“the dark traits” as virtues, thus leading persons who are unawake,
unaware, and unconscious to take the false for the true and to have
totally distorted perceptions
and also generates . . .
(2) duality.
Today, #1 will be discussed. Tomorrow #2 will be discussed.
Various cultures and nations have identified a variety of “ages” in their history. Thousands of such labels exist in order to facilitate a discussion of the various and varying aspects of cultures.
For example, during a particular “age,” were the citizens of a certain culture or nation “advancing” or “regressing” in terms of their interactions with each other; in terms of their educational levels; in terms of their scientific awarenesses; and in terms of their state of peace or war with each other or with neighboring nations?
Were alliances being strengthened or broken? Was their society behaving in a more or less civil manner than during previous ages? Were people more or less trapped in their culture’s dogma? Were the rights of the people expanding or being stripped away?
What form of government were they using? Were those in charge of government, business, and religion more democratic or more authoritarian and / or dictatorial? Were the basic needs of the populous being met in terms of income and housing and availability of food so that the society could focus on reading and advancement of awareness of certain aspects of human development involves with what is beyond meeting the basics?
Was separation by class and income more or less rigid than during previous ages? Were present generations suffering more or less than their ancestors? Was the average manifestation or “lifespan” increasing in length or decreasing? Were levels of cleanliness advanced enough to avoid widespread deaths by sickness and plagues or were the masses at that time more susceptible to illness than previous generations?
Were standards in place to protect the common people against corrupt government and business and religious leaders or not? Were leaders being held accountable or allowed to abuse their positions of authority?
If one has studied history and what the relative existence was like throughout the various “ages,” one is aware that all of the traits of cultures and nations referenced above are forever in a state of flux.
During my many trips to Amsterdam, I usually stayed in a hotel near Dam Square. Upon leaving any of the hotels in that area, if people exit the square and walk toward Amsterdam Centraal train station, they will come to where one canal has a bridge near the station.
On the side of that bridge above the waters of the canal, this large sign was always there:
Almost every generation throughout all of the “ages” have faced the task of standing up against the oppression and abuse of power which occurs time and again in most cultures or nations, and as I pointed out in the book The Board of Directors of Wars,
(1) oppression and abuse of power will always come
and
(2) oppression and abuse have historically come most often from one or more of these sources: big government, big business, and / or big religion (reinforced, as Maharaj pointed out, when there is a culture wide presence of big levels of ignorance, big levels of stupidity, and big levels of insanity).
The "ages labels" allow history professors and history students to have a common ground which allows an understanding of what was happening during a particular period and to see how certain events during certain ages “fit” into the flow of human activity and how the pendulum has been forever swinging between
(a) ages of ignorance vs. ages of awakening and enlightenment
and between
(b) ages of mass darkness vs. the light.
In the historical records of events on planet earth, some among the many “age labels” have included . . .
The Stone Age
The Bronze Age
The Iron Age
The Dark Ages
The Renaissance
The Age of Discovery
The Age of Enlightenment
The Atomic Age
The Space Age
The Information Age
and hundreds of others.
Moreover, throughout all of those, ever since the first instance of programming and conditioning and domestication and acculturation and indoctrination and brainwashing occurred, an Age of Duality has usually manifested in tandem with the others.
The “Dualistic Ages” or “Binary Ages” or “Base-2 Ages” or “Bilateral Ages” or “Divided Ages” or “Two vs. Not-Two Ages” can to some degree account for the presence of a population which suffers from warped-perspective-driven instability, as Yeshu’a (a.k.a., “Jesus”) noted some 2000 years ago when observing his culture and concluding:
“A dual-minded person is unstable in all ways.”
An irony is that in a society in which 90% or more of the people are trapped in duality-based belief systems, there might be slightly less chaos if an entire population is trapped in a state of “near-totally-widespread duality” than if there a near-exact balance of totally asleep citizens abiding alongside their somewhat awake counterparts.
