CAUSATION and RELATIVE EVENTS AND BEHAVIORS:
“Evil?” or “Ignorance, Stupidity, and Insanity”?
A REVIEW OF THE KEY POINTERS REGARDING THE DUALISTIC BELIEF IN “GOOD” VS. “EVIL,” The Conclusion
369. Moreover, when being driven, someone (or something)
else is in charge. Initially, the “someone” includes programmers, conditioners,
acculturators, domesticators, brainwashers and indoctrinators. That group will
expand in number to include any and all influential persons who assign roles or
who inspire persons to assume roles as identities.
370. So it is on a planet where programming-induced “ignorance, stupidity and
insanity” run rampart. Persons have no ability to choose, so no one can choose
to be “good” or “evil.”
If programmed, conditioned, acculturated, domesticated, brainwashed, and indoctrinated, any and all ability to choose or not choose anything has been preempted. (If that is understood, wherefore hatred? Wherefore lingering resentment?)
371. Next, the invitation is to consider this key point: the masses absolutely love their belief in the concept of evil; thus, the masses are never likely to seek Realization because there is a prerequisite for seeking earnestly which was also identified by Maharaj: “Only that person will visit this place whose virtue AND sin have come to an end.”
372. How comforting - and arrogance-engendering - it is to the masses to believe that their “sin has come to an end” (or that they have been forgiven thousands of times by a God or gods or goddesses or a Higher Power and will continue to be forgiven a thousand times more, which is a major draw of organized religion and spirituality-based programs or movements). Yet how the ego abhors the notion that one's “virtue has come to an end.” How objectionable ... how detestable ... how repugnant ... to even consider the possibility.
373. Those trapped at the third step on the “path” to realization (where religious and / or spiritual identities are assumed and played) absolutely love “their new and improved self” . . . or even better yet, “Self.”
At that third step, what happens shortly after the assumption of a religious and / or a spiritual identity is what happens shortly after any ego-state is assumed: the new self or Self is upgraded to a super self or Super Self which demands that all “others” who are not a mirror image of that same “Super Self” will be downgraded.
In the process of such upgrading, an entirely new set of assumed personality traits manifest, including, being good; then being more than good; then being virtuous; being righteous; being worthy; being honorable; being moral; being upright; and, yes, being “different from” by virtue of being “better than.”
374. With that mindset, is it not obvious why “The Super Religious One” or “The Spiritual Giant” hates to hear the message offered via the Nisarga (Natural”) Yoga? Is it not obvious why the masses absolutely love their belief in the concept of “evil”? Is it not obvious why so many objected to Maharaj's pointer, “Only that person will visit this place whose virtue and sin have come to an end”?
375. “Give up my belief in the concept of ‘sin’? Sure, of course, most assuredly. But give up my dedication to fighting ‘sin’ while extolling virtue'? I don't think so.”
376. Some may recall the earlier sharing of the words of the comedian who, after the Boston Marathon bombings, took to Facebook to shake his verbal fist in the air at all terrorists by sending a message to the “evil” ones in the world: “The good outnumber you, and we always will.”
377. Yes, “we” - we who are “the good” - outnumber you evil people and “we always will.” That is the way the self - the false self - upgrades itself (classifying itself as “the good”), and that is the way that the self - the false self - downgrades “others” (by classifying them as “the evil ones.”)
378. How popular that message is among the masses, and how popular it is likely to always be among the non-realized hoards. Conversely, how unpopular a “no virtue and no evil” message will always be with the masses. Pandering draws crowds; Truth disperses crowds.
379. You see, if there is no “evil,” and if there are no “evil people,” then there can be no “good people” either.
380. Again, how the ego abhors that notion because what also comes to an end is the upgraded self-image that one is righteous; worthy; honorable; moral; upright; and different from by virtue of being better than.
381. All ego-states require a counterpart to exist. In the realm of the duality-dominated masses, there can be no “good” without the counterpart called “evil”; there can be no “morality” without the counterpart called “immorality”;
there can be no “virtue” without the counterpart called “sin”; there can be no “righteous person” without the counterpart of “a wicked person”; there can be no “worthy person” without the counterpart of “an unworthy person”;
there can be no “honorable person” without the counterpart of “a dishonorable person”; there can be no “upright person” without the counterpart of “a corrupt person”; there can be no “honorable person” without the counterpart of “a dishonorable person”; and there can be no “virtue” without the counterpart of “sin.”
