Religious One” and “The Spiritual Giant,” and “The Super Seeker”) have been cast aside, the use of the “I Am” will also end, right along with the former belief in “The User of Spiritual Tools.” 

Supernatural living leads to magical thinking which convinces persons that they can have access to power that will allow them to control. The master addiction among persons is a desire to control, and the secondary addiction is the addiction to power, which they think will allow them to control. 

The result among persons is belief in the illusion of power / a Power / Powers and an overwhelming desire to control others, to control their surroundings, or to control other nations. When persons become religious or spiritual, they try to use their power (or superpower) to control their racing, variable, tortuous “minds” or to control the behavior and "minds" of others (all of which is impossible since what they are trying to control is a mirage). 

The more they believe they have power, the more they believe they can affect when it rains, can influence who heals, can impact the paths of hurricanes, can control who wins wars and who loses, can control who receives blessings and who is cursed, ad infinitum. 

Supernatural beliefs, therefore, are the compost from which spring the illusions of megalomania, egomania, and self-aggrandizement and even identification as “The Godhead” or “God Himself / Itself, Herself”; therefore, while religion and spirituality are not to be avoided- playing as role at the third strep on the “path” - they are to be transitioned. They are but one step along a "path" to the freedom which manifests when the understanding of what is "natural" displaces unnatural and supernatural thinking. 

In order to be reincarnated or to have a resurrection and life eternal, you would have to be a body and a mind and you would have to "have" a personality. 

Here, the consciousness speaks to you of the no-self, no-Self, no-SELF Reality. All non-dual pointers are just words and concepts which can be guides to the no-word silence and the no-concept bliss. 

If your decades of religious effort and spiritual practices had resulted in the ability to understand the truth that cannot be stated, to be comfortable in the silence, and to be content in the awareness of Wholeness and Completion, then you would not be here. 

Do not disparage, however, those decades of effort; instead, transition your religious and spiritual roles just as you must transition beyond your belief in all the other roles you've played. Otherwise, you will continue to stand in the “subdued light of dawn” while insanely believing that you “are being bathed in the full light of noon.” (Maharaj) 

In response to a woman who said, "Floyd, millions of people who believe in Him can't be wrong!" the reply was . . . 

“Indeed, your notion is accurate; in truth, it is not millions who have been deluded in their beliefs. It is trillions upon trillions.” 

There are no "different persons" at "different levels" of enlightenment or at different levels of “goodness” or “badness.” That is a huge over-simplification of the Sickness presently infesting and infecting humankind. 

In fact, what is really at play is this: there are quantities of manifested conscious-energy which are obscured by varying quantities of concepts / beliefs. 

Either way, ultimately (realized or not) all of the manifested conscious-energy (obscured or not) will unmanifest and will merge into the vast pool of conscious-energy that is not manifested, and that's that / THAT.

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

HOW TO (AND WHAT TO) REALIZE

Recent posts have focused on the first three steps on the “path,” inviting seekers to move beyond body and mind and personality identifications and return to what is the fourth step on the path to reversing out of all of the relative damage that has been done via ignorant and insane programming, conditioning, etc. 

In explaining how the body-cum-consciousness came to be, Maharaj invited seekers to understand (1) what was happening prior to the manifestation and how a simple act of friction set off a chain of events which involved nothing more than the cycling of elements and air and energy and to understand (2) what was happening with the awareness-energy which manifested as conscious-energy within the framework which came about as a result of an act of friction and the transformation of plant cells into humans cells and the cycling of elements and air and conscious-energy. 

So what did he explain is what is to be realized next about the “prior to manifestation” state? Namely, this: 

U. "Out of my existence as the Noumenon has come this state of the phenomenal” 

and 

"My true state, which is whole, undifferentiated, is beyond birth and death. I am never bound by my body and mind. I am limitless." 

Maharaj also explained: "Prior to taking this form, you were formless; spontaneously the form came, and when the form came there was a natural longing to return to the formless state. When you want to return to the formless, desireless state, then only you come here, to seek what you are. The consciousness has to know the consciousness. When it realizes itself, then only do you return to normal” 

and 

“Before this knowledge ‘I Am’ appeared on you, you were absolutely unattached. As soon as the knowledge dawned on you, you became attached to everything around you. Only that false ‘I’ is attached. Everything is just happening, and the false ‘I’ is taking the credit for doing things.” 