In Florence, Italy, during the “Bonfire of the Vanities” days, the number among the 50% who were religious, science-hating fanatics increased enough to tip the scale and generate total chaos; they made sure that the somewhat awake would suffer miserably. When enough awakened enough to be able to see the misery and understand its source, then the pendulum reversed and the Dominican friar Girolamo Savonarola and the other leaders of the fanatics were eliminated and the means by which the Italian Renaissance could continue was back in place.
The result: the stage was set for the continuation of the earlier renewal or “rebirth” of interest in the humanities and in the arts and science and medicine and facts over fiction.
Of course that would be interrupted again. The point is, there is a “history-tracking pendulum” which is forever swinging, but - as Dr. King said - "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."
[What might the term “moral universe” mean to “non-dualists”? The closest that the understanding could point to during the relative existence would be with the term “the pure, universal consciousness.” For example, in the case of a finally-realized Maharaj, there was no “person” or “man” or “teacher” who was speaking;
what was speaking (through that space housing the temporarily-manifested, finally-unblocked conscious energy which was free of the mind and all beliefs) was “the pure universal consciousness.”
As for “justice,” that word is pointing toward "truth" with an invitation to stop believing lies, including lies about white supremacy, lies about what the masses should fear, lies about some having the right to shoot others, lies about some being better than others, (all of which is based arbitrarily on sexual preferences, on one’s economic state, on the color of one’s skin, and on any and all beliefs including those about being better than “the other” and better than “them.” Lies, lies, lies.]
No matter how much BS presidents or senators or representatives or governors or mayors or other governmental leaders put out, and no matter how much BS business leaders put out to get money from the masses, and no matter how much BS religious leaders put out to get money from the masses, "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."
That is, the acceptance of what is revealed via the pure universal consciousness will often be rejected, but the movement historically has often been observed to eventually bend toward truth. Does that last? Never.
The task of overcoming ignorance and rejecting all belief in learned ignorance is never-ending. As mentioned last week to a fellow in New York who has long been driven by “The Super Knower” identity, rock and roll, but what is offered here is not about accumulating more knowledge (a.k.a., learned ignorance) but is an offering to unteach so one might unlearn all of the nonsense which has been taught and stored in the mind and which is now being prized so highly.
As for the U.S. presently, it finds itself in that chaos-and-instability-and-conflict-generating state of a near-exact balance of totally asleep citizens abiding alongside their somewhat awake counterparts. That leaves this:
50% Republicans vs. 50% Democrats.
50% who are blindly pro-authoritarian vs. 50% who do not support any leader who displays dictatorial tendencies and behaviors.
Thus, there are . . .
50% who approve of an authoritarian / dictatorial leader
vs.
50% who would preserve democracy while knowing that changes are needed in that form of government as well.
And among the 50% who prefer authority and authoritarians there are therefore 50% who believe that the authorities - the police - are above reproach
and
50% who believe they need to be held accountable for unjustified killings.
And this breakdown as well:
50% who believe that the military and the police are as deserving of the blind, unquestioning faith which that same 50% give to their “god”
vs.
those who are aware that the military and the police for at least fifty years have been infiltrated by the KKK and are aware that for the last twenty years - while more and more police departments are taking on a paramilitary aspect and character and style and personality - have been infiltrated by . . .
white supremacists,
neo-nazis,
gang members and members of outlaw motorcycle gangs,
members of many violence-advocating far-right militias,
members of a variety of vigilante groups,
and, more and more,
members of “the Three Percenters group” which has been linked to multiple right-wing terror plots in recent years which involved those who are also members of police departments.
[Published three days ago and run in newspapers nationwide: “A former FBI agent has documented links between serving officers and racist militant activities in more than a dozen states” especially including Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.
Meanwhile, many claim that the way to address the problem of having a proliferation of trigger-happy officers in police departments is simply to “offer them some re-training and sensitivity-training.” Really? As if that will address and eliminate the prejudice and hatred at their very core which is driving them to want to kill non-whites and then act on that desire, so far with near-100% immunity? Really? There is no kind of training which will address the presence of The Dark Triad traits and bring to end the way that they control the thoughts and beliefs and words and actions of those who have the Dark Triad traits.]
