THE RATIONALE FOR REACHING A
"NO-BELIEFS,"
"ZERO CONCEPTS,"
"NO-MIND" STATE
AS RECOMMENDED BY MAHARAJ AND THEN ABIDING UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE ELEMENTAL BRAIN RATHER THAN THE DISTORTED, FICTION-FILLED MIND

all that you have been programmed, conditioned, domesticated,
acculturated, brainwashed, and indoctrinated to believe so that you can

and facilitate the learning of more but is to facilitate the process of
un-learning all and being un-taught all of the learned ignorance which
the masses have accumulated and passed down from one generation to the
next. Only if that approach is adhered to
can realization happen."

Freedom from All Beliefs: Clearing Away the Final Vestiges, Part Two
The objective witnessing of all of the relative chaos and all of the relative misery which have occurred historically on an international basis would reveal that it has always been the beliefs of the people in one nation that drove them to engage in wars with people in another nation who had different beliefs.
And those beliefs have always been driven by the hidden agendas of assumed personal identifications which are, in turn, driven by the basic fears and basic desires which come with all assumed personality identifications.
The objective witnessing of all of the relative chaos and all of the relative misery which have occurred historically on a national basis would reveal that it has always been the beliefs of people in one part of a nation that drove them to engage in wars with people in another part of that nation.
And the objective witnessing of all of the relative chaos and all of the relative misery which have occurred on what people take to be a "personal basis" would reveal that it has always been their "personal" beliefs that have driven them to argue and fight and separate and even, in many cases, to murder.
It has been shared before on this site that in the U.S., 59% of all women killed annually, and 41% of all men killed annually, are killed during the act of arguing and / or fighting and / or "breaking up" as their conflicting beliefs drive their thoughts of conflict and their words of conflict and their actions of conflict.
Yet of all of the requirements for full realization and for total freedom and for complete independence to happen, the requirement to abandon beliefs - and one's belief in false identities - is probably the most resisted.
It might seem that, if one saw the international and national and "personal" consequences of humankind's beliefs as referenced above, that all beliefs would be abandoned not only willingly but also posthaste.
Like the addict that has opportunities on a regular basis to witness the (relatively) detrimental and the (relatively) disadvantageous results of his or her addiction but then ignores the evidence and continues to have all thoughts and words and deeds driven by the addictive personality disorder, so it is with persons and their beliefs.
Persons have the opportunity on a regular basis to witness the results of their beliefs and the (relatively) detrimental and the (relatively) disadvantageous thoughts and words and actions which those beliefs inspire; yet they cling to those beliefs the same way that a child clings to its mother when a stranger tries to take the infant into its arms.
Relatedly, sages have long invited seekers to abandon personality. Why? Because each assumed persona or identity brings with it an entire system of beliefs about "needs" and "desires" and "rights" and "expectations" and "demands" and "entitlements" and "dependencies" and "co-dependencies."
A man in the New South Wales area of Australia admitted that he was "afraid" of giving up all of his beliefs, including his belief in the personas that have supposedly (and erroneously) identified him for decades. Another seeker asked recently, "I mean, if I give up my beliefs, am I going to fall off the earth or what?"
The reply: "You should be so fortunate."
Maharaj said: " . . . All you need is to realize that you are dreaming. Stop imagining, stop believing. See the contradictions, the incongruities, the falsehood and the sorrow of the human state, the need to go beyond. Within the immensity of space floats a tiny atom of consciousness and in it the entire universe is contained."
Interesting, is it not, that persons can catalogue decades of misery and suffering, see the way that misery and suffering was generated by beliefs and personas that drove thoughts and words and deeds and self-destructive behavior, but then still want to cling to those false identities and their (relatively) destructive beliefs?
"Believers" are never free but are trapped in their beliefs and imprisoned within their culture which only accepts and affirms those who believe what the culture would have them believe.
Those labeled as "Non-Believers" will be treated as pariahs and outcasts, either literally or figuratively or both, within their culture which only accepts those who believe what the culture would have them believe.
The realized, on the other hand, are not plagued by beliefs at all (and thus might be pointed to with the term "No-Belief-ers"). They cannot be imprisoned, cannot be affected by those that would cast them out, and cannot be affected by those who consider them to be "pariahs."
Once the bogus beliefs of one's culture are seen to be of no value at all and are then cast aside, then the belief-based opinions of the members of that culture are also given no value at all.
