DETACHMENT DISORDER
Various indicators of the presence of this disorder can include withdrawal; fear; sadness; or irritability that is not readily explained; a style of abidance marked by listlessness; showing no response if comfort is offered; a failure to smile; being totally self-absorbed and antisocial; or refusing to engage in social interactions.
The other tools used with this disorder: denial of facts; and denial “reality”; a preoccupation with “Reality only”; and distorting or escaping truth and reality by putting a “spin” or “twist" on all relative events.
The attitude of persons functioning / dysfunctioning in that way: “Come! Join me! Okay, actually, don’t join me, but if you want what I have, then you must model what I am doing”:
When the detachment disorder manifests among those who have been exposed to one version or another of the so-called "non-dual message," then the I AM THAT part of the summative statement of non-duality is supposedly focused upon while the I AM part is completely ignored. When that happens, persons claim to be "in touch with Reality," but the fact is that they are in touch with neither reality nor Reality.
Relatedly, an understanding of attachment disorders can reveal how personality disorders can impact "relationships" in a negative manner, relatively speaking:
First, recall that the human mind becomes warped via exposure to programming, conditioning, indoctrination, brainwashing, domestication, and acculturation. Because of acculturation, there is typically the passing down of the unique cultural traits which can vary from one nation to the next (including cultural "folkways," mores, taboos, and laws).
Thus, there are some nations in which attachment disorders are rare and other nations where attachment disorders are prevalent.
For example, attachment disorders might - comparatively speaking - manifest less among populations in some countries (such as Spain or Italy) than in Aryan cultures (such as those which exist in Germany, in the U.K., in some of the Northern European and Nordic countries, and in large sections of the U.S.)
I was dating a German woman and the third time or so that we went to her mother's house for dinner, her mom was standing near the kitchen counter. I approached her and and put my arm around her shoulder and said, "Good evening."
She bolted as if I had lit her up with a Vipertek VTS-989 300-million-volt taser.
The woman I was dating indicated with a head nod that I was to move to the back of the house with her, immediately. Once we had relocated, she explained with a combination of embarrassment and anger that my conduct was totally unacceptable.
I looked around as if I were being punked or as if Allen Funt had come out of retirement with his hidden camera to play some sort of trick on me.
Seeing I didn't "get it," she said through clenched teeth and pursed lips, "Our family does not hug."
I was stunned but finally asked, "Really? I guess it seemed a natural thing to do since - with a few exceptions - most people in my family and extended family are huggers who are always expressing love in one way or another."
She was aghast but was glad for the reminder that she also needed to make clear to me that, "Our family does not say 'I love you,' either. My brother and sister and I knew our parents loved us but they certainly never said the words out loud."
So let's look at this disorder in more detail for a moment:
1. Avoidant Attachment
Children develop avoidant relationship behaviors if early caregivers discourage expressions of distress or affection. They learn to hide feelings which, in turn, blocks their own ability to feel loved. Sometimes avoidant children withdraw completely from social interaction. Avoidant adults have difficulty creating emotional connections. Often, they experience extreme discomfort having or sharing feelings, and usually harbor a mistrust of intimacy.
2. Ambivalent Attachment
Ambivalence occurs when children are not sure whether their caregivers will provide the comfort and reassurance needed. The caregiver sometimes responds to their distress and other times . . . not at all. Because the caregiver is unpredictable, the child does not develop the confidence that their needs will be met. As adults, those with ambivalent attachment are susceptible to problems such as high anxiety, eating disorders, or depression. They have difficulty managing stress and the challenges which life presents, yet they may never recognize or “own” their symptoms so they will never seek help.
3. Disorganized Attachment
If a child signals a need for attachment, and the signals are not responded to, the child can develop a disorganized attachment pattern. This often happens if the caregiver has severe emotional or mental health problems, or if a caregiver is abusive to the child.
Early signs of disorganized attachment are disruptive behaviors, withdrawing from others, and delayed development. Adults with a disorganized pattern are at high risk for mental health and personality disorders. They often have a string of broken relationships behind them, may be self-harming, suicidal, aggressive, or controlling. They clearly demonstrate the significant imprint that early but faulty care-giving has on human development.
Oftentimes, the “absentee or emotionally-unavailable father issue” (indicated by a high Personality Type Two score here) can set up the insecure attachment syndrome. Once that is set up, then insecurity develops (evidenced by a high Personality Type Six score).
When insecurity develops in an individual being driven by the agenda of a Personality Style Six, then a high Personality Type Eight score usually shows up out of a willingness to fight for security, out of a determination to be certain that “never again will I suffer abuse,” and out of a belief that “the best defense for moving forward - and for assuring protection and safety and security for the entire remainder of my life - is a good offense.”
