TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE REGARDING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE AM-NESS VS. THE THAT-NESS: Maharaj's Paramount Shift, Part B"

So why did Maharaj's perspective regarding the AM-ness and the THAT-ness shift thusly, from this

to this

to this?

Why did his later message ignore all talk about "A Supreme Self," "An Infinite Self," "The Godhead," "The Infinite Self," etc.?

Why did he abandon promoting SELF-Enquiry and begin recommending self-enquiry (that is, a false-self-enquiry whereby seekers find all that they are not)?

Why did his message eventually focus on reality instead of Reality?

Why did he encourage seekers to give up on religion and spirituality and to abide naturally, to be free of all personal identifications, and then to abide as do children during their "Child No-Knowing" years when they were able to enjoy unconditional happiness if they had food, clothing, and shelter?

Those shifts in perspective came about based in what he had predicted. He said that "science will advance to the point someday that it will prove all of these teachings." Well, that happened. Science has proved that . . .

A. All is energy-matter; that

B. energy-matter cannot be created, nor can it be destroyed; that

C. Therefore, no one (and no One) ever created - or destroyed - anything; so

D. There is no creator or Creator. (Christ made that point 2000 year earlier: "Heaven and earth shall [both] fade away" and "No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven' because it only exists now, within.")

Science has also proved that . . .

E. All is merely cycling. Per The Second Law of Thermodynamics, everything that comes together will eventually come apart. Nothing will remain "intact" as is. That applies to the physical, elemental plant food body and it applies to any dreamed up gauzy, transparent, "soulful essence" form of that body. No rebirth; no eternal life in a heaven or hell; no post-manifestation form of any kind.

F. Thus, there is no who-ness now, there can be no WHO-ness now, and there will be no WHO-ness later.

G. So, why concern oneself with "later" and seeking an eternal reward or some "superior state" now when the only real chance for happiness ("reward") is . . . now, not "later"?

H. Science has proved that what persons call "a human" or "a human being" is actually nothing more than what Maharaj understood to be a three-part "composite unity"; that is, an elemental plant food body, circulating air, and circulating conscious-energy

I. Science also makes clear that as long as that composite unity remains manifest and functioning, it will never be stable and "the one same continuous thing or person." While persons long for eternal continuity, they do not even have continuity now. They must eat regularly in order to provide a constant supply of new elements to sustain a body which is never "the same body" as it only appears to be. (Skin is replaced every 28 days. The lining of the stomach is replaced every few days; etc.) That which persons see as "my body" is as much an illusion as the personas that they take to be "who they are." Why?

Because - per The Second Law of Thermodynamics - that form / body is forever coming together and coming apart, even as "life" continues for a time. Similarly, inhaled oxygen does not stay within the form. It must be cycled, in and out, regularly, in order for the form to be functional. As for the conscious-energy, that cycles as well. There is no such thing as "the consciousness which I am and have always been" because quantities of conscious-energy are also cycling in and out. That is also why persons must eat regularly, in order to replenish the supply of conscious-energy.

J. Science has proved, too, that whatever happens post-manifestation will take "care of itself," meaning that what happens will happen spontaneously without any "personal input" or a Guide or Guidance. The elements forming the plant food body will eventually un-combine (Second Law) and will merge back into the universal pool of elements; the air in the body at the point when mahasamadhi is taken will be released and will merge back into the universal pool of air; and the conscious-energy will be released from the body / space and will merge back into the universal pool of conscious-energy. Understanding all of that, of course it only made sense for Maharaj to redirect the focus of seekers toward the only thing that they can have any effect on and the only time that they can enjoy anything: namely, NOW. So what can they affect?

They can - if they have a functioning brain - have an effect upon the state of their minds and can thereby change the manner in which their relative existence unfolds. They can purge their minds of the nonsense - per Maharaj, of the "learned ignorance" - which they were taught via programming, conditioning, domestication, acculturation, brainwashing and indoctrination.

In Maharaj's words, they can undergo "realization" which he defined simply as "freedom from ignorance." In so doing, they can free themselves from being driven by the subconscious dictates of their assigned and assumed personalities which are all preoccupied with a variety of fears and desires.

The prerequisite for happiness is freedom. Person locked away in prisons are not happy. Set them free and they can be happy. So it is with all: the masses are all trapped in a prison, in the prison of their minds. All of their beliefs (which are based in learned ignorance) form the bars of the prison. To be happy, they must be freed from their prisons.

That can only happen if they cast aside all of the bars which are forming their prison. Then, free of beliefs and ignorance, they can walk about freely and can then have a chance at once again enjoying the unconditional happiness which was last manifested during their "Child Ignorance Stage" / "Child No-Knowing State."

Then the different perspective which results can allow the focus to shift away from what they can never be present for (i.e., the post-manifestation THAT-ness) and can focus on the only thing they can be present for, namely, the NOW-ness.

To be continued.
