TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS
In the Pentatonix cover of John Lennon's non-duality-inspired song "Imagine" which was shared here yesterday,
the group identifies some of the many markers and labels and personal identifications which are at the root of the divisiveness which persons are presently engaging in on a global basis.
Scott, Mitch, Kirstie, Avi, and Kevin (all born in the U.S. but to parents with ties to a variety of nations around the globe, including predominantly-Caucasian nations, predominantly-Hispanic nations, Nigeria and Grenada, Israel, etc.) are the embodiment of the non-duality pointer that there is a Oneness beyond all of the perceived / misperceived multiplicity.
In the case of Pentatonix, that unity beyond the only-perceived multiplicity is embodied in their a cappella harmonies. As is the case around the globe, there is the perceived / misperceived diversity based only in "appearance"; yet the actual unicity is revealed by way of their united, perfectly-blending, harmonious voices.
What they and their blended voices offer is a concrete example of the abstract non-dual message that "beyond that which only appears to be different is an opportunity to join in solidarity and unite and abide in peace and harmony as One."
In the end, they offer the pointer that "we" are none of those labels which are used to try to separate and which support a belief in the concepts of "different-from-ment" and "better-than-ment" but that "we" are all (at least for the present) merely . . .
What are some of the markers / labels / personal identifications which they referenced?
"LGBTQ+'s" (who are not on the "approved list" of those who are proud of their "straightness" and who think their "proper orientation" gives them the right to tell others how to feel and live)
"Americans" (who almost all claim that theirs is "the greatest country on earth")
"Blacks and Latinas / Latinos" (and all others with melanin in cells called melanocytes which determine the skin color of darker-skinned humans as opposed to people with light skin is determined mainly by the bluish-white connective tissue under the dermis and by the hemoglobin circulating in the veins of the dermis").
How much "ignorance and stupidity and insanity" has to present in order to believe, "People with high levels melanocytes are so lazy and dumb and untrustworthy and useless that we should be rid of them. Give me people with bluish-white connective tissue. Those are the ones who are superior in all ways."
To that short list used in their video, the singers could have added many other concepts which persons with duality-based belief systems adhere to and take pride in. Consider:
Around the globe, fanatics and extremists who are dedicated to the teachings of the Old Guards of Duality are rearing their heads once more as they gain religious and monetary and political influence by appealing to those who believe in and glorify the most animosity-and-antagonism-and-discord-generating concepts imaginable (all based in duality). Such as?
Such as what is revealed by duality-based statements like these:
"My gender makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My sexual preference makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My skin color makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My superior values make me different from 'others'"
and
"My national origin makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My upper class / higher economic status makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My religious affiliation makes me different from 'others'"
and
"My higher spiritual state makes me different from 'others'"
all contributing to the following duality-and-arrogance-based belief:
"That which makes me different from those "others" also makes me better than them."
Then there is the attachment to such duality-based beliefs regarding:
xenophobia
racism and justified racial discrimination
white nationalism
white supremacy
homophobia
sexism
privilege
ethnocentrism
justified oppression
exceptionalism and "American exceptionalism"
ad infinitum.
Some that understand the way that belief in dualistic concepts fosters "ignorance, stupidity and insanity" (to use Maharaj's words) and also understand that those three symptoms of the Ultimate Sickness, in turn, spread chaos and disharmony and assaults and murder and even war, are among the ones that offer up non-dual considerations in order to nurture different perspectives which can lead to freedom and peace and happiness.
How many will "get it"? Per Maharaj, very few. Yet for each speck of consciousness which is unblocked when duality-based beliefs are cast aside, a different perspective can manifest; if that happens, then, another speck of peace or happiness can also manifest as well.