More will be discussed later about that “prior state,” but for now, the key point which is to be realized involves understanding what happens post-manifestation that sets persons up to need the Ultimate Medicine to treat the Ultimate Sickness and its ultimate distortions and delusions and illusions and ignorance and insanity: 

V. In the days after being pulled from that prior state and moving through the “coming in” leg which results in "the manifestation of consciousness" within a composite unity, what is to be realized is that programmers and conditioners erroneously referred to the framework or the composite unity as “you” - leading to a belief that the composite unity or the framework or the physical body really is you. 

Since, per Maharaj, “realization” is merely a process by which persons can become freed from believing all of the learned ignorance which they have been taught, then the first three steps on “the path” each focus on one of the three main sets of lies, distortions, misunderstandings, falsehoods, etc. which make up a large part of the nonsense stored in each human mind (if not realized).

So the first step deals with being freed from beliefs involving body identification. 

To review: 

REGARDING “THE BODY” 

For the sake of discussion, the “you” is that which was in a prior state, prior to manifestation; that which is but is not understood by the masses; and that which shall be post-manifestation, all devoid of body or mind or personality when unmanifested and capable, via full realization, of being free of body identification and a corrupted “mind” and belief in personas while manifested. 

[In response to one who claimed that he "has had the same body" for "his entire life"] the reply was:

"Billions and   upon billions of cells involved with what you call “your adult body” have 'come and gone,' so with the exception of a few organs, a chain of bodies that you took to be you has 'come and gone.” 

That is, skin cells have been replaced every 28 days; stomach cells have been replaced every few days; etc., so the body which exists by the time I complete the typing of this post will not be the same body that existed when I sat down and began typing this post. 

Only memories (which also happen to be bogus distortions) lead person to identify with the body and to belief in body continuity, even though they can look at pictures taken when they were 6 and 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 and 11 and 12 and 13 and 14 and 15 which clearly show - when compared - that none of those bodies are the same. 

So it should be asked, “Among all of those different body forms, which one of those 'me's' would any person claim to be 'the real me'? What 'me' would a 'mind' assume to be 'the one, real me'?" What a distortion to talk of a 'me’.” 

The gatekeeper of your prison is, surprisingly, the one that can open “The Door to Realization” and that can guide you along a path which can free you from belief in the body-you and from belief in the roles being played via that body and can then lead to freedom from all of the needless drama which plagues the relative existence of persons. 

Yet most persons are so addicted to the chaos, so lost in the drama, and so removed from reality that they will never search for a way out of their prison. They will move about within the confines of their prison and believe that they are free. How insane would it be for a prisoner to be allowed to leave his cell and go to an exercise yard outside and belief, "Ah! I am free! Thank goodness, free at last!"

Additionally, few will ever have any desire to be totally independent. Fewer still will follow the path to reality and know true freedom and absolute independence. Most will fight to the end in defense of nonsensical, magical beliefs that were dreamed up by uneducated men during ancient times. 

The question is: “What is the case with you? How free do you want to be? How soon do you want that freedom?” 

Frustration results from a sense of limitation. Frustration cannot end, therefore, as long as humans are identified with that which is limited: a physical body, a warped “mind,” and multiple personalities. 

I am not personal; I have no individuality, so how could I have individual meaning or an individual purpose? For now, the consciousness is manifested, so whatever happens . . . happens. All happens spontaneously and is merely witnessed. Nothing more is involved. 

To review: 

REGARDING THE MIND 

Efforts to quiet the mind or to ignore thoughts cannot succeed with any consistency. Only when full realization strikes, only when the "Oh my gosh!" moment happens - only then does the mind dissolve because the belief in “their” beliefs dissolves. 

What to consider meanwhile? It is true that, if you are instructed to "avoid thinking about an elephant," the only thing that you can think of is an elephant. So, what is the answer? The answer is not to try to be rid of a disturbing thought. The answer is to ask when a thought is interrupting the peace, “WHO is thinking that thought?” 

(That is, what ego-state is feeling so threatened or hurt or interfered with that the false identity can inspire the "mind" in which that false self resides to begin an endless flurry of thought-activity?) 

Only by relinquishing belief in the false identities that inspire thoughts can the thoughts come to an end. Only by abandoning the "this" and "that" in such beliefs as "I am this" (role) or "I am that" (role) will the peace and quiet of only the "I Am" ever happen. 

The "mind" is the instrument which supports your personality with thoughts, and those thoughts are the instruments which will forever prevent "peace of mind"; in fact, there is no such thing as "peace of mind." There is only peace if freed of the "mind." There can only be peace if you are out of your "mind." 