Regarding the delusional fear of "loss" (be it the fear of losing false identities or false beliefs or false acceptance and false love by one's family or friends or culture or nation) Maharaj's advice was to understand that if you will give up all, then you will gain all. If you understand the wisdom beyond the irony of that statement, you might be prepared to abandon all that is false and then see all that is truly real . . . and Real.
Truly real . . . and Real? The phrase points to the accuracy of the summative statement of non-duality: "I am THAT; I AM." The AM-ness, though temporary, is real. The THAT-ness, though permanent, can be referred to as the Real.
Consider:
There are some who called themselves "non-dualists" who teach that "nothing is real." First, the THAT-ness is real and permanent. Why so? Because it is a field of energy, and energy cannot be either created or destroyed, so it is permanent and thus quite "Real."
Others claim teach nothing involving the relative is real," and they too are in error. The example I give them is this:
Find a brick wall. Step back 15 yards from it. Bend over and lower your head so that the top of it faces the wall. Next, begin running as fast as you can at the wall and crash into it head first. When you come to, I'll be there tom ask you, "Do you now admit that the wall which, granted, is temporary does exists in the reality sphere and is quite real?"
See, if you look at one of the bricks in the wall with the naked eye, it will appears to be something which is quite different from what it really is. If you look at the brick under an enlarging electron microscope which can provide a high resolution image of the detailed structure of the brick and its micromolecular complexes, you will see that the brink is nothing like what it appears to be when viewed via the naked eye.
It will be seen via use of the electron microscope that the so-called brick is actually a swirling masses of subatomic particles and is more empty space than anything else. That is also the case with a body and the case with the universe itself.
So the actual non-dual understanding is that all in the relative is real but is never what it appears to be. The non-dual understanding can facilitate proper perceiving and accurate observing and witnessing, all of which can result in valid perceptions and in seeing clearly throughout the relative existence and in being able to realize what is true and what is false and being able to differentiate between the two instantly.
As for THAT, it is a field of energy which also cannot be seen by the naked eye. It exists in an "absolute" ("pure") form which provides the potential for conscious-energy to manifest within a physical, limited space and to become conscious-of . . . conscious of natural operations and, in some cases, conscious of selfness;
however, in the absence of manifesting within a finite space, the absolute (Absolute) field is devoid of any aware-of-ness and is devoid of any conscious-of-ness.
Only if the energy therein manifests within a finite space can consciousness manifest. The rub? That formerly pure, universal consciousness will soon be blocked or corrupted by false "teachings" and beliefs will come into being.
In the case of humans, if steps are taken which lead to a discarding of belief in false teachings and the discarding of all learned ignorance, then the pure consciousness will be able to perceive accurately; furthermore, awareness can also manifest and that can lead to an understanding of the functioning of the totality.
That understanding can simultaneously lead to understanding what is natural and can end the attachment to things unnatural and to things rooted in magical thinking such as the widely-circulated lies among the masses about things which are supposedly supernatural or supposedly spiritual or supposedly paranormal or supposedly mystical or supposedly ghostly but which are all imagined and unreal.
With humans, at the point when mahasamadhi is taken and a manifestation ends, then, post-manifestation this happens to the triad of elements and oxygen and conscious-energy which functioned temporarily to generate a composite unity (or "a human"):
the elements which formed a space will return to the universal elements; the oxygen with be released and return to the universal pool of oxygen; and the conscious-energy will return to the field of energy / the Absolute from which it temporarily-manifested.
At that point, there will be no conscious-of-ness and no aware-of-ness and nobody / no body and no brain to be able to be conscious of anything, much less a mind prone to believe in nonsense and lies and myths and superstitions and the silliness dreamed up by men over the ages.
So much for the false, duality-based concepts / beliefs regarding "life after death" and "reward vs. punishment" and "pain vs. pleasure" and "a heavenly brothel in the sky," ad infinitum.
The fact is this:
there is nothing standing between you and total freedom, total independence, total awareness, the total understanding of truth and the complete understanding of the functioning of the totality
except
the beliefs which persons mistakenly think are "their own beliefs" when - in fact - all beliefs are actually just "their beliefs" - just the erroneous beliefs of "others" that have been unquestioningly accepted as one's own.
