CONSCIOUSNESS and AWARENESS
Peace and AS IF LIVING
Recall the pointer offered earlier:
Nothing more has happened in the entire history of humankind and the "non-dual journey" than this:
the personalization of bliss (to the degree that “bliss” is an undisturbed vibration which was subsequently manifested and eventually personalized) manifested. It can now only be de-personalized via full realization and awareness.
"Full realization" per Maharaj, is nothing more than the result of rejecting all belief in the learned ignorance which a person was taught; thereafter, one can abide in an AS IF fashion.
What does "the AS IF fashion" refer to? That term point to the fact that - if realized fully - one will abide as if some things in the relative existence are meaningful while understanding that - actually – they are not.
Thus realized,
one can acquire a set of saleable skills and get a job but understand that
should that job be “lost,” other jobs can likely be found; meanwhile, if one
has a job, one can rise in the morning, prepare for a day’s work, complete the
tasks assigned, and then finish up after a day’s work as if all of that is significant
and meaningful while understanding that it is all just part of the relative
games which persons play. The fully realized understand that "meaning" and "purpose" are myths.
Also meanwhile, persons might be involved in “personal relationships” which can generate scores of false identities (such as “significant other,” “partner,” “mate,” “fiancé” or fiancée,” “wife,” husband, “mother,” “father,” etc., etc., etc, all of which will generate unwarranted fears and more often than not unmet desires and - therefore - much mind-based suffering and misery).
And
some will become acculturated and conditioned to allow the religion of their
parents to become “their religion” and then allow the most powerful influence
in their lives to be that religion’s dogma and that religions leaders, again negating any opportunity to abide in the freedom of the AS IF style.
They will not be able to abide in an AS IF fashion because the rigidity or guilt or anxiety generated by their religion’s teachings are likely to dominate their thoughts and words and actions throughout their entire relative existence.
As a result, they will never realize (that is, they will never be freed of the effects of believing the nonsensical and foolish and ignorant and insane beliefs which they were taught).
Consider by way of illustration the roots of the Catholics’ “Fish Friday” concept. In the right-wing, religion-controlled city where I went to school for twelve years, I knew that every Friday, we would be served some really crappy fish sticks. They tasted old and sometimes even rotten, and many non-Catholic children in the schools went hungry because we could not stomach the Catholic’s fish.
But because the Catholic students had to eat fish on Fridays, so did every other person, and that was pretty much the case in every state in the U.S. "What??! I asked. Why?!!, I asked."
Eventually, after centuries, it seemed that a change - a respite from one of dogma's more ignorant teachings - was possibly coming. In early 1966, Pope Paul VI urged at the Second Vatican Council that that the Church's rules on fasting and abstinence be relaxed, including the concept of "Fish Friday."
In the U.S., Catholic bishops declared that “Meatless Fridays” “would end in late 1966 except during Lent Fridays and on Ash Wednesday.”
Yet many Catholics, programmed and conditioned for so long by the church, refused to break the habit. Those rigid, unbending, inflexible members of the church continued to observe Meatless Fridays and continued to force their beliefs and practices on an entire nation and an entire planet.
And to this day, there are some rigid types - whether totally ignorant persons or educated or intellectual persons - still want to force others to adopt their religious rules and practices, including those around fasting and abstinence.
Take one doctor for example. A friend recently told me that her daughter’s medical doctor husband has returned to the severity and stiffness of the Catholicism-dominated days of his childhood. She said the plans were the daughter and her family would come into town on Friday for a visit and have a dinner with her. The daughters' two children loved my friend’s meat-containing Asian salad and asked that she serve that.
She agreed. Then, she got a call from her daughter explaining that they would not be seeing her on Friday but would eat dinner with her on Saturday because her husband had returned to the observance of of Fish Friday and Meatless Fridays (this in the year 2021).
[He is the same husband who, along with the daughter, also did not want any more children and told his wife after the birth of their second child to start taking birth control pills.
Later, when his wife developed severe problems as a result of the pill’s side effects, he refused to be snipped, convinced that she was going to go to hell for using birth control - which he wanted her to do - but that he was not going to be sent to hell because he had gotten snipped and was practicing birth control himself (as if he were not already doing that with her being on the pill.)
Some of his typical statements made along with those of his same ilk:
“You take the pill and stay sick.”
“You are all to eat fish on Friday because I do.”
“You all need to become Catholics because Catholicism is the only true religion and all who die without being Catholics are going to hell.”
“Women do not have the right to choose to have an abortion, even if their doctor has told them that they were guaranteed to die during childbirth or even if they were impregnated during an incestuous rape.”]
And so much for the political right-wing party which he is a member of. He and his fellow congregants protest that “they will not tolerate having their rights impeded by government” even as they want their religion to be able to impede the rights of all who do adhere to their belief system.
Talk about the bullshit of refusing to realize and to abandon rigid, nonsensical beliefs. And this is a doctor with a high IQ. So much for intelligence and learning being a preventive of the Ultimate Sickness and its symptoms of "ignorance and stupidity and insanity").
And so much for religions supposedly “bringing people together” and allowing “peace to manifest on earth.” Again, to use one of Maharaj’s favorite words: “Bullshit.”
Once abidance as a body or mind or persona is transitioned, once abidance as “a self” or “a Self” is transitioned, once abidance as the re-purified consciousness is transitioned, then abidance as the Absolute can happen.
Then, for the remainder of the manifestation, AS IF living can happen. Recall these pointer as well which explain the way that AS IF Living happens:
You are, but there are no “thoughts,” no “mind,” and no false sense of separation.
There is no sense of confinement.
There is no fighting with others who believe that you are not as “good” as them, their being convinced of your lower status by their ego-state-driven agendas and the egotism which supports the continuation of their false, ignorant beliefs.
There will no longer be the constant chatter of a thousand monkeys inside one’s head.
Peace and AS IF Living happen from a point of total “mindlessness.”
Peace and AS IF Living happen without identity.
Peace and AS IF Living happen without concepts.
Peace and AS IF Living happen from a position of neutrality.
Peace and AS IF Living happen from the stance of Pure Witnessing.
Peace and AS IF Living happen when the Oneness is known.
Peace and AS IF Living happen beyond self-ness, Self-ness, beingness, and non-beingness.
Peace and AS IF Living happen when persons transcend all personalization and abide as the Absolute.
Again, recall that Krishna said, “Those alone who understand that I, the Absolute, am beyond the states of being and non-being realize my true nature, and all others are fools.”
Peace and AS IF Living happen when the role of “fool” is no longer played and the unspeakable truth is nevertheless understood.
Then, the truth speaks from within and the full understanding of the functioning of the totality happens.
And once that happens, all attachment to false beliefs and false identities and false Identities will end, as will the angst and fear and anger and rigidity and a desire to control all others;
and
attachment to the ignorance and stupidity and insanity which are the key traits of the Ultimate Sickness and which end any chance for peace and calmness and contentment and happiness to manifest can also end).
Peace, Unity, Love, Light, and Sanity.
