TODAY’S CONSIDERATIONS

The wise will come to see that nothing has driven them throughout their lives more than the fears and the desires of their assigned and / or assumed identities and “Identities.” The specific way that personalities / roles / identities and “Identities” drive persons involves the way that the hidden, subconscious agendas of all personas drive thoughts and words and actions, robbing persons of the ability to make sane and wise and conscious choices even as they are convinced that they are deciding what they think and say and do.

In CHAPTER EIGHTEEN of The Relative Results of Returning to "The Child Ignorance Stage" or "The Child No-Knowing State" entitled “Identitylessness,” this is offered:

To review two of the key pointers regarding the “going back” process: First, the completion of the entire "journey" to Full Realization does not result in egotism and arrogance and narcissism being replaced by (always-false) "humility" or (always-false) "modesty" because those are nothing more than the opposite extreme of the "egotistical vs. humble" duality.

Next, the entire notion that one has become better, that one has become something really "good" or super religious or super spiritual, that one has really become SOMETHING (and "Something Special"), differs not at all from the same kind of deception and self-deception which plagues the totally non-Realized masses and which triggers use of the same ego-defense mechanisms (such as egotism and arrogance) which are always employed by anyone assuming an ego-state as an identity.

For those that arrive at the full understanding, it is understood that Reality only exists in one "form," namely, as the no-idea, no-concept, no-belief, no-identity, non-dual, ego-less, egotism-less, and nothingness-as-opposed-to-somethingness Reality.

One attending a retreat here years ago said: "You mentioned giving up being The Knower, but you also said that by the end of the journey we will understand the functioning of the totality." Then she asked: "So wouldn't that make us 'The Knower' or at least 'The Understander'?"

F.: "No. With full realization, any and all identity-assumption ends. At the point of the final understanding, yes, it is understood how simple the functioning of the totality is; and yes, it is understood that nothing more is happening than that things are simply coming together for a time and then coming apart (see the Second Law of Thermodynamics which applies);

furthermore, it is understood that with such chaos and instability, there is no 'grand order' or intelligent design in this universe and that there can be no Creator because there is only energy / matter and because energy / matter can be neither created nor destroyed."

IDENTITY-LESS-NESS AND MAHARAJ'S "TAKE" ON THE SUBJECT

Maharaj: “From the Absolute no-knowing state, spontaneously, this consciousness ‘I am’ has appeared—there is no reason, no cause.” [So, no "Causer" either.]

Once it is understood that . . .

** what is has always been and that

** there are no timelines because all is merely cycling - cycling in and cycling out - and that

** there is, therefore, no creation, no birth, no death, and no parents and that

** you are presently a composite unity of elements, air, and temporarily-manifested energy with the ability to be conscious-of, and that

** what comes together will come apart,

then . . .

the functioning of the totality is understood but it is the unblocked consciousness which understands and not some "one" or some "person." Moreover, once that is understood, it becomes ignored unless the subject is raised by a seeker.

Additionally, once the myths of birth and death and creation and beginning and end and self-ness and Self-ness are seen to be myths, then belief in all of the assumed identities that those myths have supported also ends. Once belief in the original lie and all subsequent lies ends, then there can be no "Believer," no "Knower," no "Understander." For a period, as the end of the "journey" is approached, there is identification with the nothingness, but eventually even that identity ends.

Also, the "journey" will not result in persons finally "seeing that their old beliefs have been disproved and then accepting that a new set of beliefs attained via some different (non-dual) teachings and understandings are true"; instead, the case is that all ideas and concepts and beliefs will have been disproved:

Maharaj: “When the birth is disproved, the great noble meaning of spirituality and the meaning of this world—everything—is disproved”

and

"After the information given to you by the mother, that you are a boy or girl, all your further acquisitions are by hearsay."

and

“When you are thoroughly knowledgeable, you will come to the conclusion that this beingness is also an illusion”

and

“Whatever you have tried to understand during your spiritual search will prove false."

Having seen the lies, Maharaj rejected all beliefs and ideas and concepts: “I have no faith in anything which has ever been told, not even what has been told by the Vedas."

Next, with the end of belief in lies, then all other beliefs about identity also end;

thus, Maharaj said:

“I take my stand in the original state where I was not aware that I am"

and

“From my angle, you are nothing. You have no identity”

and

"Both experience and experiencer will disappear."

So, the invitation here is the same offered by Maharaj to those who visited his loft:

“…You should go back, reverse, to the source”

and

“Follow the same path by which you came.”

Maharaj said that persons could engage in SELF-Inquiry (to seek "What They Are") if they like, but he also said that "self"-inquiry (finding all that you are not) would be enough. So consider:

A. if only about 60% of the "journey" is completed by finishing the first four of the seven steps on the "path" from identification with the false "I,"

and

 B. if a seeker completes at least 60% of the going back and reversing to the source while following in reverse the same path by which she or he came, then the seeker

will have transcended identification with the body / mind / personality triad;

will have been freed of living under the influence of the personality trance;

will understand the elements / air / conscious-energy triad;

and

will have reached the Child No-Knowing Stage where the seeker last experienced unconditional happiness.

And why was unconditional happiness experienced at that point but not afterwards? Because at that point the child had not yet been taught - and did not yet believe in - any of the false ideas and concepts and notions (a.k.a., "beliefs") which have been dreamed up and passed on by the ignorant and the insane for generations.

At that stage, there will be none of the hidden agendas and fears and desires which personality generates, and there will be no use of the vocabulary of duality which has been taught and which subconsciously drives insane thoughts and insane words and insane deeds.

In the absence of the subconscious driver (which is what the fiction-filled "mind" is), there can be no perceived needs, no baseless fears which drive accumulation, and no unmet desires.

At that point in the de-accumulation process which can happen by completing the first four of seven steps, whatever is will be "enough." And that can come with the completion of only about 60% of the steps on the "path," substantiating the earlier pointer that completion of even four of the seven steps is worthwhile, relatively speaking.

To be continued.

Please enter into the silence of contemplation.