A study of past “ages” reveals that when a near-exact fifty-fifty balance of totally asleep citizens abides alongside their somewhat awake counterparts, the stage is set for generating chaos-and-instability-and-conflict. Thus the non-dual understanding is being called for as much now as ever, yet typically, few have ever heard the call, no matter what age they might have lived in.

the "Holy Spirit," "Buddha," "Krishna," etc., etc., etc., the invitation
to them is to view those as verbs, not nouns.
THE EXPLANATION
Yeshu'a (Jesus) and Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis were spot on:
"No one shall ever see 'the kingdom of heaven.' It is within"
THE EXPLANATION
If
looked at as nouns, they point to illusions and are, therefore, a total
waste of time to even discuss; if looked at as verbs which are
resulting in certain sane but rare behaviors among humanity, then they
are worthy of some attention during the relative existence.
Meaning?
There are members of certain groups who say things such as "My concept
of god in the past was of a weak god, an absentee god, A Santa
Claus-type god, a mean, punishing, vindictive god, etc. Today, I am in
close contact with a loving and caring god whom I worship and praise and
glorify and give thanks to."
The
reply to that usually goes like this: "If you are in contact with a god
that wants to be worshipped and praised and glorified, then you're
dealing with someone like yourself - a narcissist - and hanging out with
narcissists will never bring an end to your narcissism (that narcissism
evidenced by the fact that you think you are "godly").
Next,
in the phrase 'loving and caring god,' any supposed god that truly had
her or his act together would tell you that the totally irrelevant part
of that phrase is 'god' and that the only part that is relevant is the
"loving and caring" part.
"That
is, a non-narcissistic their god / their goddess would say, "I care not
an iota about being worshipped and praised and glorified by you or
anyone else. How arrogant and insecure and needy would I have to be to
want that? Forget the man-made, dreamed up noun 'god' and focus on the
'god as a verb' understanding and then go forth and let loving and
caring be verbs - not adjectives - and let them generate the act of love
and the act of caring and let those actions manifest through you."

[That
said, would that the popes who have shown the courage to reject a core
concept of their dogma - namely, "hell" - would find the additional
courage required to question the very existence of their institution in
light of the centuries-long cover-up of their history of raping children
and in light of the mental and emotional and psychological scarring of
billions of their members past and present.
And
that need for courage also applies as questions need to be asked about
why so many other sky cults are still being supported and allowed to
continue to exist as well. When certain types of programming and
conditioning have been shown to blind the masses, they should end. Will
they? Not likely. Why?
Because
what the masses think and say and do is most influenced by the
international crime families which hold sway over the masses as
criminals conduct their planet-wide operations. What are the major
international crime families and which are the most influential and have
the largest memberships?
The
Mafia / La Cosa Nostra; the Catholic Church (with it 1.2 billion
followers) whose Vatican Bank worked for decades with the Mafia while
laundering mob earnings (for a 15% all-profit charge by the Bank);
Protestant and Evangelical Churches (with over 1.2 billion followers)
like the one I was raised in where the youth director molested and
sexually assaulted young girls; big business which has long created
environments in which people have been abused; powerful political bodies
like the U.S. Congress, etc., etc., etc.)
With
all of those crime families, neither the followers nor the leadership
ever voluntarily step down or shut down their criminal activities. Be
they gangs, organized crime families, religions, big business,
politicians, etc., they all want control and they all want power and
they all want money, and nothing internal will interfere with the
driving forces at play.
The
masses must demand that all those in charge must step down and their
groups and institutions must shut down, and there's the real problem
because the continuation of their crimes are enabled not as much by the
people running such crime organizations as they are enabled by the
masses of people who - wanting some perceived "payoff" - remain involved
with them and give them money and support them and aid and abet the
continued existence of those criminal enterprises and thus facilitate
the ability of church criminals and political criminals and other types
of criminals to continue to commit their crimes.]