In short, there is either a sense that one is secure with an “ I’M O.K., YOU’RE O.K.” attitude; or there can be the belief that others are not to be trusted and that emotions and feelings are to be are suppressed (along with an “I DON’T NEED YOU” attitude);
or there can be the belief that one is not worthy of love, is unable to effectively get attention, and needs to find others willing to give comfort and protection (along with a “YOU’RE OPINION OF ME IS MORE VALUABLE THAN MY OWN OPINION OF ME” attitude);
or there can be the belief that one is not worthy of comfort and protection, that what is needed will not be available consistently, that others cannot trusted, and that one is better off if unavailable
(along with the attitude of persons with the Borderline Personality Disorder who show the instability of their contradictory and ever-changing mood swings with statements such as “COME HERE - NO, GO AWAY" or "I HATE YOU, NO WAIT DON’T LEAVE ME” or "I LOVE YOU - EVERYTHING'S GOING TO BE ALRIGHT" followed the next day by, "I'M LEAVING YOU").

OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE PERSONALITY DISORDER
The Obsessive–Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCD) is another mental disorder which characterizes the psyche of those obsessing over their religiosity or their spirituality or the "Self." "Obsessions" are thoughts which recur and persist despite efforts to ignore or confront them. Eventually, after persons obsess long enough, they will be driven to act out compulsively.
Most compulsive behaviors are rooted in the subconscious agenda of assumed identities, are driven by the fears and desires of personalities which always eventually leave persons on the defensive, and which can - in turn - drive such types into an offensive mode or into deep levels of psychosis.
How many seekers have spent decades in their seeking; on a “path”; wrapped up in their “journey”; absorbed in their “recovery process”; developing new dependencies on persons or groups; and being proud of being different from as a result of having found their “Supreme Self” or becoming “God”? Those are all indicators of the presence of OCD.
And how many in Mumbai who are like them are going a daily basis into a room which contains a small quantity of the ashes of “Maharaj,” scooped up by a sufferer of spiritual OCD? It is in that room where other OCD types gather daily to bow and to chant in the presence of those ash elements. Were he present and able, Maharaj would kick them out of that room and toss the ashes into the river. OCD out the wazoo.
In light of all that, what is endorsed here? This: living in a totally Nisargan (all-natural) mode, a mode which is unadulterated by programming, which is untainted by conditioning, which has not been warped by way of acculturation, which is no longer touched by the effects of domestication, which has not been modified by indoctrination, and which has not been contaminated by brainwashing.
In short, it is the same mode of abidance which is adhered by every living thing on the planet except for modern-day humans. The reason for that difference? Only modern humans are trying to navigate through the relative existence on a daily basis with the disadvantage of the major handicap called “the mind” which now hampers and impedes and hamstrings persons from behaving in a free and natural and normal manner;
instead, in such cases, the mind leaves them in a state of being impaired by a near-countless array of impediments and hindrances and obstacles and barriers and obstructions and constraints and blockages (which is exactly what is always generated by the nonsensical beliefs which have been accumulated in the minds of the masses).

Here,
with those who are still driven to talk about "god," the "Son of god,"
the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation
to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.
THE EXPLANATION
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
THE EXPLANATION
If
looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total
waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are
resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they
are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning?
There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept
of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa
Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in
close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and
glorify and give thanks to."
The
reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god
that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're
dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with
narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism
evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next,
in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had
her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part
of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the
"loving and caring" part.
"That
is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not
an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or
anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to
want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the
'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and
caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love
and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
and
"Heaven and earth shall fade away."
--Yeshu'a (Jesus)
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
and
"Heaven and hell are not geographic places
but are states of mind, nothing more than
concepts dreamed up by men."
--Pope John Paul II
"There is no hell."
"There is no hell."
--Pope Francis, the current pope
in an interview with journalist Eugenio Scalfari,
a writer used by the Pope to issue off the record
teachings which become a part of the Papal Magisterium.
[That
said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core
concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional
courage required to question the very existence of their institution in
light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children
and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of
billions of their members past and present.
And
that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about
why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to
continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and
conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will
they? Not likely. Why?
Because
what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the
international crime families which hold sway over the masses as
criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major
international crime families and which are the most influential and have
the largest memberships?
The
Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion
followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while
laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank);
Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers)
like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and
sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created
environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies
like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With
all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership
ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be
they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business,
politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and
they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the
driving forces at play.
The
masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their
groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem
because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the
people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the
masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved
with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the
continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate
the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types
of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