Consciousness is rooted in the Absolute. The brain is rooted in the elements. The "mind" is rooted in wrong programming and faulty conditioning and perverted domestication and xenophobia-based acculturation as well as lies and concepts and ideas and superstitions and falsehoods which were passed along via brainwashing and indoctrination.

If not realized, then you are in a play, playing a role, and believing that the role and the play are both real. Why would you believe such nonsense? Because "your mind" - which is really "their mind" - is the playwright, the author of every scene. 

When Maharaj said, "You are not in the world . . . the world is in you," what did he mean? He meant, "You are not in the world," that is, there is no "you" that is real or in any world. 

"The world is in you" means that the world is in your "mind" and is nothing more than a figment of your programming-and-conditioning-induced imaginings and beliefs. 

Everything that is said here is to be used to get rid of another false belief until all ideas and emotional intoxication and beliefs are gone and nothing remains but the unstated understanding. Only then can the constant churning and re-churning of the false beliefs of the corrupted "mind" finally cease. 

Be free of the mind and abide under the auspices of the inner resource, the inner guru.

What is that inner resource, that inner guru? It is the vestige of pure consciousness which remains, deeply buried beneath the waste called “your mind,” presently inaccessible to the consciousness because of the near-limitless obstacles and blockages called “beliefs.” 

“Your mind” obscures the consciousness because that "mind" is so marred with its belief in lies and superstitions and all of its so-called "knowledge" (that is, its accumulation of learned ignorance), that it leaves persons insane . . . so insane that they believe the lies and dreams of the planet. 

For their suffering to end, persons must understand the functioning of the totality; must see that all suffering is rooted in the assumption of ego-states as false identities; must realize that they have no “mind” but instead are being driven by the “minds” of others (which they now think is their own "mind"); 

must be aware of the fact that a “mind” is nothing more than the storehouse of all the lies and beliefs and ideas and concepts that must be cast aside in order to end human suffering; and must see not only the limitations of doingness but the timelessness and limitless nature of beingness . . . and non-beingness as well. 

In this relative existence, nothing is going on but a breeziness of play, but persons are caught up in a tornado of religious or spiritual workaholism, in a storm of seriousness, and in a tempest of drama. 

So-called “life” in this sphere of consciousness is just a process of functioning, and while the “mind” of a person will dream up notions about separation or differentiation, none exists. The process just keeps on happening. 

A belief or a concept, a religion or a philosophy, a state or a nation, a hero or a villain . . . all are just part of the process of duality-based functioning. All those are just dreamed up names, and all such dreamed up labels (dreamed up by that accumulation of corruptions called "the mind") generate a false sense of reality. 

The "journey" aims to put you fully in touch with reality. To be out of touch with reality is to be insane. 

This "journey" is about getting in touch with reality in order to be free of the bondage of the illusions and falsehoods of a "mind" exposed to years of enculturation. 

Among religions and philosophies, there is no means by which the necessary brain-flush can be provided. Only the non-dual “journey” proposes the dissolution of all of the contamination that is “the mind.” 

Ultimately, the so-called "non-dual teachings" have the "goal" of becoming the non-teaching by way of un-teaching. 

You should see by now that there is no such thing as “your mind.” You were born with a brain and like all life-forms on the planet, it’s all you needed for the body / elements to function. To your detriment, your culture decided otherwise. 

"They" decided you needed their “knowledge,” which is really nothing other than their learned ignorance (including "their" ideas and beliefs that were rooted in superstitious and mythical explanations for what they could not explain factually or scientifically). 

In pumping those lies into you, they created a “mind” - a repository of ideas and beliefs and non-truths. It contains what was put into their "minds" - which they never questioned even once - and then passed along faithfully and dutifully and, unfortunately, to you. 

"They" dreamed it all up, "they" forced you to accept their concepts as a child, you have internalized "their" beliefs into a “mind,” and you now allow "their" fiction to define your beliefs, your values and your “mind.” 

In fact, most of the (dualistic) beliefs in your "mind" are the beliefs of the earliest self-appointed “religious or tribal or spiritual leaders” who dreamed up those beliefs, adopted them, and then passed them on in order to control the masses. 

And all those values were based in duality, in terms of what those persons decided was “right or wrong” and “good or bad.” 

Which terms they used to label other persons was determined by their agenda to gain power over the masses and to gain benefit from the subsequent power and control. 

