NO END "PATHS"? A LIFE-LONG "JOURNEY" WHICH NEVER REACHES THE DESTINATION? A LIFETIME OF TREATMENT WITH NO CURE AT ALL? Sensible and Sane? Or Senseless and Insane? Part GGG - A REVIEW OF "THE REASONS"

TODAY'S CONSIDERATIONS 

Specific "reasons" cause persons 

• to be obsessive and compulsive 

• and render them unable to relax • and lead them to be driven to go and do and zoom (whether that involves religion; spirituality; employment; "personal relationships"; politicking; reforming; rescuing; seeking love; seeking mass approval and applause and admiration; trying to escape responsibilities; accumulating; finding caretakers; or controlling). 

• We are looking at what causes "the reasons" to manifest • and what must happen in order to be freed from their influence. We are looking at what causes "the reasons" to manifest and what must happen in order to be freed from their influence. 

So, to continue: 

Persons obsess, act compulsively, are unable to relax, are fanatical, are driven by subconscious motives, and do whatever authority figures tell them to do - unquestioningly - because of reason #38: persons are acculturated to be superficial and shallow yet, ironically, per reason #39, they show that they also embrace the complex over the simple; thus, per reason #41, they normalize chaos and instability. 

The causes of reasons #38, 39, and 41? 

ACCULTURATION, THE NORMALIZATION OF THE ABNORMAL, AND THE ADORATION OF THE SUPERNATURAL (THE SPIRITUAL) AND THE UNNATURAL WHICH FEEDS FANATICISM AND BLOCKS OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF ABIDING NATURALLY AND SANELY

For example, what is more insane than being unable to differentiate between what is abnormal and what is normal? This: 

Adults and their cultures being willing to pass down to children the most abnormal beliefs imaginable and then punishing children when their not-yet-deactivated-BS-detectors drive them to challenge the nonsense they are hearing from adults. 

What is more insane than being unable to differentiate between what is natural vs. all of the unnatural and supernatural nonsense dreamed up by humans? This:

Adults and their cultures being willing to pass down to children the most absurd beliefs imaginable about gods and goddesses or a god or some "force of the universe" that supposedly loves everyone unconditionally while still being willing to cast persons into eternal flames for a lifetime or being willing to subject persons to some other form of misery and suffering.

What is more insane than being willing to live a life of constant going and doing and zooming and accumulating without prioritizing rest and relaxation, must less considering the advantages of de-accumulation? This:

Adults and their cultures being willing to pass down to children a definition of "success" which is based solely in going and doing and zooming and accumulating without prioritizing rest and relaxation, must less considering the advantages of de-accumulation? 

Also, persons obsess, act compulsively, are unable to relax, are fanatical, are driven by subconscious motives, and do whatever authority figures tell them to do - unquestioningly - because of reason #40: the masses are identified with false roles, three of the most popular being "The Super Religious One" (played, by the 97% on the planet who claim a religious affiliation with one religion or another); and / or "The Spiritual Giant" (played by the millions who brag, "I am not religious! I am spiritual!") and "The Super Seeker" (played by those whose programming, conditioning, etc. drives them to remain on a "path" or "journey" for their entire lifetime). 

The cause of reason #40? 

PROGRAMMING, CONDITIONING, ACCULTURATION, BRAINWASHING AND INDOCTRINATION ALONG WITH THE ASSUMPTION OF PERSONALITIES AS ACTUAL IDENTITIES

Persons are taught to believe in nonsense and are then encouraged to go to "the four corners of the earth" and proselytize and try to make everyone else believe the same nonsense which they were taught. Again, 

Rev. Jim Rigby: 

"They are trying to give CPR to worldviews that have already died" 

or, 

as I paraphrased his point: 

"Persons are trying to give CPR to some amazingly sick worldviews which need to be allowed to go ahead and die, once and for all." 

The rub? 

Those types will become even more insane than they were made initially, and they will fanatically occupy themselves with their senselessly-endless paths and journeys and programs and, in some cases, they will actually kill those who refuse to accept their beliefs. And that killing has happened for thousands of years in the name of "Yahweh" or "Christ" or "Allah." 

In whose name have more died or been killed? In the name of Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun or Napoleon or Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar or Hitler? Combine the totals of all who died or were murdered in the name of Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun or Napoleon or Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar or Hitler and that total cannot come close to the total number of those killed, and still being killed, in the name of "Yahweh" or "Christ" or "Allah." 

The reigns of death inspired by the names of Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun and Napoleon and Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar and Hitler were relatively brief, historically-speaking, while the reigns of death perpetrated in the names of "Yahweh" or "Christ" or "Allah" began 1000 or 2000 or more years ago and are continuing right up to this morning, even as this post is being typed. 

Again, persons are trying to give CPR to some amazingly sick worldviews which need to be allowed to go ahead and die, once and for all. But they will not. 

As a result, billions of persons will obsess and will act compulsively and will behave in the most fanatical ways both imaginable and unimaginable because they will be driven to enter onto endless paths, to participate in endless journeys, or attach to programs offering treatment plans which clearly advertise that they cannot cure what ails their members. 

So it is, and so it shall remain for the masses, but it might change for a few here or for a few there.

"Sapolsky, Maharaj, and the Non-Dual Teachings"

There is much that a non-dualist or Advaitin or Nisargan can relate to by comparing and contrasting what Sapolsky reveals about the way certain troops of baboons live in Africa with the way that humans abide all around the globe.

This 152-page eBook catalogues the common, non-dual message shared by Sapolsky and Maharaj and reveals the ways that Sapolsky’s scientific research supports the non-dual pointers offered by Maharaj.

IV.
Seeking

In “PART ONE” it will be seen that most persons on the planet are not seeking, and most will never seek, but for those who are seeking, most will face several obstacles:

In “PART TWO” of this book, it will be seen why many criticized Maharaj for “changing his message in his later talks.” It will be seen that the changes were not about changing the message per se as much as about changing his methodology as he experimented with one version of the Ultimate Medicine after another in order to try to find an effective means for addressing the Ultimate Sickness.

He tried a religious version of the Medicine, a Spiritual version of the Medicine, and finally settled on a version which addressed to Sickness at its core . . . at the mental and emotional level.

V.
"THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEF OF ALL"

“Dangerous” is a term that can only apply during the relative existence, but of those who do commit suicide, for example, how many shoot themselves in the foot over and over until they “bleed out”? None. They shoot themselves in the head. Why? In order to try to stop the noise - to try to stop the chatter of a thousand monkeys – to stop the noisy mind which is the area that stores the ideas, notions, concepts, mind-stuff, etc. which drives them into the depths of insanity.

And what are those ideas, notions, concepts, etc. called, collectively? "Their beliefs." The irony? They are not their beliefs at all. They are the beliefs of “others” that were set in place via programming, conditioning, etc. and which persons then think are their own.

And what are those beliefs rooted in, and what reinforces those beliefs and convinces persons that they are sacred and worth fighting over and even sometimes worth dying for? Blind faith.