382. Moreover, the arrogance-and-delusion-and-duality-based self-love (which is the primary infatuation among the masses) will guarantee that non-realized persons will also absolutely love their belief in the concept of evil and will, therefore, come up with arrogance-and-delusion-and-duality-based comments such as “the good outnumber you [evil people], and WE always will.”
383. The fact: you are not “good” and they are not “evil.” Why? Because “you” are not, and “they” are not. What IS is ignorance and stupidity and insanity, and it is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivated the bombing of citizens on the streets of Baghdad and on the streets of Boston. And it is also ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivate the arrogance which subdivides The One into “the good” and “the evil” and which imagines a war by which “the good” will eventually triumph over “the evil” and will eventually eliminate evil once and for all.
384. It is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates the slaughter of children in an elementary school as happened in the U.S. and in Afghanistan and in Russia.
385. It is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates persons to believe that those in their economic bracket are better than those in a lower bracket.
386. It is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates persons to believe that they are better because of their lighter skin color than “others” who have a darker skin color.
387. It is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates persons to abide under the influence of xenophobia and believe as a result that those who are citizens of the nation they live in are better than all “others” living in other nations.
388. It is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates one to believe that her or his dogma is right while the dogma of all others is wrong.
389. And it is ignorance and stupidity and insanity that motivates persons to believe that they are “better than” because they are spiritual rather than religious.
390. Mostly, though, it ignorance and stupidity and insanity that set the stage for the kind of judging and anger and hatred that are all rooted in a duality-inspired “us vs. them” mentality which, in turn, drives all fighting and bombing and killing and war.
It need not be so.
NEXT: THE FOLLOW-UP
So, if it has been seen that the cause of all that persons find to be “horrible behavior” cannot be explained away as “some force of evil,” then what is it that those that would realize (and would understand the actual facts involved) might seek?
Consider:
“The Super Seeker” is another false personal identification, but just like the roles of “The Super Religious One” and “The Spiritual Giant,” there is some role playing which understandably happens along the way on the journey to realization.
In light of the pointers offered during the series which has come to an end today, if those points provided any clearer understanding of actual cause and of the false nature of the dualistic concepts of “good” vs. “evil,” then those currently seeking might be able to “redefine” what their seeking should involve and why their seeking should wisely be a finite process.
There may now be a clearer understanding of why seeking must happen for a limited period; of what it is a waste of time and energy to seek and what it is wise to seek; and what role - if any - religious seeking and / or spiritual seeking should play.
Moreover, a key question is, “How much focus should be given to the seeking and spreading of . . . mental health?
It will be shown that (1) most persons on the planet are not seeking at all and that (2) most will never seek. Why?
Because billions of persons are still reporting that they have (1) an affiliation with one religion or another or that they have (2) an affiliation with (b) one spiritual group or program or movement or another.
Having conducted their seeking in religious or spiritual institutions or organizations or groups, they will be convinced that they already know, so they do not believe that there is anything to seek except more of the same in the same old places.
Why? Because they have been convinced that they have supposedly found it all or they have found an associate or associates who know it all. They see no need to seek outside their present religion / spiritual group / cult / sky cult.
As for those few who are seeking outside the venues referenced above, this should also be clear:
in regards to searching, there are three aspects which most seekers (at least those who have come this way or those whose “experiences” have been witnessed) were not even conscious of until the topic was broached.
Aspect #1: Most do not have a clue about WHY they are seeking, so their seeking will come to involve a “journey” that will include multiple “paths” and numerous divergences and a variety of ineffective methods which lead anywhere and everywhere . . . except to that which is truly being sought (but being sought as a result of subconscious motives).
Aspect #2: The result referenced in “Aspect #1” is aggravated by the fact that most think they know WHAT they are seeking when, in fact, what they have been told to seek does not even exist or involves something that they really cannot actually define succinctly in terms of what it is which they think they are seeking or should be seeking.
Aspect #3: Moreover, most seekers do not have a clue about HOW, specifically, to go about seeking, and when they are told - as will happen in the upcoming series - they become angry or dig deeper into denial. So it is.
In the upcoming series, it will also be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.”
It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.
Maharaj’s loft was actually more of a laboratory in a loft in Bombay (now “Mumbai”) because he undertook in that loft many experiments in his efforts to find an effective form of the Ultimate Medicine which could treat the Ultimate Sickness effectively and successfully. In fact, he would eventually have run three very different laboratories:
He first ran . . .
** a “Religion Laboratory,” then later
** a “Spirituality Laboratory” and eventually
** a “Psychology Laboratory.”