The invitation: 

Use the brain. Use the intuitive sixth-sense. Sense the fourth dimension beyond the three dimensions of a body’s height, width and depth. But abandon any notion that a mind is real or that you have a mind that is yours. It is "theirs," has always been "theirs," and shall always be "theirs" if you do not abandon it and then realize; 

otherwise, those persons can still reach forward—from millennia ago or from days ago—and control you via the compilation of that mass of learned ignorance and contamination called “your mind.” 

Religions want to "cleanse" your mind. Spiritual movements want to "purify" your mind or "heal" your mind. Many professionals want to “straighten out the thinking” of your mind. Many groups want to move you from “wrong thinking" to “right thinking.” 

Some want to guide you to your “right mind.” Some want to teach you to "halt the constant movement" of your mind. None of those have a clue that they are missing the point completely: nothing needs to be done to your "mind" and nothing needs to happen to benefit your "mind." The mind is illusion. 

One may as well go to a desert and try to benefit and improve or cleanse or purify or straighten out a mirage. 

How can anyone cleanse a mirage, purify a mirage, heal a mirage, straighten out a mirage, make a mirage that is wrong into a mirage that is right, or stop mirages? It is impossible. The mind will dissolve if you see every lie that is stored in it. 

Then the brain, the sixth-sense, the intuition, and the inner resource will move you through this relative existence - just as happens with every living thing on the planet and which works just fine for every living thing on the planet with one exception, namely, humans - and you will live the remainder of the relative existence in a natural fashion rather than in an unnatural fashion or in a supernatural fashion that is dominated by magical thinking which results from a wrongly-programmed mind.

THE EXPLANATION 

If looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they are worthy of some attention during the relative existence. 

Meaning? There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and glorify and give thanks to." 

The reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly"). 

Next, in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the "loving and caring" part. 

"That is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the 'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you." 

Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on: 

"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within" 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and earth shall fade away." 

--Yeshu'a (Jesus) 

and 

"Heaven and hell are not geographic places 

but are states of mind, nothing more than 

concepts dreamed up by men." 

--Pope John Paul II 

"There is no hell." 

--Pope Francis, the current pope 

in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 

a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record 

teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium. 

[That said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional courage required to question the very existence of their institution in light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of billions of their members past and present. 

And that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will they? Not likely. Why? 

Because what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the international crime families which hold sway over the masses as criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major international crime families and which are the most influential and have the largest memberships? 

The Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank); Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers) like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.) 

With all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business, politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the driving forces at play. 

The masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]

HOW TO (AND WHAT TO) REALIZE

What is to be realized next is . . .

Q. Since the very beginning of language development, humans have shown a proclivity to assign names to things, but the arbitrary naming of things does not make anything actually what it is named. It really is all arbitrary. 

There are more than 1.5 million species of plants, animals, fungi, lichen, and bacteria documented on earth, and more species are being discovered and named every day. In terms of mass, there are currently about 75 billion tons of living things (biomass) on the planet. 

Moreover, those 1.5 million species that are here now are only a fraction of the total 150,000,000 species which did exist on earth but are now extinct, many of which perished in one of the five specific cataclysmic events in earth's history. 

And humans have made up names for all 150,000,000 of those species and the 1.5 million currently on the planet. By dang, humans have long been high-octane naming machines. They are some naming son of a guns. (See how I just made up two names for them right there?!) 

Of the seven-and-a-half-billion humans on the planet, all of those have multiple names; all of those will have some kind of job name or job description or some kind of name based on an activity they’ll engage in; all of them will have identities assigned that denote the roles they play in relationships; 97% will have a name identifying them by the religion they are affiliated with; 

all will have a name identifying them by their geographic location and their race; all will have a name identifying them by their political or philosophical or ideological or club or sports or charitable associations or affiliations; most all will have a name identifying them by their sexual orientations or identities, and many of those identities will change during their lifetimes. 

In addition to the list of those “phenomenal realm” titles and roles, add in the millions of persons who are seeking some special label or tag which deals with some “noumenal realm.” 

Names, names, names. 

Naming begin as a result of domestication as humans are assigned names in their childhood; naming continues as a result of acculturation as cultures divide and separate persons by the use of all sorts of applied labels; and naming and identity-assignments and assumptions will expand via brainwashing and indoctrination (as in, “I now pronounce you man and wife”). 

[In the U.S. alone, nearly 201,000,000 of the people age 18 or older are married, and not a one of them questioned the statement “I now pronounce you man and wife” either the first time they were told that, or the second, or the third, or the fourth, etc., etc., etc.] 

