FROM A SITE VISITOR: I have been reading your books and blog and I see that most of the people resist having there ideas and concepts being smashed to pieces. I feel no resistance, I want to cast aside all concepts, I'm ready! What do I do? I do have another question in the relative it seems that we still have points of view and strong opinions about things as it seems you do regarding such topics as 911, Katrina, religion etc... I get confused in knowing this stuff but feel guilty when I still getting pissed off say at work when someone is being lazy or proper sanitation isn’t being followed, I know in regards to the void it doesn’t matter but in the relative world I feel it’s important for a kitchen to be clean, How do you balance the two? W.: I see that most of the people resist having there ideas and concepts being smashed to pieces.
F.: As have you in the past, yes? That is because WHO they think they are is also an idea…a concept…so the smashing of their ideas is taken to be a personal attack.
W.: I want to cast aside all concepts, I'm ready! What do I do?
F.: See the source of your concepts. One woman in early 2006 decided that she was going to “fire me” because of certain pointers that challenged the validity of her conceptualized God. She claimed, “Millions of people cannot be wrong.” The response: “You’re right. It is billions that are wrong.” What about the concepts that you take to be yours (though they are really “theirs”)?
Where did you get those concepts? Did you hear them repeated often enough by parents, teachers, preachers, politicians, or group members that you have unconsciously given credibility to those concepts based in the number of people you’ve heard perpetuating those concepts?
How many of them have you truly considered as to viability? How many have you subjected to a series of objective questions? As more and more are seen to be nonsense, the “gunpowder” stage is approached.
Once there, an awareness of the magnitude of the numbers of lies accepted as truth “by faith alone” can come into consciousness. Suddenly, analyzing each separate concept ends as the broader awareness explodes into consciousness and blows away all beliefs, marked by a quiet period of deeper-than-ever-before understanding. In the case of “floyd,” it was described this way in a 2007 post:
There was a nagging suspicion during those early years in “Sunday School” that the tales being told were nonsense. The same assessment applied to words being spoken from the pulpit.
Then, just as the religious tales were debunked, more seeking and finding revealed more and more bogus tales that had no factual foundation but were rooted in ancient myths and superstitions. It was only after finding the Advaita Teachings and reading pointers and taking them into contemplation that a “
If you are truly willing to cast aside all concepts, you must find where you got them and then see that they are all part and parcel of a planet-wide compilation of nonsense based in myths and superstitions and ignorance.
Next, you must understand that you cannot become free by “picking and choosing” from “their” collection of nonsense or by casting aside “some” or “most” concepts but continuing to cling to a few of “your” favorites. All ideas and concepts must all be cast aside in one fell swoop if you would be free. Please enter the silence of contemplation. (To be continued on Friday)
