FROM SITE VISITOR SIM: Well, that last post was deeper than s***. Excuse me, I know this is a "family channel." Actually, Floyd, all you have to believe/accept/understand is that what you and M are saying is that we are nothing. Period. As Brother Dave Gardner would have said, "We ain't nothin but a figment of our imagination." We are going to where we go each night but we aren't ever waking up.

F.: First, there is nothing here that is either “believed” or “accepted,” but “understand”…yes. As for what M. and I are saying, also, yes. As for your understanding—at least for the moment—that “we are going to where we go each night but we aren't ever waking up,” maybe you are finally understanding a pointer offered to you four years ago when you were in such fear of “death.” The consideration at that time was, “Over 21000 times—that is, every night of this 'sim's' existence—you have ‘practiced dying.’ Being that familiar with the process, wherefore any fear?” Finally, after four years, you repeat the teaching. Now, will that understanding finally remain?

Next, to continue with the pointers dealing with abidance as the original nature and dwelling as the natural state rather than as a supernatural state ( such as a religious or spiritual or magical state) or as an unnatural state.

Why will so few ever abide as the non-manifest? First, most will never find these teachings, convinced what they know is "right." They will not seek Truth but will seek to spread their lies "to the four corners of the earth" instead. Secondly, the non-Realized desire and want, so they will attach to whatever they think will fulfill their desires. Also, those trapped in learned ignorance love their ignorance. They will fight and even kill because of their beliefs.

Fourth, the masses, out of fear and egotism, are accumulators. They are attracted to the “somethings” of the relative existence, not the nothingness of the non-manifest state. Finally, they are convinced that they are living “a pretty darn good life,” totally dissociated from the misery and suffering (or at least the disquiet and the malaise and the emptiness) of their relative existence.

With that “mindset,” why would they even consider the artificiality of their existence, much less admit to it? And not admitting to the artificiality, why would they possibly consider overlaying Reality upon it? They will not.

They will continue to cling to and promote and fight over their delusions and their distortions. Only a few who visit this site or study with another teacher or come to the “not-two” understanding will be presented with an alternative.

For the Advaitin seeker, if Truth is understood—and if Reality is Realized and overlaid on the Is-ness—then all delusions and distortions end. The notion by persons that they are “in the world” ends after it is understood that “the world” has only been in them, specifically, in their fiction-filled “minds.”

Consider the effects of that misunderstanding alone: most of the problems of the planet deal with persons who think their world is falling apart. That conclusion can be (erroneously) reached when a breakup comes to two people who have been dating. It can come when one loses a job or fails out of college. It can come when a marriage ends.

It can come when the retirement fund is wiped out by greed and theft. It can come when one political party loses to another that has a different agenda. In many cases, the belief that one’s world is—or was—as it seemed will prove at some point to have been false. When the dream ends, then irritability, angst, misery, suffering, histrionics, fighting, and murder or suicide or both can come.

On a larger scale, civil wars can erupt and even international wars can follow. Is it becoming clear—relatively speaking—that most of the suffering on the planet is supported by the delusional belief in “two-ness” and “multiplicities”? Is it becoming clear why You are invited to be done with all that nonsense by overlaying Reality on the relative?

And is it becoming clear why this process is the one that (a) suggests you learn nothing and why it is the one that (b) suggests that un-learning is the means by which freedom and peace can happen? Please enter the silence of contemplation. (To be continued)