By the time they reach the age of thirty, most will have believed in at least eighty identities or more which they have unquestioningly accepted as proper and accurate definitions of who they are. Yet their acceptance does not make it so.

In March of 2009, an example of the variable nature of personas was offered that is also relevant now as their fleeting, non-continuous nature is examined: 

See how cultures lie to people about who they are and see how programmed and conditioned persons seldom even question such pronouncements from “persons of authority” in their societies. Here's the scenario: 

A document (such as a marriage license) can inspire a false belief that a dependent role can define who you are. How grand is the lie? 

Take the fictional Thomas Smith as an example. 

He married Jane Jones and a man in a robe told her that she was now Mrs. Thomas Smith. She assumed that new identity and all the fears and expectations and desires that came with it. But her fears were realized when Thomas left her for Mary Martin. In a court, a man in a robe told Jane Jones / Mrs. Thomas Smith that she was no longer Mrs. Thomas Smith but could once again be Miss Jane Jones; shortly after that event, another man in a robe told Mary Martin that she was Mrs. Thomas Smith. 

She assumed that new identity and all the fears and expectations and desires that came with it. But her fears were realized when Thomas left her for Patty Prentiss. In a court, a man in a robe told Mary Martin / Mrs. Thomas Smith that she was no longer Mrs. Thomas Smith but could once again be Miss Mary Martin; shortly after that event, another man in a robe told Patty Prentiss that she was Mrs. Thomas Smith. 

Do you see the insanity of assuming identities? "Mrs. Thomas Smith" was a role assumed by three different persons, and all three really believed that they were who and what their culture told them that they were. But the culture told three different persons that they were the same person. 

In the remote past, Jane was Mrs. Thomas Smith; in the past Mary was Mrs. Thomas Smith; in the present, Patty is Mrs. Thomas Smith. One can guess that in the future, Patty will not be Mrs. Thomas Smith. From this example, isn’t it clear that any assumption of any persona as a real identity is an insane case of mistaken, false identity? 

Next to realize is this, per Maharaj: 

R. “You need not know ‘Who You Are.’ It is enough to know who and what you are not.” 

Per the realization process (that is, via the process by which Maharaj said that persons can discard all of their “learned ignorance,” including all of the false identifications which they have been assigned or which they have assumed), the knowing of “who and what you are not” can come. 

Lao Tzu wisely observed, “The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name.” 

So what else is to be realized? 

S. Humans could potentially wake up to the truth and accurately name a thousand things they are not, but they cannot accurately name one single thing that they actually are. 

T. None are their bodies. None are their minds. None are their personal / phenomenal identities. None are their assumed “Noumenal Identities.” 

“Personhood” is a bogus concept. 

“I” is a bogus concept. 

“You” is a bogus concept. 

Names. Names. Names. Bogus. Bogus. Bogus. 

Want to be free? Abandon every identification that has been assigned or assumed. 

Want to be wise? Abandon every identification that has been assigned or assumed. 

Want to be even wiser? Abandon every belief that you were taught and that you learned and that you accepted as truth. 

Want to be among the wisest? Find the correct answer to this question which is often asked of those who visit here: 

"Is it possible that everything you have ever been taught and everything you have ever been told, by your parents and by relatives and by teachers and by religious leaders and by politicians and by businesses and advertisers and by everyone else, was completely false?" 

 "When you are concerned with truth, with reality, you must question everything, your very life." --Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj 

So, is it possible that there is no heaven or hell or post-manifestation reward or punishment or post-manifestation beingness or Supreme Beingness? 

Is it possible - if you’ve been labeled “an American” - that you do not live in the greatest nation on earth? 

Is it possible that you are not different from or better than anyone else . . . and that's okay? 

Is it possible that the persons whom you especially should never believe are those who repeatedly tell you, "Believe me"? 

Is it possible that all among the "non-realized" masses are contaminated by the Ultimate Sickness and therefore are driven by the symptoms of that Sickness (identified by Maharaj as "ignorance, stupidity and insanity") and that those who are most despised by the masses for "marching to the beat of a different drummer" are the few who are realizing or have realized (meaning, been freed or are in the process of being freed of their belief in "learned ignorance")? 

Maharaj explained: "When you shall begin to question your dream [which in not actually '"your dream" at all but is actually "their dream" which has been passed down for thousands of years] awakening will be not far away." 

He advised: "Be alert. Question, observe, investigate. Learn all you can about confusion: how it operates . . . what it does to you and others. By being clear about confusion you become clear of confusion."
